FURY — Brutal Clip With Nazi POW, New Featurette, 4 More Clips, and B-Roll

An intense clip from Fury has Brad Pitt as War Daddy forcing Norman Ellison (Logan Lerman) to kill an unarmed Nazi POW. "War is Hell," and it often requires killing to win. The clip cuts before the resoltuion to the scene, but it does presents a very clear reality: everything soft about Lerman's character is going to be destroyed.

A featurette titled "Heart and Soul" talks about the relationship between the two characters, how it evolves, and the journey they will take. There are also four more clips that should give you a feeling of what the movie will be like. Finally, we have almost four minutes of b-roll, which is a raw presentation of the film's production.

Fury hits theaters October 17th (USA).

This week's GeekTyrant VS episode features a debate over two of comics' greatest superhero archers… Marvel's Hawkeye versus DC's Green Arrow. While fans still wait for Hawkeye to be fully realized in the Marvel cinematic universe, Green Arrow is kicking ass in his own TV series. Of course, the two teams of geeks are making their arguments based on the two superheroes' full body of work in the comics, and not just what we've seen in the movies and on TV. Watch the video below and let us know which side you fall on, Hawkeye or Green Arrow? This is another great episode, and we hope you enjoy it.

The latest character poster for Peter Jackson's The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies features Lady of Lothlórien herself, Galadriel, who, as you know, is played by the beautiful Cate Blanchett. She was such a perfect casting choice for this character. She has a very intense look in this poster, and you could seriously just get lost in those eyes of hers. We have previously shared posters featuring Gandalf and Bilbo, and you can expect to see more.

The film will be released on December 17th. Here's the synopsis:

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies brings to an epic conclusion the adventures of Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield and the Company of Dwarves. Having reclaimed their homeland from the Dragon Smaug, the Company has unwittingly unleashed a deadly force into the world. Enraged, Smaug rains his fiery wrath down upon the defenseless men, women and children of Lake-town.
Obsessed above all else with his reclaimed treasure, Thorin sacrifices friendship and honor to hoard it as Bilbo’s frantic attempts to make him see reason drive the Hobbit towards a desperate and dangerous choice. But there are even greater dangers ahead. Unseen by any but the Wizard Gandalf, the great enemy Sauron has sent forth legions of Orcs in a stealth attack upon the Lonely Mountain.
As darkness converges on their escalating conflict, the races of Dwarves, Elves and Men must decide – unite or be destroyed. Bilbo finds himself fighting for his life and the lives of his friends in the epic Battle of the Five Armies, as the future of Middle-earth hangs in the balance.

WORLD OF WARCRAFT Teams Up with McDonald's in China

Why does China get all of the cool, geeky McDonald's team-ups!? They recently revealed a Batman Burger Meal, and now they have a cross-promotion with World of Warcraft. It's meant to help build some hype for the game's new "Warlords of Draenor" expansion pack. There are three McDonald's restaurants in China's biggest cities that have been transformed into WoW-themed restaurants. I came across the news over on Kotaku who explain,

The themed stores will be around until November 4, when they'll turn back into regular o'le Mickey D's. That said, during this time, people ordering McDonald's delivery in China will receive a points card that can be used to redeem items within WoW. If you order enough McDonald's, you can get anything from in game potions to pets.

It seems like the only thing we get from McDonald's here in the states is that damned Monopoly game. We should be getting stuff like this here! I might actually eat at McDonald's if they did. Check out some more photos below.

INTERSTELLAR - IMAX Extended TV Spot

interstellar-imax-extended-tv-spot

An extended TV spot has been released by IMAX for Christopher Nolan's upcoming sci-fi space adventure movie, Interstellar. IMAX is my preferred moviegoing experience, and I'm definitely going to be seeing Interstellar in that format. This movie looks incredible, and I recently talked to someone who has seen it. I didn't ask for any details but, they did say that it was the greatest movie that they had seen in the last 5 years, so that's something. They also said it was beyond epic, so now I guess we need to come up with a word that is more epic than epic.

The story follows a group of space explorers "who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage." Their mission is to find a planet that can sustain life.

It stars Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Bill Irwin, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, David Gyasi, Wes Bentley, Mackenzie Foy, Topher Grace, David Oyelowo, Ellen Burstyn, and Michael Caine. It will be released in select IMAX and 35mm theaters on November 5th, 2014. Digital projection theaters will get the film on November 7th.

DUCKTALES Theme Song Gets a Heavy Metal Cover

Disney's 1987 cartoon series Ducktales easily had one of the most catchy theme songs ever. Even though I haven't seen the show in years, sometimes that damn tune just pops into my head from out of nowhere, and I can't get it out. Today I brought that curse upon myself by watching this video of YouTube user 331Erock playing a heavy metal version of the song. We recently posted the opening sequence of Ducktales re-imagined with real ducks, which you can check out here. You can also watch a few other videos that we've posted of this dude rocking out. They include the theme to Robocop, The Hobbit, and Frozen's "Let it Go."

3 TV Spots for NBC's CONSTANTINE

NBC has released three new TV spots for their upcoming show Constantine, which is based on the DC Comics series Hellblazer. This show looks like it's going to be awesome. It has a very dark and gritty feel to it. I just hope that it is able to set itself apart from The CW's Supernatural because I can see the similarities. This series has a few things going for it to distance itself from Supernatural, though. First of all, the story of Constantine existed before Supernatural, and the John Constantine character is a lot better and cooler than anyone in the CW series. I'm sure fans of Supernatural might disagree with me on that, but I'm a big fan of John Constantine, so you won't change my mind about that. It seems like the talent that created the show did a great job of bringing Constantine to life. Here's a description of the story:

Seasoned demon hunter and master of the occult John Constantine (Matt Ryan) specializes in giving hell… hell. Armed with a ferocious knowledge of the dark arts and his wickedly naughty wit, he fights the good fight – or at least he did. With his soul already damned to hell, he's decided to leave his do-gooder life behind, but when demons target Liv (Lucy Griffiths), the daughter of one of Constantine's oldest friends, he's reluctantly thrust back into the fray – and he'll do whatever it takes to save her.

Before long, it’s revealed that Liv's "second sight"–an ability to see the worlds behind our world and predict supernatural occurrences–is a threat to a mysterious new evil that’s rising in the shadows. Now it's not just Liv who needs protection; the angels are starting to get worried too. So, together, Constantine and Liv must use her power and his skills to travel the country, find the demons that threaten our world and send them back where they belong. After that, who knows… maybe there's hope for him and his soul after all.

Constantine is set to premiere on Friday, October 24th, and will air Fridays at 10 PM on NBC.

REVIEW: Hot Toys 1/6 Scale Batman Armory with Batman

We’ve posted some pictures of the Hot Toys 1/6 scale replica of the Batman Armory from The Dark Knight before. You can salivate over them here. Based on the armory Batman used while the Batcave was under construction in The Dark Knight, there are three versions of the set — the full version comes with Bruce Wayne and Alfred figures as well as Batman and his armory. There is another that comes with Alfred, Batman, and the Armory, and the other set only has the Batman figure and his astonishingly vast collection of weapons. Well, “only.” After playing with it for a week, I can tell you that the smallest set is still plenty expansive. Hot Toys provided me with a set to review, and honestly, opening the box I felt like a kid on Christmas. And then I opened another box, and then another. The packaging is (understandably) intense, but it makes the unboxing all the more fun/overwhelming. There is a lot to unwrap. (If you plan to play with yours for a little bit and then return it to the box, take notes on how everything fits together, or you will never get it back in.)

