Here's a scan for the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly showing off Ben Kingsley as The Madarin sporting the Ten Rings in Iron Man 3. Marvel President Kevin Feige confirmed with the magazine that the alien subplot for Ten Rings was dropped but that they will obviously "still be the source of his power.”

With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Jessica Brown Findlay the Frontrunner for Female Lead in CAPTAIN AMERICA 2

It looks like Downton Abbey actress Jessica Brown Findlay is the frontrunner for the lead female role in Marvels Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The news comes from Daily Express who says,

Jessica, 23, is the frontrunner to play the love interest in the next in the series of Marvel Comics films that have been international box office smashes.

She is available for the movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier...

It was previously reported that she is up against a few other actresses that includes Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Teresa Palmer (Warm Bodies), Alison Brie (Community) and Imogen Poots (Fright Night). But, according to this report Findlay might just end up being the one that gets it.

We assume the lead female character in the film will be Sharon Carter, the niece of Margaret "Peggy" Carter who was played by Hayley Atwell in the first Captain America film. Sharon is one of the love interests for Steve Rogers in the comics.

I've never watched Downton Abbey, but I've heard it's a great show. Maybe one day I'll end up watching it, but today is not that day. What do you all think about Findlay possibly being cast in the role of Carter in the film?

Rad GHOSTBUSTERS Art from Kizer Stone

I've been a fan of Ghostbusters since I first saw it in 1984. It's crazy to think how much I still love watching this movie after having watched it countless times over the years. It's also cool that my kids enjoy it just as much as I did.

Here's a awesome illustration called Who Yah Gonna call! featuring the four main characters of the film brandishing guns that match their personalities. It was created by Kizer Stone, and here's what he had to say...

Been a fan of these Ghostbusting dudes for a long while and thought it was finally time I drew them up.

So I was thinking that they all needed guns that matched there personality. Now I wanted to keep the abnormal look of the proton gun but make them look them somewhat like existing guns.

so...

-Winstin ....Mini Gun action,

-Peter Venkman....Pistol Packer,

-Egon...Sniper precision.

-Ray... shotgun shooter.

So that something weird in your neighborhood better watch the f... out!

Here's the latest poster for Texas Chainsaw 3D featuring Letherface pointing a chainsaw at your face. The poster obviously plays on the 3D angle of the movie. I really want this movie to be good, but the trailer didn't show me anything we haven't already seen before.

Several of the original cast members from the first movie have returned for this one including John Dugan who will reprise his role as Grandfather, Marilyn Burns, Bill Moseley and Gunnar Hansen. It also stars Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Sue Rock, Scott EastwoodTrey Songz, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry, Paul Rae and Richard Riehle.

The movie comes out on January 4th, 2013. To watch the trailer Click Here!

Here's the Synopsis:

Lionsgate's TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D continues the legendary story of the homicidal Sawyer family, picking up where Tobe Hooper's 1974 horror classic left off in Newt, Texas, where for decades people went missing without a trace. The townspeople long suspected the Sawyer family, owners of a local barbeque pit, were somehow responsible. Their suspicions were finally confirmed one hot summer day when a young woman escaped the Sawyer house following the brutal murders of her four friends. Word around the small town quickly spread, and a vigilante mob of enraged locals surrounded the Sawyer stronghold, burning it to the ground and killing every last member of the family--or so they thought. Decades later and hundreds of miles away from the original massacre, a young woman named Heather learns that she has inherited a Texas estate from a grandmother she never knew she had. After embarking on a road trip with friends to uncover her roots, she finds she is the sole owner of a lavish, isolated Victorian mansion. But her newfound wealth comes at a price as she stumbles upon a horror that awaits her in the mansion's dank cellars...

We've got a cool Dark Knight Rises fan film to share called Arkham Rising. Tito Guillen wrote and directed the film that shows Bane releasing the prisoners from Black Gate Prison, and also hints at the fate of Joker.

Here is a desciption from YouTube:

Arkham Rising is a fan film set during the events of 2012's most anticipated film, "The Dark Knight Rises."

Following Batman's defeat at the hands of the mercenary known as Bane, Gotham City has fallen into chaos. Criminals have been freed to roam the streets. Gotham City is held hostage as not even the National Guard can find a way to release Gotham from its captors.

Law enforcement has broken down. The guards at Arkham Asylum, hearing the fate of their counterparts at Black Gate Prison, have abandoned their posts. Only the mentally unstable inmates and those foolish enough to try and engage them remain in Arkham now.

Arkham Rising is a fan film meant to answer one of the most asked fan questions at the end of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy and set the stage for a post Dark Knight Rises Gotham. This fan film was created by fans as a tribute to what has been referred to as one of the greatest trilogies in movie history.

Wreck-It Ralph opens up in theaters this week on November 2nd, and Disney has released a cool looking triptych banner and poster for you to check out!

This was one of my favorite movies of the year! It was both very cool and extremely entertaining, and I'm looking forward to hearing what you all think about it! I'm pretty confident that audiences are going to be really happy with this one.

