I don’t know about you, but when I was growing up in the '90s I spent a ridiculous amount of time at the arcade playing Konami’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game. For those of you with fond memories of this game, you’ll love the action figures that were just announced by the collectible toy company NECA.

The figures will be available for purchase this summer at San Diego Comic-Con. The 7” figures will come in two sets of four figures. Below you’ll find a video and some photos showing off the figures. I also included a press released with all of the details:

GET SHORTY Is Being Adapted into a TV Series

Get Shorty is such a great film! If you’ve never seen it, you’ve gotta check it out. I bust up laughing every time I watch it. That flick is loaded with amazingly funny one-liners. The film was based off the book by Elmore Leonard, and now the dark comedy Hollywood mob story is being adapted into a TV series for Epix.

There will be ten one-hour episodes being produced through MGM TV and executive producer Davey Holmes (Shameless), who is also writing the series. According to Deadline, the series will center on the character Miles Daly, “who works as muscle for a murderous crime ring in Nevada. For the sake of his daughter, he attempts to change professions and become a movie producer, laundering money through a Hollywood film. But instead of leaving the criminal world behind, he accidentally brings it with him to Los Angeles.”

The movie was hilarious, and I can only hope that the series will be just as good. Mark Burnett and Steve Stark of MGM TV said in a joint statement:

“Davey has created a modern-day re-envisioning of Elmore Leonard’s timeless cult classic where organized crime and Hollywood collide in very funny ways.”

Epix president and CEO Mark S. Greenberg added:

“I had the pleasure of working with Elmore Leonard early in my career and I am a big fan of his writing. Davey Holmes is a tremendous talent and has created a fantastic new series that is in the spirit of Leonard’s unique brand of social satire and strong narrative voice.”

There are some incredible TV series being developed these days, which gives me confidence in this project. There is just so much more that can be done with telling a story in TV than in film so I know that there’s potential for this Get Shorty series to be great. As long as the series nails the tone and the comedy of the story, they’ll have something special. As a fan of the book and the film, I’m excited to see how this turns out!

Get Shorty will premiere in the summer of 2017.

Robert Kirkman Reveals Six Characters Who Should Die in THE WALKING DEAD

The creator and writer of The Walking Dead, Robert Kirkman, recently made an appearance at Hawaii Comic Con. While answering a question asked by a young fan during a panel, Kirkman listed six characters who he thinks should die in the course of the AMC series.

I doubt that any of the following people listed met their demise by Negan and his baseball bat Lucille at the end of The Walking Dead season six finale, but it sounds like one day we could see any of these characters die.

If you don't want to know who Kirkman is looking to kill off, you better stop reading now. Here was Kirkman's response:

"Rick, Carl, Michonne. In the show, Daryl Dixon, eventually Abraham, Rosita. Rosita’s already dead in the comics. Jesus."

Damn! There go bunch of the fan favorite characters! I bet the fan who asked the question wasn't expecting that kind of response! Kirkman really didn't seem to hesitate to throw out those names, so they've obviously been on his mind to kill off for awhile. Last week, Kirkman said that he already had his ending planned out, so I assume he knows who lives and who dies by the time that ending comes. There's obviously no information on how these characters would meet their demise, but if you're wondering who Kirkman is looking to eventually kill off... there it is.

Watch a Live Read of George Miller’s JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL Script with Casper Van Dien as Superman

I would have loved to see George Miller’s Justice League Mortal film, but apparently it just wasn’t meant to be. Right before the film was supposed to start shooting, Warner Bros. shut it down. Not long after the script for the film, which was written by Kieran and Michele Mulroney, leaked online.

The script may have been around awhile, and I’m sure some of you have already read it, but Comic Bug comics store in Manhattan Beach, California recently hosted a livenread of the script with a full cast of actors, and it’s really interesting. Unfortunately, the original cast wasn’t brought together to do this, but it’s still entertaining and worth checking out.

