Rumored Details on Hulk's Involvement in CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR [SPOILERS]

$

Some new rumors have surfaced regarding the Hulk's return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and what sparks it, including his possible involvement with Captain America: Civil War. It has already been rumored that he could appear in the film, but there has been no confirmation of that. I hope it's true, because I'd love to see the character back in action. The end of Avengers: Age of Ultron left his fate up in the air, though.

Now we will move onto the possible SPOILERS. The following information came from MCU Exchange. Remember, these are only rumors for now, but rumors that are sure to start some fun fan discussion.

According to We Are Wakanda, a new and different Hulk will be appearing in the MCU soon, and as they recently had behind-the-scenes access to Captain America: Civil War, it's believed that a new Hulk will appear in that movie. A source at MCU Exchange corroborates this.

So who is this new Hulk they are talking about? Well, as you know William Hurt is going to reprise his role as General Thunderbolt Ross, and according to the report he will be transformed into the Red Hulk!

Additionally, the site goes on to say that this will drive Mark Ruffalo's Hulk out of hiding, and that there will be an epic battle between Bruce Banner and Red Hulk. Apparently that battle will rival the Hulk and Hulkbuster fight scene in Age of Ultron

It would be really cool if this ended up being the case. It's easy to imagine this could happen, but none of this intel has been confirmed. Do you all think it's plausible that Marvel will transform Ross into Red Hulk in Civil War? Is that something you'd like to see?

The gang at ScreenJunkies is back with a new episode of Honest Trailers, and this time they're looking at the HBO original series Entourage. Sort of like Entourage itself, you know what you're going to get when you watch one of these videos, so if you'd like to see the show being taken to task for its sexism, occasionally lazy plotlines, and consequences-free depiction of life in Los Angeles, then check it out below.

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT Season 5 Will Be Released in Mid-2016

Brian Grazer has another update about the return of the Bluth family. According to the mega-producer, the fifth season of the show will begin shooting early next year and be released about "four months" after that. Feel free to break into a chicken dance to show your excitement.

On the latest episode of Adam Carolla's podcast, Grazer said the following:

Well, I had a conversation with Fox today, this morning. Netflix is determined to do more episodes, so we’re gonna do more episodes. We’re going to do it [at] the turn of the year. January, February we’re gonna start it. […] Mitch Hurwitz, who I just called while I was sitting out there in your beautiful waiting room. […] I made the call to Mitch to say everybody’s into it.

We don't know anything about what will happen in the new episodes, although Grazer previously said we can expect 17 more in this new season. I wasn't a fan of the way the fourth season unfolded, and while I understand that it had to be shot in pieces like that due to all of the actors being incredibly busy these days, I wish Netflix would just pony up enough cash to make sure that everyone could be there at the same time to film all of their stuff together. The first three seasons are comedic masterworks, and it's kind of a bummer to think that a fifth season will have more in common with the fourth than any of the show's classic run.

Square Enix has revealed their Batman: Arkham Knight collectible action-figure and San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, and they are simply stunning. I've been enjoying the toys that this company has been releasing recently, and this is easily one of the best. The figure is described as follows:

Sideshow Collectibles and Square Enix are proud to present the Batman: Arkham Knight Collectible Figure that matches the beautiful and highly detailed game graphics. With a heavy emphasis on the fine details and sculpt, the result is a realistic impression of Bruce Wayne, in his iconic batsuit. Batman's suit features a metallic sheen paint application as well as weathering and scuffs that show the scars of his battles.
The Batman collectible figure features a realistic looking cape, interchangeable hands and weapons. Fans of Arkham Knight should not miss out on this collectible that shows off Batman's action poses at their best!

The San Diego Comic-Con exclusive is the same figure, but it highlights the fine details with metallic paintwork in bright blue and gold. It won't be released online until August 31st. Those not attending Comic-Con can still pre-order it at their online store

New JOE DIRT 2 Trailer Involves Time Travel For Some Reason

$

Here's the new trailer for Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser, which stars David Spade as the mullet-rockin' title character. And even though the last movie had no sci-fi elements to it that I can recall, this one appears to feature time travel for some reason. But even drastically switching genres doesn't look like it'll be able to save this turd of a movie. Check out the awful-looking trailer below, which makes me sad that Christopher Walken would stoop to this level.

The film hits Crackle on July 16th.

Spade returns as the mullet-wearing, rock and roll loving, down on his luck white-trash-hero who embarks on another epic journey, this time through the recent past, the heartland of America – and his own mind – to get back to his loved ones. Joe Dirt is back with a vengeance, and a mop.

