Batman Goes Rockabilly In This Gallery By Denis Medri

I'll be honest — I don't completely understand Rockabilly. Is it biker culture mixed with the '50s? Is it a more butch hipster movement? I'm not trying to make a bad joke, I'm just literally confused every time I happen to see something regarding it. Regardless, I really enjoy this art by Denis Medri! I wouldn't mind seeing an entire Batman comic series like this, would you? See the entire 52 image gallery below!

SUPERGIRL and THE FLASH Crossover Episode: Poster and Synopsis Revealed

After a lot of back and forth "will-they won't-they" conversations between executive producer Greg Berlanti, CBS, and The CW regarding a possible crossover between The Flash and Supergirl, it's finally happening. CBS has just released a new poster (above) featuring the two beloved characters side by side, and they've already unveiled a plot synopsis for the episode, appropriately titled "World's Finest," which you can read below:

“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”

While the Photoshop work on the poster could probably be a little better, I do like how it recalls the classic races that often happened in the comics between Superman and The Flash. Did Flash ever race Supergirl in the comics? I haven't read enough to know the answer, but I'm sure a few of you can let us know in the comments if those two ever went toe-to-toe to see who won.

The crossover episode airs on CBS on Monday, March 28 at 8pm.

Watch: Pretty Accurate Depiction of Seeing Marvel Movies (For Both Fans and Non-Fans)

Dorkly is back with a new video that breaks down what it's like to watch Marvel Studios movies from two perspectives: one of a die-hard fan, and one from somebody who barely knows anything about the movie beforehand.

Though they playfully imply that it's better not to know as much going in, I'm actually fully supportive of that method. Generally speaking, I like to know the premise, who's directing, writing, and starring in a movie, and maybe see the first trailer, and that's about it. I think it's more enjoyable to experience the rest of the film in context in a theater, but I know there are people who think half the fun is scouring every single set photo and scrap of information they can find. Different strokes, I guess.

Looks Like SUICIDE SQUAD Might Play at SXSW

Fans looking forward to seeing Suicide Squad may have a chance to check it out a few months before everyone else, because if the tweets and photos from the film's cast are true, it seems like the movie might play at this year's SXSW Film Festival this month before making its official theatrical debut this August. Check out these new images from some of the cast members:

The #SuicideSquad is coming to #SXSW let's see who's bad enough to get inked #HarleysTatooParlor #Enchantress #Junemoon

If the film truly does play at the festival, I wouldn't be surprised if Margot Robbie showed up (possibly in costume as Harley Quinn) and gave out tattoos to people in the crowd, just like she did to her fellow cast members when they were filming the movie. I imagine that'd be an unforgettable experience for fans. (Though if that happens, I'd expect people to have to sign some kind of waiver beforehand so they couldn't sue her or Warner Bros. — and again, this is all speculation on my part.)

Suicide Squad officially hits theaters on August 5, and SXSW takes place in Austin, Texas from March 11-19.

The Force is strong with Tadashi Mori, an artist who has figured out a way to create Darth Vader, the one-time Dark Lord of the Sith, using origami art. It's impressive stuff, but if you'd like to follow along and create your own version, be prepared to put some time into it: this video is nearly 45 minutes long.

What's that? You've already given up? Come on, you can do it — I find your lack of faith disturbing...

Trailer: John Travolta Gets His Own JOHN WICK-Style Revenge Film with I AM WRATH

When I hear the name John Travolta, I instantly think of the attractive macho man in Pulp Fiction or the FBI agent in Face/Off. I guess that’s just some sort of human tendency to cling on to something that has been long gone when the present cannot offer anything better. As iconic as these two movies are, I cannot honestly say the same about the most recent Travolta movies. His star doesn’t appear to be shining that brightly nowadays — at least not for me. His presence in the film industry has faded away, to some extent, and he appears to have joined the group of actors who star in a movie just for the money and for the sake of not being completely forgotten. This is a way to wave at us and say “Hey, we are still here. Not as good as before, but still here.”

Finding out that Travolta was going to star in I Am Wrath made me extremely excited at first. Who wouldn’t like to see the rebirth of Travolta, right? But after watching ComingSoon's new trailer for the film, all I could muster was "meh."

Here’s an official synopsis:

Unemployed engineer Stanley Hill (Travolta) witnesses the brutal murder of his wife Vivian (Rebecca De Mornay, TV's Jessica Jones) who was attacked by thugs in a parking garage. When Detective Gibson (Sam Trammell, True Blood) and other corrupt police officers are unable and unwilling to bring the killers to justice, Stanley turns to his old friend Dennis (Christopher Meloni, Man of Steel, TVs Law & Order) and decides to take matters into his own hands. It is only then that Stanley and Dennis are found to have a mysterious past that, until now, they kept very well hidden.
As they wreak their revenge, those involved in the cover up realize that Stanley and Dennis are more dangerous than they could have ever imagined…

I Am Wrath hits theaters on May 13, 2016, but I think I will be hitting the skip button instead.

Do you think the movie is worth seeing?

Rumor: Details About Sylvester Stallone's Possible Role in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

We've already written about how Sylvester Stallone might pop up in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but now there's a rumor that potentially gives details about what kind of role he'll have in the film. Turn back now if you don't want to have the surprise ruined for you, because there are possible SPOILERS ahead.

ComingSoon relays a report from a site called On Location Vacations, who claim that their source has seen Stallone on the Atlanta set of the film, and that "His costume looks a lot like Judge Dredd.” Before you start thinking there's a crossover in the works, keep in mind that A) Marvel doesn't own the rights to Judge Dredd, and B) Stallone isn't the most recent actor to play that character — he portrayed him in 1995's Judge Dredd, but the most recent man to wear the mask was Karl Urban in the 2012 film Dredd. It seems incredibly unlikely that Stallone is showing up in this movie to reprise that role.

What's more likely, then, is that he's playing a member of the Nova Corps, since the costumes are extremely similar to the Dredd outfit. See?

I really hope Stallone ends up being in the movie in any capacity, because it'll mean that Guardians 2 will be a reunion for him and his Tango & Cash co-star Kurt Russell. Maybe Gunn will end this movie on a bizarre high five, too.

I love that director James Gunn like to share stuff with his fans! As you know, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is currently shooting and to help keep fans involved as much as possible he has been posting photos from the set. His most recent photo features the heroes and villains having a little fun with each other. The photo came with the following caption:

"High on believing. The Guardians of the Galaxy and frenemies."

The photo features Zoe Saldana, Michael Rooker, Chris Pratt, Karen Gillan and Dave Bautista. Sean Gunn is also in the photo because he is standing in for Rocket Raccoon. Then the blonde in the photo is Pom Klementieff, who is playing Mantis. Gunn says she's amazing.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is currently in production and it will be released on May 5th, 2017.

Watch: 10 Inexplicable Movie Plot Holes

Screen Rant's latest video runs through ten popular movies with plot holes that can't be explained. As you probably expect from a video like this, some of their selections are pretty nitpicky, but there are a couple that are obvious (Fast & Furious 6's mega-long runway) and some I never thought about before (Back to the Future III's gasoline problem). Take a look below, and see if you can explain any of these theoretically inexplicable plot holes:

Spider-Man Rumored to be Heavily Featured in New CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Trailer

Tomorrow Marvel will be releasing a new trailer for Captain America: Civil War. That trailer was teased in a video released earlier today that you can watch here if you haven't already.

According to Latino-Review, this new trailer is being referred to as a the "payoff" trailer at Marvel headquarters. Why? Because apparently it "heavily...features...Spider-Man."

As you know Spider-Man has been absent from every bit of marketing for the film up until this point. We've all been incredibly excited about seeing Spider-Man join the MCU, and I really hope that the rumors of him debuting in the trailer tomorrow are true. If he doesn't show up, I'll be pretty disappointed. We've been patiently waiting, and now it's time for the big reveal we've all been waiting for.

We've been seeing a lot of hype building for the movie this week with all of the set reports and interviews that were released. To get caught up on all that news, click here. Judging from everything that we've seen and heard, Captain America: Civil War is going to be one of the greatest Marvel films made to date.

The movie will be released on May 6th, and the anticipation is freakin' killing me!

Two CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Characters Go to the End Hard and Ugly

This year is a great year for comic book movie fans. Even with all of the movies that are going to be coming out this year, I have to say that Captain America: Civil War is probably the movie I am the most excited for.

In a recent interview with Nerdist, the directors and cast weighed in on the motivations of characters and how this will affect the MCU landscape forever. The whole article is worth looking over. I especially liked Robert Downey Jr.’s view of the conflict, but we are going to focus on what director Joe Russo had to say about how this encounter among former allies will affect everything around them:

"There’s an intensity in this film. We dug deep to find motivations that were extremely personal and very emotional to the characters. It’s not for all characters because, like any fight, people take sides and some people have stronger motivations than others, and as the fight gets worse people drop out because they don’t have the stomach for it. We have a couple characters that go to the end and they go to the end pretty hard and pretty ugly."

The next paragraph is all rumor, however, so for those sensitive souls who hate spoilers with a passion, here is your spoiler warning.

SPOILER WARNING!!!!!

More than likely then, if you have seen the trailer, it will be Cap, Bucky, and Stark taking it too far, which goes along with the rumors that we will be losing either Captain America or Iron Man in this film. These are just rumors floating around so there is no weight to them yet. The Russos have used a Captain America movie before to turn the MCU on its head, I don’t see why they would hold back on this one. I can’t wait to see what they do with Civil War. May cannot get here soon enough.

Zack Snyder Considered Casting Christian Bale in BATMAN V SUPERMAN

When Zack Snyder was looking to bring Batman back to the big screen after Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy had concluded, the plan was to keep the two different visions separate from each other. That wasn’t an easy sell for the studio, though. They wanted to find a way to try and cross Nolan’s universe over with Snyder’s, but we all know that would have never worked. But because Snyder was getting some pressure from the studio, he did actually consider casting Christian Bale in Batman v Superman, but not as the Dark Knight. It would have been some other, different kind of role. When talking to Film Ink about this, Snyder explained:

“This is a total and opposite reality from the Chris Nolan movies. It’s another universe, so we couldn’t hire Christian Bale if we wanted to, because he doesn’t exist in our world. Maybe we could hire him to play another part. We did talk about that briefly. I just wanted to hire Christian to play another part to make that obvious. Christian could play, like, Alfred with age makeup. No! Of course not. But you know what I mean. Even people at the studio would say, ‘Who are you getting from the other movies?’ And I was like, ‘Hey, come on guys, let’s all understand, it’s a different world.’ In the Batman universe that Chris Nolan created, Superman would have a hard time existing. That’s why we did a reboot on the universe, so we could allow these characters to exist together. We needed to do that to have Batman exist in this world.”

Casting Bale in any kind of role in Batman v Superman wouldn’t have worked at all as it would have been pretty damn distracting, so I’m happy that Snyder decided not to include him. It’s crazy to think how some of these studio executives lack common sense. If they planned on rebooting Batman and the DC franchise, why in the world would they want to include version of the characters from a completely separate movie universe? This must be the reason why a lot of movies turn out like crap.

J.J. Abrams Says He Has Bigger Plans for the CLOVERFIELD Franchise

With 10 Cloverfield Lane, J.J. Abrams has taken the next step in expanding his Cloverfield films. The upcoming movie is not a sequel to Cloverfield, but it is connected as it exists in the same universe. It doesn’t sound like 10 Cloverfield Lane will be the last of these films either. In an interview with Variety, the producer and director reveals that he has even bigger plans for the franchise, telling them:

“It’s not just an anthology. There’s something that we’re working on. But it will remain to be seen if we’re given the shot to do it.”

So if the movie does well, you can expect to see these Cloverfield stories start to tie together into something more. At least, that's what I’m taking from Abrams’ comment above. It’s a complete mystery as to what Abrams has planned, but like 10 Cloverfield Lane, I’m sure it will sneak up on us when we least expect it.

Dan Trachtenberg directed the new movie, and you can read our interview with him here. This was his first feature film project, and from what I’ve read in our review, he did a fantastic job bringing this story to the big screen! I can’t wait to see it for myself!

“Robot Chicken is back, and man, oh man, is it tasty!”

Adult Swim has released a promo trailer for Robot Chicken season eight, and it announces that the hilarious series will be back in action on March 13th! This is one of those series that always, without fail, has me busting up with laughter.

Judging by the trailer there are some great things coming this next season! The trailer features clips from sketch’s that parody The Terminator, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Cryptkeeper, Star Wars: Revenger of the Sith, and more.

Robot Chicken is Adult Swim's long-running stop-motion animated homunculus of a sketch show. Ben Affleck Discusses the Legacy He Wants to Leave as Batman

$

In about two weeks, Ben Affleck debuts as Batman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. In a recent interview with EW, the actor talked about his character and the legacy he hopes to leave  as the caped crusader. When asked what his contribution would be to the Dark Knight’s legacy, Affleck said:

“Oh gosh, I wouldn’t. I would leave that for other people to say. What I wanted was to create a Batman that was sort of at the end of his rope physically and psychologically and emotionally, a guy who was beaten down by the world, a guy who was a little bit more of a slugger, who has more gray in his hair, and who was questioning whether the whole journey that he lived as Batman was in fact even worth it, given that he was not superhero, but now had to face a super-being, which none of the other Batmans had to confront in the movie world. It’s an interesting thing to combine, because in the Nolan Batmans, which are the defining Batmans — so magnificent — there are no other superheroes. It’s just this guy. He never has to reconcile who he is with this idea that there are all these other people who can do these supernatural things. Having to confront that and having to deal with that is my contribution to the character.”

When Affleck was first cast in the role a lot of fans were pissed off, but I thought it was an unexpected but great choice. From what we’ve seen of him in the role of the character so far, it seems like he’s going to pull it off awesomely! Will fanboys and fangirls forgive him for Daredevil? Well, that’s something we’ll just have to wait and see. He also spoke about Batman and where he is projecting his anger in the film:

“Yeah, he’s projecting in some ways his own sense of failure, his own sense of disillusionment, his own cynicism onto Superman, having at one point been certainly much more idealistic about what he was doing. He’s also always been kind of a dark guy. You can’t go out at night and avenge crime the way he does, obviously, without a darker view of the world, but you can see that this probably contributes in some degree to the greater cycle of violence. And that doesn’t put an end to crime. There’s a line about weeds just cropping up and criminals are like weeds, you just pull more of them and they grow back. He’s very disillusioned and very bitter.”

He spoke about the devastating effect that the death of Robin had on Gotham City’s hero:

“He’s bitterly disappointed in the past that he’s lost this guy who fought by his side. That character’s death must have been devastating to him, and he’s suffered. We get the sense that he’s suffered a lot of devastating losses before this movie even starts.”

We’ve previously learned that the stories of these tragic loses, like Robin, might be included in the Batman solo film that Affleck is currently helping develop. Affleck was also asked about Wonder Woman and how the character plays into Batman’s thinking. This was his reply:

“It inspires in him the idea that well, if there’s one of these kinds of people out there, then maybe there are in fact more. If there are more, then maybe that’s hopeful and also terrifying to him, because then they could make humans even more powerless — or they could serve on our side. You’ve got to remember that Batman is the world’s greatest detective, and if he suspects that there may be more, and if he suspects in particular that Diana may be somebody special, he gets inspired.”

Batman v Superman is going to be the start of something really exciting and epic. I’m rooting for Zack Snyder and Warner Bros. to succeed. I really want to see these films be awesome and spectacular in every way. It’s going to be cool to see how far they take these characters.

Ever since Lucasfilm started marketing Star Wars: The Force Awakens we've seen all kinds of Star Wars fan trailers incorporating elements from the Force Awakens trailers with the original trilogy. Today we have three new fan trailers for the original trilogy created by YouTube user and Star Wars fan Tom F.

The trailers for each of these films were edited together in the style of the third trailer for The Force Awakens and they turned out great! These actually might be the best fan trailers that I've seen. They are definitely worth checking out.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released to watch on digital download on April 1st and on April 5th it will hit  Blu-ray/DVD.