The live-read consists of Adam Marcus as the Narrator, Alfred Pennyworth; Jennifer Wenger as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince; Tracy Drolet as Iris Allen; Curtis Fortier as The Flash/Barry Allen; Will Dixon as Batman/Bruce Wayne; Nathan Hedrick as Maxwell Lord; Scott Koblish as Martian Manhunter/John Jones, Brother Eye, OMAC Alpha; Debra Sullivan as Talia al Ghul; Casper Van Dien as Superman/Clark Kent; Cole Rommel as Wally West; Rafael Navarro as Aquaman/Arthur Curry; Eddie Jordan III as Green Lantern/John Stewart; and Chris Saunders, who does the Music and SFX.

One thing is for sure, the DC Cinematic Universe would have been extremely different.

SUICIDE SQUAD Spinoff Films Could Also Include The Joker and Captain Boomerang

Not long ago we learned that Warner Bros. was developing a Harley Quinn spinoff movie with Margot Robbie. This is something that seemed to get fans very excited. That movie is said to include a few female villains from the DC universe. It looks like Harley Quinn won't be the only character to get a spinoff movie from Task Force X.

According to We Got This Covered, two other characters that could get their own films include Jared Leto's The Joker and Jai Courtney's Captain Boomerang. The report says:

"The Joker is a definite possibility for a spinoff, and Jared [Leto] seems up for it from what I’ve been told. They’re also really hot on Jai Courtney’s character Boomerang right now. Nothing’s set in stone yet, but you’re definitely going to be seeing a lot more of these guys in the years to come."

There's no official confirmation of this, so we will treat this as a rumor for now. But, it wouldn't surprise to see spinoff films for any of the villainous characters that make up Task Force X. You know the executives at WB are at least discussing the possibilities.

I think David Ayer's Suicide Squad is going to be a solid hit for the studio, and it will probably end up getting better reviews than Batman v Superman. As you know, the studio is currently in the process of restructuring things in DC Entertainment because of the disappointment that was Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. I think the studio sees Suicide Squad in a completely different light. They seem confident in this film, and audiences who attend early screenings are loving it. So the villainous side of the DC Universe could be a very successful and lucrative franchise for them.

We know a sequel is currently in development, but it'll be interesting to see where they take these characters after the first movie is released and if we will see any of these spinoff films released between the first movie and the sequel.

Are you more excited about the potential of the Suicide Squad characters or the Justice League heroes?

I've got an incredibly entertaining stop-motion animated short for you to watch today called "ROBO Deathmatch." It features several popular geek culture robots brutally battling each other to the death. The video was created by YouTuber counter656, and in it we get to see the following robots fight each other: Ultron vs. Robocop, Megatron vs. Android 16, General Grievous vs. Optimus Prime, and Terminator vs. Stick bot. The creator used action figures to bring these robot characters to life, and as you'll see, each fight turned out to be extremely fun and action-packed.

Of Course Disney Wants to Make a Live-Action THE LITTLE MERMAID Film

$

Disney has had a lot of success with their live-action adaptations of their classic animated films. A couple of days ago, they released a teaser trailer for their upcoming Beauty and the Beast movie, which exploded online. It was watched over 92 million times in its first 24 hours. That beat the record of the second teaser trailer that was released for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which got 88 million views.

There's obviously a lot of excitement for Beauty and the Beast. Now Disney is looking to capitalize on that excitement and according to Deadline, the studio is in the early stages of developing a live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid. The studio hasn't officially greenlit the project, but they are having discussions with major producers who have strong ties with the studio.

I honestly don't know why Disney wouldn't move forward with the project. It's pretty much guaranteed to make them insane amounts of money, especially if it actually turns out to be a good movie. With great recent films like The Jungle Book and Cinderella, it seems like Disney knows how to handle these projects, make solid films, and most importantly make the fans happy.

I can't really roll my eyes at the fact that Disney wants to make a new Little Mermaid film because chances are, if they make it, it will probably turn out to be a great film. Keep in mind, this is different from Universal's adaptation of The Little Mermaid, which has Chloe Grace Moretz lined up to star.

