Hot Wheels Made an Insanely Badass Full-Size X-Wing Fighter Carship!

Hot Wheels just revealed a new car that is going to blow your freakin' minds! This is a car based on the design of the X-Wing fighter from Star Wars. This thing is real, it's full size, drivable, and incredibly awesome! The car was created just in time for Comic-Con where they will be showing it off on the convention floor. If you ask me, this thing is way cooler than the Darth Vader car they made a couple years ago. This is my new dream car. Unfortunately, this is a one-off car that will never be mass produced. I've included two videos below for you that offer details on the car and show it in action.

Neil Gaiman’s INTERWORLD Is Being Adapted into a Series Along with THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY

Another Neil Gaiman book is getting a series adaptation. According to Variety, Universal Cable Productions, who is behind series such as Mr. Robot and The Magicians, are currently in the process of developing Interworld

The YA fantasy/sci-fi novel follows a teen boy named Joey Harker who can travel through different dimensions. "The twist is that every dimension contains a different version of Joey—some are older or younger, some are a different gender, and some are a different species."

Gaiman and co-creator Michael Reeves will be executive producers on the project, and they will be joined by Hamilton producer Jeffrey Seller.

It was also announced that Universal Cable Productions will be developing a series based on the Dark Horse comic The Umbrella Academy. The story for that was created by Gerard Way and it's about "a dysfunctional superhero family with powers that are a little stranger than just 'super speed'— one has the ability to remake reality with a simple lie."

That series is being written by Jeremy Slater (Fantastic Four). There have been attempts to adapt this movie into a film in the past, but it's never gone past the script writing phase.

UCP has a few other projects in various stages of development that are based on comic that I'm not familiar with that include:

  • “The Woods,” James Tynion IV and Michael Dialynas’ story of 513 Milwaukee suburbanites suddenly transplanted into a giant, ancient wilderness on another planet. Michael Armbruster (“Beautiful Boy”) will write.
  • “Bushido,” about a young Dutch boy adopted by a samurai. Roy Lee (“The Departed,” “The Lego Movie”), Adam Stone (“The Voices”) will executive produce, and Markus Goerg, Dick Hillenbrand, and Mikhail Nayfeld of Heroes and Villains Entertainment will serve as co-executive producers. John Powers Middleton (“Bates Motel”) is attached to produce.
  • “The Good Neighbors,” Holly Black and Ted Naifeh’s tale of a faerie girl who has to travel from the human world to the faerie world to find her missing mother. Barbara Marshall will write, and Marshall, Jeremy Bell, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jon Shestack will executive produce.

So UPC has got a lot of cool projects coming up, hopefully these shows turn out to be awesome!

Watch Harley Quinn Kick Some Ass in Clip from SUICIDE SQUAD and New TV Spot with Batman

Warner Bros. has released a few new promo spots for Suicide Squad, and each one features a clip of particular character. The first features Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and you get to see her in action kicking ass on an elevator. The second shows Will Smith's Deadshot as he is in prison and being recruited into Task Force X by Amanda Waller and Rick Flagg. The third focuses on Cara Delevingne's Enchantress as she's being shown off to some military personnel by Waller. All the clips are solid, but the Harley Quinn one is definitely the most entertaining. I also included a couple of TV spots, one of which features some new footage of Batman.

Shocking, Cool Spoiler Reveal for One of The Joker's Outfits in SUICIDE SQUAD

Hot Toys just revealed a pretty big spoiler involving The Joker and one of the looks he'll have in Suicide Squad. Hot Toys hasn't really made any movie themed action figures that don't come directly from the film.  So if you decide to look at this, just know that this will most likely be in the movie, and it really is an incredibly awesome surprise. So, if you'd rather wait to see the movie, I completely understand. Of course, your curiosity might get the better of you.

Spoilers ahead!!!!

As you can see, it looks like at some point that The Joker will have his very own Batman costume! We have no idea how he got it, but maybe at some point he'll be wearing it to fight.

I've gotta say... I love what he he's done with it! The jokerfication is magnificently fun! I can't wait to see this thing on the big screen. This is also a figure that I'd love to own!

