Fun Trailer For The New Comedy 21 & OVER

$

Relativity Media has released a fun new trailer for the new raunchy R-rated comedy 21 & Over, which follows a student whose two friends take him out on on a night on the town before his big medical school exam. The movie was directed by The Hangover writers Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. They also wrote the script for the film, which stars Justin Chon, Skylar Astin, and Miles Teller. It looks like it could be an entertaining flick, and the trailer has some funny moments that you might enjoy.

Straight-A college student Jeff Chang has always done what’s expected of him. But when his two best friends Casey and Miller surprise him with a visit for his 21st birthday, he decides to do the unexpected for a change, even though his critical medical school interview is early the next morning. What was supposed to be one beer becomes one night of chaos, over indulgence and utter debauchery in this outrageous comedy.

The movie hits theaters on March 1st. Check out the trailer and let us know if you'll be checking it out! Hopefully the bast parts of the film aren't in the trailer.

"Their world returns to ours."

Damn HBO! You really do like to tease the fans don't you? This newest promo teaser shows no actual footage from the show. In fact, it's set in the modern day! It's not my favorite promo trailer in the world, but that's what we've got right now. The series returns on Sunday, March 31st at 9pm. Watch the teaser and let us know what you think of it.

Summers span decades. Winters can last a lifetime. And the struggle for the Iron Throne has begun. It will stretch from the south, where heat breeds plots, lust and intrigues; to the vast and savage eastern lands; all the way to the frozen north, where an 800-foot wall of ice protects the kingdom from the dark forces that lie beyond. Kings and queens, knights and renegades, liars, lords and honest men...all will play the 'Game of Thrones.'

Behind The Visual Effects Magic of THE AVENGERS

Industrial Light and Magic has released a great behind the scenes video for the special effects they worked on for The Avengers. Great special effects still amaze me, and it's exciting to see how much more awesome they're going to get as the technology gets better.

We are proud to present this video which showcases some of ILM's Oscar nominated effects work for the 2012 hit film, Marvel's The Avengers. This reel represents a small fraction of the work created by over 200 ILM artists, scientists, and engineers backed up by a world class production team.

The stop motion animations which open and close the reel were done the old fashioned way - by hand, one frame at a time. They were crafted by ILM's stop motion guru, Erik Dillinger specifically for this reel.

There's a lot of great stuff included in the video, and it shows how much detail and care they put into bringing these effects to life. I'm sure many of you are going to enjoy watching this!

Here's a great set of fan art created by Giovanni Costa that reimagines the characters and world of Batman as a spaghetti western. These designs are incredibly cool, and I'd love to see some action scenes created with these characters.

Here's a hilariously creepy video montage of make-up, hair and costume test footage from Star Trek: The Next Generation. What makes this video so great is the bizarre musical accompaniment added as it plays to members of the cast standing around silently, slightly turning their heads, and making eerie empty facial expressions at the camera. Then there's Wil Wheaton who looks like a young serial killer, LeVar Burton sporting an insane hairstyle and mustache, and then there's a couple of old men playing with Jonathan Frakes' hair. It's all just ridiculously entertaining, enjoy!

3 New Teaser Trailers for BATES MOTEL

A&E has released three short teaser trailers for their upcoming new psychological thriller Bates Motel. They give us a little insight into the kind of weird dark and twisted vibe this show is going to have.

The series comes from executive producers Carlton Cuse (Lost) and Kerry Ehrin (Friday Night Lights). It's a contemporary prequel to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, and promises to give viewers an intimate portrayal of how Norman Bates' insanity unravels through his teenage years.

In "Bates Motel," following the tragic death of her husband, Norma Bates buys a motel on the outskirts of the idyllic coastal town of White Pine Bay, seeking a fresh start. As Norma and Norman get ensconced in their new home, they discover this town isn't quite what it seems, and the locals aren't so quick to let them in on their secrets. But the Bates' are done being pushed around and will do whatever it takes to survive - and will do whatever it takes to protect their own secrets.

The cast of Bates Motel includes Freddie Highmore (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory) as Norman Bates, Vera Farmiga as Norma Bates, and Max Thieriot as Norman’s older brother, Dylan. Supporting cast members include Mike Vogel, Nestor Carbonell, Nicola Peltz, and Olivia Cooke.

The show is set to premiere Monday, March 18th at 10pm.

Badass Concept Art for THE AVENGERS and GREEN LANTERN

Here's an awesome collection of new concept art for films such as The Avengers, Green Lantern and some other character and costume designs for X-Men: First Class. The coolest art in the set though is some awesome keyframes for The Avengers from concept artist Rodney Fuentebella. I'm not really a big fan of the X-Men: First Class art from artist Thomas Whitehouse - those costume designs are pretty bad. Then artist Steffen Reichstadt released a few different versions of Stel, the Grendan Green Lantern. Look over the concept art and let us know what you think!

The cast of How I Met Your Mother showed up on the "Megan Mullally Show" recently for an interview, and the conversation turned to Les Miserables. Neil Patrick Harris revealed that it was the first big musical he saw, and it lead to he and Jason Segel singing "The Confrontation" song. It actually turned out pretty cool, check it out!

Christopher Walken Wants to Clone Jesus in THE POWER OF FEW - Trailer

I'm not sure what in the hell is going on in this trailer for The Power of Few, but one thing I do know is that Christopher Walken wants to clone Jesus. This is such a crazy weird trailer, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a drama or a comedy, or what, but it's some kind of crime thriller.

Synopsis:

Spies, cops, holy fools and well-armed children cross paths on a day of danger, mystery and possible transformation. "The Power of Few" unfolds through the lives of five unusual characters who unknowingly are connected to an extraordinary smuggling operation on a day when religious conspiracy and urban crime collide.

This doesn't even seem like a movie! But, it is, and it was directed by Leone Marucci. It also has an impressive cast of actors that includes Christian Slater, Anthony Anderson, Jesse Bradford, Q'orianka Kilcher, Moon Bloodgood, Nicky Whelan, Navid Negahban, Juvenile, and Jordan Prentice

The only interest I have in the movie is the strange hobo character that Walken plays in it. Check out the trailer for yourself and tell us what you think!

JURASSIC PARK 4 Has A Release Date!

We've been hearing about a fourth Jurassic Park film for years, and it looks like it's actually going to happen! Universal Pictures is planning to release it on June 13th, 2014. Steven Spielberg will be producing the film, but not directing. As of right now there's no director attached to the project.

The movie will be shot in 3D and is based on the script recently written by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver (Rise of the Planet of the Apes), who turned in a script for the film this week. I guess everyone involved liked what they read. As of right now there's no details on the script, but you can count on seeing a deadly dinosaur adventure.

This is a fun franchise, and I'm looking forward to seeing what's in store for us next! The original movie is set to be re-released in 3D and IMAX on April 5th.

Trailer for Werner Herzog's Siberian Doc HAPPY PEOPLE

I don't know about you, but I love listening to Werner Herzog narrate the documentaries that he makes. We've got the first trailer for the next doc that he wrote and directed called Happy People: A Year in the Taiga. It's packed full of some amazingly beautiful visuals. Here's the synopsis...

With HAPPY PEOPLE, Werner Herzog takes viewers on yet another unforgettable journey into remote and extreme natural landscapes. The acclaimed filmmaker presents this visually stunning documentary about the life of indigenous people living in the heart of the Siberian Taiga.

Deep in the Siberian wilderness, far away from civilization, 300 people inhabit the small village of Bakhta at the river Yenisei. There are only two ways to reach this outpost: by helicopter or boat. There‘s no telephone, running water or medical aid. The locals, whose daily routines have barely changed over the last centuries, live according to their own values and cultural traditions. Withinsightful commentary written and narrated by Herzog, HAPPY PEOPLE follows one of the Siberian trappers through all four seasons of the year to tell the story of a culture virtually untouched by modernity.

The movie is supposed to be released later this year. Herzog recently played the villain in Jack Reacher, and some of his previous docs include On Death Row, Into the Abyss, Encounters at the End of the World, and Grizzly Man. Check out the trailer.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Series Takes Place After THE AVENGERS

If you're interested in the S.H.I.E.L.D. series being developed for ABC, it's safe to assume you're aware of the fate of Agent Phil Coulson in The Avengers. With Clark Gregg reprising his role as the recurring S.H.I.E.L.D. operative from the Marvel films, many assumed that it would be set before the events of The Avengers. But ABC president Paul Lee recently spoke with IGN, and cleared this up by saying that "the story takes place after the battle for New York."

If the series isn't a prequel, then Agent Coulson's resurrection brings up some interesting possibilities. There's been some theories about Coulson's apparent demise leading to a more (super) powerful return for the character. Joss Whedon, who is currently prepping to shoot the pilot episode, has stated that even though the show is "about people who don’t have super powers. There will be some people with powers." Perhaps the resurrected Coulson could have powers??? Either way, it'd be nice for his return to be slowly revealed throughout the show and serve as a major arc for the series.

The post-Avengers timeline also keeps things wide open for the S.H.I.E.L.D. series to stand on its own. Lee added, “This is S.H.I.E.L.D. They’re following their own particular stories. There are characters in it, Coulson, who clearly come from Avengers. So it’s part of the world, but we’re going to be very, very careful that we don’t tread on the toes of the features and build a whole new world. And that’s what Joss Whedon does better than anybody else. He’s built a world for us.”

It's probably safe to assume that this world Whedon has created could serve as a way to introduce other Marvel characters somewhere down the line. But as for now, Lee says, “At this point though, we have a number of characters at the heart of the script who are real characters, who are the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and the first task is to make those guys great and relatable and everything that a great show needs. Beyond that, fingers crossed!”

Even though ABC has a lot of faith in Whedon and the script for S.H.I.E.L.D., it still has to go through all the hoops before officially making its way to our television sets. If it does make it past the pilot, I'll definitely be tuning in for the return of Agent Coulson, and perhaps the whereabouts of his now blood stained Captain America trading cards.

Check Out Pen Ward's More Mature Themed BRAVEST WARRIORS

For those of you who may not know Pendleton Ward, he's the creator and overall mastermind of the hit Cartoon Network show Adventure Time. He also marks a new dawn of cartoonists who create awesome cartoons that are just as entertaining for adults as children. In Adventure Time it's awesome because the jokes are hilarious and most of the time go right over the heads of a younger audience who likes it all the same because the overall silliness of the show. With this show it's a little more racy. Not like over the top obscene but there is some slight cussing. So depending on how cool of a parent you want to be, show children at your own risk.

The rest of the episodes are online and featured as part of Frederator's Cartoon Hangover, which features a who's who of cartoonist creating slightly more mature cartoons in an artful fashion. I love it personally, and it's cool to know these brilliant minds can still find an outlet to reach an older peer group out on the web. Check out the episode and let me know what you think!

SoundTRAX: Nicolas Winding Refn's PUSHER Featuring Orbital

The new episode of SoundTRAX comes with a bit of a learning curve but I can bring you up to speed quickly. Those of you who are fans of Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn will be familiar with his 1996 debut film Pusher, which put him on the map for film audiences outside the Americas. The film (which later went on to become a trilogy) is a cult classic and a very early look at the style Refn would later adapt to his films.

Flash forward to 2012 and Refn is a household name amongst film buffs and has enough money to produce an English reboot of his first film in the style he has been working on since the mid 90's. He also snags British house gods Orbital to bring their signature House style to the film...the end result? Brilliance. Learn more about the film and the awesome soundtrack in this very special episode of SoundTRAX, and check the trailer out as well.

JURASSIC PARK: Jeff Goldblum is Even Funnier Drunk

Jeff Goldblum is funny, but he's even funnier "drunk," as can be seen in this video from Jurassic Park. The video from ProphetsofAshes takes a clip from the film that goes into super slow-mo whenever Dr. Malcolm starts to talk. It is pretty funny, but also damn creepy.

Great Set of INDIANA JONES Trilogy Poster Art

Check out this incredibly cool set of Indiana Jones poster art featuring the original trilogy. The illustrations were created by Andy Helms. I love this franchise, and the more I think about it the more I wouldn't actually mind seeing a fifth film made somewhere down the line. It probably won't happen, but if it did, it would have to be an awesome story. I'd personally like to see a story made about the legend of the Lost Cave City in the Grand Canyon. There's reports of an Egyptian Tomb found their in 1909, you can read more about it here if you're interested.

PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN 5 is Moving Forward

$

Looks like Disney is looking to move forward on Pirates of the Caribbean 5, and they've just hired Jeff Nathanson to write the script. Nathanson is best known for writing Steven Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can.

According to Variety Johnny Depp is also set to return to reprise his role as Captain Jack Sparrow, and of course Jerry Bruckheimer will be back to produce. There's no word on who else will be back to star in the film, who will direct it, or what it will be about, but it's coming whether you like it or not.

Disney is also currently developing a sequel to Alice in Wonderland, and Depp said he'd be happy to do that as well as long as the material is good.

I still think there's potential in the franchise, but I'm not excited that a fifth film is coming. Hopefully they can make a great movie this time, but until we start hearing and seeing more about it I'll be sitting here in the neutral zone.

Very Weird Trailer For A New Comedy Called SMALL APARTMENTS

Check out this incredibly odd trailer for a crazy new comedy called Small Apartments. For the kind of movie it is, it's got a great cast that includes Matt Lucas, Rebel Wilson, James Marsden, Juno Temple, Billy Crystal, Dolph Lundgren, James Caan, Peter Stormare, Johnny Knoxville, Amanda Plummer, and Saffron Burrows who all play some extremely colorful characters.

I'm not even really sure what to say about this movie. It's just so far out in left field, but it's hard not to find the cast and the characters they play interesting. Here's the synopsis...

When a clumsy deadbeat accidentally kills his landlord, he must do everything in his power to hide the body, only to find that the distractions of lust, the death of his beloved brother, and a crew of misfit characters force him on a journey where a fortune awaits him.

The movie premiered at SXSW last year, and will get a limited theatrical release on February 8th, and will be released a little later on Blu-ray/DVD.
