We already know that Doctor Octopus and Vulture were teased in the recent trailer for The Amazing-Spider-Man 2 along with the rest of the sinister six, but now we have another easter egg that teases Venom and the living vampire Morbius as well.

The information was found on the the Oscorp touch computer screen that Harry was looking at in the trailer, as you can see in the screenshot above.

Nano Drug System, Weapons System 8A, Venom Storage 7-U, Exoskeleton 232, Plutonium Lab, Research SGOP 520, Transmitter Test 9, Carbon Fiber Test 7, Oscorp Lab 231, Internal System Test 2, Labs 2345 – 4748, Oscorp Tower File 23.

Synthetic plants, Experiment OCT 32A, 67B – Bio-Lab, Eel Lab – Report 29, Ravencroft, Oahu Facility, Document 9303-D, Power Station – NY, OS – Suit (Mark III), London Lab – 0930, Australia Project, Dr Connors File, Dr Morbius File

Here's a higher resolution photo that you can check out for yourself thanks to Big Comic Page. With word that Sony Pictures plans on making several stand alone spin-off films based on the Spider-Man universe, I imagined these characters would eventually make their appearance, and it's looking like they just might, which would be so cool!

Trailer for The Wachowskis' Sci-Fi Film JUPITER ASCENDING

trailer-for-the-wachowskis-sci-fi-film-jupiter-ascending.jpg

The first trailer for the Wachowskis' new sci-fi adventure Jupiter Ascending has been released, and it looks like it could be cool. I've always been a fan of the Wachowskis' work, and I'm looking forward to seeing this, but I'm not overly excited about it. This most likely won't be one of their best films, but it still looks like it could provide some solid entertainment. As you might expect from this directing duo, the film is going to be visually stunning. They always manage to come up with these really cool-looking worlds. There's just something off about this one, I can quite put my finger on it... maybe it's Channing Tatum's elf ears?  The movie also stars Mila Kunis, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Doona Bae, Douglas Booth, Tuppence Middleton, Tim Pigott-Smith, and James D’Arcy. Here's the synopsis,

Jupiter Jones (Kunis) was born under a night sky, with signs predicting that she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people's houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

It's set to be released in theaters on July 25th, 2014.

USA Today

Three official photos have been released along with three new viral videos for Gareth Edward's Godzilla. The photos tease the giant creature and feature Bryan Cranston and Aaron Taylor-Johnson. As for the videos, they feature a tiny bit of new footage from the movie. The first trailer for the film is scheduled to be released on Tuesday, so stay tuned because we'll have it up for you as soon as it goes live! While talking about the film, the director had this to say,

"To me, he's like a force of nature, like the wrath of God or vengeance for the way we've behaved. If this really happened, it would be like Sept. 11. I want it to be epic. I want to get the hairs on the back of your neck up. [Gozilla] is the closest thing to being a god as I think there is in terms of a job you could have. You picture something one day and draw it, and the next day, it's physical and there in front of you no matter how insane."

He then went on to tease other creatures, saying,

"I've just got a secret fantasy — well, it's not very secret anymore — about living in a world where there's fantastical things like giant creatures and what it would really be like and trying to take it seriously. And there's no bigger or better icon than Godzilla."

Godzilla hits theaters on May 16th, 2014!

Jason Momoa in Talks to Join BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN

Via: THR

Game of ThronesJason Momoa is in negotiations to join Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck in Zack Snyder's Batman Vs. Superman. There's no solid intel on who he will exactly be playing in the film, but there's speculation that it could be the villain Doomsday or Martian Manhunter, who is part of the Justice League team. Of course, neither of these are confirmed, and he could be up for a completely different role. I could see him taking on either one of those, though.

Warner Bros. and Snyder are deep into casting the film, and they most recently brought on Gal Godot to play Wonder Woman. It will be interesting to see what other characters Snyder plans on packing into this movie, and who ends up being cast in those roles. What character would you like to see Momoa play in the movie?

Red-Band Trailer for Jason Bateman's Comedy BAD WORDS

red-band-trailer-for-jason-batemans-comedy-bad-words.jpg

Here's a funny red-band trailer for Jason Bateman's upcoming R-rated comedy Bad Words. The reason for the red-band is because of the vulgarity--the movie definitely lives up to its title. Bateman not only stars in the film, he directed it as well.

Bateman stars as Guy Trilby, a 40-year-old who finds a loophole in the rules of The Golden Quill national spelling bee and decides to cause trouble by hijacking the competition. Contest officials, outraged parents, and overly ambitious 8th graders are no match for Guy, as he ruthlessly crushes their dreams of victory and fame. As a reporter (Kathryn Hahn) attempts to discover his true motivation, Guy finds himself forging an unlikely alliance with a competitor: awkward 10-year-old Chaitanya (Rohan Chand), who is completely unfazed by Guy’s take-no-prisoners approach to life.

The movie will open up in limited theaters on March 21st, 2014, then expand wide on March 28th.

Ridley Scott Looking to Develop Fantasy Film FAE

Via: Deadline

Director and producer Ridley Scott has optioned the rights to a young adult fantasy book series called Fae, which he is looking to adapt into a feature film.

The book was written by sibling authors Colet and Jasmine Abedi, and so far they have released one of three books. The story follows a character named Caroline Ellis, who on her 16th birthday "triggers the battle fated for centuries between the Dark and Light Fae, forcing her to confront who she is and discover whether her tumultuous relationship with Devilyn Reilly, who’s battling the power of the Dark within him, will destroy them both along with humanity."

Scott is set to set to produce the film now, but there's a chance he could end up directing it as well. Apparently the book has become a Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest phenomenon. I haven't heard of it until now. The sequel has already been completed and will be called The Dark King

This sounds like it could be a pretty cool film series! I would actually love to see see Scott dive back into fantasy. The last fantasy film he made was 1985's Legend. Here's a detailed description of the book,

ridley-scott-looking-to-develop-fantasy-film-fae-book.jpg

The battle between Dark and Light is about to begin.

Caroline Ellis' sixteenth birthday sets into motion a series of events that have been fated for centuries. A descendant of Virginia Dare, the first child born in the lost colony of Roanoke, and unaware of her birthright as the heir to the throne of the Light Fae, it isn't until Caroline begins a tumultuous relationship with Devilyn Reilly that the truth of her heritage is revealed.

Devilyn is the only Fae who is both of the Light and of the Dark, and struggles to maintain that precarious balance to avoid succumbing to the power of the Dark within him. He is the only one who can save Caroline from those who would destroy her and destroy all hope for unity among the Fae. He promises Caroline that he will protect her at all costs, even when it means protecting her from himself.

Told from the alternating perspectives of Caroline and Devilyn, FAE draws on mysteries, myths and legends to create a world, and a romance, dangerously poised between Light and Dark.

Some additional information has surfaced for Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction. The info comes from M1905, who conducted several interviews with the cast and crew of the film. They do reveal some Spoilerish details about the plot and characters, so be warned.

  • Shane saves both Cade and Tessa's lives very early in the movie and gains the trust of the Yeagers.
  • Cade Yeager and Optimus Prime become best friends. They both live with their own code of ethics.
  • Cade must make a choice between his life and his daughter's where Optimus must make a choice between doing the right thing what must be done and the safety of his own life.
  • Li Bingbing's character is an owner of a very special "Factory" in China.
  • Third act of the movie takes place entirely in Hong Kong.
  • A conference is attacked and the officials call for help from a special group of individuals.

To watch the interviews for yourself, click here. The movie is set to be released on July 27th, 2014. The movie is sure to be entertaining, and it will be interesting to see how it stacks up to the first three. I'm hoping it will be the better.

AMERICAN HUSTLE - New Clip and TV Spot

american-hustle-new-clip-and-tv-spot.jpg

We've got a new clip and TV spot from David O. Russell's American Hustle for you to check out. The clip features a conversation between Bradley Cooper and Amy Adams, and it's not really a happy conversation. Russell is a hell of a great storyteller, I'm a big fan of his writing a directing style, and this is sure to be another brilliant film.

The movie will be released on on December 13th in New York and Los Angeles, and then go wide on December 20th.

Tom Cruise Developing JACK REACHER Sequel NEVER GO BACK

tom-cruise-developing-jack-reacher-sequel-never-go-back.jpg

Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher was an a great action thriller! I loved the character, and the movie turned out awesome. I was hoping that we would get a sequel, and I'm excited to report that it's happening!

Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are teaming back up to bring us a sequel based on Lee Child's novel Never Go Back, which was published earlier this fall.

The story follows Reacher as he "heads back to his old military based in Virginia to take a woman to dinner who is now the commanding officer. By the time he gets there, she has been arrested and Reacher finds himself being charged with pummeling one guy, and fathering a child with a woman. He can’t remember either transgression, but gets to the bottom of it with cunning and sometimes brute force."

According to Deadline, the studio is putting the film on the fast track to production, which means this may end up being Cruise's next film after Mission: Impossible 5. The studio is currently looking for writers. Christopher McQuarrie wrote and directed the first film, but he won't be back to write the sequel as he'll be busy with M:I5, although the studio is hoping to bring him back to direct.

It would be great if they got McQuarrie to team up with Cruise again. The two seem to make a great filmmaking team. Jack Reacher is going to make a solid film franchise.

Featurette for Starz' Pirate Series BLACK SAILS

featurette-for-starzs-pirate-series-black-sails.jpg

Starz has released a behind the scenes featurette for their Michael Bay-produced pirate series Black Sails. The story focuses on the adventures of Captain Flint and his men, and it takes place twenty years before Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic Treasure Island. It's about time we get a TV series about pirates, and this one looks like it's going to be pretty fantastic!

Flint (Toby Stephens), the most brilliant and most feared pirate captain of his day, takes on a fast-talking young addition to his crew who goes by the name John Silver (Luke Arnold). Threatened with extinction on all sides, they fight for the survival of New Providence Island, the most notorious criminal haven of its day – a debauched paradise teeming with pirates, prostitutes, thieves and fortune seekers, a place defined by both its enlightened ideals and its stunning brutality.

The series also stars Zach McGowan (Shameless) as rival Captain Charles Vane; Toby Schmitz as Rackham, Vane’s right hand; Hannah New as Eleanor Guthrie, a determined young woman who runs the smuggling operation on New Providence; Jessica Parker Kennedy as Max, a tortured young prostitute who sees the dark side of New Providence; Clara Paget as the beautiful but cold-blooded Anne Bonny and Tom Hopper (Merlin) as Billy Bones, boatswain of Flint’s ship.

The series will debut with an eight-episode season in January of 2014! I've also included a trailer for it as well.

Legendary Pictures has released the first official trailer for Godzilla, and holy hell, it looks freakin' awesome! It looks like director Gareth Edwards, has given us something epically badass. I think Godzilla fans are going to be very happy with what they see. I know I had a smile on my face the whole time I was watching the trailer!

An epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.

The movie stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Ken Watanabe, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Sally Hawkins, David Strathairn, and Bryan Cranston. The movie hits theaters on May 16th, 2014!

COMMUNITY Season 5 Teaser Trailer - Mr. Winger

community-season-5-teaser-trailer-mr-winger.jpg

It's going to be really interesting to see if Community creator Dan Harmon can save the sitcom and make it good again. He wasn't involved with the fourth season at all, and the show suffered. He's back for season five though, and I really hope he can breath life back into it.

Joel McHale previously said that Harmon is “basically calling it a re-pilot of the show, where he’s re-establishing all the characters and grounding (them).” And in case you haven't heard, Chevy Chase has left the show, and Donald Glover will only be in the first few episodes. John Oliver is returning, and he has this to say in an interview with USA Today,

"Professor Duncan has such a vibrant relationship with alcohol that it’s entirely possible he simply blacked out two seasons ago, and doesn’t realize that he’s missed anything. The truth is that there’s actually a fantastic explanation for his absence that makes simultaneously complete sense, as well as no sense whatsoever."

This teaser trailer is almost cut like a trailer for a movie, and it has a very different look and feel than anything we've seen from the show in the past. This is a good thing! I like what I see, and I'm excited for the return of the series!

Here's an awesome piece of Star Wars Darth Vader steampunk art created by CGHUB  user Bjorn Hurri. This is the artist that created this other series of Star Wars steampunk character art back in 2011. I've got to say his Vader design looks insanely menacing.

Trailer for Japan's Live-Action KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE

Kikis Delivery Service live-action poster.jpg

This is the full trailer for Japan's live-action big screen adaptation of of the anime film Kiki's Delivery Service. I have to admit the trailer put a smile on my face. It looks like it will be an adorable film. The story follows "a young girl named Kiki who must leave her home for a year to begin training in witchcraft. After saying goodbye to her friends and family Kiki leaves on her broom and begins her new life in the town of Koriko seaside with her trusted cat Jiji."

Anime fans, there will be slight changes from the story told in the anime as the live-action Kiki's Delivery Service will be based on Kadono's first two volumes while the 1989 anime from Studio Ghibli only covered the first. There are six collected volumes in total that chronicle the tales of Kiki and her black cat Jiji so it seems likely that if the first film is successful, a trilogy will be created adapting two books at a time. Takashi Shimizu (The Grudge) directs and newcomer Fūka Koshiba plays the titular lead. Ryōhei Hirota, Machiko Ono, Hiroshi Yamamoto, Miho Kanazawa, Rie Miyazawa and Michitaka Tsutsui also star. Satoko Okudera (Wolf Prince) penned the film's script.

The movie will be released in Japan on March 1st, 2014. Thanks to Anime News Network for the heads up! I've also included the trailer for the original anime.

Nicolas Cage Discusses Tim Burton's SUPERMAN LIVES

Via: Bleeding Cool

Via: Bleeding Cool

Nicolas Cage recently did an interview where he talked a little bit about comics and the Superman Lives film project he was developing with Tim Burton. That Superman film would have been very interesting to see, but according to Cage, Warner Bros. was too scared to push it into production.

When asked if animated features connect with his love of comic books, the actor reveals that he may not be as big as a fanboy as we thought he was,

"Look, the truth is I’m not obsessed with comics. I don’t read comics as a 49-year-old man. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but I have other interests that are more in tune with where I’m at right now. But I’m loyal and I will never forget the impressions that comics gave me as a child. They are like primitive cartoons and those characters became like a modern mythology that’s touched the world. So animated movies are like cousins to comics."

I love how he added the "Not that there's anything wrong with that" line. He then talked about Superman Lives, which would have been based on the "Death of Superman" arc with Brainiac and Doomsday as the villains in the story. Cage had this to say,

"Very close. Look, I’m not going to be one of these guys that’s going to be, like, lamenting things. But is Tim Burton one of my favorite directors? Yes. Did I see some of the drawings of where he wanted to go? Yes. And I will tell you, they were fantastic and it would have been a mind-blowing experience. Did I have a concept of how to play the character? Yes, and I can tell you it would have been gutsy. So maybe Warner Brothers got scared because they had two artists that weren’t afraid to take chances."

It's strange that the studio got cold feet, especially after Burton's Batman films did so well. I would have thought they would trust his judgment. But they must not have liked how "gutsy" it would have been.

Andrew Garfield Not a Part of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 4

As you know Sony Pictures already set release dates for The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and also The Amazing Spider-Man 4. I just assumed Andrew Garfield would return to play Peter Parker in all of the films, but in a recent interview with Yahoo!, the actor reveals that he's not a part of the fourth film saying,

"I mean I’m under contract for another one after this… as far as a fourth one? That's not anything to do with me. But yeah, I think what we’re doing here is we've established the world. And now we get to really play inside that world."

It would be kind of strange not to see Garfield reprise his role. Maybe he is just waiting to renegotiate his contract with the studio? Garfield seems so in love with this character, it doesn't make sense that he wouldn't want to keep doing more. Director Marc Webb goes on to compare the first film with the the sequel, saying,

“You know the first time we had to deal with the origin story which was fun, but tricky. This time around the flood gates opened for all of us. We got to explore things that just hadn’t been explored cinematically before. Whether it’s Electro you know, or more the story with Gwen…This time around we’ve really focused on making this a driving action movie from the get go.”

Garfield adds,

"I think there was something missing in the first one because our focus wasn't on character as much we were trying to keep a number of plates spinning in the air – How can we reintroduce the character? How do we not upset this guy or this guy? That was a tough wasteland we had to move through. Now we could say, 'who is this guy? How can we best serve Spider-Man?'"

The sequel looks like it going to be freakin' great! I loved what I saw in the first trailer and I can't wait to see more! I definitely looks better than the first movie. The actor goes on to talk about his emotional pitch meeting with the films writers,

“I sat with [screenwriters] Bob Orci and Alex Kurtzman in a restaurant for lunch in New York, and they pitched me this movie… And I was crying. I'm an easy crier, but I was really emotionally moved by what they said to me. And I think a lot of my emotion was because these two guys love the character as much as I do."

Now if for some crazy reason Garfield didn't come back to play Spider-Man, who do you think should step into the role?

The sequel hits theaters on May 2nd, 2014, and I'm looking forward to see how far they expand this franchise and universe.

A man and his girlfriend were "urban exploring" around Belgium when they found an abandoned hospital building with a message "There's beauty in destruction." After entering they stumbled upon quite a few unique Batman graffiti's allegedly tagged by the same artist. "Pete" or "Peteone" as he put in one piece is a mystery to the internet but despite his obscurity extremely talented! Here's hoping we see more of his work surface on the web very soon!
