Trailer for PENTHOUSE NORTH with Keaton and Monaghan

Here's an international trailer for an upcoming new thriller called Penthouse North which stars Michael Keaton and Michelle Monaghan who plays a blind woman who is terrorized by a couple of thieves. The movie was directed by Joseph Ruben, and as much as I enjoy Keaton as an actor, this doesn't really look like a good movie. I can tell just from the trailer that it's going to be a shallow movie with a generic story. Here's the synopsis,

Sara Taylor (Monaghan), a photojournalist blinded in Iraq, is forced to play a deadly game of cat and mouse with the sadistic criminal Hollander (Keaton) – a man who will stop at nothing to get a fortune of stolen diamonds hidden in Sara’s penthouse apartment. Although Sara claims to not know where the diamonds are, Hollander utilizes psychological and physical torture in an effort to break Sara’s resistance. But Sara fights back. As the suspense builds to a shattering climax, Sara gains the advantage. But will it be enough to save her?

As of right now there's still no U.S. release date for the film. I imagine one day we'll see it pop up on Instant Netflix.

WonderCon takes place in Anaheim, California at the end of the month from March 29th to the 31st! GeekTyrant will be there representing in all our geek glory, and it should turn out to be another fun year!

There hasn't been much info yet on what we'll get to see there this year. We know that the gang that brought us the Evil Dead remake will be there and now today we have the schedule for Warner Bros. TV panels! They will be shows such as Arrow, Teen Titans Go!, The Following, Revolution and more!

On top of the panels and appearances from talent, the studio will also be presenting "a special screening exclusively for the WonderCon audience, offering fans an advance look — on the big screen — of upcoming episodes of Warner Bros. Television’s new hit dramas Arrow, The Following and Revolution, before they air, as well as the world-premiere screening of the debut episode of Teen Titans Go!, from Warner Bros. Animation."

Here's a breakdown of what you have to look forward to. Do you plan on attending the convention this year?!

FRIDAY, MARCH 29

Exclusive Warner Bros. Television Screenings — For the fourth straight year, Warner Bros. Television kicks off WonderCon with preview screenings of fan-favorite series. For 2013, WBTV will unveil — on the big screen — the world premiere of new, previously unaired episodes of the first-year hit dramas "Arrow", from executive producers Greg Berlanti ("Golden Boy"), Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern) and Andrew Kreisberg ("Fringe"); "The Following", from creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson ("The Vampire Diaries") and starring Kevin Bacon; and Revolution, from creator Eric Kripke ("Supernatural") and J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions ("Fringe", "Lost"). Additionally, fans will be able to see the series premiere episode of Warner Bros. Animation’s new "Teen Titans Go!".

• "Arrow", The CW’s most watched series premiere since "The Vampire Diaries" in 2009, stars Stephen Amell as billionaire Oliver Queen, who — after being marooned for five years on a remote island — returns home with a mysterious agenda and lethal set of new skills that he uses in a war on crime. Reinventing the DC Comics character for a modern-day audience, the Arrow is not a super hero … but a hero, every bit as dangerous as the criminals he’s hunting. This hard-hitting action series also stars Katie Cassidy, Colin Donnell, David Ramsey and Willa Holland, with Susanna Thompson and Paul Blackthorne. Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg are executive producers of the series, based upon characters appearing in comic books and graphic novels published by DC Comics. Arrow is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television and airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW.

• "The Following": Golden Globe winner and Emmy nominee Kevin Bacon stars in this terrifying new psychological thriller from creator/executive producer Kevin Williamson (Scream) and executive producer Marcos Siega ("The Vampire Diaries"). In The Following, Bacon plays psychologically scarred ex-FBI agent Ryan Hardy, who’s drawn back into an ever-growing web of murder and madness masterminded by serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy, "Rome"), who brought an end to Hardy’s career years before. In addition to Bacon and Purefoy, The Following also stars Natalie Zea, Annie Parisse, Shawn Ashmore, Valorie Curry, Adan Canto, Nico Tortorella and Kyle Catlett. From Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Outerbanks Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television, The Following airs Mondays at 9/8c on FOX.

