35 years ago, director George Miller introduced the world to Mad Max, and this summer the next chapter in the franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road, will be unleashed. As we wait to see the insane action-apacked story unfold on the big screen, Warner bros. has released a new featurette that explores the Mad Max legacy.

Mad Max: Fury Road offers post-apocalyptic action set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and most everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life.

Within this world of fire and blood exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There’s Max (Hardy), a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos and Furiosa (Charlize Theron), a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Co-written and directed by George Miller, Mad Max: Fury Road stars Tom Hardy as “Mad” Max Rockatansky, the character played by Mel Gibson in Miller’s original three films. It also stars Nicholas Hoult (Warm Bodies, X-Men: Days of Future Past), Hugh Keays-Byrne (Mad Max, Sleeping Beauty), Nathan Jones (Conan the Barbarian, Troy), Zoe Kravitz (Divergent, X-Men: First Class), Riley Keough (The Runaways, Magic Mike), and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (Transformers: Dark of the Moon). The movie hits theaters on May 15th, 2015.

Leigh Singer has created two supercuts of characters breaking the fourth wall and acknowledging or directly talking to the audience. Some of the best filmmakers use this to dramatic and often comedic effect. The upcoming Deadpool movie likely to break the fourth wall continually, just like he does in the comics.

An awesome new trailer has been released for Bruce Timm's latest DC Entertainment animated project Justice League: Gods and Monsters. This is an original movie that features a crazy alternate universe that features a very different kind of Justice League superhero team. It features much darker versions of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, who are all sporting drastic new looks. This is definitely an intriguing looking animated movie that is worth checking out.

Journey to a divergent reality where the Justice League protects the planet — but answers to no one but themselves. Employing methods of intimidation and fear, this Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman deal brute force in the name of justice. In this alternate universe, Superman was not raised by the Kents in Smallville, the Caped Crusader is not Bruce Wayne, and Wonder Woman is not an Amazon warrior of Themyscira. When a group of famed scientists experience untimely “accidents,” a government task force follows the trail of clues to the Justice League -- but is there a more powerful player operating from the shadows? It’s a high stakes game of intrigue, mystery and action that asks the question: How do you serve justice to those above the law?

Justice League: Gods and Monsters will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on July 28th.

Just four short days ago, the announcement that Ian McKellen is playing Cogsworth in Beauty and The Beast broke. Now, the acclaimed actor gives us a lengthy report on the film's first table read.

With Beauty and The Beast bringing over the musical elements of the animated film, I'm sure many fans will be full of happy tears as well. Honestly the film would have been weird without those songs.

Josh Gad (Le Fou) gives us our first look at most of the cast, which includes from left to right, Gad himself, Dan Stevens (Beast/Prince), Emma Watson (Belle), Luke Evans (Gaston), and Kevin Kline (Maurice). The photo came with the caption: "Can’t wait for you to be our guest."

A lot of people were opposed to Disney adapting their animated classics into live-action films. But after Maleficent and Cinderella, many have started to change their tune. This could be a winning formula for Disney over the next few years. I wonder what they will do when the've run out of animated films to adapt.

Beauty and The Beast journeys into theaters March 17th, 2017.

What if Game of Thrones was made in India? That's what artist and photoshop whiz Vishal Dutt from Gurgaon, India created. There was a rumor floating around that India might be doing their own adaptation of George R. R. Fans have had lots of questions about Spider-Man since Sony Pictures allowed Marvel Studios to help re-develop the character for the big screen and introduce him into the Marvel cinematic universe. This week we've been given some answers, and now we have some additional information for you on the character from Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige.

While talking to IGN, Feige discussed exploring things from the comic that haven't been explored in the films, how the new incarnation of the character relates to Batman, and also what the personality of the character will be like.

"It's a testament to his character that there have been five movies made already over the last, however long it's been, 13 years, and yet, there's so many things that are integral to his character in the comics that haven't been explored yet. That's what most exciting."

He went on to compare their revival of Spider-Man to Batman, saying:

"Batman was the same way; there had been four Batman movies, and then Batman Begins was able to do something unique and tap into something that hadn't been seen before in the movies. It's a similar thing, obviously tonally completely different from Batman, but we're very excited about any number of things about Spidey and his standalone adventures."

As for the the personality of the Spider-Man we'll see in these upcoming films, he explained:

"When he puts that mask on, in the comics, he has a non-stop wit that is almost as troubling to the bad guys he fights as his webs and agility. We feel we haven't really seen that yet."

I love that. I think they almost had it with The Amazing Spider-Man films, but it didn't quite get there. As we've previously reported the new Spider-Man will be a 15-16 year old high school teenager, and they will skip the origin story this time around since we already know it. I can't wait to see him swing into the MCU for the first time!

Marvel fans got quite the treat last weekend when Daredevil was released on Netflix. The series was amazingly well done, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Hopefully we'll see a second season! 

In celebration of the series, Comics Alliance posted a comic strip-style infographic created by cartoonist Chris Haley. In it ,he explains everything you need to know about Daredevil, including his origins, tragic love life, villains, and more. It came with the following note:

"Whether you’re new to comics, new to Marvel’s heroes, or a long-time fan looking to re-familiarize yourself with the eccentricities of superhero continuity (or maybe engage in some hardcore nitpicking), we hope you’ll enjoy this tribute to the hornheaded hero of Hell’s Kitchen."

Director Zack Snyder released a teaser for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice through his Twitter, and simultaneously confirmed earlier reports that special IMAX screenings of the full trailer are being held on April 20th. The video is 21-seconds long, the majority of which are logos, and features Superman and Batman’s suits without actors Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in them. 

While the teaser is the first official footage of Batman’s suit (and presumably the Batcave), the shot of Superman’s suit is merely a recycled shot from the scene in Man of Steel where Clark meets Jor-El. I rewatched that scene to confirm that, but another dead giveaway is the fact that the “S” emblem on the chest doesn’t have the extra lines in the middle that the new version of the suit does — which coincides with the more textured Batman v Superman logo — or the extra blue layer/border underneath the House of El emblem. Below the tweet, I've included a side-by-side comparison of the old suit featured in the teaser and the new suit so you can see those differences for yourself. Old suit left, New suit right.

A couple of days ago it was reported the Michelle MacLaren stepped away from the director's chair for Warner Bros. Wonder Woman due to "creative differences." It didn't take long for the studio to fill her position, and the job goes to Patty Jenkins. You might remember her as the first director who was brought in to direct Thor: The Dark World for Marvel, but was later replaced by Alan Taylor. 

Jenkins is best know for her work on directing episodes of TV shows such as The Killing and Betrayal. I have no idea if she's a good fit for the project, but if she was good enough for Marvel at one point, then this might be the movie for her. Hopefully it all works out for her. There are a lot of "creative differences" issues going on these days.

Gal Gadot is set to play the Amazon princess and superhero. She will make her first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will also play a major part in Justice League, which will be released on November 17th 2017. The first solo Wonder Woman film will be released on June 23rd, 2017.

Star Wars Celebration 2015 kicks off today in Anaheim CA, and it is there that EA and DICE will fully reveal Star Wars: Battlefront. In anticipation of what is to come, they've released a cool teaser image from the game featuring a Stormtrooper.

As of right now, not much is known about the game, but the developer, DICE, is using the Frostbite game engine, which was also used used in the latest Battlefield games. Design Director Niklas Fegraeus previously said this about the game:

“The scale of our maps and modes offer a great variety depending on the location. Hoth, where the Rebel Alliance fought off invading AT-ATs in snowy plains, will differ in size than the dense woodland of Endor…. We have actually made the decision to specifically tailor certain maps to certain game modes and what we get from that is not only incredibly varied scales, but also gameplay that will allow players to live out some of their most memorable Star Wars battle fantasies.”

No official release date has been set for the highly anticipated game, but it will debut on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at the end of this year. Stay tuned because we'll keep you updated on any detail they reveal here at the Star Wars event.

The war on the Vancouver set of Deadpool rages on. Today we have some new videos from the set featuring some fun stunt work. This seems like the kind of production that would be incredibly cool to be a part of. It just looks like everyone is having a blast in these videos. This is going to be such a kick ass movie! I also included a hilarious piece of fan made poster art above.

Based upon Marvel Comics’ most unconventional anti-hero, Deadpool tells the origin story of former Special Forces operative turned mercenary Wade Wilson, who, after being subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopts the alter ego Deadpool. Armed with his new abilities and a dark, twisted sense of humor, Deadpool hunts down the man who nearly destroyed his life.

Ryan Reynolds stars as Deadpool alongside TJ Miller as Weasel, Gina Carano as Angel Dust, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Morena Baccarin as Copycat and Ed Skrein as Ajax. The film will also feature the mutant Colossus.

Tim Miller is directing the movie from a script by Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Deadpool is scheduled for a release on February 12th, 2016

I don’t know about you, but I absolutely loved Furious 7. I’m incredibly sad that the franchise is going to move forward without Paul Walker. It’s just not going to be the same without him, but Universal Pictures is planning on at least three more films in the franchise.

There was a point in the franchise where I was completely uninterested in it. 2 Fast 2 Furious was the worst film in the franchise, but Tokyo Drift ended up being my favorite for a long time. After that I didn’t think that any more films were necessary. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the fourth movie, but when the Fast Five was released, I was floored by the awesomeness. It brought life back into the franchise, and I couldn’t wait to see more.

Walker wasn’t really feeling it after Fast 5, though. During an interview with the LA Times in 2011, shortly after Fast 5 was released and performed better than expected, Walker told the story of how he nearly left the franchise:

“I thought it was stale. They were talking about my involvement with the fourth one and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Really?' Obviously, we made the first one that catered to pop culture and a youth-driven audience. But trends shift overnight with that audience. Nine years later, I really questioned if there was even an audience anymore.”

Now the audience is bigger than ever, and it will be interesting to see where it goes now, especially since Walker won’t be around to help invigorate the franchise further. He’s definitely going to be missed.

Happy Madison Productions has released the first teaser trailer for David Spade’s upcoming Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser. I did’t really care for the first movie, and this sequel looks even worse. I know there’s a fan base out there for Joe Dirt, and maybe this trailer will get them excited for it. Of course, there’s always the chance it will drive them away and make them rethink why they liked Joe Dirt in the first place. Christopher Walken can’t even get me on board.

Spade returns as the mullet-wearing, rock and roll loving, down on his luck white-trash-hero who embarks on another epic journey, this time through the recent past, the heartland of America – and his own mind – to get back to his loved ones. Joe Dirt is back with a vengeance, and a mop.

The movie was written and directed by Fred Wolf (Joe Dirt, Grown Ups), and it also stars  Brittany Daniel (The Game), Dennis Miller, Adam Beach (Flags of Our Fathers), Patrick Warburton (Rules of Engagement), Mark McGrath (Sharknado 2), Charlotte McKinney (Dancing with the Stars), and Kevin Farley (The Waterboy).

Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser will premiere on Crackle beginning July 16th.

Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to an action-adventure film pitch called The Real McCoy, which will star Chris Pratt.

The pitch comes from Bill Dubuque (The Judge) and according to Variety the story revolves around the famous bootlegger named William “Bill” McCoy, “whose life may have inspired the phrase ‘the real McCoy,’ referring to the purity of his liquor.”

Pratt is a hot commodity right now, and I’m sure he’s getting a ton of offers, so the fact that this is one of the projects that he has attached himself to is saying a lot.