We May Have Seen The Last of HBO's TRUE DETECTIVE

$

After an iconic and breathtakingly great first season, HBO's True Detective completely crapped the bed in its second season, producing what might be the most drastic drop in quality from one TV season to the next that we've seen in the past decade (or maybe even longer). Creator and showrunner Nic Pizzolatto was admittedly under some fairly tight time constraints to get that second season completed on schedule, but rumors of him being a control freak and feuding with Cary Fukunaga (who directed every episode of the first season and zero in the second) didn't exactly help his case. After largely shouldering the blame a few months ago, HBO's President of Programming Michael Lombardo has stepped down (presumably for more reasons than just that season's critical failure) and been replaced by Casey Bloys, the former head of comedy at the network who had overseen shows like Silicon Valley and Veep.

So what does that have to do with True Detective? Well, Bloys will be in charge of all movies, miniseries, documentaries, sports, and Cinemax programming, and that includes True Detective. As THR puts it:

While juggernaut Game of Thrones and the final season of Damon Lindelof’s Peabody-winning drama The Leftovers shouldn’t require too much of Bloys’ time, other decisions, including the fate of True Detective, now fall to him. (HBO sources suggest a new project from creator Nic Pizzolatto is more likely.)

So while that isn't a full-on announcement that True Detective is over and done with, I wouldn't be surprised if Bloys didn't want one of his first big moves in his new position to be to attempt to resurrect a once-great show that's run by a reportedly difficult showrunner. Sure, it'd make him look smart if he pulled it off, but the smarter move would probably be just to let it die at this point and let Pizzolatto move on to something else.

What do you think? Do you want to see more True Detective?

Mysterious Teaser For The Ridley Scott-Produced Sci-Fi Movie MORGAN

$

Ridley Scott, a legend of the sci-fi genre, has produced a new movie called Morgan, and 20th Century Fox just debuted its first teaser trailer. This is a true example of a legitimate teaser, because after watching it, I have almost no idea what the hell is going on. Here, take a look and then meet me below:

That trailer is so vague, I had to look up the official synopsis to see what this thing is even about:

A corporate troubleshooter (Kate Mara) is sent to a remote, top-secret location, where she is to investigate and evaluate a terrifying accident. She learns the event was triggered by a seemingly innocent “human,” who presents a mystery of both infinite promise and incalculable danger.

For me, the teaser sort of backfired: it's designed to draw me in, to make me lean forward and wonder what's happening, but because it chose to give such a small amount of information, I didn't really care about what was going on. Keep in mind — I'm not criticizing the movie itself, just the trailer. Hopefully the movie will be good, because it has a stellar cast: Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Paul Giamatti are all on board. Luke Scott (Ridley's son) makes his directorial debut here, and Morgan opens in theaters "soon."

Jim Carrey Shows "Sad Feet" On Great Classic SESAME STREET Clip

While I am certainly a fan of his raunchier stuff, I always appreciate seeing Jim Carrey work his comedy in a for-kids environment. How The Grinch Stole Christmas has, despite the love for the original animation, become a classic Christmas film, and he was the best part of A Series of Unfortunate Events.

Other than that, we really don't have a lot of for-all-ages comedy from Carrey. Seeing this classic "sad feet" clip of the actor from 1993, I think we need more! Watch Carrey traumatize Elmo and Telly below.

THE SPACE BETWEEN US Trailer: A Martian-Born Teenager Explores Earth For The First Time

Here's the first trailer for The Space Between Us, a new adventure/romance starring Asa Butterfield as a boy born in space and raised on Mars who makes his way to Earth for the first time. Gary Oldman, Britt Robertson, and Carla Gugino co-star, and STX Entertainment is aiming squarely at the teen audience with this one. By the end, it gets so cheesy I was certain they'd drop a certain Dave Matthews Band song in the background, just to really hammer it home.

The Space Between Us arrives in theaters on August 19, 2016.

In this interplanetary adventure, a space shuttle embarks on the first mission to colonize Mars, only to discover after takeoff that one of the astronauts is pregnant. Shortly after landing, she dies from complications while giving birth to the first human born on the red planet – never revealing who the father is. Thus begins the extraordinary life of Gardner Elliot – an inquisitive, highly intelligent boy who reaches the age of 16 having only met 14 people in his very unconventional upbringing.

While searching for clues about his father, and the home planet he’s never known, Gardner begins an online friendship with a street smart girl in Colorado named Tulsa. When he finally gets a chance to go to Earth, he’s eager to experience all of the wonders he could only read about on Mars – from the most simple to the extraordinary. But once his explorations begin, scientists discover that Gardner’s organs can’t withstand Earth’s atmosphere.

Eager to find his father, Gardner escapes the team of scientists and joins with Tulsa on a race against time to unravel the mysteries of how he came to be, and where he belongs in the universe.

Watch: Rare Teaser Trailer For REVENGE OF THE JEDI Unearthed By The Academy

Here's a cool piece of rare Star Wars material you've probably never seen. The Academy Film Archive recently acquired a copy of what may be the very first teaser trailer for George Lucas' third film in the saga, Return of The Jedi, back when it was still titled Revenge of The Jedi. The Academy's website has a good explanation of how this was only attached to a brief theatrical run of a double feature of the first two Star Wars movies that took place in the U.K., and it debuted so early that not only did it still have "Revenge" as part of the title, but it promised a Christmas 1983 release (in fact, the movie ended up coming out earlier, in the summer of that year). Unless you happened to watch that specific run of the double feature back in 1982, this is the first time you'll see this teaser:

THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS Returning to Theaters This Summer to Celebrate Its 15th Anniversary

Can you believe it's been fifteen years since The Fast and The Furious came out? Before Fast Five catapulted the franchise into the next-level awesomeness it's become, the first film took the world by storm and had a huge impact on car culture in the early 2000s. The movie worked, largely because it was structurally just a remake of Point Break with cars instead of surf boards, and it turned Vin Diesel into a leading man.

The movie is returning to theaters on Wednesday, June 22, which marks exactly fifteen years since it first arrived, and you can pre-order tickets right here.

“All of us who make the Fast and Furious movies know we are part of a family that spreads all around the world,” said series producer Neal H. Moritz, “and we are happy to invite our fans to revisit where it all began back on the big screen. While we are hard at work making number eight, we are thankful to take this moment and celebrate the original that started us off."

Meanwhile, Fast 8 is scheduled to race into theaters on April 14, 2017.

You would think any self respecting X-Men movie would do well to stay as far away from X-Men: The Last Stand as possible. However, recycling scenes happens all the time, and it looks like a scene from that horrid film was reused for Deadpool! THE INFILTRATOR Trailer: Bryan Cranston Goes Undercover to Bust Drug Dealers

$

0

Here's the second trailer for the new drug thriller The Infiltrator, which stars Bryan Cranston as an undercover agent who attempts to take down cocaine kingpin Pablo Escobar. I like this trailer a little more than the first one, because it seems better edited and faster-paced. This is a true story that's been told many, many times already, but as is often the case in genre movies, it all comes down to the execution. We'll see if director Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer) can elevate the final movie above its familiar setting.

Cranston, John Leguizamo, Benjamin Bratt, Diane Kruger, Amy Ryan, and Joseph Gilgun (who plays Cassidy on AMC's Preacher) all star, and The Infiltrator hits theaters on July 15, 2016.

Based on a true story, Federal agent ROBERT "BOB" MAZUR (Bryan Cranston) goes deep undercover to infiltrate Pablo Escobar's drug trafficking scene plaguing the nation in 1986 by posing as slick, money-laundering businessman Bob Musella. Teamed with impulsive and streetwise fellow agent EMIR ABREU (John Leguizamo) and rookie agent posing as his fiancé KATHY ERTZ (Diane Kruger), Mazur befriends Escobar's top lieutenant ROBERTO ALCAINO (Benjamin Bratt). Navigating a vicious criminal network in which the slightest slip-up could cost him his life, Mazur risks it all building a case that leads to indictments of 85 drug lords and the corrupt bankers who cleaned their dirty money, along with the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, one of the largest money-laundering banks in the world.

20 Greatest Action Figure Playsets From The '80s and '90s

$
0
0

They just don’t make toys like they used to. If you grew up in the '80s and '90s, you were lucky enough to be a part of a golden age of action figures that I don’t think we’ll ever see again. It didn’t hurt to grow up with an uncle who was a collector of toys as well. It just meant that I was spoiled a little bit when it came to action figures. I owned a lot of them, and I even had a few of the epic playsets that were created for some of these action figure lines.

Not long ago, I was helping my uncle sell some of his toys. Of course as soon as I saw the collection of old G.I. Joes he was looking to get rid of, I told him to save them for me! (I’ve been slowly building up a collection of G.I. Joes from the '80s.) Anyway, I was reminded of all of the awesome playsets that were around when I was a kid and I wanted to write a list of some of these playsets you may have forgotten about.

So, here are 20 of the greatest playlets that were made during that time:

Snake Mountain: He-Man and The Masters of The Universe

Snake Mountain is Skeletor’s lair, located on the Dark Hemisphere of Eternia. This is one of those He-Man playsets that I always wanted but never got. The most notable feature of the purple playset was the cool demon-like face on one side of the mountain. There is a trapdoor inside the gate, which was operated by a switch. The major selling point for any kid, though, was the “echo” microphone that let kids sound evil as they spoke into it. As they talked, the mouth and face of the demon would move.

Cats' Lair: Thundercats

This was the biggest playset that was produced for the Thundercats toy line. One of the coolest aspects of the toy is that it came with a pivoting cat head that fired and received laser beams. The Cats' Lair's laser system also interacted with all four of the Laser Sabers that were a part of the toy line. There was even a laser-activated counter that registered hits and sounded a “piercing” alarm. There was a game you could play with the set, the object of which was to destroy the opponent's "Defense Shields" by hitting the target with the Laser Beams. The HQ also came with a secret door to trap invaders in an underground cell, and big cat paws that lifted to reveal and “Ion Beam” cannon and a secret battle station.

Death Star Space Station: Star Wars

This was the first Star Wars playset ever to be released, and in a dream come true for kids and their geek parents at the time it came out, it only cost $18! The set had four floors and an elevator shaft that would go to each one. The bottom floor featured a working trash compactor filled with foam, and the top floor included a laser cannon to fight the Rebels with. The two middle floors simulate the bridges near the Death Star’s central chasm. There’s even a trap door that leads to the trash compactor. This set the standard for action figure playsets.

Fright Zone: He-Man and The Masters of The Universe

This set was released for He-Man’s Evil Horde sub-toy line. The Fright Zone was never introduced in the animated series, but its eerie vibe with the spooky tree, prison cell, and dragon-like snake made it the perfect place for any He-Man villain to hang out. As a fan of horror, I really dug this thing. I never owned it, though.

Mobile Command Center: G.I. Joe

Here’s a G.I. Joe playset I think many of you may have forgotten about. I had forgotten about it until I came across it doing my research! This thing was basically a giant tank headquarters. It featured electronics and communications countermeasure equipment and was armed with HE-27 Shockwave guided missiles and a ton of other weapons. It came with a control center, a prisoner holding cell, and a service station for small assault vehicles. If you’ve never seen one of these in person, it’s pretty spectacular.

Technodrome: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

The Technodrome was the main base of operations for the TMNT villains. This was the coveted layout in the toy line that every TMNT fan wanted. It was like a giant tank Death Star. The thing was overloaded with details and cool little features like secret ooze pits, trap doors, a mutant jail cell, a gunner station, laser guns, a brain scrambler that a figure could be strapped to and spun around, and more. Even though I had a shit ton of TNMT figures, I never had this one.

