First GHOSTBUSTERS Trailer Has Been Unleashed and It's Actually Pretty Great

Ever since it we learned that there was going to be a new Ghostbusters reboot directed by Paul Feig, I haven't really been on board with it. I didn't want to see one of my favorite movies of all time get a crappy remake. Well, the first trailer for Feig's Ghostbusters reboot has been released, and I have to say that it looks a helluva lot better than I expected. Now I can say that I'm seriously excited to see the movie! This is something that I never thought I'd say, but watch the trailer for yourself and see what this movie has to offer. It looks like it has some solid comedy, some fun action, and the way they are bringing the ghosts to life is pretty cool. Also, the trailer makes this movie feel more like a sequel than a reboot.

Thirty years after the original film took the world by storm, Ghostbusters is back and fully rebooted for a new generation. Director Paul Feig combines all the paranormal fighting elements that made the original franchise so beloved with a cast of new characters, played by the funniest actors working today. Get ready to watch them save the world this summer!

The movie stars Melissa McCarthy as Abby Yates, Kate McKinnon as Jillian Holtzman, Kristen Wiig as Erin Gilbert, Leslie Jones as Patty Tolan, and Chris Hemsworth as their secretary. All of the original surviving Ghostbusters are confirmed to have cameos in the film as well. Ghostbusters will hit theaters nationwide on July 15th.

25 of the Most Ridiculous Toys Ever Conceived

Here’s a video breakdown of the 25 most ridiculous toys that have ever been made. The list comes from the YouTube channel list25, and there are a few toys mentioned in it that I have never heard of before. Some of these toys are insanely absurd! I don’t know why kids would have ever wanted to play with some of these things like the toy Airport Scanner, a children’s ATM machine, and a shavable hairy baby?! These are just a few of the many toys in this list that will leave you scratching your head in confusion over why they ever existed.

"Black Phillip" Hospitalized Ralph Inerson on the Set of THE WITCH

Turns out Black Phillip wasn't just a terror on camera! THR reports that The Witch mascot, who is actually named Charlie, was by far the most difficult actor to deal with on the set of the film. When he was needed to attack he slept, when he needed to sleep he attacked! A lot of this comes from the fact that Charlie was not a trained goat, so he just basically did goat stuff the entirety of filming. Since he wasn't trained, a lot of the footage you saw was typically on the fly and in the moment. It seems to have worked out well, as the character has become the official icon of the franchise!

One person who is not happy about this is actor Ralph Inerson (he plays the father), who was hospitalized by the goat! From Inerson...

"He was horrible. Really, really horrible. From the moment we set eyes on each other it was just kind of hate at first sight. He had two modes: chilling out and doing nothing, or attacking me."

On the fourth day of filming Inerson was blindsided by the goat during a scene (no spoilers but if you've seen the film you'll probably guess which) and was rammed so hard in the ribs it separated his tendon! Inerson went to the hospital and was on painkillers the next five weeks of filming.

Pretty awesome story! I mean, sad for Inerson, but he shouldn't complain. The Witch will be making money well past the healing time it took for his rib!

A SUICIDE SQUAD Sequel Is Already Being Planned at Warner Bros.

Buried in a recent report from The Wrap is word that Warner Bros. is already planning a Suicide Squad sequel that they plan on releasing in 2017.

The site reports that there's a new Will Smith and Joel Edgerton police thriller called Bright that will be directed by David Ayer, and that both Ayer and Smith are slipping this movie into their schedules before the planned sequel to the DC super villain film Suicide Squad

I absolutely love what I've seen from the upcoming film. It looks awesome, and I have a feeling it's going to do very well. Hell, I'm more excited about this movie than I am for Batman v Superman.

Even though I haven't seen the first film yet, I was hoping that this wouldn't be the only film involving these characters. The Suicide Squad is just such a fun and colorful group of villainous characters, and it'd be a shame if they didn't tell more than one story, so it's awesome to hear that there are plans in place to keep it going.

Ayer will be back to direct the movie, and I imagine the majority of the cast will be back to reprise their roles as well.

David Hasselhoff Joins Dwayne Johnson in the New BAYWATCH Movie!

Let's face it, Baywatch wouldn't really be Baywatch without David Hasselhoff. Well, Dwayne Johnson revealed on his Facebook page that The Hoff will be joining him in the movie that he's currently shooting with Zack Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Priyanka Chopra, and Hannibal Buress.

Hasselhoff played L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the Baywatch series, which he also produced from the 1990s until 2001. The last time we saw the actor in the role of Mitch was when the series ended with Baywatch Hawaii.

Johnson released a video that you can below of himself talking to Hasselhoff as they reveal the news. That video came with the following note:

"I WAS BORN READY!" Pleasure to officially welcome the original ‪#‎BAYWATCH‬ gangsta himself David Hasselhoff to our movie! #BAYWATCH is the most successful TV show of all time and from the day we announced we were turning it into a movie, "The Hoff" has been our greatest supporter. Especially once he knew our RATED R movie was going to be a combination of AVENGERS meets ANCHORMAN....
Hoff's a cool dude who's down to have fun and here's the best part.. He's been training his ass off and gotten in the best shape he's been in in years! (cue slo-mo running and glistening chest hair.. wait, why the f*ck am I even thinking about Hoff's chest hair!?) World get ready..‪#‎RockAndHoff‬ ‪#‎ThereAintNoBay‬ ‪#‎WithoutTheHoff‬

I think it's great that they wanted to include Hasselhoff in the movie. There's no word on if he will be reprising his role from the series, or how big of a part he'll play in the story, but I hope it's more than just a cameo.