• "Revolution": In this epic adventure from J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and "Supernatural" creator Eric Kripke, a family struggles in an American landscape where every single piece of technology — computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out forever. A drama with sweeping scope and intimate focus, Revolution is a swashbuckling journey of hope and rebirth seen through the eyes of one strong-willed young woman, Charlie Matheson ("Being Human" star Tracy Spiridakos), and her brother Danny (Graham Rogers). When Danny is kidnapped by militia leaders for a darker purpose, Charlie reconnects with her estranged uncle, Miles (Twilight’s Billy Burke), a former U.S. Marine living a reclusive life. Together with a rogue band of survivors, they set out to rescue Danny, overthrow the militia and ultimately re-establish the United States of America. All the while, they explore the enduring mystery of why the power failed and if — or how — it will ever return. The series also stars Giancarlo Esposito, Zak Orth, David Lyons, Daniella Alonso, JD Pardo, Tim Guinee and Elizabeth Mitchell. From Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions, Kripke Enterprises and Warner Bros. Television, Revolution airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC.

• "Teen Titans Go!": The Teen Titans are returning to Cartoon Network with all-new comedic adventures, and this time they’re giving viewers a look at what life is really like as a teen super hero… once the cape comes off. Inspired by the original Teen Titans series from Warner Bros. Animation that ran for five seasons, the character-driven comedy — based upon DC Comics characters — focuses on the funny that happens in between saving the world and living together as teenagers without adult supervision. The comedic mayhem of the animated series is punctuated by pranks and the occasional need to fight crime, but it will also deal with the everyday issues of adolescence. With epic staring contests to decide who does the laundry, a series of quests and battles to construct the perfect sandwich or fighting crime in Jump City, one thing is for sure: These Titans will always be ready for an adventure — inside the house and out. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, Teen Titans Go! features the principal voice cast from the original series — Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Tara Strong, Hynden Walch and Khary Payton — with Sam Register ("MAD", "Teen Titans", "Batman: The Brave and The Bold") serving as executive producer and Michael Jelenic ("ThunderCats") and Aaron Horvath ("MAD") serving as producers. Teen Titans Go! will premiere Tuesday, April 23, at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT on Cartoon Network, with rebroadcasts running in the DC Nation block on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. ET/PT, beginning April 27.

SATURDAY, MARCH 30

• "Revolution" Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Following the hit show’s eagerly anticipated spring return on March 25, this panel session featuring stars Billy Burke (Twilight films), Elizabeth Mitchell ("Lost"), Tracy Spiridakos ("Being Human"), Zak Orth (Wet Hot American Summer), David Lyons ("ER"), Daniella Alonso ("Friday Night Lights") and Tim Guinee (Iron Man) as well as co-executive producer David Rambo will tackle burning questions such as Bass’s plans for the expansion of the Monroe Republic, the long-awaited Matheson family reunion and theories on what really happened to cause the blackout. Join these “revolutionaries” as they reveal exclusive information about the remaining episodes of the first season.

• "Teen Titans Go!" Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Join producers Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath as well as voice actors Greg Cipes (Beast Boy) and Khary Payton (Cyborg) from the new half-hour action-comedy series for a Q&A moderated by Warner Bros. Animation’s Sam Register as well as an exclusive sneak peek of the show’s premiere episode — coming to Cartoon Network in April. Inspired by Warner Bros. Animation’s original fan-favorite series Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go! highlights the humorous side of being a burgeoning super hero. Featuring the return of Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg, this hilarious new series — based upon DC Comics characters — focuses on the funny business that happens to teenage super heroes between saving the world and doing the laundry.

• 1:30–2:15 pm • "Teen Titans Go!" Signing: DC Entertainment Booth #801

SUNDAY, MARCH 31

• "Arrow" Special Video Presentation and Q&A — Join series stars Stephen Amell ("Private Practice"), Colin Donnell ("Pan Am"), Willa Holland ("The O.C.") and Paul Blackthorne ("The River"), along with executive producers Marc Guggenheim (Green Lantern) and Andrew Kreisberg ("Fringe") of the hit DC Comics adaptation Arrow for exclusive video footage and a Q&A panel that goes beneath the hood!

• 2:15–3:00 p.m. • "Arrow" Signing: DC Entertainment Booth #801

Who Are The Guardians of the Galaxy? - Video Breakdown

James Gunn and Marvel are currently prepping up to shoot their Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Not a lot of the general movie goers out there really know that much about this comic or the characters that fill this part of the Marvel universe. Those characters include Star-Lord who is going to be played by Chris Pratt, Rocket Racoon, Drax the Destroyer, Gamora, and Groot. At one point it looked like Jason Mamoa was going to play Drax, but that fell apart.

For those of you who still don't really know that much about the Guardians of the Galaxy, IGN has put together a nice little breakdown that fills you on some of the main points of who these characters are and the part they play in the Marvel universe. Check it out!

Guardians of the Galaxy will be more of a stand alone film, and it follows a U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants. Star-Lord is the pilot and leader of the space superhero team in the film. He's also the offspring of a human mother and an alien father.

The movie comes out on August 1st, 2014, and I have no doubt that Marvel movie fans are going to embrace the awesomeness!

Age of Ultron #1 Review

Talk about a downer. Not even the Age of Apocalypse (which wasn't exactly cheery) carried the weight of despair that Age of Ultron lives under.  In AoA you at least got a sense that these characters were still fighting back. Not here Sam (not sure who Sam is, just felt like saying it). Everyone is in pure survival mode, and it seems that our heroes are in as much shock about what has happened as the readers are, and that doesn't bode well.

In a recent interview writer Brian Michael Bendis said Age of Ultron is less concerned with how it happened then what happens now, and he definitely delivers on that promise in issue 1. No real insight is given as to how Ultron came to power so quickly, but from the looks of it whatever did happen seems to have taken the fight out of everyone, at least except Hawkeye. The man with the arrows gets a huge spotlight here, and shows exactly why he is an Avenger (not that anyone was questioning that of course, but reminders are always good).

The action is beautifully illustrated by Bryan Hitch, giving an immense sense of scale (Ultron's floating city/ship hovers over what's left of New York) and conveying just how bad things really are. Hitch's style fits the book perfectly, and while he won't be illustrating the whole series (just the first five issues), I'm looking forward to seeing more from him.

As for the writing Bendis shows just how tense things are amongst the heroes that are left, and gives some subtle hints about where certain characters are and how things got here, but again, it isn't the focus. You won't find any huge pages of exposition here on "well this is how it all went wrong". The most telling piece of dialogue comes from Hawkeye, and I think it sums up this issue best.

And I'm not going to let what happened change the value of MY life.

And SHAME on the rest of you,

Shame on you for GIVING UP.

I can't remember a story where these characters looked more defeated, perfectly illustrated on the last page.

We've seen them at their lowest, now let's see if they can get back up.

WWE's Dave Bautista will be Drax in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY

Marvel and director James Gunn have found their Drax the Destroyer for Guardians of the Galaxy! Mixed martial artist and WWE wrestler Dave Bautista will be taking on the role.

At one point it looked like Jason Momoa was going to get the role, but for one reason or another it didn't work out. Bautista is the second official actor to join the cast. Chris Pratt was previously cast as the main character Star-Lord. Bautista has been in other films such as The Man With The Iron Fists and the upcoming Vin Diesel film Riddick

Drax is a former saxophonist named Arthur Sampson Douglas whose family was killed by the Titanian Eternal Thanos while driving across the Mojave Desert. A character named Kronos recovered Douglas' astral form and used it to create a superhuman warrior for the purpose of defeating Thanos. His powers include flight, super-strength and energy blasts.

Other characters that have yet to be cast include Groot, a giant tree-man; Rocket Raccoon, a genetically engineered animal with a knack for guns and explosives; and Gamora, the last survivor of her species who was saved by Thanos to be his assassin but ends up fighting against him.

I imagine Bautista will get a CGI facelift, but he should be good in the role.

Disney has released their first official Star Wars poster since they bought Lucasfilm! The poster is promoting Star Wars Weekends at Disney World in 2013, and it's a parody of Return of the Jedi

This year there will be guest appearances from Ray Park (Darth Maul) and Warwick Davis (everyone's favorite Ewok, Wicket). I've never been to Star Wars weekends, but I'd love to go one day!

New Trailer for the Terrible Looking SCARY MOVIE 5

Another terrible trailer has been released for the awful looking comedy parody horror film Scary Movie 5. There's surprisingly an audience out there for movies like this, which is why we see so many of these stupid-ass movies. Anyway if you want to see how bad this movie looks go ahead and watch the trailer, or don't watch it... I don't care!

A couple begin to experience some unusual activity after bringing their newborn son home from the hospital. With the help of home-surveillance cameras and a team of experts, they learn they're being stalked by a nefarious demon.

The movie comes out on April 12th, blah... blah... blah. Don't waste your money.

New Clip From the Sci-Fi Thriller THE HOST

Here's a new clip from director Andrew Niccol's sci-fi alien thriller The Host, which stars Saoirse Ronan (Hanna), Max Irons, Jake Abel, Diane Kruger, William Hurt, and Frances Fisher. Sometimes I hate film clips. If the studio is going to release a short clip, at least give us something that will make the movie look good, otherwise what's the point of releasing a clip? They should want to sell you on the film not scare you away.

From Stephenie Meyer (author of The Twilight Saga) comes The Host, a love story set in the future, where Earth is occupied by a species who erase the minds of their human hosts, leaving their bodies intact. Melanie Stryder (Saoirse Ronan) is one of the last surviving humans who fights back, risking her life for the people she cares about most – Jared (Max Irons), Ian (Jake Abel), her brother Jamie (Chandler Canterbury) and her Uncle Jeb (William Hurt) – proving that love can conquer all.

The movie is set to be released on March 29th, 2013. The clip feature two humans who find each other in a world full of alien hosts.

Kevin Eastman Talks Awesomeness of New NINJA TURTLES Film

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles co-creators Peter Laid and Kevin Eastman both have a very different point of view on this new Ninja Turtle movie being made by producer Michael Bay and director Jonathan Liebesman. Laird seems to not really care for it, and recently expressed his disappointment in casting Megan Fox as April O'Neil. Eastman on the other hand seems to be very enthusiastic about it, saying nothing but good things. In a recent interview with Comic Book Resources, he excitedly talks about the film saying,

One of the things that's awesome about the relationship I've had with Platinum Dunes and Michael Bay and Jonathan Liebesman and some of the producers, Scott Mednick and Galen Walker on the series, is that It's probably amusing to a lot of people what the press puts out there and what they say people behind the scenes really want to do with the movie, but [Platinum Dunes'] main goal is actually to make the best possible "Turtles" movie with respect to the fans and the core audience as possible. We've learned from movies like "The Avengers," which to me was a superhero movie so good to me personally that I practically wept. It was perfect, you know what I mean? That's the stuff that I grew up on. Joss Whedon just knocked it out of the park, the whole team did, and that includes choreographing all the interlocking movies. From everything that I've seen in the ["TMNT"] script and the development and everything they've asked my input on specifically, it's gonna be an awesome, familiar, solid "Turtles" movie. It'll have everything that fans are gonna want and then some.

I really do hope and want this movie to end up being as good as he says it is. I'm rooting for a great action film that Ninja Turtles fans are going to love! Hopefully they can pull it off. As a fan of the franchise, it's hard not to be excited to see how it turns out.

Jai Courtney Cast in Sci-Fi Thriller DIVERGENT

A Good Day to Die Hard co-star Jai Courtney has joined Shailene Woodley (Amazing Spider-Man 2) in Summit Entertainment's upcoming sci-fi thriller called Divergent. We also previously heard that Kate Winslet was in talks to join the film as well, I'm just not sure if that's been solidified or not.

The studio has set The Illusionist and Limitless director Neil Burger to helm the movie which is based on the novel by Veronica Roth. The story has been likened to The Hunger Games as it features teen on teen violence. It centers on a 16-year-old girl named Beatrice Prior, who lives in a world where society is divided into five factions that each represent a particular virtue or personality: honesty, selflessness, bravery, peacefulness and intelligence. "Woodley plays the young protagonist, who is classified a 'divergent,' and told she will never fit into any specific group. She uncovers a conspiracy to destroy all 'divergents,' and must find out why others like her are considered so dangerous."

There's no word on who Courtney plays in the film, but it sounds like it could be a solidl film. Summit plans on releasing it on March 21st, 2014. This is the first book in a trilogy that's been planned, and here's the description:

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her

Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis to Reunite for ONE NIGHT ON THE HUDSON

Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis are set to star in the thriller One Night On the Hudson with Seth Gordon set to direct. This will be the first thriller for all three, although Day is set to star in the sci-fi film Pacific Rim, which comes out this summer.

The story revolves around a by-the-books rookie cop on his first night on the job and his jaded veteran partner. The pair are tasked with transporting a federal witness from New Jersey to Manhattan. The only things standing between them: dirty cops, dirty criminals, and the Hudson River.

I am pretty psyched for this... all three have previously worked together on Horrible Bosses and are set to reteam for the sequel. So we know they have great chemistry.

Are you excited to see these stars branch out, or do you think it will be a disastrous affair?

Olivia Wilde on What She'd Like to See in TRON 3

I for one love the Tron franchise; I enjoyed Tron: Legacy and I'm really excited to see a third film! Disney and director Joseph Kosinski can really do some fun things with this world! The last few things we heard about this project is that Jesse Wigutow was writing the script, Garrett Hedlund confirmed he would be reprising his role as Sam Flynn, Disney was very excited about doing it, and the director revealed that they would be completely redesigning the world of Tron. These are all great things to look forward to. Here's what else Kosinski had to say,

The idea itself, the notion of what the next Tron could be, is exciting enough that it would be worth going back to do it. Obviously we hinted some things at the end of Legacy, it’s kind of there for people to see what that potential is. So we just want to make sure that we have a script that delivers on that promise on an epic scale.

I’ve said it would have to be our Empire Strikes Back for me to come back and for me to pull the whole team back together. I think we do have that idea. We do have the idea that feels big and really blows the doors off this franchise. It’s hinted at promises of something for two movies now, for thirty years, so it’s time to deliver on that.

Hopefully they're able to develop an incredible script this time around. In a recent interview with HitFix, Olivia Wilde, who plays Quorra in the movie, discusses what she would like to see in the next film. Check out the video below to see what she says! Is a third Tron movie something you're excited to see happen?

The Wachowskis' JUPITER ASCENDING Release Date

Warner Bros. has announced that they'll be releasing Andy and Lana Wachowski's crazy new sci-fi film Jupiter Ascending on July 25th, 2014.

The film stars Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Eddie Redmayne, Sean Bean, Douglas Booth, and Tuppence Middleton. The story focuses on higher forms of life who are watching us from other worlds where humans are at the bottom of the evolutionary ladder. The story follows a woman (Kunis) who has been targeted for assassination by the queen of the universe because she possesses the same perfect genetic makeup as the Queen, and that makes her a threat. It's basically a big sci-fi retelling of Snow White.

The studio has also moved Peter Segal's cool sounding boxing comedy Grudge Match with Sylvester Stallone and Robert DeNiro from November 15th, 2013 to January 10th, 2014.

The date puts Jupiter Ascending up against Dwayne Johnson and Brett Ratner's Hercules, which is now doomed to fail.

Tom Hooper to Direct FREDDIE MERCURY Biopic?

$

0

It looks like the Oscar nominated Les Miserables director Tom Hooper could end up directing Sacha Baron Cohen in the biopic based on Queen frontman Freddie Mercury that was announced a couple of years ago.

Hooper and Cohen recently worked together on Les Mis, and I guess they enjoyed working together. The script for the film was written by Peter Morgan (Frost/NixonThe QueenThe Last King of Scotland). Deadline says that no formal offer has been made to Hooper yet, who has got a ton of other projects he could choose from.

The film will focus on the band's formative years, leading up to Queen’s appearance at Live Aid in 1985. Producer Graham King had this to say in previous statement,

Queen is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and a music brand all unto itself. Freddie Mercury was an awe-inspiring performer, so with Sacha in the starring role coupled with Peter’s screenplay and the support of Queen, we have the perfect combination to tell the real story behind their success.

This sounds like it could end up being a great film, and Hooper is the perfect director to bring it to life, so I hope he ends up landing the gig. Mercury died November 24, 1991 of complications from AIDS, but that won't be the subject of the film.

What do you think of Hooper possibly taking on this film project?

We've got a set of new Man of Steel photo scans to share with you from the latest issue of Total Film magazine featuring Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, and a couple of behind the scenes photos with director Zack Snyder.

The movie is set to open up this summer, so we should start seeing more stuff being released for the movie soon. We've heard so many good things about Man of Steel that I can't wait to see it for myself! I hope it turns out to be as epic as I am thinking it will be! We've only got a few more months! It comes out on June 14th, 2013!

In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Henry Cavill) is a young twenty-something journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond his imagination. Transported years ago to Earth from Krypton, a highly advanced, distant planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question 'Why am I here?' Shaped by the values of his adoptive parents Martha (Diane Lane) and Jonathan Kent (Kevin Costner), Clark discovers having extraordinary abilities means making difficult decisions. When the world is in dire need of stability, an even greater threat emerges. Clark must become a Man of Steel, to protect the people he loves and shine as the world’s beacon of hope – Superman.

Joss Whedon Discusses Why He Won't Kickstart FIREFLY

$

This was a great week for Veronica Mars fans! Creator Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell managed to raise over $2 million to get the film project greenlit, and a movie is coming! This got a lot of people thinking, and it's safe to say that we're going to start seeing more and more fan funded film projects get kickstarted like this. Unfortunately Joss Whedon's Firefly won't be one of them. When asked in a recent interview with BuzzFeed what this means for Firefly the director responded,

That's what everybody wants to know about. Uh, yeah. My fourth feeling when I read about [the Veronica Mars Kickstarter campaign] was a kind of dread. Because I realized the only thing that would be on everybody's mind right now. I've said repeatedly that I would love to make another movie with these guys, and that remains the case. It also remains the case that I'm booked up by Marvel for the next three years, and that I haven't even been able to get Dr. Horrible 2 off the ground because of that. So I don't even entertain the notion of entertaining the notion of doing this, and won't. Couple years from now, when Nathan [Fillion]'s no longer [on] Castle and I'm no longer the Tom Hagen of the Marvel Universe and making a giant movie, we might look and see where the market is then. But right now, it's a complete non-Kickstarter for me.

This makes sense. Whedon would need a much bigger budget than what Veronica Mars needs, and Joss Whedon has become a much more successful and establihed filmmaker. When he gets around to wanting to make his new Firefly movie, I bet he could get the studio backing to do it. When asked about the budget he explained,

Yes. We come to Veronica Mars to hear her talk and hear her father talk. But Firefly/Serenity, it's kind of a different animal — and then there's also the question of what kind of animal it is. Because some people are talking about Firefly episodes. Some people are talking about [a new] Serenity. I think anything we could get off the ground would be appreciated by the fans. But what form it would take is I think under some debate.

For me, [Kickstarter] doesn't just open the floodgates. God knows, things are cheaper now than when we made even Serenity. Good effects can be done in a different manner. Nor is that universe all about spectacle either. But it is a tad more expensive — and a little all-consuming! And of course, there's the other fear: What if it's not that good? I can do something that's not that good — that's fine. But if I do that and it's not that good, I'm going to feel really stupid.

Because I'm too busy to deal with it, I did have a moment of just, "Oh my god! I'm in trouble now." I've always said, "Yes, I'd love to do another one," and it's still true. But I sort of got slapped in the face with it. Or probably will.

I hope that one day we do see the return of Firefly, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen anytime soon. In the meantime we just have to be patient and keep our hope alive that it will eventually happen.

Will Christian Bale Play Moses in Ridley Scott's EXODUS?

$

It looks like FOX is gearing up to get Ridley Scott's Moses movie Exodus into production as soon as they can. According to Deadline the studio and director are looking to get Christian Bale on board to play the legendary prophet. It's not set in stone, but it sounds like they'll take him if they can get him.

Scott is looking to jump on the project as soon as he's finished with The Counselor. The original script for the film was written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage, and a rewrite was just completed by Steve Zaillian. The script has the studio excited to get rolling.

There's no details on what part of the biblical story the film will focus on, but I imagine it will be the big epic part of him freeing his people from bondage. Scott is the perfect director for this, I love the period epics that he's made like Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. From those I can imagine the look and feel or what we'll see in Exodus.

As for Bale playing Moses, I think he'd be awesome! He's got the look of a biblical prophet, and has got a solid booming voice. At one point he was up for the part of Noah in Darren Aronofsky's Bible film, so this is the actor's second chance at getting to play a prophet of God. I hope he takes it!