The Defiant: G.I. Joe

Nobody made better action figure playsets than Hasbro did with their G.I. Joe toyline. They had the best of the best, and there are a few of them on this list. The first one in the G.I. Joe Space Shuttle known as The Defiant. This this was epic and unlike any other playset I had seen before. These are hard to come by this days, but my uncle actually has a complete set in his garage that was always fun to play with from time to time when he wasn’t looking. The Defiant is composed of three vehicles, which consists of the Crawler unit, which transports the shuttle, the booster unit, which carries the Defiant space shuttle on launch, and finally there’s the space shuttle itself, which has a three-station operations center and hatch covers that open to reveal a claw with laser gun and a cord for space walks.

Crystal Castle: She-Ra

I really didn’t play with any girl-centric toys when I was growing up, but I thought it'd be cool to represent at least one on this list, so I included She-Ra’s Crystal Castle. This was a place for She-Ra and her friends to hangout, relax, and prepare for battle. I can imagine any little girl having a blast with this thing. I know my own kids would love it. It had two levels, a purple throne, and a crystal bed with a canopy where your action figures could sleep. Since they were also warriors, there was a weapons rack as well.

Ewok Village: Star Wars: Return of the Jedi

Return of The Jedi was not only the first movie I saw as a kid, but it was my introduction to the Star Wars universe. I remember seeing the film at the drive-in movies with my mom and dad and it was one of the greatest experiences ever! I loved that film and as a kid, the Ewoks were so cool. What kid didn’t want to have the Ewok village!? It was the biggest Star Wars playset Mattel produced. It had two levels connected to three giant tree trunks. It even came with a roasting fire, so the Ewok heroes could cook and eat the villainous Stormtroopers.

Tomb Fortress: Thundercats

This playset featured the tomb of the main villain Mumm-Ra. It had a Large Skull “Transformation Chamber” with glow-in-the-dark eyes and teeth, and two mechanical man/beast statue guardians with moving tail, arms, and heads. I always thought this was the coolest playset in the Thundercats toy line, but I always liked the dark and eerie stuff.

Fire House Headquarters: The Real Ghostbusters

When I was a kid, being a Ghostbuster was on my long list of things that I wanted to be when I grew up. I especially wanted to work in the firehouse because it seems like it would have been one of the coolest places to work. I mean, who wouldn’t want a firepole in their headquarters! This action figure playset was the closest I ever got to living that dream. On top of the "Ghost Pursuit" firepole, it also had a ”goop grate" that would ooze Ecto-Plazm play gel and there was a "ghost containment" unit for storing ghosts.

Fortress of Fangs: Dungeons & Dragons

The Dungeons & Dragons toy line didn’t last long. One the course of two years, LJN created and released 19 action figures, 7 creatures, and this one playset. The toyline just never caught on. I had a friend that own this playset and it was pretty cool. It was loaded with booby-traps, golden treasure, and the dragon head was just a really cool design. I couldn’t find a commercial for this one, so they obviously didn’t market it very well, which is probably why it failed. I did find this video, though:

Enterprise D Bridge: Star Trek: The Next Generation

I have some very fond memories of this thing, as I actually shot a Star Trek fan-film using the Next Generation playset and all of the action figures. It turned out to be an embarrassingly bad film. The Enterprise D Bridge featured a full 360-degree environment and included all of the chairs and computer consoles that were depicted on the show. The attention to detail in recreating the bridge was awesome.

Boulder Hill: M.A.S.K.

Who would’ve thought that a gas station by a mountain would make for such a cool playset! Of course, it was a little bit more than that. Boulder Hill is M.A.S.K. leader Matt Trakker’s secret base, and like all of the M.A.S.K. toys, it transformed into an armored defensible base. Hell, the gas pumps even change into guns, which is always a good idea.

