The Flash faces off with Arrow this week in the highly anticipated two-part crossover that fans have been really excited about. Today the CW has released an extended trailer for fans to enjoy. Both of these shows are fantastic, and these upcoming crossover episodes look like they are going to be great!

The crossover kicks off with The Flash in the episode titled, "Flash Vs. Arrow," which will air on December 2nd. The story continues in the eighth episode of Arrow Season 3, which is called “The Brave and the Bold,” which will air on December 3rd.

Here is the official description for "Flash Vs. Arrow":

Barry is thrilled when Oliver, Felicity and Diggle come to Central City to investigate a case involving a deadly boomerang. Excited about teaming up with his friend, Barry asks Oliver if he’d like to help him stop Ray Bivolo (guest star Patrick Sabongui), the meta-human Barry is currently tracking. Bivolo causes people to lose control of their emotions and has been using that skill to rob banks. Unfortunately, the superhero partnership doesn’t go as smoothly as Barry expected. When Oliver tells Barry he still has a lot to learn, Barry sets out to prove him wrong by attempting to stop Bivolo alone. However, when Bivolo infects Barry and sets him on a rage rampage, everyone is in danger, and the only one who can stop him is the Arrow. Meanwhile, Iris is furious when Eddie tries to get a task force to stop The Flash, Joe and Dr. Wells agree the Arrow is a bad influence on Barry, and Caitlin and Cisco deal with a new team in S.T.A.R. Labs.

Here's the description for “The Brave and the Bold”:

Oliver, Arsenal and Diggle track down the location of a boomerang-wielding killer named Digger Harkness (guest star Nick Tarabay) but are surprised when they come face to face with an A.R.G.U.S. team. Diggle asks Lyla why A.R.G.U.S. is involved but she defers until Harkness attacks the building, killing several agents and targeting Lyla. The Arrow joins the fight and gets help from an old friend – The Flash. Harkness manages to get away and Oliver teams up with Barry again to find him before he can get to Lyla. When Harkness plants five bombs in the city that are timed to explode at the same time, both teams must come together to save the city.

This Guy Already Has A STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Tattoo

Peter Jackson (who I hope directs a Star Wars film one day) had a famous motto while filming The Lord of the Rings trilogy: “Pain is temporary, film is forever!” I assume Jordan Breckon, who appears to be the first person to get a Star Wars: The Force Awakens tattoo, probably has a motto that goes like this: “Pain is temporary, this tattoo is forever… I hope this robot droid character doesn’t suck.” Okay, he seems a lot more sure of himself in his hashtag riddled Instagram post:

I may have the first ever #episodeVII tattoo haha! This little dude is the shit! @tyler480 killed it on this tattoo, thanks so much man! Cue the Star Wars theme! #starwars #theforceawakens #episodeVII #balldroid #droid #jjabrams #lucasfilms #disney #tattoo #tattoos #starwarstattoo #ink #bodyart #aztattoo #blacklotustattoo

Uma foto publicada por Jordan Breckon ✌ (@ibreckon) em

Getting a tattoo is already enough of a commitment. Getting a tattoo of a mystery character that popped up in a trailer for a movie that isn't finished yet? That is a whole other, potentially disastrous/definitely permanent, situation. As io9 reader Arturo327 points out, Breckon could end up like one of the Seth Rogen characters from Fanboys (see video below if you don’t get the reference).

"Jingle Bells" Sung by New and Classic Disney Movies - Mashup

It’s the Christmas season, and you have no doubt been bombarded by holiday music if you listen to the radio or did any Christmas shopping over the Thanksgiving weekend. Disney Movies Anywhere would like to further help you get into the Christmas spirit with this short video that uses clips from Disney animated and live-action movies to create a mashup rendition of “Jingle Bells.” Classic and new films alike were used, from the beloved 1964 film Mary Poppins to 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks, which was about the tumultuous road Walt Disney had to take to secure the rights to make Mary Poppins, and from Sleeping Beauty to Snow Dogs, which was a movie about the tumultuous road Cuba Gooding Jr.'s career took after prematurely winning an Oscar, or it was about dog sledding or whatever.

“What’s wrong, McFly? Chicken?” No, He’s a Dog

What if Back to the Future director Robert Zemeckis changed the casting of Marty McFly for the third time and replaced Michael J. Fox with a dog? That’d be one cute movie, as evidenced by this cosplaying dog (via Reddit). It’d also be insanely silly. How silly? About as silly traveling to the future to fix an easily preventable event that won’t happen for 30 years — lookin' at you Part 2. So it’d be fun, but kinda pointless when you actually think about it.

I've got two words for people in the comments section: Barky McFly. There, I beat you to it.

A lot of people thought it odd that the Batmobile would have missiles, gun turret, and cannon in the Batman: Arkham Knight game. But after watching it in action against tanks, all doubts should be set aside. Clearly, Batman needs it against the military force of the Arkham Knight.

Sharp Fan-Made SPLINTER CELL Movie

We know a Splinter Cell movie is in development with Ubisoft producing. The potential for a unique movie is there with the game's mix of espionage and stealth. With Doug Liman directing and Tom Hardy starting as Sam Fisher, the movie seems to be in solid hands.

Atomic Productions has created a fan film titled "The Splinter Cell" that has a lot of sharp elements — from the production quality to the story structure. It's pretty interesting to see what the makers of this zero to low budget short film were able to do.

2 Clips From THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES - War!

Warner Bros. has released two new clips and five new images from Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies to help pump up the fans even more to watch the final chapter in the Hobbit trilogy. The first clip features an epic battle sequence, and the second one is called “Thorin Must Be Warned,” and it shows Bilbo volunteering to warn Thorin of being overrun. As for the photos, we’ve seen a few of these shots already in the trailer, but these are high resolution shots that you could use as screensaver if you want.

I think the first two films of this Hobbit trilogy have been great. I know not everyone agrees with me on that, but that’s ok. This final film in the trilogy looks like it’s going to end strong.

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.

Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain.

As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

The movie hits theaters on December 17th.

Andy Serkis Discusses Multiple PLANET OF THE APES Films

Allegedly the upcoming untitled Planet of the Apes film is supposed to be the last one in the current run. But in an interview with MTV, actor Andy Serkis, who plays Caesar in the movies, says it’s too early to tell. He then proceeds to tease that we could possibly see up to five more films in the franchise.

"It's very, very early in where we choose to drop anchor in the next film. It could be five years after the event, it could be the night after the events of where we left 'Dawn,' so it's very difficult to know where the story is going right at this moment because it's being written as we speak. I know that part of the desire for Matt [Reeves] to do this next movie is about continuing the enjoyment of seeing these apes evolve. So I don't think we're going to see a situation where we're jumping….It might be three films, It could be four. It could be five. Who knows? But the journey will continue. It might not necessarily be summarized or completely fulfilled in this next one. The point being, eventually we know that we're going to end up back at 'The Planet of the Apes,' but whether it's this film or not, I don't know."

As long as 20th Century Fox is raking in the bucks for these movie, I think they’ll continue to pump them out whether director Matt Reeves wants to or not. I don’t care how many movies they make, as long as they keep making them as awesome as they have been.

I don’t know about you, but over Thanksgiving weekend all anyone I was hanging out with was talking about was that amazing trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Fans were picking it apart, creating fan art, and creating parody vides that you can watch here and here.

As you know, Kevin Smith is a huge fan of the franchise, and it seems like a lot of people value his opinion. Thanks to The Comlink, we have a video from the filmmaker in which he shares his feelings about what he had seen. One of the things he said was:

“I was really taken back to that moment. I remember sitting there watching the trailer for Empire Strikes Back and being electrified, being overjoyed. The cynicism and crap that comes along with being a fat, middle-aged man goes away in the face of [the Star Wars: The Force Awakens] trailer. At least it did for me, man. That’s the best thing I can say about it is it took me back to that moment in my youth.”

Like the rest of us, he’s excited to see more. “Hopefully we’ll get to see Chewie. And Han. And Leia. And Luke,” he says. “And I know I’m pushing it, but maybe Lando?”