Crazy Cool Looking New Character Revealed for STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE

crazy-looking-new-character-revealed-for-star-wars-rogue-one

This is Edrio Two Tubes. He is a new character that is being introduced into the Star Wars universe, and he will make his debut in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. He's a Tognath bounty hunter, and he's also a pilot who is an ally for the Rebel Alliance and works with Forest Whitaker‘s character Saw Gerrera. The official Star Wars Facebook page offers us a brief description of Edrio Two Tubes:

Edrio Two Tubes is a mercenary pilot who flies alongside his eggmate, Benthic. The two share the nickname derived from the breathing apparatus that allows their Tognath physiology to process oxygen atmospheres. Edrio’s home world Yar Togna was conquered and occupied by the Empire, forcing him to flee as a refugee. Desiring to strike back at the Empire, Edrio and Benthic have allied with Saw Gerrera.

There's no word on how big of a part he'll play in the story, but I doubt we'll see a lot of him. I think this is one of those characters that we'll probably see in one or two scenes. Regardless of how much we see of the character in the movie, he's got an incredibly cool and crazy look that I like. Just from the looks of the character, I'd love to see a back story on this guy. It'll be fun to see how he's incorporated into the Rogue One story.

Marvel Studios revealed a fun portrait of Michael Rooker's Yondu from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 at Comic-Con. In it, the character is striking a pose that only Yondu could perfectly pull off.

There's going to be more information revealed for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 this weekend when director James Gunn and his cast take the stage during the Marvel panel. Gunn will be showing off some of the first footage from the film, and I assume he will finally reveal some solid story details.

That panel is taking place on Saturday, and we will be there to cover it. Stay tuned for more details. In the meantime, enjoy the Yondu art!

Netflix's Drug Series NARCOS Gets an Explosive Season 2 Trailer

I was really excited to see Netflix's cartel series Narcos, which centers on the real-life cocaine dealings of drug kingpin Pablo Escobar and the DEA agents tasked with bringing him down, but I haven't carved out enough time to sit down and watch the whole first season yet. I've heard some good things about the show, and now Netflix has released an explosive and intense new trailer for the second season to get the hype train rolling again.

Wagner Moura, Boyd Holbrook, and Pedro Pascal star, and all of the episodes from season 2 will be available to stream starting on September 2, 2016.

In the second season, notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar is on the run, with the Colombian authorities in relentless pursuit -- and determined to put an end to his illegal activities.

While we're hoping to see a trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story drop this week during Comic-Con, it'll probably be a little while until we see real footage from Rian Johnson's Star Wars: Episode VIII (though maybe Lucasfilm and Disney will surprise us with a first-look at that also). In any case, YouTuber Alex Luthor created this superb fan-made fake trailer for the upcoming sequel in honor of the recent Star Wars Celebration, and it uses footage from The Force Awakens, fan films, video games, and more to give us an idea of what Episode 8 could look like. First Look at Peter Serafinowicz as THE TICK in Amazon's Reboot

first-look-at-peter-serafinowicz-as-the-tick-in-amazons-reboot

Amazon has released the first photos of their upcoming series reboot of the superhero comedy The Tick. The photos feature our first look at Peter Serafinowicz in the title role along with a photo of Whoopi Goldberg interviewing a superhero.

This seems like such an odd version of The Tick. Don't get me wrong, I think Serafinowicz will be great in the role, but the original live-action version of the character — Patrick Warburton was so perfect for the part. I'll admit I was a little disappointed when he didn't come back to reprise his role. I'm still excited for the series though, and it will be cool to see how it turns out. The new costume is definitely interesting.

I've also got an updated synopsis that you can check out below:

In a world where superheroes have been real for decades, an underdog accountant with zero powers comes to realize his city is owned by a global super villain long-thought dead. As he struggles to uncover this conspiracy, he falls in league with a strange blue superhero. The Tick stars Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy), Griffin Newman (Vinyl), Jackie Earle Haley (Watchmen), Valorie Curry (House of Lies), Yara Martinez (Jane the Virgin) and Brendan Hines (Scorpion). The Tick is executive produced by Ben Edlund (Supernatural), Barry Josephson (Bones) and Barry Sonnenfeld (A Series of Unfortunate Events), directed by Wally Pfister (The Dark Knight), and written by Edlund. The Tick is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television.

Check out the photos and let us know what you think of the new costume.

Final DIVERGENT Film Downgraded To a Made-For-TV Movie

$

The final Divergent film will be a made-for-TV movie that leads into a spinoff TV series. That's the news Variety brings us this morning, which has me at odds.

Ascendant, the final Divergent film, was set for release next year, but after low box office sales for Allegiant, they're nixing that plan. There is no confirmation that Shailene Woodley, Theo James, or Ansel Elgort will be involved, which makes me a bit nervous for sure.