Daily Bugle: Spider-Man

Spider-Man never really had a real HQ. I don’t think a playset of Aunt May’s house or a small apartment would have gotten kids very excited. So we ended up getting a playset based on The Daily Bugle, the place where Peter Parker worked, which doesn’t seem like it would be much more exciting...but it kinda was! There were buildings that Spidey could climb up and swing from as he fought bad guys.

Headquarters: G.I. Joe

I remember the day I got the G.I. Joe headquarters. I spent hours upon hours playing with this thing with my G.I. Joe action figures when I was a kid. The memories came flooding back as I was watching commercials and looking at photos for it. This was the Joes' main place of operations. It included computer screens, a jail for the Cobra scum, and a couple of garages to place your vehicles while they waited to be deployed into action.

Eternia: He-Man and The Masters of The Universe

Yep, Mattel actually produced an Eternia playset, and it’s the largest Masters of the Universe playset that was produced. The playset featured three towers, a monorail track, and vehicles that run on the track around the entire playset. This is extremely rare to find these days, especially a complete set because not many of them were produced. This was one of the most expensive playsets around in the '80s, so not many people were buying them. I’ve never seen one of these in person, but I’d like to.

Cobra Terrordrome: G.I. Joe

G.I. Joe’s headquarters was pretty cool, but you know who had a better base of operations than they did? Cobra! The Terrordrome was a technological castle of a base for Cobra. This thing was super cool and super big. The playset came with three vehicle service and refueling garages, munitions depot, a prison cell for G.I. Joe, tower-mounted cannons, and a launch silo for the Firebat interceptor mini-jet. This is a way better headquarters than G.I. Joe, but unfortunately, Cobra management sucked ass, so they rarely won.

Castle Greyskull: He-Man and The Masters of The Universe

When I was growing up, it seems like every kid I knew had the He-Man Castle Greyskull playset. It’s easily one of the most recognized '80s playsets that exists. Not only was it a cool playset to play with, but it also could be used to store all your He-Man action figures. It even had a handle on the top of the castle so you could easily carry it around. I always loved that wicked-looking skull decorating the front of the castle. It also had a hinged Jawbridge that led the to the interior. The interior featured a throne room, elevator, and a trap door. There were also tons of accessories are also included: a ladder, removable flagpole, turret cannon, weapons rack with 9 weapons, and a "battle trainer" device.

Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Flagg: G.I. Joe

Leave it to G.I. Joe to get the most epic playset ever created. My uncle got me this one Christmas when I was growing up and it’s one of the greatest Christmas presents I ever received! At 7’6”, The U.S.S. Flagg Aircraft Carrier is humongous and after setting up the whole thing, it nearly took up the entire floor of my bedroom! There never has been or ever will be a playset quite as spectacular and amazing as this one. It held all of my G.I. Joe action figures and the three aerial vehicles I owned. It came with a mini loudspeaker so you could awesomely yell, “Get to your battle stations!” It also had radar, missile launchers, an elevator deck, and an arrestor cable that fit into the rear stabilizers of the Skystriker jet.

Deadline reports that Endemol Shine Studios has acquired the rights to the popular first-person POV video game Mirror's Edge and they're developing a TV series adaptation.

Mirror’s Edge is set in a quasi-futuristic dystopian society in which a network of “runners” act as couriers to transmit messages while evading government surveillance. The game’s main character and heroine is Faith, a runner and skilled warrior whose sister is framed for murder. The narrative follows Faith as she is drawn into the fight against the ruling Conglomerate and becomes enveloped in a conspiracy that could bring down society itself.

I've only played the demo of the first game, but if the TV adaptation is anything like the games, there's going to be a hell of a lot of parkour going on. No word yet on a showrunner or any talent attached, but this could be a cool female-centric show with a hell of an opportunity for breakout star status for its leading lady, so it'll be interesting to see who they cast as Faith.

The upcoming Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a reboot, and you can watch the launch trailer for that game below:
