The latest promo for Gotham is a featurette that focuses on "the last good man in Gotham, James Gordon." It includes Ben McKenzie talking about his character and all of the craziness that he's going to have to deal with in the city. It also features some footage from the series as well. Whether you’re an enslaved captive after he destroyed your world, or a superhero hell-bent on saving the galaxy, let this article be your guide to the ins and outs of the forsaken son of destruction. Before learning his weaknesses, however, it’s important you know how he came to be, and how he grew into one of the most feared names in the galaxy.
Cursed from birth by The Celestials, Thanos was born to the parents A’Lars and Sui-San. His brother Eros was handsome and fun loving, while Thanos was born with deviant syndrome, a mutation that gave him gray skin and a massive body frame. An outcast from birth, Thanos harbored a lot of resentment and anger towards those who looked normal around him. He became obsessed with the concept of death and began conditioning his body until he was sure he had become stronger than all the inhabitants of his home world Titan.
Now matured, Thanos would leave his home world on a stolen ship. A hundred years later, Thanos would return with an army and a love for Death, literally Death. Thanos had met the embodiment of Death and in an attempt to woo her, attacked his own world. Many were killed including Thanos’ mother, Sui-San. After a long fought battle, Thanos conquered Titan, and from there began his reign of terror upon the galaxy.
Thanos' one true love is Death. He fights, conquers, and destroys primarily to attain her love and affection. Death is a cruel mistress, however, and throughout history Thanos has failed her time and time again.
How do you stop a being who unmercifully killed his own mother? Whose nihilist personality has led to the destruction of numerous planets and conquering of millions? It’s no easy task to defeat Thanos. In fact, he once took on a bulk of the Marvel universe, Galactus, and several other god-like entities and still won. Can Thanos be defeated?
If you are trying to outmatch Thanos on a physical level, you will fail. His official strength chart is unknown, but he has been seen knocking The Hulk back a considerable distance with a punch to the face. If he needs more power he can always channel it internally and create more where there is none. His stamina is limitless as a perk to his Deviant body not producing any lactic acid, and his speed is comparable to the fastest human athlete.
Like all Eternals, he is ageless, unable to be affected by disease or infection, and for a moment was banned from dying by Death herself. The ban has since been lifted, but it should be evident by now that killing Thanos is no easy task.
His intelligence and psychic abilities are unmatched, and his willingness to do anything for power are perhaps his greatest assets. His powers of telepathy have been known to transcend dimensions, and his technological innovation is eras above current human achievement. Mind you, this is all before he acquires intergalactic aid. When he possesses either the Cosmic Cube or any of the Infinity Gems, Thanos is unstoppable.
If Thanos were to have any weakness, it would be his pride and self doubt. Thanos has been plagued with the ability to attain and achieve all the power he could ever want, only to lose it in a moment of arrogance or uncaring. All his losses have come from underestimating his opponents or becoming careless in his powerful states... well he was arrested once in the 60’s, but that was a weird time.

Dimension Films has released two new TV spots for Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. One is called "Beauty" and it focuses on Jessica Alba's character. The other is called "Goddess" and it puts the spotlight on Eva Green's character. The film hits theaters on August 22nd, and it looks like it will be a good time at the movies.
Eddie Redmayne (Les Misérables) plays Stephen Hawking in this fantastic looking biopic of the genius English theoretical physicist, cosmologist, and author. The movie is called The Theory of Everything, and it was helmed by Man on Wire director James Marsh. It also stars Felicity Jones (The Amazing Spider-Man 2), Emily Watson, and David Thewlis. Redmayne looks like he gives an incredible performance while telling this powerful and inspirational story.
This is the extraordinary story of one of the world’s greatest living minds, the renowned astrophysicist Stephen Hawking, who falls deeply in love with fellow Cambridge student Jane Wilde. Once a healthy, active young man, Hawking received an earth-shattering diagnosis at 21 years of age. The movie will be released in theaters on November 7th.

Lionsgate has released six new District 13 character posters The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. They came along with a new viral site and were unlocked by fans. The Hunger Games continues to set the world on fire with The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, which finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever. Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trusted friends, Katniss spreads her wings as she fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.
The movie is being directed by Francis Lawrence from a screenplay by Danny Strong and Peter Craig. It will be in theaters on November 21st, 2014.
In anticipation of the release of the new Ninja Turtles movie, Screen Junkies has released an Honest Trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze. The movie wasn't as good as the first one, but as a kid I still enjoyed the hell out of it. I haven't seen this sequel in years, and after watching this latest Honest Trailer it's one that I don't think I'll be revisiting anytime soon.