I’m sure there are going to be some fun surprises revealed between now and when the movie is actually released on December 18th, 2015. In the meantime we’ll just have to enjoy what we’ve got… over and over and over again.

Bill & Ted Coming Back in Comic Book Form

While we wait to see if Bill & Ted 3 actually happens, fans of the characters will be be happy to know that they will be back in comic book form. I know that it’s not as awesome as a third movie would be, but at least it’s something to tide us over.

Boom! Studios editor Ian Brill made the announcement on Twitter, and these are the tweets leading up to the big reveal:

This isn’t the first time that Bill & Ted has been adapted for a comic book. Back in 1991 Marvel released Bill and Ted’s Excellent Comic Book, which is pictured above, and it ran 12 issues. Wyld Stallyns is a great name for a comic, and it will be fun to see what new adventures these two characters find themselves on.

Hopefully one day that third movie will get made. The reason that it hasn’t gone into production yet is because of how much money it would cost to make. In an interviewKeanu Reeves said,

“We have to get the script in the right place. Chris and Ed have been working really hard over a couple of years to get the draft in the right place. What is the reason to make this movie besides nostalgia or the love of these characters. Where can they be in their life that can be a story that is worth telling or has something in it and is funny? They have that. It didn't help that the first script that they brought in was probably budgeted at $150 million dollars. I don't know if Bill & Ted carry that much weight. Part of the argument is that it's not that popular internationally, that's where so much of the funding for movies comes from these days. They've worked on the script and the budget, just trying to get the right script and then get the business side wrapped up, financiers and rights, all the show business stuff."”

Does a new Bill & Ted comic book interest you at all?

The parody trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens continue to roll in, and we have four new ones that are worth checking out. The first is my favorite as it hilariously mashes the trailer up with Mel Brooks' Spaceballs. The second video features some Disney fun, the third is another mashup with The Phantom Menace, and the last one uses footage from The Empire Strikes Back. To watch the two parody videos that we posted previously, click here. There are elements in all of these that fans should enjoy, but out of all the parody videos that have been released so far, which is your favorite?

THE WALKING DEAD’s Daryl Dixon's Sexual Orientation Revealed

There’s been a lot of discussion among fans and online regarding Daryl Dixon’s sexual orientation on The Walking Dead. A lot of people seemed to believe that his character was gay, and there was a lot of chatter from people involved with the series that made fans believe that.

Back in August a fan asked Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman if Daryl Dixon was gay. He gave his answer in the back of issue #130 of The Walking Dead comic book series, saying, "It’s been discussed." Not long after that, series showrunner Scott M. Gimple said Daryl's sexuality would not be addressed in season five. Then Norman Reedus revealed that former showrunner, Frank Darabont, did have discussions about this and that they wanted Daryl to be "prison gay." Kirkman has now put this all to rest during the recent episode of The Talking Dead, in which he reveals that Daryl is straight. This is what he said:

“Daryl Dixon is being somewhat asexual on the show, he’s a very introverted character and I think that’s somewhat his appeal… I just wanted to make it clear that the possibility is there and I would’ve been fine with it, the network would have been fine with it, but we ultimately didn’t do that. I can make it official, Daryl Dixon is actually straight, but coming back in the next half of the season we’re going to be introducing a very prominent gay character from the comics that’ll be debuting.”

So there it is. Gay or straight, Daryl is one of the best and most badass characters in the series. Hopefully they don’t kill him off… ever.

Stephen Hawking Wants to Play a James Bond Villain

I hope the producers of the James Bond films sees this because it needs to happen! Professor Stephen Hawking, who is the subject of the biopic The Theory of Everything, said in a recent interview with Wired magazine that he would want to play a James Bond villain.

"My ideal role would be a baddie in James Bond. I think the wheelchair and the computer voice would fit the part."

Hell yeah, it would! I think it would be awesome if Hawking got to play a villain in this franchise. I could see him being a very menacing adversary to 007. I could totally see him in this world. This wouldn't be the first time he would appear on screen, as he also appeared in episodes of Star Trek and The Simpsons.

Christoph Waltz seems to be taking on the main villain role in the upcoming Bond 24 film. Rumors suggest he will be playing Ernst Stavro. I think Bond producers should definitely consider the option of bringing Hawking in as a villain.

When Will We See Another Trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS?

when-will-we-see-another-trailer-for-star-wars-the-force-awakens

I'm really happy that Disney and Lucasfilm gave us the teaser trailer that they did, especially with so much time before the film is being released. It was an amazing tease, and fans all over the world wet themselves happiness. So when will we see the next trailer for the film?!

According to /Film, another trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be attached to Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron when it opens on May 1st, 2015. That is five months away, folks. Five months of waiting to see more Star Wars awesomeness! After that trailer hits we have  to wait seven more months before The Force Awakens is released in theaters. I'm sure we'll see lots of other trailers, TV spots, featurettes, and clips leading up to the film during that time span.

It makes complete sense that they would attach the Star Wars trailer to Avengers: Age of Ultron. I imagine that will be the first full trailer for the film. There's no word on if we will see any other teaser trailers leading up to that trailer, but iTunes labeled the recently released trailer as the “First Teaser.” Does that mean we will see more teasers leading up to the trailer that will play with Age of Ultron? I have no idea, but I'm honestly ok with waiting five months for the next trailer. Are you?

Two of the lead roles have been cast for The Walking Dead companion series that is currently in development. The roles will be played by Frank Dillane (Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince) and Alycia Debnam Carey (Into the Storm). The series is also now going by the name of Cobalt

Walkingdeadcasting1212

The news comes from Deadline, and they say that the story "takes place during the same zombie apocalypse depicted on The Walking Dead but in a different location. It revolves around a male divorced teacher and a female guidance counselor." Dillane will play the woman’s son, who has battled some drug problems, and Debnam Carey plays the woman’s ambitious daughter.

Cobalt was co-created by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman and Sons of Anarchy writer Dave EricksonAdam Davidson is set to direct the pilot episode, and I've included the previously released breakdown of characters in the story below.

SEAN CABRERA | A Latino male in his early 40s, Sean is a good man trying to do right by everyone in his life.
CODY CABRERA | Sean’s whip-smart and rebellious teenage son. Known as the angriest kid in town.
NANCY TOMPKINS | A thirtysomething single mom to two kids, Nancy looks like the girl next door, but there’s an edge to her.
NICK TOMPKINS | Nancy’s screwed up teenage son. He’s too old to stay home, too scared to flee.
ASHLEY TOMPKINS | Nancy’s mostly level-headed teenage daughter. Her ambition is in direct proportion to her older brother’s failures. She loves her mom but it’s time to get out of Dodge.
ANDREA CHAPMAN | A somewhat wilted flower child, fortysomething Andrea — yep, another Andrea! — has retreated to the outskirts of the city to recover after a horrible marriage.

There's a lot of people who love this Walking Dead series, and I hope this companion show turns out to be just as good. We'll keep you updated as information becomes available.

YouTuber Bobby Burns has created a great Guardians of the Galaxy trailer that's basically a mashup with J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser. It uses the audio from the Star Wars teaser and the visuals from Guardians of the Galaxy. It's pretty awesome to see how well these two franchises fit together, especially when the John Williams score kicks in! I know we'll never see Star Wars crossover with Marvel, but it would be pretty rad if it did.

TERMINATOR: GENISYS Motion Poster, Trailer Coming Soon

Paramount Pictures has released a motion poster for the upcoming Alan Taylor-directed film Terminator: Genisys. You can check out the poster below. The studio has also confirmed that the first trailer for the highly anticipated film will debut this Thursday! So make sure to check back here, because we'll have it up for you to watch as soon as it hits. I'm really excited to get a look at the first footage from this movie.

The movie is going to play with the continuity of the whole Terminator franchise. Apparently they've even recreated scenes from the first two films to play into this new film's timeline. Sarah Connor was raised by Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Terminator in the story, and it will also feature a man/machine hybrid as the main villain, which has been described by the filmmakers as a “visual game changer.”

The movie stars Schwarzenegger, Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung Hun Lee, and Matt Smith. Here's the synopsis that was released:

Terminator: Genisys starts in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

This will be the first in a planed trilogy, and it will be released in theaters on July 1st, 2015.