Red-Band Trailer for TED 2 Channels STAR WARS

Another red-band trailer has been released for Seth MacFarlane's highly-anticipated sequel, Ted 2. This is the second red-band trailer we've seen for the film, and what I like about these trailers is that they don't hold back MacFarlane's comedy. They give you a true sense of what you can expect from the movie, and Ted 2 looks like it's going to be a hilarious sequel.

They have some fun with this trailer by starting it off by spoofing the trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, from there escalates into drug jokes, F-bombs, and ridiculous antics. MacFarlane is obviously trying to outdo the vulgarity and humor of the first movie, and from what I've seen, he might actually succeed in that.

The sequel stars Mark Wahlberg, Amanda Seyfried, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson and Dennis Haysbert. It will be released in theaters on June 26th.

TRANSFORMERS Writers' Room Adds Two Women To The Mix

Not long ago, word came out that Paramount had hired more writers for the Transformers franchise writers' room that's being overseen by Batman & Robin writer Akiva Goldsman. The production writers (read: uncredited) writers of Ant-Man were added to the team, bringing the membership to: Robert Kirkman (The Walking Dead), Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man), Jeff Pinkner (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Zak Penn (The Incredible Hulk), and Andrew Barrer & Gabriel Ferrari (Ant-Man). You may notice that all of those people are men, and that caused a bit of a stir last week.

Now Deadline says the studio has hired Christina Hodson and Lindsey Beer, two women, to join the braintrust. Hodson, a three-time Black List writer, is penning Warner Bros.' "new installment" of The Fugitive, while Beer studied neuroscience at Stanford and has a ton of still-unproduced screenplays that sound strong, including a family adventure at Disney called Dig and an R-rated genre comedy called How To Nail An Alien.

These women bring some much-needed perspective to a franchise that has historically treated ladies pretty poorly, but no amount of writing is going to stop Michael Bay from leering at women with his camera. The fifth Transformers film is being prepped for his return as he finishes 13 Hours, and there's been talk of a Bumblebee spin-off and an animated prequel as well, so prepare to be inundated with more robots in disguise over the next few years.

See Quentin Tarantino's Best Visual Homages in 3 Minute Video

Editor Jacob T. Swinney has produced videos about Quentin Tarantino before (see the director's bloodiest moments and a supercut of his driving shots), but this is my favorite video in his series so far. Tarantino is a well-known film junkie who has an encyclopedic knowledge of movies, and he's often accused of stealing other people's ideas and incorporating them into his own films. I don't think it's theft, I think the director is actually paying homage to the movies that have come before him, and this video shows his best visual homages play out side by side next to the films that inspired his shots.

Han Solo and Boba Fett May Clash in 2nd STAR WARS ANTHOLOGY Film

There's really no information on what the second Star Wars Anthology film will entail, but it has previously been rumored that it would focus on the origin of Boba Fett. Now some new information has come to light that fans will be interested in reading.

Schmoes Know adds more to previous rumors, reporting that Fett will have a conflict with legendary smuggler Han Solo in the story. These two characters will be the main focus of the movie, which will supposedly take place between Episodes III and IV. Other characters in the movie may include Lando Calrissian, Chewbacca, and Bossk.

According to the site, Disney "really wants to delve into the 'hive of scum and villainy' that Star Wars has been known for." Fantastic Four director Josh Trank was attached to direct this movie at one point, but that's no longer the case. The director's chair is currently open, and according to the site's inside source, both Jon Faverau and Matthew Vaughn have been circling the project.

Han Solo and Boba Fett are two of the most popular characters in the Star Wars universe, and it will be incredibly interesting to see them in the prime of their lives taking each other on. It's hard not to get excited about this news, because what fan wouldn't want to see this?!

As far as the possible directors go, I would be very happy to see either Favreau or Vaughn develop the project. I'm sure they'll both eventually get their shot at a Star Wars movie, but this one is going to be huge, if this turns out to be true.

This is just a rumor for now, but what do you think about the possibility of seeing some Han Solo and Boba Fett action in a Star Wars movie?

Clint Eastwood to Direct Film Based on Captain “Sully” Sullenberger

At 85 years old, Clint Eastwood shows no signs of slowing down as a film director, and he’s already starting work on his next project.

Warner Bros. is acquiring the rights to a biopic called Sully, which is based on the true story of American pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger, who is the man who landed a troubled aircraft full of passengers on the Hudson River.

The movie will be based on the book co-written by Sullenberg and Jeffrey Zaslow. According to Variety, the story takes “a closer look at the man who became a national hero after his plane began to malfunction shortly after takeoff and he was forced to take drastic measures in order to save all those on the plane.”

Producer Frank Marshall acquired the rights to the book a few years ago and has been developing it ever since. Eastwood was looking to direct a film based on the Boston Marathon bombing called Patriot’s Day for CBS Films, but when he came across this project, he didn’t hesitate to jump on board to tell a story about another American hero.