The SyFy Channel has announced that director Wolfgang Peterson (Das Boot, The Neverending Story, Troy, Air Force One) and Scott Stuber (Safe House, Ted) are set to develop a series based on the John Scalzi book The Ghost Brigades, which is part of the Hugo Award nominated Old Man's War universe book series.
The story follows John Perry, "who at 75, enlists into the Colonial Defense Force to fight a centuries-long war for man's expansion into the cosmos. Technology allows experiences and consciousness to be transplanted into younger bodies that are outfitted to endure the harsher rigors of war in space. However, soon after John arrives, he finds himself involved with a mysterious woman, and at the same time, at the center of an unraveling conspiracy involving an elite fighting force known as The Ghost Brigades."
The pilot episode will be written by Jake Thornton and Ben Lustig, who are both currently working on Winter's Knight for Columbia Pictures. Peterson has made some amazing movies in his career, he's a great filmmaker, and the fact that he's developing this project is a good sign that this is going to be a solid series.
Joss Whedon is looking like a hardcore gangster in this photo he released announcing that he has wrapped production on Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now that's a man who looks like he's completely satisfied and confident with what he's done with Age of Ultron.
Whedon will now take the project into post production where he'll spend another year or so editing it, polishing the special effects, doing reshoots, if needed, and lots of other stuff to complete this movie. The question is, will he come back for a third Avengers movie, or is he finished with Marvel? If he doesn't come back for Avengers 3, I wouldn't mind seeing James Gunn take it on.
The first footage for Age of Ultron was screened at Comic-Con recently, and the crowd went wild over what they saw. This is going to be a stunning sequel. You can read our description of that footage here.

Twister was such a fun movie to watch back in the day, and with the new tornado movie Into The Storm coming out soon, Cinema Sins put together a video highlighting everything wrong with Twister. This is actually one of the more entertaining videos that I've seen from the web-series.

Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens stars in the upcoming action thriller The Guest. In it he plays a recently discharged soldier who visits the home of the family of one of his fallen comrades to fulfill a promise. The family starts to notice suspicious things, and it turns out that he's not the person that he has made himself out to be.
The film was written by Simon Barrett and directed by Adam Wingard. It looks like a solidly made intense movie, and it's been getting great reviews, so it seems like something worth checking out. Here's the synopsis:
Still struggling over the loss of their oldest son, Caleb, to the war in Afghanistan, the Peterson family finds some solace when an unexpected visitor knocks on its door. David, a steely eyed and charismatic soldier who was recently discharged, is welcomed into their home when he comes to fulfill a promise he made to his fallen comrade. Siblings Anna and Luke are at first reluctant to accept David’s presence, but he soon wins them over by scoring kegs for Anna’s friends and roughing up some bullies from Luke’s school. Though he appears to be the perfect houseguest, a mysterious and sinister chain of events causes Anna to question whether David is actually whom he claims to be.
The movie hits theaters on September 17th.

FX has released a full trailer for the seventh and final season of Sons of Anarchy. It doesn't look like this show is going to end well for anybody. That's not a bad thing, but this just isn't the kind of series that was built for a happy ending.
Jax is on the warpath of revenge this season, and it looks like the conflicts between the Chinese, Mayans, and One-Niners are going to explode.
The series stars Charlie Hunnam, Katey Sagal, Mark Boone Junior, Kim Coates, Tommy Flanagan, Theo Rossi, Dayton Callie, and Drea de Matteo. Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love have also joined the cast for this season in decent sized roles. Lea Michele (Glee) will also make an appearance.
The series premieres on Tuesday, September 9th on FX.
This beautiful piece of X-Men fan art comes from Tu Bui, and it features Phoenix. This is a great character in the Marvel universe, and it would be great to one day see the character brought to life on the big screen in the right way. I know she was introduced in X-Men: The Last Stand, but c'mon… that doesn't count.
The reviews for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been coming out and most of the reviews I've seen haven't been kind. It's not surprising, the movie looked like it was probably going to suck. It doesn't really matter though how good it is, the movie is still going to make an ass-load of money, and there will probably be multiple sequels that follow.
We've got an extended clip from the film for you to watch called "The Elevator." It features the turtles taking an elevator ride up to the top of a building where they fight Shredder. I've also included a new featurette called "Wiz Gets Shell Shocked," and it focuses on the music used in the film. I saw the movie Se7en when I was 15-years-old. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I knew nothing about the film before I saw it and it rocked my world. That was one of the most insanely disturbing films that I had seen in my life up until that point… and I loved it!

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is a newly announced game exclusively for PS3 and Xbox 360 (last-gen consoles) coming out November 11th. Assassin’s Creed Unity is exclusive to the PS4 and Xbox One and coming out October 28th. So if you're a fan of Assassin’s Creed and you have both generations of consoles, it looks like you've got a lot of gaming to look forward to. While I'm very excited for Assassin’s Creed Unity, I don't yet own a PS4. I'm glad Ubisoft has made a game specifically for people with last-gen consoles.

Playing as an Assassin turned Templar is not only a fun twist but allows us to see a side of the conflict we've yet to see. I'm adding this to my Christmas wishlist.
When I was a kid I loved collecting Garbage Pail Kids cards. What can I say?! They entertained me! I was so happy to see that Topps produced six San Diego Comic-Con collectible jumbo Garbage Pail Kids trading card prints featuring some pop-culture parodies of Game of Thrones, Captain American, Transformers, He-Man, and more.