Universal is a big fan of Pratt as he is also starring in their Jurassic World film, along with the film adaptation of the comic book Cowboy Ninja Viking. There are no other details on the film at this time but, as always, we’ll keep you updated.

Futurama was such an awesome animated series, and over the years it has gained a pretty big cult following. Even though I'm a fan of the show, I've come to realize that there's a lot that I didn't know about it thanks to this video. The video was created by Top10Memes, and they list ten facts about the series that you might not be aware of. There's a lot of stuff here that I never knew, and now that I know it, my appreciation for the series is even stronger. Star Wars Celebration is currently underway and a new trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to be unveiled to an audience of rabid fans soon. I just spent the entire night in a huge line of people waiting to get into this thing!

To help prime the excitement for the movie, we have some promo poster art that has surfaced online to share with you! The art features a new detailed look at the villain in the story, Kylo Ren, along with some Stormtroopers, including the chrome Stormtrooper we've all heard about.

This is going to be a very slick-looking Star Wars film. I love this universe, and the designs that I'm seeing for the next chapter of the saga are incredibly cool!

It's been a relatively tame year in terms of new releases of anime this year. You got your Harems, your comedies, action, and slice of lifes but with the exception of the orgasm food fest that is Food Wars! (which I don't consider a must watch) there haven't been a lot of strange new shows, save one. Punch Line (as it's name would suggest) feels like one big joke, and it is very funny, it's also pretty damn good in other areas as well.

Mind you, the second episode of the new series (which is streaming on Crunchyroll) doesn't air until 2 ET today, so all the things I'm about to tell you happened in just the first twenty minutes of this off the wall series.

• A bus is hijacked
• People are shot
• Girl on motorcycle busts through front window of runaway bus
• Beats bad guys senseless with a giant bendy straw
• Boy on bus sees girls panties through skirt
• Boy gains superpowers.

I'll stop there because that's basically the premise of this show. Yūta Iridatsu is a boy who acquires super powers when he sees women in their underwear, but at a great risk. That is, if Yuta sees another girl in her underwear while he is already super powered, blood shoots out of his nose, he passes out, and an asteroid destroys Earth. Yes, all of humanity is wiped out due to a back to back underwear peep.

So now Yuta becomes a ghost, but not completely dead. He meets this cat who, supposedly, has an addiction to pornography, and the cat explains all the stuff above, and explains that Yuta's soul is outside his body as he has been possessed by someone else. Yuta can only regain his body by aquiring some ancient book from India. This is easier said than done as now that he is a ghost, Yuta is privy to all kinds of upskirts and panty shots galore...which keeps destroying the world and forcing him to go back in time.

It sounds really f****** stupid when I write it out, but I assure you, this show is worth your time. It's hilarious, action packed, and wonderfully animated with loads of vibrant colors as you can see below...

This show has already drawn a lot of comparisons to old anime great FLCL, and that's a fair comparison. Some elements of this show seem to be an homage to that, and so far it's been as good as I could possibly expect for a show with such a premise. Seeing as the second episode premieres today at 2 ET, I figured I'd give you the heads up so you can show your friends and have them question what you are doing in your free time.

We've already heard rumors that Marvel was looking at possibly hiring Angelina Jolie to direct Captain Marvel, but it looks like the studio is starting to get serious about it. According to Collider, the actress turned director is under serious consideration for the gig.

There's no word on if an offer has been made, but it definitely sounds like there are talks going on between the two parties. Marvel is looking to bring on a high profile female director for the film, and Jolie seems to fit. Most of the projects she has directed have been personal labors of love, so who knows if she's even really interested in a film like this. Personally, I don't think Jolie is even that good of a director, and I think Marvel could do better. But if she takes it, maybe she'll surprise me.

The movie recently got itself a couple of great writers that consist of Guardians of the Galaxy scribe Nicole Perlman and Inside Out writer Meg LeFauve. Captain Marvel is currently set to arrive in theaters on November 2nd, 2018. We'll keep you updated on how this news plays out.