When you get through all the layers of cardboard and plastic, the first thing you get to is the Batman figurine and his various faces and hands. The face and body are incredibly detailed, and it is a really good likeness of Christian Bale. The armor is fitted over a cloth bodysuit, and the way in all fits together is perfect. You can take a magnifying glass to it and be hard pressed to find anything wrong or out of place, plus, it is really fun to play with. It is really easy to pop Batman’s head off, and then pull his face (or, really, his mouth) off and replace it with a different, angrier face. You can also cram a tool up his neck to change the direction his eyes are looking. That part is very fun, and really adds to the range of expressions for the figure. The hands are just as easy. There are a variety of tools and weapons that Batman can hold, and you need different hands to fit each of them. There are six hands total. They fit on snuggly enough that you’ll feel a teeny bit queasy the first time you pull one off, but once you get over that, they are a breeze to use.

Eventually, you’ll move on and get to the Armory itself. The level of detail on the case is incredible. It is all hand-painted, and the subtle wear and tear on the handles and hinges is OCD-like. The tools and weapons are packed in three separate cases — one for the things that hang in the back go the armory, one for the batarangs and such that fit into the rotating shelves, and one that holds various tools and larger weapons that hang on the inside of the doors. The batarangs especially are set very deeply in their packaging, and it looks like a chore to remove them, but the set comes with a small plastic lever to use to pry them out. It is surprisingly satisfying to pop them out. The way they are packaged corresponds directly with their placement in the Armory, so there is no puzzlework to figure out where things go. Be sure to play with the remote control for the lights in the Armory.

The one real flaw with the Batman figure, and really, with the whole set, is the utility belt. It comes with three, one on the figure itself, and two in the armory. You might need the extras. They are very delicate. The belt on the figurine is wrapped in protective foam and plastic, and you have to remove it to remove the packaging. There is a warning not to attempt it before you read the instructions, but mine broke with very little handling. A second broke in the exact same spot when I was trying to put it on. The problem is that the belt buckle is weakly glued to the belt, making it very delicate, but the clasps (located on a different part of the belt) require quite a bit of force to fasten or unfasten when they are wrapped around the figure. A magnetic closure on the belt would have been better. Of course, because everything is hand assembled, your belt may be better glued than mine was. Also, any issues with small breakages are covered by Sideshow's return/exchange policy. They are replacing my belts, and even with the belt problems, I still think this set is amazing.

It’ll probably take you about an hour to put everything in its place and then play around with exactly which hand/tool/mouth combination you want to pose him in for your display. (There is also an extra empty cowl so that you can pop the boots off and hang the empty suit in the armory.) And I hope that you will display this. I know different kinds of collectors — some who never ever ever open the box, some who set it up for display and then never touch it again, and some who full on play with their toys. This set is for the last two groups. You could buy this, keep the box sealed for a few years, and then sell it to someone else, but what’s the point? The craftsmanship and detailing are too good to never be seen, and the different hands and faces are too much fun to never touch. Leave it for those of us who want to actually look at it sometimes.

The Hot Toys Sixth Scale Figure Batman Armory with Batman is $384.99 and is currently waitlisted, but The Batman Armory with Alfred Pennyworth is available for pre-order for $524.99.

If you want to see more high quality, professional photos of the set, click here. If you would like to see what the set looks like in my poorly lit dining room, I've included several photos below.

This is what you pull out of the box. There is still so much packaging to tear through.
This is the armory straight out of the box. All the weapons are still inside.
These are the tools that hang in the back of the armory.
These are the batarangs and sticky bombs and whatnot that go in the shelves.
And here they are in their proper places. You'll notice they directly correspond to how they were packaged
And this nifty tool is how you get them from the packaging to the shelves. (That's GT editor Free Reyes as the hand model.)
 This is Batman's default face.
These are his other faces. None of them are smiles.
Look! New face! New angry, angry face.
 He looks to the left...
and now he looks straight ahead.
All kitted out with my favorite face on
The empty batsuit hanging in a still incomplete armory.

The prank was awesomely successful, and their buddy was scared shitless. Just wait until you see his reaction… It's priceless.

My brothers and did this kind of stuff to each other all the time while we were growing up, and even now as adults we still come up with pranks to scare the hell out of each other. The one that these guys pulled off has definitely set the bar. Enjoy!

GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot Gets THE HEAT Screenwriter - All Female Cast Confirmed

This third Ghostbusters movie is still moving forward very slowly. Bridesmaids director Paul Feig is currently attached to direct the movie, and he has hired his co-writer from The HeatKatie Dippold, to work on the script for his Ghostbusters film, which is now apparently being called a reboot. In case you forgot The Heat is the action-comedy that starred Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy, I didn't care for that movie at all, but there are some people that found it funny.

There was a previous rumor that the new Ghostbusters would revolve around a female team and it would no longer be connected to the earlier movies. Instead it will start a whole new story which is absolutely ridiculous. I hate that Ghostbusters could fall victim to a reboot/remake. I'd be fine with a third movie, but rebooting the whole franchise just makes me sad. Ghostbusters is one of those movies that should never ever be put in that situation.

Dan Aykroyd shut the rumor of the all female cast down though, saying that it wouldn't happen until a third or forth film in a Marvel-style connected universe that he is looking to create for the franchise. But then you have Feig hire this writer, and all of a sudden I'm thinking that maybe they are going to try and move forward with a female-led cast.

At this point anything can happen with this movie, whatever it ends up being all I can hope for is that it will have the same spirit, humor and awesomeness as the original. I know it's a lot to ask for, but a guy can dream.

Updated with tweet from the director confirming everything:

"It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call."

The first trailer for Playstation's new TV series Powers is set to premiere this weekend at New York Comic Con, and I imagine it will be released online around the same time. While we wait for the trailer, a poster has been released for the superpower crime drama, and it gives us a dark and gritty vibe.

Sharlto Copley and Susan Heyward star in the series as Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, two cops that specialize in cases involving people with superhuman abilities. Powers is based on a comic book written by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming, and the poster pays tribute to that source material. Here's a description of the series.

In a nutshell, “Powers” is an edgy dramatic series that follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as Powers. Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, “Powers” asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals? Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace with these over-paid, commercialized, god-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them.

Powers is set to premiere in December with 10 episodes, and it also stars Eddie IzzardNoah TaylorOlesya RulinMax Fowler, and Adam Godley. This sounds like it could be an awesome show.

8 GHOST RIDER Comic Covers

Ghost Rider was never a comic book character I got into, and his movies were not that amazing. But I've always liked his design. A flaming head, leather jacket, chains, going at breakneck speed on a motorcycle looks, to steal a term from GeekTyrant editor Joey Paur, "Epically Badass."

These covers by Arthur Suydam are weighted a bit to the bottom to leave room for the header text and logo. Now that Marvel has the rights to Ghost Rider back, I wonder what, if anything, they will do to bring him to the big screen.

New Clip and Featurettes for THE BOOK OF LIFE

$

The Guillermo del Toro-produced, Jorge Gutierrez-directed The Book of Life looks really charming. If you don’t believe me, you can watch a clip from the movie as well as a couple of character featurettes. The first featurette is called “Heart of a Hero” and focuses on Manolo, the main character, who is voiced by Diego Luna. Luna is himself very charming. By the time he says, “His only strength is love,” you’re going to be ready to kiss him. I don’t know what Maria’s deal is. But Zoe Saldana, who voiced Maria, can explain in the second featurette, titled “Damsel Not in Distress.” Maria seems like exactly the kind of character Saldana loves to play — tough and challenging, but surprisingly soft-hearted.

The clip is called “Land of the Remembered” and features Manolo’s entrance into, well, the land of the remembered. It seems like a nice place, but I’d rather not visit.

The Book of Life also stars Channing Tatum, and it opens on October 17 (USA). I am hoping I can talk my toddler into seeing it (he chickened out of The Boxtrolls), or I might have to get a babysitter.