GHOSTBUSTERS Movie Featurette Focuses on the Science of Busting Ghosts

Earlier today the first trailer for the new Ghostbusters film was released, and it was met with a lot of mixed reaction from fans. This was a movie that I wasn't really excited about, but the trailer makes it look like it could be a fun flick. There are a lot of people who didn't like what they saw at all, though, and they are bashing the hell out of it. I personally think that it could have been worse.

Anyway, we now have a featurette for the film that puts a focus on the science behind busting ghosts. It comes from a viral site for the film called ParanormalStudieslab.com, and it features some additional photos of the Ghostbusters equipment, some schematics, and then there's a behind-the-scenes featurette. I've posted all of these things below for you to check out.

The movie comes out on July 15th.

Looks like season three of the sci-fi anthology series Black Mirror will premiere sometime this year on Netflix. Digital Spy is confirming the news, saying the series was previously slated with a "to be announced." For those who haven't seen the series, it's like if HBO did The Twilight Zone today with a heavier focus on technology!

The third season will have 12 episodes, which is refreshing as each season thus far has been three 90 minute episodes. Now all I'm waiting for is a trailer! Until then I guess I can re-binge the series so far on Netflix!

I remember reading a long time ago that Google would be awarding $30 million to the first private team who successfully manages to land on the moon, but didn't hear anything immediately after and lost interest like we do with most things. Now I'm back in, as J.J. Abrams is executive producing a documentary about the teams and their race to be the first in space! Moon Shot is directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Orlando von Einsiedel (Virunga) and features several individuals who all think they can win the thirty million dollar prize!

Here Are The STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Bonus Features For Its Home Video Release

Disney and Lucasfilm just sent me information about the upcoming home video release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and since we've all probably seen the movie multiple times by this point, I think the most interesting piece of info included in this announcement is the inclusion of the bonus features that will come with it. So let's get right to it:

  • Secrets of The Force Awakens: A Cinematic Journey – For the first time, discover the complete story behind the making of The Force Awakens, revealed through in-depth footage and exclusive interviews with the actors and filmmakers in this feature documentary
  • The Story Awakens: The Table Read – Cast members familiar and new reflect on the memorable day they all first came together to read the movie’s script
  • Building BB-8 – See how the filmmakers brought the newest droid to the screen, creating an instant fan favorite in the Star Wars
  • Crafting Creatures – Watch movie magic as the filmmakers bring a cast of new creatures to life
  • Blueprint of a Battle: The Snow Fight – Go deeper into the epic, climactic lightsaber battle between Rey and Kylo Ren
  • John Williams: The Seventh Symphony – The legendary composer shares personal insights of his work on Star Wars and The Force Awakens
  • ILM: The Visual Magic of The Force – An insider’s look into the remarkable digital artistry of the movie’s visual effects.
  • Force For Change – Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. See how the Star Wars: Force for Change initiative has united Star Wars fans all over the globe to help others
  • Plus Deleted Scenes

t's important to note that these bonus features will vary depending on which retailer you purchase the content from, so if you're excited about one in particular, make sure to look closely and confirm that the version you're about to buy has what you're looking for. Specific retailers will have different elements available, including:

  • TARGET – The Target Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray Combo Pack comes with exclusive packaging and an added 20 minutes of bonus content, including never-before-seen interviews with Daisy Ridley and John Boyega and a deeper look at the movie’s costumes and weaponry
  • WALMART – The Walmart Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray Combo Pack comes with exclusive BB-8 packaging and an exclusive Star Wars Galactic Connexions trading disc
  • BEST BUY – The Best Buy Star Wars: The Force Awakens Blu-ray Combo Pack features exclusive SteelBook Packaging

Even though I've been following this movie from the beginning and have already read a ton about it, I'm really looking forward to watching that making-of documentary "Secrets of The Force Awakens — A Cinematic Journey" to actually see it all play out instead of having to imagine what it was like.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be available on Digital HD and Disney Movies Anywhere starting April 1, and on Blu-ray Combo Pack/DVD on April 5.

Bob Odenkirk Actually Learned To Make Cinnabons For BETTER CALL SAUL

For a sequence that takes all of ten seconds in the series, I wouldn't have blamed Bob Odenkirk for faking knowing how to make Cinnabon cinnamon rolls. Cinnabon doesn't want their brand looking bad on television, however, so they had Odenkirk actually learn how to make their product TWICE on the set of Better Call Saul. Bob talked about the experience on Conan a couple nights ago, and it's really interesting!

I wonder if Bryan Cranston had to learn to wash a car for Breaking Bad...

