The shit hits the fan in every season of Sons of Anarchy, and season 6 looks like it's going to be the shittiest! I mean that in a good way. If you haven't jumped on board this series yet, I suggest you give it a go. It really is a fun and entertaining show.

"Sons of Anarchy" is an adrenalized drama with darkly comedic undertones that explores a notorious outlaw motorcycle club’s (MC) desire to protect its livelihood while ensuring that their simple, sheltered town of Charming, California remains exactly that, charming. The MC must confront threats from drug dealers, corporate developers, and overzealous law officers. Behind the MC’s familial lifestyle and legally thriving automotive shop is a ruthless and illegal arms business driven by the seduction of money, power, and blood.
Jackson ‘Jax’ Teller (Charlie Hunnam) is SAMCRO’s new President who must face the consequences of the MC’s illicit deeds before they tear the club apart. Gemma Teller-Morrow (Katey Sagal) is Jax’s formidable mother. Clarence ‘Clay’ Morrow (Ron Perlman) is Jax’s stepfather, the last of the Original Nine and former President. Dr. Tara Knowles (Maggie Siff) is Jax’s old lady and mother of his second son.
Having framed Clay for the murder of Damon Pope, Season Six begins with Jax’s leadership uncontested, but his family life suffering from his single-minded pursuit of John Teller’s vision. Jax must find a way to keep Tara from going to prison for conspiracy to commit murder while rebuilding his club and breaking from the cycle of violence and greed that ultimately led to his best friend’s death.

The series returns on September 10th with a 90-minute first episode! Now check out the trailer to see what's in store for these characters in season 6!

Check out this artistic recreation of one of the most memorable scenes in geek movie history, "The Shadow Flame/Glamdring." The artist, Mark Lone, really has my respect for the style used here. The amount of fire detail on the Balrog is impressive, and the billowing back of Gandalf's robes makes the scene seem as intense as it was in the film. Check out his artwork for other great geek illustrations!

Master swordsmith Tony Swatton is back with a new episode of Man at Arms! This is an awesome series in which a modern day blacksmith creates some of our favorite weapons from video games, movies, and television. This week, he forges Link's Master Sword from Legend of Zelda!

I would love to go to this guy's shop and watch him build one of these swords in person. It looks like a place where manly men gather to tear phone books in half, dispense wisdom, and share thrilling tales of ancient wars fought in time past.

THE CONJURING 2 - Possible Creepy Story Info!

The Conjuring is easily one of the scariest movies I've ever seen! I absolutely loved it, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they end up doing with the sequel.  The studio has already said that they want to turn this into a horror movie franchise, each sequel focusing on a different supernatural case that the Warrens worked on. One of the cases they worked on was the Amityville house, but that movie has been done to death, so I never thought that would be the next film.

According to AICN the next film might focus on two sisters who were possessed. Here's the information they offer:

"The case file they’re looking at occurs in the late ’70s and centers on two sisters in Enfield, England, who were allegedly possessed. Warren said she personally saw them levitate and even saw one of the sister dematerialize in front of her only to be found 20 minutes later stuffed into an over sized fuse box, contorted in such an unnatural way that they couldn’t have replicated it if they tried. She also said that the demon spoke directly to her husband on many occasions. Warren cited this case as one of the most terrifying experiences of her career.”

It would be great if this was the story they went with, because it sounds like it would make another terrifying horror movie. Especially with the imagery described above! What do you think about this being the plot of the sequel?

Hot Toys is showing off another one of their crazy cool Iron Man 3 action figures! This one is of Tony Stark's Mark XXI, a.k.a. Midas armor. Yes, it's gold. I don't remember seeing this in the movie, but it sure makes for a really cool-looking collectible! Here are the details:

As seen in Marvel's Iron Man 3, Aldrich Killian and his Extremis soldiers are no weaklings and Tony Stark needs to take them on with his legion of new suits to avenge for his dearest friend and rescue his girlfriend.
The 1/6th scale Midas (Mark XXI) Collectible Figure features multitude layers and shades of metallic gold color painted by Hot Toys’ Korean Chief Painter & Production Director JC. Hong and Painting Specialist Woong Young Lee giving the collectible figure a brilliant finish with unrivaled aesthetics and quality.

Check out the photos and let us know if you want one! Not that we can get one for you, because if Hot Toys did send us one, I think I might be selfish enough to keep it for myself.

Who else is excited to see a group of young people hunting and killing each other in horrific ways?! Here's a new photo from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire featuring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss sitting in a very uncomfortable looking metal chair.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

The movie comes out on November 22nd!

Ang Lee Set to Direct 3D Boxing Legend Film

Life of Pi director Ang Lee has signed on to direct a new 3D boxing film. The movie is described as giving us an "epic look at the boxing world of the 1960s and 1970s, as seen through the prism of its biggest rivalries and greatest fights. That will include the showdown between Joe Frazier and Muhammad Ali that was called the Thrilla In Manila." The film will also focus on other boxers from the era, such as George Foreman, Marvin Hagler, Tommy Hearns, Robert Duran, and Sugar Ray Leonard.

This could be an amazing film! I enjoy watching Boxing, and I love the history of the sport. All of these boxers are badass legends, and I'm excited to see them brought to life in this movie.

Lee is a great director, and I'm curious to see how he ends up using the 3D in the film, because that could end up looking great, especially inside the ring while the fights are going on. Hopefully he does some cool stuff with it.

The movie is set up at Universal Pictures and the script will be written by Peter Morgan.

NOW YOU SEE ME Sequel in Development

The magician heist film Now You See Me was ridiculously great! Yeah, it was a silly movie, but it entertained me. It had a great concept, and I'm happy to report that Lionsgate is developing a sequel! The studio is looking to release it sometime in 2014.

The first movie starred Mark Ruffalo, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco, and Woody Harrelson. It followed a group of talented magicians who get involved with a bank robbery and several other heists and cons.

As a fan of the first film, I'm really excited to see where they take the sequel. I hope they bring all the same actors back and continue their story. I'd like to see what kind of world they enter after having passed through all of those tests and trials.

Did you like the movie and are you looking forward to the sequel?

Even on a seriously dark show like Breaking Bad, the cast and crew still can't help but bust out laughing in the middle of a scene or have some fun on the set. I'd think you have to do that on a show like this to stay sane. Bryan Cranston actually comes off as a fun prankster. Just watch the video... you'll see.

Breaking Bad returns August 11 on AMC , and we have eight more episodes to go before it comes to an end!

Disney has released three new promo posters for their upcoming Marvel crossover episode, Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel. The episode looks like it will be entertaining, and I'm sure it will be very successful as well, which means you can expect to see even more Marvel and Disney crossovers in the near future. They've already announced a Phineas and Ferb Star Wars episode.

In Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor and Hulk stand powerless after being struck by Dr. Doofenshmirtz's power-draining "inator." Once the Marvel Super Villains – Red Skull, Whiplash, Venom and M.O.D.O.K. – find out that Dr. Doofenshmirtz is responsible for robbing the Super Heroes of their powers, they seek him out and together create mayhem in Danville. Meanwhile, Phineas and Ferb do everything they can to restore the Super Heroes' powers before the evil villains take over the world.

The episode premieres on August 16th (8 p.m. ET/PT) on Disney Channel.

THE STAR WARS - Trailer for New Comic Based on Lucas' Original Vision

$

A few months ago we learned that the original script for George Lucas' Star Wars was being adapted into a comic book. It was originally titled The Star Wars, and it was very, very different than what ended up on the big screen. Today, we've got a trailer for it to show you!

This one tells the story of a young Jedi named Annikin Starkiller, an experienced General named Luke Skywalker, an alien version of Han Solo, and some evil Sith Knights. Oh! and Lightsabers were called Laser Swords. According to the comic writer J.W. Rinzler,

"You can teach a college course on how he got from that story to his first Star Wars film. Francis Ford Coppola read the rough draft and thought it was pretty good. He wasn't really sure why George was changing it."

It looks and sounds like it will be a great comic book. Who knows, maybe one day Disney and Lucasfilm will actually bring this version of Star Wars to the big screen!

The eight-issue comic launches on September 4th.

Thanks to USA Today for the trailer. Click the link to read more about the story!

Dark Horse is honored to announce a dream project: working with J.W. Rinzler, executive editor at LucasBooks, and artist Mike Mayhew (Avengers) to adapt the rough-draft original screenplay which spawned the biggest franchise in film history!
Three years before his 1977 film, George Lucas put down on paper his first story set in a galaxy far, far away—a tale of fantastic adventures, daring escapes, “lazer swords,” romance, and monsters. A story of Jedi Annikin Starkiller and General Luke Skywalker, an alien named Han Solo, and evil Sith Knights. The screenplay was titled The Star Wars!
“I’m not sure where I first read about The Star Wars—it was years and years ago—but the idea of Luke Skywalker being an older Jedi General, and Han Solo being a six-foot-tall lizard, turned my Star Wars fan brain on its side,” said longtime Star Wars editor Randy Stradley. “I always assumed this would be one of those stories that would be ‘lost to history,’ so getting to work on bringing it to life is kinda like a dream come true.”
“While researching in the Lucasfilm Archives I’ve found many treasures—but one which truly astounded me was George’s rough draft forThe Star Wars. His first complete imaginings were hallucinating to read—mind blowing,” said writer J.W. Rinzler. “While working with George on another book project, I once asked if we could adapt his rough draft. He was hesitant. Years later, with Dark Horse’s invaluable help, we showed him a few drawn and colored pages of what it might look like. He gave us the okay.”
Originally conceived in 1974, The Star Wars has been the subject of rumor and legend in the fan community throughout the history of the galaxy far, far away. Now, Lucas has seen fit to grant Dark Horse the right to adapt this fabled story into an eight-issue comic series launching in September!

A few weeks ago I came across a couple of really cool photos of Scooby Doo Velma and Daphne cosplayers in a dark and gritty apocalyptic setting. What I didn't know until today is that there's a whole set of cosplayers that came together to bring us this epic Walking Dead-style Scooby Doo universe! So on top of Velma and Daphne, we have Shaggy, Fred, Scooby, and a bunch of zombies!

The photos were taken by Jeff Zoet. And the models used are Daphne - Claire Werkiser, Fred - Matt Diamond, Shaggy - Roger Kean, Velma - Ashley DeCarolis, and Scooby Doo - Faith the Great Dane.