Thanks to Firstshowing for the heads up on the banner and poster!

Here's the Synopsis:

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Emmy(R)-winning director Rich Moore (TV's "The Simpsons," "Futurama") take moviegoers on a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey in "Wreck-It Ralph." Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly, "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby," "Step Brothers") is tired of being overshadowed by Fix-It Felix (voice of Jack McBrayer, "30 Rock"), the "good guy" star of their game who always gets to save the day. But after decades doing the same thing andseeing all the glory go to Felix, Ralph decides he's tired of playing the role of a bad guy. He takes matters into his own massive hands and sets off on a game-hopping journey across the arcade through every generation of video games to prove he's got what it takes to be a hero. On his quest, he meets the tough-as-nails Sergeant Calhoun (voice of Jane Lynch, TV's "Glee") from the first-person action game Hero's Duty. But it's the feisty misfit Vanellope von Schweetz (voice of Sarah Silverman, "The Sarah Silverman Program") from the candy-coated cart racing game, Sugar Rush, whose world is threatened when Ralph accidentally unleashes a deadly enemy that threatens the entire arcade. Will Ralph realize his dream and save the day before it's too late? "Wreck-It Ralph" crashes onto the big screen on November 2, 2012, in Disney Digital 3D(TM) in select theaters.

THE WOLVERINE Confirmed for 3D

It looks like James Mangold's The Wolverine will be presented to us in lackluster 3D. According to StarkIndustries.ru Twitter, Fox Russia has officially confirmed that the movie will be in 3D. This will be the first X-Men movie to be released in the third dimension.

I just think we should assume from here on out that any big tentpole film is going to get the 3D treatment. I'm not a big fan of the 3D gimmick at all, but the studios are making money off it, and that's why we'll continue to see more and more of them.

The film is set to open in theaters on July 26th, 2013, and it stars Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima and Brian Tee.

The story for The Wolverine takes place in the present after the events of X-Men 3, and is based "on the celebrated comic book arc that finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel clashes with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed."

What do you think about The Wolverine being released in 3D?

Frank Grillo Confirmed to play Crossbones in CAPTAIN AMERICA 2

It's been confirmed that The Grey and Warrior actor Frank Grillo is set to play Crossbones in Marvel's Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The news was hinted at last week through some twitter conversations that went on. It's good to know that he landed the part!

It was also revealed that Cobie Smulders would reprise her role as Maria Hill in the film which has been described as a political thiller. Apparently S.H.I.E.L.D. will play a major part in the movie.

Crossbones a.k.a. Brock Rumlow, is an assassin and mercenary introduced in the comics in 1989 as a leader of the Savage Crims gang in New York's lower East Side. He ends up joining a school for criminals, and later works for the Red Skull under the code name Crossbones. Like Black Widow, Crossbones doesn't have any super powers, he's just skilled in the art of kicking ass! In the comics, Crossbones carried out the assassination of Steve Rogers. It will be interesting to see what role that character ends up playing in the Marvel movie universe.

Anthony Russo and Joe Russo are directing the Captain America sequel from a script written by Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. The movie is set to be released on April 4th, 2014. I loved the first movie, and I'm excited to see where the sequel takes the story.

Are you excited to hear that Crossbones is going to play a part in this story?

Creepy Halloween Photos From Over 100 Years Ago

Here are 5 photos from artist/musician Ossian Brown's 2010 book Haunted Air -- a collection of Halloween photos dating back between 1875 and 1955. Some of these photos are over 100 years old, and like a fine wine the emotional triggers of these moments in time have only become more subtle and complex with age. I get the weirdest vibe looking at these. The fact that I can't see most of their eyes doesn't help. What creeps you out the most in these photos?

FRIGHT NIGHT To Get Direct-to-Video Sequel

$

Last fall, there were three '80s remakes in theaters: Craig Gillespie's Fright Night, Craig Brewer's Footloose and Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.'s The Thing. Out of the three, Footloose was the highest-grossing and had the best reviews. Many felt the underdog of the three was Fright Night. DreamWorks hadn't planned on their previous film, The Help, having such staying power in theaters and built up a following that ultimately ended in a Best Picture nomination and Best Supporting Actress win at the Academy Awards. The film was seemingly ignored by the moviegoing populace but found a cult audience that supported it.

Still, it seems it wasn't enough. DreamWorks has reportedly sold off the Fright Night name to a smaller studio. Their plans include making a sequel to the film (supposedly gearing up for production in Romania of all places) and having it become a "brand" ala "Tales from the Crypt". The original Fright Night from 1985 did have a sequel, Fright Night Part II released 4 years later.

It's clear that none of the original cast from Fright Night (Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, David Tennent) will return. There's not much from the remake that a sequel can pick up from, unless they go the route of "the exact same thing is happening to a new set of characters". And, really, who wants that? Fright Night (2011) is a fun and dark horror/comedy that deserves better. Would you see this new sequel without any of the original actors?