BATMAN V SUPERMAN - Cool TV Spot, Photos, and The Flash & Cyborg Confirmed

We've got a few new things to share with you today about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. First, there's a new TV spot in which Batman eggs on Superman. Then there are three new photos — the most interesting of which includes Lex Luthor admiring a piece of kryptonite. And then finally, thanks to EW, we've learned that Ezra Miller's The Flash and Ray Fisher's Cyborg are confirmed to appear in the film. We've heard lots of talk about these characters being involved with the movie, but there's been no real concrete confirmation until now because EW's reporter has actually seen the film.

Batman v Superman is expected to bring in $140 million dollars on its opening weekend. Seeing Batman and Superman battle each other is something fans have been excited about seeing for years and now that it's actually going to happen there's no way in hell we're going to miss it! There was never any doubt that this movie wouldn't explode at the box office.

The movie is set to be released on March 25, and I'm expecting to be blown away.

Head Back To HELL'S CLUB With This Sequel To The Awesome Mashup

$

Remember that awesome Hell's Club mashup I wrote about six months ago? If you missed it, I highly recommend going back to check it out — it's a video set in a fictional bar called Hell's Club that is a nexus of sorts for movie characters, where they can interact away from the confines of things like logic and sensibility. It's a glorious concept, and now editor Antonio Maria De Silva is back with a sequel, called Hell's Club Part Two: Another Night.

The concept is the same, but this time, an army of xenomorphs forms up and attacks the club, leaving everyone to fend for themselves in an attempt to survive. It's over seventeen minutes long, but because of the fascinating, brilliant way it's edited and the fact that anything can happen at any time, I could easily sit back and watch a full length feature set in this world. What do you think?

Will Smith and Joel Edgerton to Star in Fantasy Cop Thriller BRIGHT From SUICIDE SQUAD Director

$

Joey already mentioned this briefly this morning in his write-up about a potential Suicide Squad sequel, but I think it's worth singling out into an article of its own. The Wrap reports that Suicide Squad director David Ayer is set to direct an original film called Bright that has Joel Edgerton and Squad actor Will Smith on board to star.

The script comes from Max Landis (Chronicle, American Ultra, Victor Frankenstein), and it takes place in a world in which fairies and orcs live alongside humans. It's a fantasy cop thriller, with one of the lead characters being an orc cop. Hopefully that role ends up going to Smith, because he's already played a handful of human cops and it'd be interesting to see him do something with a different twist to it.

The film is expected to have a "significant" budget, and though it's being shopped around to studios right now, there's a possibility it could end up at Warner Bros. (where Smith and Ayer just made Suicide Squad) when all is said and done. Landis is far from my favorite writer, but Ayer recently rewrote his script, so this project could easily go either way right now. We'll keep you in the loop.

Watch: GAME OF THRONES Meets Third Eye Blind in This Musical Jon Snow Parody

I know a lot of people scoff at Third Eye Blind and remember them as "one of those bands that had a few hits in the late '90s," but they're legitimately one of my favorite bands. I also love Game of Thrones, so this musical parody that recaps GOT through Jon Snow's perspective to the music of "Semi-Charmed Life" seems like it was made specifically for me.

Definitely don't watch this if you're not caught up on the show, because it contains massive spoilers through the end of the fifth season of the HBO series (as well as some NSFW language, if you're in a place where that matters).

Disney Boss: "We Have No Plans To Make R-Rated Marvel Movies"

$

With the success of the foul-mouthed Deadpool, many (including Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn) have wondered if Hollywood would learn the wrong lesson from the film and start green-lighting R-rated superhero movies left and right because it's the trendy new thing to do. But it sounds like Disney CEO Bob Iger isn't going to be influenced by the hottest, latest thing — he's perfectly content with the way things are going at Marvel Studios right now.

I know a lot of fans would probably like to see a darker, R-rated movie from Marvel Studios one day, but Iger appears to be content with that kind of material living on Netflix and the TV side of the equation and keeping the live-action movies PG-13 in order to keep a consistent tone with all of the MCU films (and obviously to insure the biggest possible audience and profits as well).

The theatrical cut of The Wolverine 3 and the Blu-ray release of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice are reportedly receiving R ratings, and as much as those studios might claim those decisions have nothing to do with the surprise breakout hit that Deadpool became, it's impossible to deny that the current Hollywood moviemaking model is largely built on seeing what other movies do and trying to recapture that success with a little tweak here and there. But Iger has made it pretty clear that fans shouldn't hold their breath about an R-rated Marvel Studios film while we wait to see if the R ratings actually pan out for those other movies.

Here's How STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON Could Have Won Big at The Oscars

$

Straight Outta Compton was one of the best movies about the creation of music I've ever seen, and along with Beasts of No Nation, the film was one of the poster children of the recent #OscarsSoWhite protest. Strong cases could be made that it should have been nominated for Best Picture and at least Best Supporting Actor for Jason Mitchell (Eazy-E), but that didn't happen. So Super Deluxe decided to recut a new trailer for the movie to show what it needed to be like in order for it to be a major Oscar contender (light spoilers and NSFW language ahead):

Yep, that'd pretty much do it.