The plan is that this final movie will transition a new cast into a new television series based on the books.

I'm pretty sure I can guess most of the site's opinion, but personally, I like the Divergent series! Just to put myself out there even more, I like it more than The Hunger Games. Now I'm concerned that what was once an "all right" series will now become an MTV special.

Margot Robbie Joins Action Crime Film BAD MONKEYS

Margot Robbie is officially set to star in a crime novel-turned-film called Bad Monkeys. Variety reveals Robbie will be playing Jane Charlotte, who is accused of murder and claims to work for the Department for the Final Disposition of Irredeemable Persons, also known as the "Bad Monkeys." She is accused of being crazy and thrown into an institution, but the real question becomes whether or not she's telling the truth.

Robbie is a bit too high value at the moment to be typecast, but this character sounds a lot like Harley Quinn, right?! No director is slated for the film as of yet, but taking it at face value, I think this one has some potential. Has anyone read the book? What do you think of the casting?

Kickass New Trailer For The TRANSFORMERS: COMBINER WARS Animated Series

$

Machinima and Hasbro have released an exciting new trailer their great-looking new animated web series Transformers: Combiner Wars. This sucker was made for the hardcore fans of the original series of the '80s, and it looks like it's going to deliver something that fans are going to love.

We've already seen four prelude episodes for the series that you can check out here featuring the characters Optimus Prime, Victorion, Starscream, and Windblade. Those were cool and all, but this trailer for the actual series is so much more exciting!

Taking place 40 years after the great war on Earth, the eight episode digital series introduces new lore and all-new characters that, combined with the characters fans have known for decades, will bring the Transformers storytelling in a new direction.
The Autobots and Decepticons have disbanded and returned to Cybertron.  With the days of Optimus Prime and Megatron over, Cybertron is now ruled by a triumvirate. However, an ancient technology has enabled a new threat, the power for multiple Transformers to combine into one massive, dangerous form: Combiners. Who will stand-up to this threat to ensure that the fragile peace that was 4 million years in the making remains?

The eight-episode digital series will launch exclusively in the US on go90 as well as internationally with various partners on August 8th! Below the trailer, I've included the list of voice actors and characters you will see in the series:

ANNA AKANA, Victorion. With her 1.8M followers across YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram, Akana is a social media powerhouse. As an actress, she has had roles in Marvel’s Ant Man, Hello, My Name is Doris, and Freeform’s The Fosters.

JON BAILEY, Optimus Prime. Otherwise known as the “EpicVoiceGuy,” Bailey is perhaps most recognizable as the current narrator of Honest Trailers.

CHARLIE GUZMAN, Menasor. Known best to his 2.6M YouTube subscribers as, “DashieGames,” Guzman has made a career out of gameplay videos. He’s built his impressive fan base by taking games like Grand Theft Auto and Mario Kart, and adding comedic commentary to his gameplay.

RICKY HAYBERG, Computron. Ricky is an actor, writer, and the host for Machinima’s franchise show, ETC.

AMY JOHNSTON, Maxima. Best known for her work with the production company, Bat in the Sun, Johnston has also cameoed in Machinima’s recent Street Fighter: Resurrection series.

JASON MARNOCHA, Megatron. Marnocha is an actor and writer known best for his work on Throne of Atlantis, Deathstroke: Arkham Assassin, and Justice League War Abridged.

LANA MCKISSACK, Mistress of Flame. McKissack is perhaps most well known for her YouTube channel, thanks to her comedy sketches. She also has an extensive list of acting credits that includes Four Rooms, The Magic Pearl, and The Passing.

BEN PRONSKY, Rodimus Prime. Pronsky is a voice actor with various TV and video game credits. He’s provided the voice to characters in shows like Aldnoah.Zero, and Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, and for games such as Dynast Warriors 8 and D4: Dark Dreams Don’t Die.

Watch: Clever Video Retells ZOOTOPIA Using Emoji

I missed Zootopia when it was in theaters earlier this year, but I finally had a chance to watch it on Blu-ray a couple of weeks ago, and I was extremely impressed. I'd heard good things going in, but I had no idea it would be that good. The film has important things to say about race, the animation is breathtakingly gorgeous (like, astoundingly beautiful), and it tells a great story at a quick pace. It may end up on my favorites of the year list when December rolls around.

In any case, Disney recently released this video that retells the whole story of the movie using emoji. A lot of times I end up thinking these videos are just OK, but I thought this one was especially clever. Check it out below, and make sure to see Zootopia if you haven't yet! It's about 600 times better than The Secret Life of Pets.

BEFORE I WAKE Trailer: Jacob Tremblay's Nightmares Come To Horrifying Life

We often fear what we don't understand, and dreams can fall into that category in real life and in the movies. Dreams have been the settings of some terrifying events in horror films over the years (hell, the entire Nightmare on Elm Street franchise is based around that concept), and now we have a trailer for the latest entry into the genre, Before I Wake.

Directed by Oculus filmmaker Mike Flanagan, this movie stars Room breakout Jacob Tremblay as a young boy who's adopted by Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane. Things seem to be going OK at first, but the foster parents soon realize their new son's dreams come to life. That's a good thing when he's dreaming about nice little butterflies, but obviously a really freaking bad thing when he's dreaming about faceless demons and horrifying shit like that. Check out the trailer below.

Before I Wake hits theaters on September 9, 2016.

In this intense and heart pounding supernatural thriller, Jessie (Kate Bosworth) and Mark (Thomas Jane) decide to take in a sweet and loving 8-year-old boy, Cody. Unbeknownst to them, Cody is terrified of falling asleep. At first, they assume his previous unstable homes caused his aversion to sleep, but soon discover why: Cody’s dreams manifest in reality as he sleeps. In one moment they experience the incredible wonder of Cody’s imagination, and in the next, the horrific nature of his night terrors. To save their new family, Jessie and Mark embark on a dangerous hunt to uncover the truth behind Cody’s nightmares.

Sadistic New Joker Footage Featured in Latest Trailer For SUICIDE SQUAD

There have been a lot of Suicide Squad promos being released recently, and I don't mean to overload you with stuff, but this latest spot is a must-watch as it features some viciously cool new footage of Jared Leto's The Joker.

Earlier today, there was a big spoiler reveal featuring one of the outfits that we will probably see the villain wear in the film. If you want that spoiled for you, click here. One thing is for sure, and that's that The Joker looks insanely sadistic in this film. It's too early to compare him to any of the other versions of the villain, but I'm looking forward to seeing how this version turns out.

Suicide Squad hits theaters on August 5, 2016.

Suicide Squad takes place in a post-Superman world, following the events of Dawn of Justice, as the government grapples with how to respond the next time an alien visits Earth with less noble intentions than the Man of Steel. The answer, according to ruthless intelligence officer Amanda Waller (Viola Davis), is to recruit society’s most vile criminals, armed with lethal skills and superhuman powers. Her first target is possessed archaeologist June Moone/Enchantress (Cara Delevingne).
Waller’s program doesn’t get a green light, though, until Midway City is threatened by a powerful mystical enemy, and Waller needs to activate the whole squad of prisoners. The baddies get a break. Deadshot (Will Smith) has his Second Amendment rights reinstated, Harley (Margot Robbie) is carefully excised from her birdcage, Diablo (Jay Hernandez) is released from his own fireproof fortress of solitude, Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Slipknot (Adam Beach) strap their weapons back on, and Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) is popped from his swamp. The one condition for their restricted freedom: Obey orders or die, a rule strictly enforced by squad leader Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), his samurai Katana (Karen Fukuhara), and the explosive devices inserted into their necks courtesy of Wayne Enterprises. Throwing a wrench into all these plans is the tatted Gotham City arch-criminal, the Joker (Jared Leto), and his laser-like plan to reunite with his true love, Harley, mission be damned.
But a funny thing happens while these scumbags try to become heroes – they each must absolve themselves of their crimes even if society won’t. And that’s where it gets interesting. A layer of humanity – and sadness – resides underneath these characters’ stories as they each grapple with whether they can be redeemed.

Insane Trailer For The Hit Korean Zombie Flick TRAIN TO BUSAN!

In the everlasting zombie craze, it appears that Korea has thrown its hat into the ring with the movie Train to Busan.

This trailer is a lot of fun and the movie looks like it can hold its own against most zombie movies that are out today. I think what freaks me out the most about this trailer is how claustrophobic the movie feels. I will definitely be checking this one out.

The best way to describe it is Dawn of the Dead meets Snowpiercer. Check out the trailer and synopsis below and let us know what you think.

Train to Busan is a harrowing zombie horror-thriller that follows a group of terrified passengers fighting their way through a countrywide viral outbreak while trapped on a suspicion-filled, blood-drenched bullet train ride to Busan, a southern resort city that has managed to hold off the zombie hordes… or so everyone hopes.

The movie will be released in the US tomorrow, July 22, 2016.