From producer Guillermo del Toro and director Jorge Gutierrez comes an animated comedy with a unique visual style. THE BOOK OF LIFE is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears. Rich with a fresh take on pop music favorites, THE BOOK OF LIFE encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.

Some original storyboard art has surfaced from George Lucas' original Star Wars movie. The art features some iconic scenes that fans of the films will easily recognize. We also have a photo of a signed early edition of the script, which was originally titled, The Adventures of Luke Starkiller as taken from the 'Journal of the Whills.' This incredibly awesome collection of Star Wars history is currently up for auction, and if you want to get a piece of the action on October 17th through Profiles in History, it's probably not going to be cheap. Every time I come across something like this I am so happy that these movies exist. There was a chance than none of this could have ever happened, and I just can't imagine a world without Star Wars. One of my favorite illustrations in the set is one by concept artist Joe Johnston of Lucas "manning camera" in a scene from The Empire Strikes Back

Paul Feig Discusses His All-Female GHOSTBUSTERS Reboot

$

paul-feig-discusses-his-all-female-ghostbusters-reboot

Yesterday director Paul Feig confirmed that he is officially attached to direct a Ghostbusters reboot that would feature an all-female cast. A third Ghostbusters movie has been in the works for a hell of a long time, and I never imagined that it would end up being a complete reboot. I hate the fact that this is the road that the franchise is going down. As a gigantic fan of the original movie, I just wanted to see the old gang back together again, but that's impossible at this point, and now the original cast and characters don't even matter to the franchise. It's a sad thought.

Feig is known for directing female-led comedies such as Bridesmaids, which was great and The Heat, which wasn't so great. He recently talked to Entertainment Weekly about the Ghostbusters movie, and maybe he can talk you into thinking this is a good idea. Here's how he says the deal all came together,

"I had been contacted by Sony and Ivan a number of months ago when I was in Budapest shooting my new movie Spy. But I was like, I don’t know if I want to take that on because the first two are such classics and just because of how do you do it? Who do you bring in now that Harold’s gone? I know that Bill didn’t want to do it and I love Dan, but it was just like I don’t know how to do it. Then I had lunch with [Sony Pictures co-chairman] Amy Pascal when I got back to town. She was just saying, gosh, nobody wants to do this. I said, yeah, it’s really hard to take that on, especially since it’s 25 years later. how do you come back into a world that’s had these ghosts and all this? It just felt too difficult. How do you do it and not screw it up? But then it was bugging me for the next few days because Ghostbusters is such a great thing and everybody knows it, and it’s such a great world. It’s a shame to just let this thing sit there. I want to see another one. My favorite thing to do is work with funny women. I was like, what if it was an all female cast? If they were all women? Suddenly, my mind kind of exploded: that would be really fun. And then I thought, well, what if we just make it new? It’s not coming into the world that existed before. It’s always hard if the world has gone through this big ghost attack, how do you do it again? I wanted to come into our world where there’s talk of ghosts but they’re not really credible, and so what would happen in our world if this happened today?"

He goes on to explain why he wanted to reboot the franchise saying.

"I love origin stories. That’s my favorite thing. I love the first one so much I don’t want to do anything to ruin the memory of that. So it just felt like, let’s just restart it because then we can have new dynamics. I want the technology to be even cooler. I want it to be really scary, and I want it to happen in our world today that hasn’t gone through it so it’s like, oh my God what’s going on?"

I don't know, it seems to me like rebooting the franchise is kind of ruining the memory of the original. It's the same feeling I'd have if someone came along to reboot The Goonies — it just seems insulting. EW then asked if he's "freed from having to have one person who’s the Venkman and so forth," or if he feels like he might "adhere to some of those familiar dynamics?" He replied,

"We want to have fun with giving nods to what came before, but we don’t want to be bound by it because Katie and I already have talked at length and we have really fun ideas for things. But we want to tell the stories that we would like to tell, which means we want to tell the character arcs that we want to tell, which means we want to start with some of our characters in a different place or with different personalities and things they have to overcome and learn through the experience of this first movie. My number one thing is always about character and what is somebody learning from or transforming through whatever happens to them in the movie. So I think there will be definitely room to play with that. We want to do clever nods to it, but not cloying nods to it. We want to have the ability to really bring it into modern day."

At one point after the all-female cast aspect of the movie leaked out on the internet, Bill Murray was asked what his suggestions for the cast would be, and he mentioned Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Linda Cardellini, and Emma Stone. When Feig was asked about his opinion on Murray's dream cast he said,

"It’s an awesome cast. For me there’s so many ways I can go with this because there are so many funny women that’s going to be the hardest thing to narrow down is who to put in. I’ve got a lot of ideas on that but nobody set in stone. That’s part of the fun for me is figuring out what’s the best combo, what’s going to be relevant and fun. Bottom line: I just want the best, funniest cast."

He then revealed that they have a rough outline and basic story for the characters that will be introduced in the story.

"We have a very rough, rough outline that we’re working with, but definitely know the basic story, know what we want the basic characters to do, know what we want the world to do and what the rules of our world are, but nothing I want to discuss obviously. It’s cool. I think it’s a really strong origin story that feels real—as real as a ghost story is. It’s going to be really fun and real. We’ll make it scary and funny."

The director was also asked about a piece that was run on Deadline with the headline “Do We Want An Estrogen-Powered ‘Ghostbusters?’" This is what his reaction to that was:

"I just don’t understand why it’s ever an issue anymore. I’ve promoted both Bridesmaids and The Heat and myself and my cast are still hit constantly with the question, 'will this answer the question of whether women can be funny?' I really cannot believe we’re still having this conversation. Some people accused it of kind of being a gimmick and it’s like, it would be a gimmick if I wasn’t somebody whose brain doesn’t automatically go to like, I want to just do more stuff with women. I just find funny women so great. For me it’s just more of a no-brainer. I just go, what would make me excited to do it? I go: four female Ghostbusters to me is really fun. I want to see that dynamic. I want to see that energy and that type of comedy and them going up against these ghosts and going up against human detractors and rivals and that kind of thing. When people accuse it of being a gimmick I go, why is a movie starring women considered a gimmick and a movie starring men is just a normal movie?"

To make things clear, I could care less about the movie having an all female cast, my issue with this is obviously the fact that a classic movie is being rebooted. You can still have a female cast and include some of the old gang. But that's not happening. Basically, what I see happening here is a movie that just wants to have the Ghostbusters brand name, but not have it really be a Ghostbusters movie. Feig goes on to reveal that he would be open to bringing back original cast members, but that they would have to be in different roles, which in my opinion is bullcrap.

"Well, I mean, look, those are my comedy heroes. So as far as I’m concerned, anybody wants to come back I welcome with open arms. It would just be in different roles now, but it would be fun to figure out how to do that."

Look, It's going to be really hard for me to come to terms with this project because of how attached I am to the original film. I grew up with that movie. It's one of those movies that played a big part in my life and inspired me to want to be a filmmaker. Forgive me for being so negative, but that's where I'm coming from. Maybe over time I'll warm up to the idea and my opinion will change, but this is how I feel about it right now.

The director tries to console the fans of the original in the conclusion of the interview by saying,

"Look, if you go into any project without nerves you’re going to to make a bad project. If you walk into a project going, I’m going to f–king ace this, then expect the worst. At the end of the day, all we want to make is a great movie and people are going to attach a lot of energy to either being nervous about this or being excited about it, and all Katie and I and the rest of the team, who we slowly assemble, can do is just make a great movie that’s super funny, that’s scary, that’s real, that has great characters that people identify with and want to see in these situations. It’s a world that they’ve experienced before in the old ones, but the hope is the minute they sit down they’ll go, 'I love the old one, oh my god, I’m loving this new one.' Everything’s got to live on it’s own merits. It would be terrible if we just go, oh we’re just doing an update where we use the same dynamic and scripts. If we just flop four women into the exact same personalities and roles as original, then that’s lazy filmmaking on my behalf, and who wants to see that? I don’t want to do a shot by shot update of a movie that existed. It’s the difficult thing about remaking a great movie. So that’s why we’re not remaking a great movie. We’re doing our take on it."

"Fed up with the poor state of current horror films and how CGI has taken over to tried and true tradition of prop making is Raimi, Sam Raimi...And this time he means business. Looks Like TERMINATOR: GENISYS Will Get a PG-13 Rating

Hollywood sure does love their PG-13 movies, and it looks like the latest addition to the Terminator franchise is going that route as well. McG's Terminator: Salvation was PG-13, but that sure didn't help make it a better movie. Terminator: Genisys is the start of a whole new trilogy for Paramount Pictures, and I was really hoping they would capture the spirit of the original film and take the R-rated road.

The actor who plays Kyle Reese in the film, Jai Courtney, recently talked about the movie in an interview with The Huffington Post.

"What I can say is that we start in a place we're familiar with from the early films and then, you know, circumstances change. It somewhat shifts the course of events from that point. It's not necessarily a sequel or a reboot. I don't even know how you brand it correctly. We're not remaking one of the early 'Terminator' movies. And it doesn't necessarily carry on from the point where we left off."

The in separate interview with The Arnold Fans, Courtney was asked about the rating of the movie, and if he thought it would be rated R. This was his reply,

"I would love to see it be rated R, but I don't think it will. I think in this day & age, it's much more likely to be PG-13. There were no f-bombs. But there'll be a healthy amount of movie violence."

It's kind of sad to think that we live in a world where studios are scared to make an R-rated Terminator movie. The actor was also asked about shooting the sequels that will follow Terminator: Genisys, and whether Arnold Schwarzenegger would return to those as well. To that he said,

"Hard to imagine a Terminator film without Arnold. I guess we start filming - I think the plan is do the next 2 back to back in 2016."

Courtney is also joined by Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, J.K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Byung Hun Lee, and Matt Smith in the film. It was directed by Thor: The Dark World‘s Alan Taylor from a screenplay by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. The movie is set to hit theaters on July 1st, 2015.

Disney's Frozen is the biggest and most successful animated film that the studio has released. It was a great story with unforgettable characters, and CineFix has brought it all together for one of their entertaining animated "8-bit Cinema" episodes. There are already a few Frozen video games out there already, but nothing that looks quite like this. It's too bad that we don't see games made in this style anymore.

The last time I was in an arcade was four years ago, and it was a  Dave and Buster's in Anaheim, California. I only played flight, giant gun, and racing arcade games. I chose those because they offered an experience I couldn't get at home on consoles. Star Wars Battle Pod is definitely something that needs to be experienced.

Star Wars Battle Pod features:

  • Arcade-exclusive gameplay on a unique dome screen enveloping your entire area of sight which enables “the player to be surrounded by gameplay images and experiences on the dome screen”
  • Expected to launch in the US in January 2015 “ in participating arcades around the country” with a global launch to follow
  • Five stages that “recreate the fiercest battle scenes from the original Star Wars trilogy.” Players will take command of the vehicles that appear in the films such as X-wings, snowspeeders, speederbikes, the Millennium Falcon and TIE Advanced.
  • Loaded with features and unique gameplay elements, players can “experience the impact of the explosions and destruction that will leave them with a sense of actually piloting and taking part in action-packed scenes from the films.”
  • Star Wars: Battle Pod offers a real sense of flight combat action and delivers an authentic flying experience as if players are actually sitting in the cockpit of a battle pod in the Star Wars universe.
  • Players can jump right in to true-to-film battles on Endor, Hoth, Death Star II, Yavin, and more

The game will be available worldwide at an arcade near you. If you are near New York City, check it out the Dave and Buster's in Times Square. I can't even imagine how the long the wait for the line would be, as that is a popular location.