Eastwood’s last film was American Sniper, which I thought was fantastic. I’m a big fan of the director, and I’m sure he’ll do a great job bringing Sully;s story to the big screen.

Here’s the detailed description of the book called Highest Duty: My Search for What Really Matters:

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed one of the most remarkable emergency landings in aviation history when Captain Chesley "Sully" Sullenberger skillfully glided US Airways Flight 1549 onto the surface of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. His cool actions not only averted tragedy but made him a hero and an inspiration worldwide. To Sullenberger, a calm, steady pilot with forty years of flying experience who is also a safety consulting expert, the landing was not a miracle but rather the result of years of practice and training-wisdom he gained in the cockpit of U.S. Air Force jets and in his Texas boyhood.
Born to a World War II veteran and dentist father and an elementary school teacher mother, Sully fell in love with planes early. He learned to fly as an eager 16-year-old from a crop duster, an older neighbor in north Texas, who took off and landed his fragile plane on the grass field behind his house. While Sully′s father encouraged his interest in flying, he also imparted stern advice he′d learned from his Navy service during World War II: a commander is responsible for everyone in his care-and those words have shaped Sully′s life and work and continue to guide him today.
HIGHEST DUTY reveals the important lessons Sully learned through childhood, in his military service, and in his work as a commercial airline pilot. At heart, it is a story of hope and preparedness-that life′s challenges can be met if we′re ready for them-reminding us that, even in these days filled with war, tragedy, and economic uncertainty, there are values still worth fighting for.
A few weeks after the crash, Sully discovered that he′d lost a library book about professional ethics, Just Culture: Balancing Safety and Accountability, in the downed plane′s cargo hold. When he called the library to notify them, they waived the usual fees. Mayor Michael Bloomberg replaced the book when he gave Sully the Key to the City in a New York ceremony.

How AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Should Have Ended

I’m sure you’ve all been eagerly waiting for the gang over at How It Should Have Ended to release their alternate version of Avengers: Age of Ultron's ending. Well, the animated sketch is finally here, and it’s absolutely hilarious. In it, Ultron shuts down the internet, cable, and changes the passwords to the Avengers' phones, and from there things just spiral out of control! Ultron was a lot smarter in this sketch than he was in the movie.

What’s even better is that this is only the first of a multi-part episode! Here's a note that came along with the video:

That's right, Part One! Because we wrote too much material for this one, we decided to make multiple shorts rather than chop down and cram what we enjoyed into short 15 second bits. Avengers seemed fitting to try it out. Part 2 and Maaaaybe 3 will follow as they are completed.

You’re all going to enjoy this.

PRISON BREAK Is Also Getting a Limited Series at Fox

It looks like Prison Break is the next show to get a limited series. According to TV Line, Fox is developing a revival of the show that would bring back stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Durcell, who recently reunited for The Flash series on The CW. They are also set to star in Legends of Tomorrow for the network.

Prison Break isn’t a done deal yet, but if it happens, the network is looking to give it about a dozen episodes, just like last year’s 24: Live Another Day. It will also feature a closed-ended storyline. In a previous interview with E! News, Miller talked about planting the idea at Fox:

"We actually floated the idea to Fox very casually and they seemed very not casual about this interest. They seemed to think there was something there."

Well, Fox certainly seems to be seriously entertaining the idea, as they are currently in the process of developing it. I enjoyed the series when it was on the air, and I think it would be fun to resist. I have no idea where they would take the story for a limited-series, but I’m sure they’ll come up with something fun. Miller explains the potential of it:

"To go back and do something like we did at the end of season four, where there were those two standalone episodes were Sarah was in trouble; it was like a hidden chapter, we didn't know this, but we're going to share this with you, wouldn't it be cool to go back and layer one of those things in. Like another standalone chapter, this is what you didn't see before. Or a where are they now, it's five years later, limited series kind of thing. I think that'd be really cool."

I’m not as excited about the return of Prison Break as I am for The X-Files, but if Fox does end up making it, I’ll watch it. Are you up for a Prison Break revival?

James Gunn Finishes First Draft of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2

James Gunn announced last night that he has completed his first draft of Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and he posted an image of the script's title page on Facebook, which you can see below. It came along with this caption:

"Phew. After 48 days straight without a day off, the the first draft of ‪#‎GotG2‬ is done. I'm sorry to all my friends and family who I have ignored."

On Twitter the director posted the same image but included the hashtags #NoSpoilers #NotEventheTitle, so he leaves fans in suspense as he reveals that Guardians of the Galaxy 2 won't be the final title of the film.

We have no idea what the story for this highly anticipated sequel will entail, but I trust that Gunn is going to give fans another amazing movie. I would love to read that script! He previously talked about the film:

It’s not really based on anything. The story for Guardians 2 is an original story that I came up with that I started working on actually while I was shooting Guardians 1, and it’ll answer some of the questions that were put forth in the first movie about Peter Quill’s father and who he is and what’s going on with that. We’ll get to know some of the characters a little bit more and then we’re going to meet a couple of new characters who will be very important to Guardians movies and probably important to the Marvel Universe as a whole.

It’s different than what’s in the comic books. Peter Quill’s father is somebody different in the comics. So then when the movie came out, we got green-lit on the sequel right away. I went in and I sat down with those guys and I’m like, ‘Okay, here’s what I think the sequel should be.’ And they were like, ‘Oh, whoa. That’s risky, but okay.’ Now I’m going to turn over the story in a few short weeks and we’ll find out how well it works.

Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel will all come back to reprise their roles in the movie that is set to hit theaters on May 5th, 2017.

Phew. After 48 days straight without a day off, the the first draft of #GotG2 is done. I'm sorry to all my friends and family who I have ignored.

Funny Horror Spoof About a Killer Drone Terrorizing People

I imagine not many people out there have a fear of their drones tormenting them. Enrique Iglesias has a reason to fear them though! He got his fingers sliced up by one over the weekend. That has nothing to do with this horror movie spoof called The Drone, though. This is just a very funny trailer for a non-existent movie that could very well happen one day. The film tells the story of a couple whose psychopathic quadrotor terrorizes them. The trailer was created by director Jordan Rubin, and it's cut in the style of most modern day horror movie trailers.

Rumored Obi-Wan Kenobi Trilogy Could Include Darth Maul

rumored-obi-wan-kenobi-trilogy-could-include-dart

Reports of an Obi-Wan Kenobi trilogy being developed by Lucasfilm have been around for several months. Schmoes Know claims to have some additional details on that trilogy that include intel about Ewan McGregor's involvement and other characters that could appear in it, like Darth Maul!

The site says that McGregor is in talks with Disney and Lucasfilm to reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a trilogy outside of the Star Wars Anthology films. They go on to point out that the stories will be set after Episode III, and he will not be a force ghost.

Their source supports the idea that the films "would focus on Obi-Wan’s adventures between the two trilogies as he watches over a maturing Luke Skywalker." They then explain that the films would be "standalone adventures," and that there's a possibility that we would see the return of characters such as Owen Lars and Darth Maul.

It seems like a no-brainer for Disney and Lucasfilm to want to make these movies, and it would be so cool if McGregor actually did come back to reprise his role. He did say that he'd be up for returning, so if the studios are talking to him, I'm sure they'll strike a deal.

Kenobi is such a powerful and badass character in the Star Wars universe, and there are plenty of great stories that they could center around him. This is still only a rumor, but a rumor that continues to grow, with lots of new details, so I'm sure there's some truth to it. One day all will be revealed, so stay tuned!

Disney Announces TANGLED Animated Series with Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi

disney-announces-tangled-animated-series-with-mandy-moore-and-zachary-levi

Disney has announced that they are developing a new animated series based on their popular animated film Tangled. The series will premiere in 2017, and the main talent from the movie will be back to reprise their roles.

Mandy Moore will once again voice the character Rapunzel and Zachary Levi will take on the part of Flynn Rider. You can see some art from the series featuring these two characters above. Here are the details of the setting and story:

Set between the events of the feature film and the start of the 2012 short film Tangled Ever After, the animated series unfolds as Rapunzel acquaints herself with her parents, her kingdom and the people of Corona. As she realizes there is so much more she needs to learn before she can truly accept her royal destiny, she boldly puts her crown and impending marriage on hold to seek out epic adventures, much to the dismay of the king, who, after missing out on Rapunzel's youth, must accept that his daughter is now an independent young woman.
Accompanying Rapunzel on her journey will be Eugene; the plucky chameleon sidekick Pascal; the no-nonsense horse Maximus; the Snuggly Duckling Pub Thugs; and newcomer Cassandra, a tough-as-nails handmaiden who becomes Rapunzel's confidant.

The show will also feature original new songs from Academy Award-winning composer Alan Menken and lyricist Glenn SlaterThis sounds like something that fans of the original film can get excited about. I know my girls are going to flip out when they hear the news. Gary Marsh, president and chief creative officer at Disney Channels Worldwide said this in a statement:

"The genius of the original movie was its seamless blending of cinematic adventure, character-driven comedy and touching emotion. And we are fortunate to have several of the creative talent from that movie on board with this new production. With the addition of Chris and Shane as executive producers, we have the perfect team in place to create a series worthy of the original film."

I hope its good, because I have two young girls that are huge fans of Tangled, which means the series will probably be playing on a constant loop at my home when it's released.