It seemed like the first Red got a lot of positive feedback from audience members. It definitely did well enough at the box office to get a sequel made! Red was a great movie, and I think it's great we are getting a Red 2. What's even better is that  Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker and Helen Mirren are all set to return! To add to the awesomeness of the cast Catherine Zeta-JonesByung-Hun Lee (G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra) and Anthony Hopkins will be in the film as well.

Galaxy Quest director Dean Parisot is developing the sequel which follows a veteran team of retired spies as they face-off and do battle with a group of new villains across Europe. I think I'm most excited to see Hopkins' villainous role in the film.

Here's a few photos from the set of the film for you to check out showing off several of the main cast members.

Hollywood's Famous Magic Castle Getting the Movie Treatment

I'm a huge fan of magic, and one of my favorite places to go in Los Angeles is Hollywood's famous Magic Castle. For those of you who have never been, it's always an awesome experience! I'm excited to report that producer Ted Field is looking to make a movie based on the awesome historic 1909 mansion.

There's no word on what the movie will be about, but I imagine it will be a supernatural film, maybe somewhere along the lines of Disney's Haunted Mansion and Night of the Museum... only hopefully it will end up being a lot better. Field's producing credits include films such as The Amityville HorrorArachnophobia and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

The private club is owned by Magic Castles Inc., and they've also has signed with CAA for representation. They are looking for several opportunities for the Magic Castle in areas that include television, film, live events, video games, digital media and even merchandising.

I can't wait to see what this Magic Castle movie ends up being like. Hopefully, it will give people a fulfilling experience of how fun and cool the Magic Castle is.

Have you ever been to The Magic Castle? If so, what is your favorite part about it?

Here's a little history behind the castle:

The Academy of Magical Arts was first begun by William Larsen in 1952 in conjunction with an independent magazine of magic, Genii, of which all the subscribers became instant members. William Larsen, Sr. died at the age of 48 in 1955. His wife and older son, Bill Jr. continued the printing of the magazine but the "Academy" lacked any formal structure or organization and the concept did not flourish. In 1962 William Larsen's younger son, Milt, undertook the job of leasing and restoring an ornately styled, 1909 mansion in Hollywood, California and turning it into a meeting place for magicians which he called the "Magic Castle." As part of their plan to revive the Academy and locate it in the "Magic Castle" William Larsen, Jr. filed articles of incorporation and created a nonprofit corporation, in 1962. The Magic Castle opened its doors in January, 1963 as the home of the Academy of Magical Arts, Inc. From an initial membership of 50, the Academy has grown to a worldwide membership of over 5,000 today.

Clooney Snags Daniel Craig, John Goodman, Bill Murray and More for THE MONUMENTS MEN

Looks like George Clooney is swinging for the fences with his next directorial effort.

After The Ides of March was rather unfairly ignored at the Oscars, Clooney is gearing up for his next movie, a historical heist film called The Monuments Men that tracks a group of art historians and museum curators who join together to steal precious art back from the Nazis, who originally stole it.

Deadline has the casting report, and get a load of these names: Daniel Craig, John Goodman, Cate Blanchett, Bob Balaban, Jean Dujardin, Hugh Bonneville and Bill Freaking Murray have all signed on to star alongside Clooney himself, who co-wrote the film with producing partner Grant Heslov. Not only that, the behind the scenes talent is going to be the same as on Argo, which Clooney and Heslov produced, and that includes the score being done by Alexandre Desplat.

Quite the ragtag group of actors he has there, and Clooney's directorial vision has only become more precise as the years have gone on, so I'm expecting great things from this one. I still can't get over the fact that Bill Murray is going to be in a great ensemble like this that has nothing to do with Wes Anderson.

What about you? Stoked to see what Clooney and these actors can bring to the table with The Monuments Men?

Chan-wook Park's STOKER - New Poster Art and Promo Video

Fox Searchlight Pictures has released a new international poster and promo video for Chan-wook Park's twisted and dramatic thriller Stoker. This is Park's first English-language film, and it looks great. He also managed to bring together a hell of a great cast that includes Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska, Matthew Goode, Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Alden Ehrenreich and Lucas Till

The promo kind of plays out like a haunting music video showing off new clips from the film, along with some artwork being made that ties in with the film.

Here's the Synopsis:

After India's (Wasikowska's) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.

The movie will be released on March 1st, 2013. Are you a fan of Park's previous work, and do you think this looks like a good film?

The Science Behind Superheroes - Infographic

Batman is one of only a few top tier comic characters who don't have superpowers. But even in Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, which is arguably the most realistic approach to a superhero we've seen so far in the movies, science is stretched a bit on more than a few occasions. Here's a cool infographic from AllFancyDress that takes a closer look at the science behind the Caped Crusader and a few of our other favorite superheroes.

As technology advances, science fiction elements in comics are slowly becoming reality. What superhero technology or power would you like to see become a reality? The Super Soldier Serum? Radioactive spiders? I know we'd have some pretty swift justice in the court room if the Lasso of Truth were real.

All the fun is definitely had by the father in this situation, the daughter seems to have no clue what is going on -- she's a baby after all. I wonder when she'll actually get to see Aliens and make sense of those strange memories and pictures from Halloween '12.
