We’re another day closer to the premiere of The X-Files revival, and we have three new posters to share with you. They feature the taglines “I Still Want to Believe” and “Trust No One.” My favorite poster that I’ve seen for the series so far in the one that features the UFO hovering in the air. That image is the heart and soul of this incredible franchise. I've also included a fun little tease from Gillian Anderson called "Show & Not Tell."

David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their iconic roles as Agent Fox Mulder and Agent Dana Scully in the upcoming event series which will encompass a mixture of stand-alone investigative episodes and those that further the original show’s seminal mythology. In the opening episode, Mulder and Scully take on a case of a possible alien abductee. The all-new episodes will feature appearances by guest stars, including Joel McHale (“Community”), Robbie Amell (“The Flash”), Lauren Ambrose (“Dig,” “Six Feet Under”), Annabeth Gish (“The Bridge”), Annet Mahendru (“The Americans”), Rhys Darby (“Flight of the Conchords”), Kumail Nanjiani (“Silicon Valley”) and William B. Davis, who reprises his role as “Cigarette Smoking Man.” Three of the episodes are written and directed by Chris Carter, with the remaining new episodes written and directed by original series veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong.

The new X-Files episodes return to Fox with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24th, and continuing on Monday, January 25th. To catch up on all of our X-Files news, click here.

Eerie New Trailer for Horror Thriller THE FOREST With Natalie Dormer

A new trailer has been released for Natalie Dormer’s upcoming supernatural horror thriller, The Forest. This movie actually looks like it could be really good. I’m a big fan of these kinds of films, and Dormer, who stars in Game of Thrones, is a great actress. This seems like a solid project for her, and I’m looking forward to seeing how this story plays out.

The story is set in the legendary Aokigahara forest, which is a real place in Japan where people go to commit suicide. The film follows "a young American woman who comes in search of her twin sister, who has mysteriously disappeared. Despite everyone's warnings not to 'stray from the path,' she dares to enter the forest to discover the truth about her sister's fate, only to be confronted by the angry and tormented souls of the dead who now prey on anyone who crosses their paths."

The movie was directed by Jason Zada from a script written by Sarah Cornwell. The Forest hits theaters on January 8th, 2016!

Christopher McQuarrie To Write and Possibly Direct MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 6

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation was a pretty spectacular entry into the Mission: Impossible film franchise. Because of its success, Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions were hoping to get writer and director Christopher McQuarrie back to take on Mission: Impossible 6. Well, according to Variety, he will be back to write the script and possibly direct the next installment.

The studio and talent reps wouldn't comment, but the site says that "several sources with knowledge of the situation say talks are progressing towards a deal being closed, with one insider saying that the studio plans to get production up and running by next August."

Tom Cruise will, of course, star in the movie, and there's a possibility we will see the return Rebecca Ferguson in the role of Ilsa Faust. The studio has a holding option for the actress. I hope they take advantage of it because I really thought she was great in Rogue Nation. I'm sure the other usual suspects will return to reprise their roles as well.

If McQuarrie ends up directing the movie, it will be the first time in the film franchise's history that a director will have helmed more than one installment. I hope he comes back to direct because he sure did do did a great job with the last film.

Cruise is currently shooting Jack Reacher: Never Go Back in New Orleans.

Photos of Wonder Woman from George Miller's Canceled JUSTICE LEAGUE Movie

As many of you already know, back in 2008, Mad Max director George Miller was set to direct a Justice League movie for Warner Bros. The project ended up being canceled for numerous reasons. It's one of those films that I wish would have happened. I think it really could have been great.

The movie was called Justice League: Mortal, and the plug was pulled on it right before it was supposed to start shooting. The film had an interesting cast that included Armie Hammer as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, and Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord.

Today the internet was treated with some photos from the development process of the film. They show us what Miller's version of Wonder Woman was going to look like. These photos feature Megan Gale in costume, and I love the recognizable look of it as well as the vintage feel. The photos debuted on photographer Marc Rogers' website

It would be great if some of the other costume test photos ended up being released. I'd love to see what the other characters would have looked like.

CAPTAIN MARVEL Almost Played a Big Part in JESSICA JONES

$

Before Jessica Jones found its way to Netflix it was set up at ABC under the name AKA Jessica Jones. If it had wound up there, it would have been a completely different series than what it became. One of the big differences would have been the inclusion of Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel. The two characters were friends in the Alias comic book series, so it would have made sense to see them together.

In a recent interview with IGN, Jessica Jones showrunner Melissa Rosenberg talked about how Captain Marvel would have been involved with the series, and it would have pretty much been the exact same character from the comic:

"Back when it was at ABC Network, I did use Carol Danvers. But between then and when it ended up on Netflix, you know, the MCU shifted, and it also shifted away from the universe in the [comic] book. So in the book, the powers are very out in the open and the themes of that are about ‘the other,’ and in the cinematic universe that’s not the mythology. So there was a lot that I had to move away from, just in terms of sheer plot, and Carol Danvers got her own movie."

It actually sounds like it would have been really fun to see Captain Marvel and Jessica Jones in the series together. Things obviously changed, though, and Danvers was replaced by Trish Walker, who is also known as Patsy Walker/Hellcat in the comics. Rosenberg explained how this was a more appropriate direction for the series:

"But as it turned out, Patsy Walker ended up being an incredibly—a much more appropriate fit with Jessica. It was better that her best friend was not someone with powers. It actually ends up being a really great mirror for her."

Who knows, maybe somewhere down the line after Captain Marvel is introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe the two characters will get some screentime together.

Jessica Jones is currently streaming on Netflex, and so far, I've enjoyed what I've seen!

SAILOR MOON Pajamas For Men Are a Thing Now

If you are a ridiculously hardcore male fan of Sailor Moon, then these Sailor Moon-themed pajamas are for you. As for me, I'm just left wondering why these actually exist! I don't get it, but I'm obviously not the target market for these. I guess if My Little Pony can have a big male fanbase of bronies, then Sailer Moon could as well.

The pajamas come from Japanese clothing designer Bibi Lab and they come complete with thigh-high slippers.

Lost James Bond Screenplay Featured 007 Killing M

$

Before Skyfall, Guardian reports there was another 007 screenplay floating around Hollywood. Once Upon A Spy featured Bond learning about his supervisor M's days as an agent for MI6. Upon slowly unraveling the mystery throughout the film, Bond would realize the rogue agent and villain he had been searching for all along was his boss.

Once Upon a Spy did not survive, but its key elements were lifted for Skyfall. M is faced with a conflict from her past, and ultimately dies to be replaced by a new M, who is male. The information all comes from the book Some Kind of Hero: The Remarkable Story Of James Bond Films, which further lays out why the original screenplay doesn't work.

“We always found [the script] really, really difficult to make credible or satisfying. It was very dark … The only thing that remained was that M’s past comes back to haunt her and she dies at the end.”

You know, I get the idea of keeping Bond from getting too dark... but if I'm being honest I think that's what held Spectre back. It definitely could have been darker, and while I don't want a gritty hardcore Bond, if the story warrants it, take the chance!

STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS - New Photo of Kylo Ren and Trailer Supercut

I have a new image of Kylo Ren and a couple of Stormtroopers for you to check out today, along with a supercut of all the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The photo above comes from Empire, and while talking to the magazine, actor Adam Driver spoke about the character being more of a religious fanatic than an evil villain:

“When they think of their actions as morally justified. It makes them dangerous and unpredictable. There’s no level they won’t go to to accomplish what they’re after. I never thought of the character as an evil person.”

Below, you'll find the video supercut that put all of the footage that has been released from the movie so far in chronological order. The video was released by Games Radar, and it seems like they slapped it together pretty quick because it's not a very smooth edit.

Melissa McCarthy's New Comedy THE BOSS Gets Its First Trailer and Poster

Once known as Michelle Darnelle, Melissa McCarthy's newest comedy has been retitled The Boss, and Universal debuted its first trailer on last night's episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! I'm very mixed on McCarthy's movies: Identity Thief was godawful, but Spy was absolutely fantastic, so I'm not ready to write her off entirely. Sadly, this looks like a film I just won't find very amusing. But maybe some of you will. See if you can make it all the way through this trailer without cringing or rolling your eyes.

The Boss arrives in theaters on April 8th, 2016.

Academy Award®-nominated star Melissa McCarthy (Bridesmaids, The Heat, Tammy) headlines The Boss as a titan of industry who is sent to prison after she’s caught for insider trading.  When she emerges ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, not everyone she screwed over is so quick to forgive and forget.
McCarthy is joined in The Boss by an all-star cast led by Kristen Bell, Peter Dinklage and Kathy Bates.  Directed by Ben Falcone (Tammy), the comedy is based on an original character created by McCarthy and written by McCarthy and Falcone alongside their Groundlings collaborator, Steve Mallory.  The film is produced by McCarthy and Falcone through their On the Day productions and Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy through their Gary Sanchez Productions.

Watch: SUPERMAN III Recut as a Horror Film

$

A couple of years before Man of Steel came out, I reviewed every Superman film that had been released in one massive article. To put it mildly, I did not have nice things to say about Superman III. From that piece:

There's no nice way to say this: Superman III is an absolutely terrible movie. From the bullshit slapstick opening sequence that rings totally false with the series' own history to highlighting comedian Richard Pryor as a comic force to battle Superman, this movie is the definition of "bad idea." Lois Lane is put on a bus to Bermuda, leaving Clark to head back to Smallville to rekindle his feelings for Lana Lang (played by Annette O'Toole, future Martha Kent on TV's Smallville). There's no Lex Luthor to be found, instead replaced by some jackass businessman whose claim to fame is building a snowy hill on top of Metropolis skyscraper. Wanna know what kind of movie this is? Richard Pryor, in full skis, falls from the top of this building - at least 100 stories, mind you - and lands in the street upright, with no broken bones or ill effects at all...This film is true idiocy at its finest.

I still stand by those statements, but the team at One Perfect Shot managed to create something watchable from that steaming pile of crap: a recut trailer of the film as a horror movie. It's an old concept that's been done to death, but I've never seen it applied to this film, and since there are so many bonkers scenes in this movie that have no business being in a Superman story, it ends up working pretty well.

Trailer For Action Comedy CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE With Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart

Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart star in an upcoming action comedy called Central Intelligence, and it looks like it could be funny as hell. The first trailer has been released for it, and I really enjoyed what I saw. The story follows a mild-mannered accountant (Hart) who used to be a high school sports star. He is lured into world of international espionage by a former bullied high school nerd (Johnson) who is now in the CIA.

Johnson's character is going to be the highlight of the movie. This seems like the perfect kind of role for him. He previously talked about the film and the inspiration behind his character saying:

"The inspiration behind this character ‘Bob’ has always been Tom Hanks in ‘Big’ with an added twist. He’s a grown man who’s extremely childlike and views the world thru exuberant and enthusiastic teenage eyes… Loves to wear his favorite Public Enemy shirt, cargo pants and sneakers to work.. and rocks a fanny pack which holds his Bruce Lee quotes and a condom (he’s always prepared). The ‘added twist’ is Bob has an extremely high IQ and is one of the most lethal men on the planet as a C.I.A. contract killer. Oh the most important character trait: He hates bullies."

The movie was helmed by We’re the Millers director Rawson Thurber Marshall and the rest of the cast includes Amy Ryan, Ed Helms, Danielle Nicolet and Bobby Brown...yes, that Bobby Brown.

Central Intelligence hits theaters on June 17th, 2016.

10 Movies That Borrowed Sets and Locations From Other Movies

$

I don't know about you, but I recognize sets and locations that I've seen used in other films all the time. Sometimes they are used so much it's hard not to spot them. Screen Rant has compiled a fun list of films that have shot on the sets and locations of other movies. Some of those movies include Batman, X-Men, Star Trek, and Daredevil.

Have you ever found yourself watching a new movie when suddenly, you're hit with a serious case of deja vu? Hollywood recycles movie plots and twists every year, but the places the films are set can be even easier to spot. But really, when you find a perfect set, why waste it on just one movie? Here are Screen Rant's 10 Movies That Stole Their Sets From Other Films.

FIFTY SHADES OF BLACK Trailer: Another Marlon Wayans Spoof

$

Marlon Wayans is back with yet another parody movie, and it seems like he's tapped into the Jason Blum/Blumhouse business model of making movies for low budgets and reaping big rewards at the box office. How expensive can it possibly be to recreate Fifty Shades of Grey and add some dumb jokes? Apparently only $5 million, which a film like this can easily earn back in one weekend. So I guess that means we'll continue to see more films like this, A Haunted House, and Dance Flick hit the big screen every few years.

Here's the trailer for Fifty Shades of Black, which opens in theaters on January 29th.

Exciting Extended Trailer For THE FLASH and ARROW Crossover Event

The CW has released an extended trailer for the highly anticipated Arrow and The Flash crossover event. This gives us our best look yet as what's in store for us, and from what I've seen it looks like it's still going to deliver the fun entertainment fans are looking for. The trailer also gives us a glimpse at the origin of Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

The Flash half of the crossover is called “Legends of Today,” and this is the official description:

“In its second major crossover event with “Arrow,” Vandal Savage (guest star Casper Crump) arrives in Central City and sets his sights on Kendra Saunders (guest star Ciara Renée). After Vandal attacks Kendra and Cisco, they turn to Barry for help. Realizing how dangerous Vandal is, Barry takes Kendra to Star City and asks Oliver and team to hide her until he can figure out how to stop Vandal. However, things quickly go from bad to worse when a man with wings AKA Hawkman (guest star Falk Hentschel) shows up and flies off with Kendra. Meanwhile, Harrison develops a serum to make Barry run faster and asks Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) to test it out.”

That’s set to air on Tuesday, December 1st.

The Arrow half of the crossover is titled “Legends of Yesterday,” and this is the description for it:

“Oliver and Barry Allen take Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall to a remote location to keep them hidden from Vandal Savage while they figure out how to defeat him. Malcolm arranges a meeting between Vandal, Green Arrow and The Flash that doesn’t go as planned. Meanwhile, Felicity, Thea, Diggle and Laurel work with Team Flash to come up with a weapon powerful enough to destroy Vandal Savage.”

This episode will air on December 2nd.

Aggressively Unfunny Trailer For Rob Schneider's Netflix Series REAL ROB

All art is subjective, but comedy might be the most subjective genre. It's easy to agree about the effectiveness of a dramatic performance, but senses of humor can range so far and wide that it's almost a minor miracle any time you find someone who agrees with you about something being funny. So when I say that the trailer for Rob Schneider's new Netflix series Real Rob is "aggressively unfunny," I say that with the full knowledge that there are going to be people out there who find it gut-bustingly hilarious and see it as the heralding of an impending comedic masterstroke. But we could not possibly be farther apart on the comedy spectrum, because I not only didn't laugh a single time when watching this, it made me disappointed that Netflix (a company I generally like and mostly respect) would decide to greenlight something that looks this genuinely terrible.

Where do you stand on Real Rob? The show will be available for streaming starting on December 1st.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey Party It Up in New SISTERS Trailer and TV Spot

Former SNL stars Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have buoyed their real-life friendship into what the kids these days call a thing. The comedic duo didn't quite set the world on fire with their first movie together, Baby Mama, but they made waves when they hosted the Golden Globes, they're about to co-host SNL next month, and there's a section of the internet that goes bananas every time they do anything together. Now they're reuniting for a new movie called Sisters, which goes head to head with Star Wars: The Force Awakens as it opens in theaters on December 18th.

Here's a new trailer and TV spot for their second on-screen comedic collaboration (well, technically the third — they briefly showed up together in Anchorman 2), and I'm interested in hearing what you all have to say about these:
