I've got a radically cool set of Pokemon art that shows a few of the characters with a new metal-armored hybrid look. They were created by Frame Wars, who describe themselves as “a visual arts collective set in the Neo Terra Universe.”

These new Pokemon designs are locked, loaded, and ready for battle with their sweet-ass metal armor and advanced weaponry. Each of the designs come with details and information about each of the characters. Check them all out below!

If you're a fan of Judge Dredd, you've got to check out this new 1/6th scale action figure that comes from 2000 AD and ThreeA Toys.

The figure stands at 12.3 tall and has 29 points of articulation. It comes with two interchangeable faces that consist of the standard scowl and the gritted teeth expressions. There are also four sets of interchangeable hands, as well as guns and ammo.

It's a pretty badass figure. This is the product description from their Facebook page:

Inspired by the art of Brian Bolland, the development team at ThreeA dug through page after glorious page of 2000 AD’s Progs to truly capture the details of Mega City One’s finest. From helmet to uniform, eagle to badge, to the dirt of the Cursed Earth on his boots, and his infamous craggy chin, this is the quintessential Judge Dredd collectible figure.
Judge Dredd comes equipped with an arsenal of weaponry for busting creeps – including both Lawgivers Mk1 and Mk2, Daystick, and the ThreeA designed Lawrod with detachable magazine and shoulder stock. Judge Dredd also features the ability to swap his iconic scowl for a gritted teeth expression for when maximum sentencing is required.

First Look at Martin Freeman in Zombie Survival Drama CARGO

$

Back in 2013, we shared a heartbreaking zombie short film called Cargo. It follows the story of a father who is bitten by a zombie and he sets out on a journey to save his infant daughter from himself before he turns into a zombie and the zombie apocalypse in which they live.

Yolanda Ramke and Ben Howling are the brains being the story and they have adapted their short film into a feature film that stars Martin Freeman (The Hobbit, Sherlock). You can see the first photo of him in the film above. It follows the same story as the short, but the story will be padded with more adventure and drama.

Freeman stars as Andy, a father infected with a killer virus in the  aftermath of a zombie pandemic. Stranded in rural Australia he has a desperate 48 hours to find a new guardian for his infant daughter and a means to protect her from his own changing nature. Salvation may lie with an isolated Aboriginal tribe, but to gain access he must first earn the allegiance of a young Indigenous girl on a tragic quest of her own.

According to THR, Freeman’s agent said that “genre’s not really his thing,” but after reading Ramke’s script, the actor was impacted by the story, and he found it “unexpectedly powerful.” That says a lot about the film.

On the most recent episode of AweMe, Spawn super-fan Matt Stagmer (co-owner of Baltimore Knife and Sword) joined the hosts to make a badass, heavy-duty replica of Spawn's Battle Axe, and this thing turned out to be incredible!

Spawn creator Todd McFarlane even showed up to help in the demonstration of the axe as they swung it at a replica bust filled with blood of the evil clown from the franchise. As you'll see, the axe is heavy and can inflict some serious damage.

For those of you that have issues fighting off vampires during the Halloween season, Doritos has your back. They've released black vampire repellant chips that are garlic flavored. I really would love to try these, unfortunately, they are only available in Japan at the moment. I also included another fun new Halloween-themed Cheetos snack called Bag of Bones.

This Poké Ball Replica Has a Crazy, Awesome, Realistic Look

This is no doubt the most realistic Poké Ball replica I've ever seen. Most of the Poké Ball replicas that I've seen have had a cartoonish look to them. This one shows us what it would look like if it actually existed in real life. It was created by Jasper Hams of MasenkoProps and it even comes with a cool display case that features the logo of Silph Co., which is one of the technology giants of the Pokémon world.

If you want one, you can order it at Jasper's Etsy store for $133.55. They are made to order, so you might have to wait awhile to get it. If you're a hardcore Pokemon fan, though, it looks like it'd be worth it.

Jack Nicholson Inspired Bruce Campbell To Get Stoned While Shooting EVIL DEAD

$

Sam Raimi's Evil Dead is hands down one of the greatest low-budget horror films ever made. It launched a crazy awesome and blood-drenched franchise that fans are still enjoying today. In a recent interview with Conan, Bruce Campbell revealed that he and the cast were inspired by Jack Nicholson to try and shoot the movie while high. The actor explains:

"We did, in fact, smoke marijuana because we had heard, in the famous Jack Nicholson movie Five Easy Pieces -- no, Easy Rider -- that he smoked like 47 joints before he shot that scene. And I thought, if he can go on to become a very famous, notable actor, we can do the same thing. And I had never smoked before. I was 21, and... we also found out that the weed in Tennessee was pretty good, apparently. And so we did not really film the scene successfully."

I think it's hilarious that Campbell thought that if he got as stoned as Jack Nicholson while shooting Evil Dead, he would give an equally as impressive performance. Campbell didn't take certain things into account, though. I'm sure Nicholson had a lot of experience smoking pot prior to starring in Easy Rider, and the pot in Tennessee might have been more potent than the pot Nicholson was smoking.

Regardless of all that, Evil Dead turned out to be one hell of a fun classic horror film.

How The Disney Princesses Celebrate Oktoberfest By The Brews They Drink

If you've ever wondered what kind of beer that the Disney princesses drink, we've got a fun infographic here from PureCostumes that breaks it all down for you. With Oktoberfest upon us, this infographic shows us how the Disney princesses would celebrate it.

Below the infographic you'll find a more detailed breakdown for each of the Disney characters and their brew of choice.

how-the-disney-princesses-celebrate-octoberfest-by-the-brews-they-drink1
Alice – Delirium Tremens
She’s in her own wonderland. Having delusional interactions. Need we say more?
Anna – Glueh Kriek
This cherry ale served hot with spices is sure to thaw out Anna’s frozen heart. It’s just what she needs to get through the cold and save her sister from a desolate life!
Ariel – Corona
She’s found her own beach. And she’s “miles away from ordinary.” No doubt about it; it’s a Corona for this one.
Aurora – Russian River Pliny the Younger
She’ll kick off her shoes and put up her feet with this beer. At 11% abv, it’s no wonder she’s called the Sleeping Beauty.
Belle – Rose Petal Imperial Golden Ale
Is that a rose in my beer? Yes, Belle, it is. And you can touch this one. Someone get her a Rose Petal Imperial Golden Ale.
Cinderella – Leinenkugel’s Harvest Patch Shandy
She rolls in a pumpkin, for god’s sake. We think she’ll like drinking one too. This beer tastes like pumpkin pie and will make her dreams come true.
Elsa – Coors Light
What’s the coldest thing in the world? Elsa is, of course, but so is Coors Light (or so their commercial says). We just know Elsa will feel at home with this beer.
Jasmine – Modern Times Fortunate Island
Whenever Jasmine wants to see a whole new world, we bet she gets wasted on a Modern Times Fortunate Island. Made with lush grapefruit, it’s refreshing, slightly exotic, and very unique. Yes, sounds about right.
Merida – Guinness Irish Stout
We know she’s not exactly from Ireland, but close enough? Besides, she’s unruly and does things her own way. Call her a little princess, and she might just throw her mug at your head!
Mulan – Tsingtao
She loves her country and would do anything for it. So, the only thing she’ll drink is a Tsingtao. Poor girl suffers so much for her homeland.
Pocahontas – Eel River Triple Exultation
It’s all natural and organic, and at 9.7% abv, it’s just what this badass Disney princess needs at the end of a long day. It might kick your butt, but she’ll drink it like water.
Rapunzel – Bud Light
She’s been sheltered all her life, knows nothing, and is like a child. We think she’ll stick with the entry-level Bud Light. Poor thing.
Snow White – Hoegaarden Original White Ale
It’s gotta be a white ale for the fairest of them all. We just know she got drunk off a six-pack of Hoegaarden before she fell into that deep slumber.
Tiana – Heineken
It’s all she can afford right now, but like the beer slogan says, “A better beer deserves a better can.” We think so, too, Tiana, so work hard and earn that better can!
Tinkerbell – Once Upon a Time East India Pale Ale
There’s a thing called the beer fairy (so says Urban Dictionary), but we bet Tinkerbell isn’t it. We just know this magical being ends her night with a nice bottle of Once Upon a Time East India Pale Ale.

R2-D2 Wants To Help Get Your Morning Started as a Coffee Press

r2-d2-wants-to-help-get-your-morning-started-as-a-coffee-press1

If you're a big Star Wars fan and you love drinking coffee, then this R2-D2 coffee press is exactly what you need. Now that I'm looking at it,  I'm surprised it's taken this long for this to exist. I came across it at That's Nerdalicious, who mentioned that the Dexter series intro would have been better with this edited into in it, and now that's all I want to see.

We don't know about you, but we're kind of a mess in the mornings. We get up on the wrong side of the bed literally (what? inside is a side!). We try to brush our teeth with shaving cream, and we put our underwear on backwards. We're basically a hot mess. In slippers. That probably don't match.

Let R2 help you navigate your mornings more successfully with this Star Wars R2-D2 Coffee Press. He's happy to help a human in need. Put your grounds and boiling water in his glass body, brew for a few minutes, plunge, and he'll serve up 32 oz. of piping hot coffee. For folks playing along at home, that's 4 cups, so even if your motivator is so bad that the Jawas put you back on the scrap heap, he can still get you going.

If you want one, it'll only cost you $39.99 at ThinkGeek.

Create Your Own Mini Arcade with These Classic Arcade Machine Replicas

create-your-own-mini-arcade-with-these-classic-arcade-machine-replicas

NAMCO has created a collection of mini classic arcade machine replicas for some of our favorite arcade games that we played when we were growing up. The reproductions are 1/12 scale in size, so you could create your own mini arcade for your action figures!

Using the original designs of the arcade machines the shape and size together with the placement of the joysticks and buttons and even the artwork have all been miniaturized as faithfully as possible!

The detail on these things is pretty cool and they did a create job in recreating the mini versions of these game. They aren't playable, but their still pretty rad.

There are only five available right now that consist of Pac Man, Tank Battalion, Galaga, Galaxian, and Rally-X. I'm sure they will release more arcade game titles over time.

First Trailer and Poster for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES

first-trailer-and-poster-for-pirates-of-the-caribbean-dead-men-tell-no-tales

Disney has released the first trailer for Johnny Depp's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales. It debuted during the season finale of AMC's Fear The Walking Dead. For those of you who don't watch the crappy Walking Dead spinoff series, you can watch the trailer below, and it looks like it could be a fun flick! I thought it was an interesting choice not to include Captain Jack Sparrow in this first trailer because the series kind of revolves around him. However, it does feature Javier Bardem’s Captain Salazar, who is on the hunt for Sparrow.

I'm actually excited about seeing Dead Men Tell No Tales, mostly because it is being directed by Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rønning (Kon-Tiki). Those guys have shown they have some major talent, and it looks like they brought it with them when they made this fifth installment of a franchise that was getting tired and old. The script for the film was written by Jeff Nathanson (Catch Me If You Can, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull).

Depp is joined by Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa, Kevin R. McNally as Joshamee Gibbs, and Stephen Graham as Scrum. Newcomers include Kaya Scodelario (The Maze Runner), Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent), and Golshifteh Farahani (Exodus: Gods and Kings).

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales hits theaters on May 26th, 2017.

ARCHER Will Come to an End After Season 10

Last week we learned that Adventure Time will be ending after its ninth season in 2018. Today we have sad news for another animated fan favorite that will be coming to a close. FX's animated spy comedy Archer is set to end after season ten. We've still got three seasons to go, but each season will only have eight episodes.

The news comes from Archer creator Adam Reed, who also provides that voice of the character Ray Gillette. He shared the news on a recent episode of the Murmur podcast:

"The plan is to end Archer after season 10. I don’t know that anybody has talked about that, but that is definitely my plan – to do 8, 9, and 10 and they’re gonna be each shorter seasons of just eight episodes – and then wind it up. … I was gonna end it after 8, but then I had sort of a brain explosion of a way that I could do three more seasons and really keep my interest up. So the three seasons that are coming up are gonna be pretty different from what has come before, and they’re gonna be different from each other."

It good to know that there's a plan in place to bring the series to the end, which tells me it's going to end on a high note. I'm sure it will leave fans wanting more, but I can't help but think that the creator will satisfy the needs of the fans.

I love that he plans on bringing something different to the series from anything that we've seen in the series before. I'm curious to see what that ends up being. It seems like the last three seasons are going to keep us on our toes.

HBO Wants a GAME OF THRONES Spinoff, They Just Need to Find the Right Take

We only have two more shortened seasons of Game of Thrones left before this story ends, but HBO is hoping to continue the franchise with a spinoff series. Personally, I just wish they would let the series end, but the cable network is currently exploring ways to keep it going.

If they did move forward with a new series, it most likely won't center on any of the characters from the current series, but it will take place in the world of Westeros. When talking to THR, HBO programming president Casey Bloys said:

"There are so many properties and areas to go to. For us, it's about finding the right take with the right writer.
"There are things that sound interesting, but at this point, we have no writers assigned or anything like that. In a perfect world, Game of Thrones would keep going, and we wouldn't have to deal with any of this!"

Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have already said that they aren't interested in working on another GOT series. In a previous interview they explained:

“You might want to ask George about that...It’s a great world that George created. It’s a very rich world. I’m sure there will be other series set in Westeros. But for us, this is it.”

When creator George R.R. Martin was asked about it, this is what he had to say:

"I do have thousands of pages of fake history of everything that led up to Game of Thrones. There’s a wealth of material there, and I’m still writing more....At the moment, we still have this show to finish, and I still have two more books to finish.”

Bloys seems to be optimistic that Benioff and Weiss could change their minds when they are finished with this iteration of GOT. He says:

"You're getting them right when they're about to embark on production. It's a big, big commitment for them, not just their creative force, but also their family life. They're gone for months at a time. So it's a big, big thing. But should we find a property that makes sense as a spinoff or a prequel — whatever you want to say — I would not expect them to do it, because they're going to need to decompress for a good amount of time, but it would certainly be nice to have their involvement in some way. At what level? I have no idea."

I'm sure it wouldn't hurt if HBO offered them a shit-ton of money to do a spinoff series. It's still too early to tell what will happen with the franchise at this point. HBO is obviously going to push for some kind of spinoff to happen, and they have a couple of years to figure out it out. If they do come up with an idea that they decide to move forward with, I hope it turns out to be awesome.

DREDD Gets a Netflix-Style Opening Credits Sequence

It would be so awesome to see Karl Urban continue his role as Judge Dredd in a Netflix series. The actor has talked about it in the past, and at one point he said conversations were even happening about it. I hope it happens one day, but I doubt it will happen anytime soon. There haven't been any updates in awhile.

While we wait to see if anything happens, I've got a cool video created by Oliver Hollingdale that gives us a look at what the opening credits for a Netflix Dredd series might look like. As you'll see, it turned out pretty well.

STRANGER THINGS Star Noah Schnapps on Season Two and the Possibility of Will Turning Evil

We really have no solid idea of what to expect from the second season of Stranger Things, but it doesn't mean the actors don't have their own theories. In a recent interview with THR, Noah Schnapps, the actor who plays Will, talked about his experience working on the series and what he thinks will happen with his character in season two.

"I don't know. But my guess is that maybe he's going to become evil in the next season. If he's coughing up these baby Demogorgons, or eggs, or something, maybe he's incubating or holding these eggs inside of him and he's trying to fight his good side against his bad side in the next season. That would be cool to see, to see him become evil.
"I mean, there are so many ways Will can go in the next season with how they set it up. But honestly, any way would be pretty cool. But it would be pretty cool to play an evil Will."

He's obviously hoping that Will turns to the dark side, and it looks like it possibly could go in that direction. Something is obviously not right with Will, and whatever it is, he's holding it in. As you know, after he vomits up that nasty monster slug he sits down to dinner and doesn't say a word about it. About theta scene Schnapps said:

"When I was filming the scene, I was so angry. I wanted Will to tell Joyce so badly! I wanted to see what she would say after. But he hid it from her. So I had to play it like I'm keeping it to myself, where I'm trying to hold it in, where I'm very scared, and I don't know what's going on."

It would be really interesting to see evil Will because he's such a nice kid! The actor explained that Will is the heart of the group and seeing the heart of the group going bad could be a fun dynamic to play with.

"I think out of the whole group, Will is the heart. He's the nice one. Obviously, they're all nice, but Will is the one who cares for all of them. He holds them all together, that big, long-lasting friendship, because he's so sweet and so easy to talk to."

Schnapps also talked about what he thinks Will is going through right now after everything he had gone through:

"I think Will's mind is going crazy right now. So much has happened. He's seen this crazy monster. He's been in another dimension. He's seen this other world. He's probably thinking: 'What is happening with me?' When he comes back, I think he's trying to fit in and act normal. But he's trying to hide what's actually happening to him."

We'll just have to wait and find out what is happening to him when seasontwo rolls around. The young actor went on to say that even though we don't see Will and Eleven meet in the first season, he thinks maybe they have, explaining:

"Well, I actually think they did meet. In one of the episodes, Eleven sees a picture of me, and she points at it and says, 'Will.' So I think maybe one time... maybe I didn't meet her, but maybe she saw me somewhere. So I'm excited to see if Eleven meets Will in the next season, what would happen there?"

This is a really fun interview, and I suggest you read the rest of it. What I've posted here is really just a sliver of it, and he talked about so much more stuff, including landing the role and what it was like shooting the series. One of the things he revealed is how he was really genuinely terrified when he picked up the phone to hear the Demogorgon roar on the other end because he didn't know that there was a speaker that was really going to play the sound.

"When I had to pick up the phone, there was a speaker that I didn't even see, and it played the Demogorgon noise — that roar. I freaked out. It scared me so much. It actually felt so real, that I was really so scared."

So that fear we see on his face onscreen is real. It sounds like it would have been an incredibly fun set to work on!
