The WARCRAFT Movie Is the Ultimate Version of the First WARCRAFT Game

This past Friday the full trailer of Warcraft premiered as BlizzCon 2015, and it was quite an amazing experience watching it in a room full of Warcraft fans. I haven't played Warcraft since Warcraft II, but I don’t think you will have had to play the game to be able to enjoy this movie. This seems like it will be the kind of film that will appeal to all fantasy movie fans! Judging by the reactions to the trailer, though, some people are surprisingly not that excited for it.

While I was at BlizzCon, I had the opportunity to go to a closed press conference for the film that was moderated by Chris Hardwick. He brought out director Duncan Jones to talk about the movie along with members of the cast that includes Clancy Brown, Dominic Cooper, Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell, Paula Patton, and Daniel Wu. Also on hand was Chris Metzen, Senior Vice President of Story and Franchise Development for Blizzard Entertainment.

One of the most notable parts of the conference was when Metzen and Jones were asked about how the story of the movie will be true to the game. Metzen jumped in to answer that question, saying:

“The story is obviously a retelling of the tale of Warcraft one. The video game Warcraft one orcs and humans. We, many years ago novelized that story in a book called The Last Guardian. So in that novelization the lore was buffed a little more. You gotta remember guys, back in 1994 when War one came out story telling for games, you can argue this today still, I guess, but it was super crude. You had like a page of text in-between each mission. It was really hard to tell a story in gaming, it was super crude. So with the novelization we got to kinda plus the mythology, and kind of build out these characters more and more, and really once Duncan came on, we were very clear we wanted to do a movie about this timeline about this conflict since it’s such a, since its the point of commonality between the two franchises, or sorry, the two factions that make the franchise work witch is alliance and horde. This is where it all begins. So in looking at this story in terms of a script and what capable you can shoot, what you can literally build a story around for film. The mythology grew a little more, we made some kind of tactical calls to simplify certain themes or ideas, and really just make it work as a film. So it is not, there’s literally nothing to base it on. The game was crude and old, although I love it, I hope I didn’t sound like I’m… there’s no one left alive that worked on Warcraft one… so, you know, it’s kind of, I always like to call it, kind of… it’s the ultimate version of Warcraft one, I mean that like Ultimate Spider-Man where it’s all the greatest hits. it’s all the beats it needs, it’s all the right characters, and right kind of chemistry, but it’s streamline, it’s cleaner, it’s better, it’s sharper.”

Jones then interjected and explained:

“It’s twenty years of storytelling and a lot of it overlaps, so it’s not always going to be completely water tight or dove-tailed. There are going to be elements that but up against each other as far as lore goes over those twenty years. So I got to work with Chris and work out… ok, so where it’s a little rough and where it doesn’t quite match up or where it just really hurts our ability to tell our story, how can we shake things and smooth things over and still be true to the spirit of what the story is.

Metzen concluded with:

“I think in many ways, this is totally bullshit, but I’ll say it anyway. And not bullshit as in not true, but it’s cowardly. We made some really weird decisions with the lore over time. Things I wish I could take back, very proud of WoW, but in a way, retelling this story again in Duncan’s deft hands… it was an opportunity for redemption, conceptual redemtion. So it’s totally the Warcraft 1 everybody remembers, but it’s better, tighter, smarter, it is a much better version of its tale and were super proud of it.”

Jones also confirmed that this will be the first installment of a trilogy of films. He then went on to reveal a that there will be a little Easter Egg in the film that pays tribute to Sam Raimi. Why? Because Raimi himself is a huge fan of Warcraft, and at one point he was attached to direct the movie. Things obviously didn’t work out, but it's awesome that Jones is going to throw a nod to Raimi and the work he did to help bring it to the big screen.

If you’ve seen the trailer, then you know what this movie will bring audiences. Even though I haven’t played Warcraft in years, I’m still excited as hell to watch this movie! It sounds like they really approached it in a way that is going to make fans very happy. At the same time, they wanted to make it appeal to general audiences. Jones explained:

“That was the plan right from the start. If we could do this right, we could put our audience right into a world that seems rich and lush. But for fans of Warcraft, you’ll know every detail.”

Warcraft hits theaters on June 10th, 2016. To read up on all of the previous Warcraft news that we've posted, click here.

New Story Details Reveled for Marvel's DOCTOR STRANGE

This past week we've seen some photos and video from the set of Doctor Strange featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Stephen Strange and Baron Mordo.

We know that the movie will show us how Strange went from a master surgeon to the Sorcerer Supreme. Thanks to Latino-Review, we now have some new details on the story of the film. The following contains possible SPOILERS, so proceed at your own risk.

The following info comes from an inside source at the studio:

"The Doctor Strange movie actually starts much earlier than anyone expected, opening in 1968 Kathmandu where some Zealots of dark magic manage to open a portal to another dimension. Leading them is a character named Kaecilius, a name taken from a character associated with Baron Mordo in the Marvel Comics.
"We leave the mystery of magic in the 1960s behind to catch up with brilliant Stephen Strange in modern day New York operating on a gunshot wound. He's a brilliant surgeon who is a bit arrogant until one night, while chatting on the phone, he clips his car, causing an accident that damages his hands.
"After several surgeries from Dr. Nicodemus West, Strange's hands still aren't healed enough to return to being a doctor. An encounter with magic (and sub-atomic particles) leads him on a journey to find the Ancient One (Tilda Swinton), and when he finds her, she initially refuses to teach him.
"That's what they're filming right now in Nepal, as there will be a scene in the movie where Cumberbatch's Strange gets his now-wild facial hair under control, and shaves it down to the classic Doctor Strange facial hair we're all expecting."

So there you have it, folks! Those are the new bits of info that we have so far. It's nothing too crazy, but I'll post whatever information I can get my hands on because this is one of my most anticipated Marvel movies to date. I've been waiting for this movie to happen since before Iron Man! We'll finally get to see it on Novemeber 4th, 2016.

What Both Sides Get Wrong In the "Slave Leia Controversy"

$

When Disney first announced it would no longer be supporting the "slave Leia" outfit that has become an iconic image in the Star Wars series, people were unsurprisingly at odds. 2015 has become the era of argument where every seemingly non-major announcement is met with equal parts praise and outrage, and this was no exception. Until recently, I thought I was pretty in the know (or at least as much as the topic warranted) on this issue. Turns out I, and many of you have been made to believe some things that aren't true, as well as led to promote things that aren't...and in my opinion...shouldn't happen. No matter what side of the Sarlacc you're on, here's what you may have twisted about sci fi's newest controversial costume.

What Slave Leia Supporters Have Wrong

Fans of slave Leia, here's the most important thing YOU need to know. This really does not affect you. At this point, no one (at least at Disney) is talking about removing, altering, or deleting the scenes in Return of The Jedi featuring Carrie Fisher in her slave outfit. What it is is an explanation of its continued marketing.

Leia is a princess, and now, like it or not, a Disney Princess. This means her character, likeness, and image will be marketed and sold to the core young girls of the world as such. When Disney says they are no longer supporting the merchandising of Slave Leia, they are saying "it's weird that we are trying to sell sexy Leia to children."

That's a valid point. If I had a daughter, I would much rather her own a Leia doll where she dons her bounty hunter garb in saving Han, or maybe her land speeder gear on Endor. What message am I sending to my non-existent child if I hand her a barbified sex symbol that is in all of 15 minutes of the film?

Let's be honest, it's been 33 years since ROTJ. Any marketing, costume design, sex doll is and has been done. There is literally nothing left to do but sell it to children. If you're irked about that, you're in the minority and fighting a losing battle.

Finally I hear a lot of people make the argument that Slave Leia is an empowerment of women and a celebration of body image. Let's not forget in the context of the story Leia was forced into that costume by a crime lord who essentially implied he was going to rape her. If the story later had Leia rocking it on the dunes and sun tanning, that's a different story, but there's not much empowering about slave Leia.

What Slave Leia Detractors Have Wrong

Disney is not, and should not, remove slave Leia from Return of The Jedi. First off, they're smarter than George Lucas. They saw the backlash of fans when he made his changes to the original films and have responded by releasing the original cuts of the trilogy. To further change Star Wars would only piss off fans and make them hold onto their love of slave Leia more dearly.

For the sake of artistic integrity, and storywise, Leia should stay in the film as is.

Altering her costume or editing scenes does a greater disservice than the oppressive nature of her outfit. Would it be better to see a full clothed Leia choke a space gangster to death after he threatens to kiss her? The outfit fills in the blanks to an older audience while keeping children widely in the dark. Essentially it's perfect on all levels in that regard.

Let's also talk about how the only reason slave Leia is still a thing is because men have kept it around due to it's sexual nature. That is not at all a fair statement. Leia is sexual in that sense because Carrie Fisher was viewed as a sex symbol even prior to her wearing that outfit...

Also, for what it's worth, a quick search on Google of "slave Leia" will yield numerous forms of evidence that the sexualization of Leia is not just because of men.

Slave Leia is sexist and oppressive in the film because of the nature of the plot, and important to the story. It's not overdone, and as soon as she's able to get out of it she does. I don't find that offensive, Disney apparently doesn't, and neither should you.

That's all I got. Anything you care to add?

Bradley Cooper May Have Just Dropped a HUGE SPOILER For GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2

So it looks like Bradley Cooper may have just dropped a very big SPOILER regarding a major character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. The movie came up in an interview with MTV International while the actor was promoting his new film Burnt. The actor, who plays the ass-kicking racoon Rocket in the films, was asked about the movie, and he just started talking about the identity of Star-Lord's dad like it was something everyone already knew.

If you don't want to know what he says then stop reading now and don't watch the interview. Seriously, this is a major major spoiler if Cooper really knows what he's talking about.

If you can't watch what he said, here's a little transcription:

“Josh Brolin's the villain, no? Or he’s the main villain, no? He was in the first one, he played whatshisname’s Dad. You know who I’m talking about? The Dark-Lord… the main guy.”

The name you're looking for is Star-Lord Bradley. That's the "main guy." So, judging by what Cooper is saying here, Thanos is Star-Lord's dad... KA-BOOOOM! Mind-blown, I didn't see that coming... if it's true.

I'm kind of wishing I didn't watch that interview at this point, but dammit, my curiosity got the better of me.

Cooper did the interview with Sienna Miller, and the look on her face when she realizes Cooper's let something big slip is pretty amusing. She tries to get him to shut up, but he just keeps on going and going and going.

I imagine Marvel is going to be pretty pissed off when they find out about this. There's a chance he was just messing around, after all, he is an actor. Or maybe he doesn't know what in the hell he's talking about. I'm curious to see what comes of this possible big slip up.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will hit theaters on May 5th, 2017.

See STAR WARS Characters Enjoying Their Day Off

Let’s pause here to ponder what Star Wars characters do while they are on vacation enjoying their day off. Are they real hard workers who keep destroying stars or traveling through galaxies despite the fact that they are given a chance to embrace their free time? Are they staying in bed until late, reading Cosmo? Or are they simply fixing their droids?

Well, we have the answers thanks to the creativity of Kyle Hagey. The artist reveals a series of portraits which gives us a glimpse of a biiiiiit more relaxed version of Star Wars characters’ lives.

Hagey said:

Not sure why I made these. I guess I was just confused why everyone is fighting all the time.
It takes about a month to make one. Sometimes longer. But they’re really fun so I like to go slow and play around with different ideas, and flowers, and junk even if they’re mostly dead ends.
All the images are 100% CGI. I used nothing but computers and coffee to make them.

Here are the images in question.

J.J. Abrams On Connecting STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS to EPISODE VIII

There's a lot of Star Wars hype building right now, and I imagine it's never going to end, especially with all the new films that are in various stages of development. There's always going to be something new to learn and something fun to speculate about. It's a great time to be a Star Wars fan!

During a recent interview with Wired, director J.J. Abrams opens up about several different topics concerning his upcoming film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I also included a few new behind the scenes photos from the making of the film for you to check out.

One of the more interesting things he discussed in the interview involved the way that The Force Awakens will connect to Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: Episode VIII. This is what he had to say regarding that and how Johnson is handling Episode VII:

“The script for VIII is written. I’m sure rewrites are going to be endless, like they always are. But what Larry (Kasdan) and I did was set up certain key relationships, certain key questions, conflicts. And we knew where certain things were going. We had meetings with Rian and Ram Bergman, the producer of VIII. They were watching dailies when we were shooting our movie. We wanted them to be part of the process, to make the transition to their film as seamless as possible. I showed Rian an early cut of the movie, because I knew he was doing his rewrite and prepping. And as executive producer of VIII, I need that movie to be really good. Withholding serves no one and certainly not the fans. So we’ve been as transparent as possible.’
“Rian has asked for a couple of things here and there that he needs for his story. He is an incredibly accomplished filmmaker and an incredibly strong writer. So the story he told took what we were doing and went in the direction that he felt was best but that is very much in line with what we were thinking as well. But you’re right—that will be his movie; he’s going to do it in the way he sees fit. He’s neither asking for nor does he need me to oversee the process.”

For the amount of footage that has been released for The Force Awakens in the trailers, we still know very little about the story or where it is going (at least officially). But I'm ridiculously excited to see where this new trilogy is going to lead us. I'm happy that Johnson is one of the directors who will get to tell this story. I have no doubt he'll give us something awesome with Episode VIII.

The Force Awakens is set to be released on December 18th, 2015, and Episode VIII is currently shooting and set for release on May 26th, 2017.

Check Out China's IRON MAN Space Robot

Look! Up in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! It's...Iron Man? That's not how that phrase is supposed to end, but if you're a Chinese citizen, it may be something you actually say sometime soon if you look skyward.

THR points us to a story about a Chinese robot that's designed to look like famed Marvel superhero Tony Stark in his iconic armor.

According to Chinese state news agency Xinhua, the robot was built by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp., the government's leading space contractor. Named Xiaotian, which translates as “Little Sky," the humanoid bot is said to be capable of handling the "the harsh space environment and complex manipulation tasks." It was designed for deployment in a variety of space settings, including lunar landings, space stations or aboard unmanned space probes. Another Chinese news site says the robot's hands have dexterity comparable to human hands.

This appears to be the first robot of its kind that's influenced by a Marvel hero, but it makes me wonder: if they have an Iron Man, how long until they eventually build an Ultron? Hopefully they create the rest of the Avengers first...just in case.

Scarlett Johansson May Play Zoe Quinn in Gamergate Movie CONTROL ALT DELETE

$

Here's a prospect that will probably make people in the most vile corners of Gamergate extremely sexually confused: Scarlett Johansson, one of the world's most gorgeous women, is reportedly interested in playing video game developer Zoe Quinn, the focus of so much of the movement's hate, in a movie based on Quinn's upcoming book.

If you somehow missed the Gamergate controversy last year, consider yourself thankful: while its members supposedly wanted to address "ethics in video games journalism," it gained a reputation as an excuse for a vocal portion of them to lob death and rape threats at various women in the video game industry, driving many (including Quinn) from their homes and starting a larger cultural conversation about the serious nature of online harassment. From Deadline:

The movie deal was based on a proposal titled Control Alt Delete, and tells the story of how Quinn, creator of the hip interactive game Depression Quest, was targeted by a digital mob bent on upending her life when a blog post by her ex-boyfriend went viral. It sparked the widely-discussed Gamergate controversy and took a surprising turn when instead of running, she decided to fight back. It is a very inside look at gaming and nerd culture and what happens when one gets caught in the gears of that machine.

Plenty of digital ink has been spilled about Gamergate already, so I won't add more to the pile, but if you're truly unfamiliar with everything about it, this (really long) article has a great breakdown of everything you should know about it.

I'm guessing the fact that Quinn wrote a book about her experience and that ScarJo is interested in playing her won't be greeted favorably by the lagging remnants of Gamergate, and I imagine Johansson feels some level of kinship with Quinn because she probably experienced her own kind of online hell as a part of the whole celebrity nude hacking scandal not too long ago. Hopefully the eventual film will, first and foremost, be a good movie, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to deliver all of the conversations the controversy raised to a much larger audience, too.

There's a big Star Wars promotional event hitting Disneyland theme parks soon called Season of the Force. The event will include a Star Wars version of Space Mountain called Hyperspace Mountain, a new Star Tours experience that will feature an adventure from The Force Awakens, and more.

Today, Disney Parks released a preview video of what will be included in the new Star Tours segment, and it features the Millennium Falcon flying through the planet of Jakku, while trying to escape some TIE Fighters that are chasing it. As you'll see, it's very similar to what we've already seen in the trailers.

Everyone will get to experience this part of the ride during the Season of the Force Event, which launches on November 16th. After it's over, The Force Awakens segment will be permanently included in the attraction randomizer as part of its 72 possible ride experiences.

I also included two new banners for the film featuring Rey and Kylo Ren. We've been posting a lot of news about this movie recently, so to catch up on it all, just click here.

Updated: Mariah Carey to Play Gotham City Mayor in THE LEGO BATMAN Movie

Update: Borys Kit from The Hollywood Reporter says Carey will actually be playing the mayor of Gotham City, not Commissioner Gordon as Deadline originally reported. Bummer. That makes things considerably less interesting. Oh well. Original article follows.

If that headline [formerly "Mariah Carey to Play Commissioner Gordon in THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE...Wait, What?"] has you scratching your head, you aren't the only one. Deadline reports that Warner Bros. is in talks with Mariah Carey to provide the voice for Commissioner Gordon in The LEGO Batman Movie. No word on whether she'll sing in the film or not, but it seems unlikely that they'd cast her just for her speaking voice alone; this could be one of the most interesting interpretations of a Batman character in history.

Carey has acted before, notably in Precious: Based on the Novel "Push" by Sapphire, Lee Daniels' The Butler, and Glitter, and according to her IMDb, she's done some voice acting on a couple episodes of American Dad. If her deal goes through, Carey will join Will Arnett (Batman), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Michael Cera (Robin), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl), and Zach Galifianakis (The Joker) in the spin-off of the terrific 2014 film The LEGO MovieChris McKay (Robot Chicken, The LEGO Movie) is directing the spin-off from a script by Seth Grahame-Smith.

No more information has been provided (or uncovered) about this yet, but it seems a little strange that they'd cast Rosario Dawson as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon and then cast Carey as...her father? That's odd, isn't it? Even with the proliferation of gender-swapping projects flying around these days, this is a batty decision. (Pun most definitely intended.) I'm curious to see how it plays out, and we'll find out when The LEGO Batman Movie swoops into theaters on February 10th, 2017.

Michael Keaton Says Batman Would Kick Everybody's Ass in a Superhero Brawl

$

In 2014, former Batman Michael Keaton worked with former Hulk Edward Norton on Birdman, which eventually went on to win the Oscar for Best Picture. This year, Keaton worked with current Hulk Mark Ruffalo on Spotlight (my review here), a movie that could easily take home the same prize at the next Academy Awards ceremony.

While making the press rounds and promoting the new film, ABC News Radio asked the two actors which of their superheroic characters would have the upper hand in a fight, and Keaton responded:

"Everyone needs to stop asking the question of who could beat up who. Batman kicks everybody's a**. And if they won't, I will, Bruce Wayne will."

It's tough to parse exactly what Keaton might have meant by that last sentence without hearing the exact delivery in audio form. If people don't stop asking that question, he — Michael Keaton — will kick everybody's ass? He — Michael Keaton, who believes he's actually Bruce Wayne (?) — will? I'm not quite sure how to analyze that. (One thing's for sure: Keaton isn't threatened by any other incarnation of Batman.)

In any case, the part where he says "Batman kicks everybody's ass" is likely going to be what most geeks focus on, and I'm sure it will kick up a new chapter of that age-old debate about which superheroes would win in a fight. Have at it in the comments below, and let us know if you think Keaton's Batman could take down Ruffalo's version of the Hulk in a brawl.

Amazon Studios Will Release Nicolas Winding Refn's THE NEON DEMON Theatrically in Summer 2016

Nicolas Winding Refn, the visionary director of the Pusher trilogy and Drive, has been working on a new film called The Neon Demon for just over a year now, and the project has now found a home. Variety reports that Amazon Studios will release the film theatrically next summer before becoming available for Amazon Prime members, although no official date has been set at this time.

The film follows a young aspiring model who moves to Los Angeles and becomes consumed by a group of beauty-obsessed women who will do whatever it takes to have what she has. It stars Elle Fanning, Christina Hendricks, Keanu Reeves, and Jena Malone.

“One morning I woke and realized I was both surrounded and dominated by women," Refn said, describing the genesis of the project. "Strangely, a sudden urge was planted in me to make a horror film about vicious beauty.”

This is one of the first films acquired by the newly-launched branch of Amazon, along with Kristen Wiig's Desired Moments and Spike Lee's Chi-Raq. It sounds like a good fit for the company, and even though I wasn't a fan of Refn's Only God Forgives, I'm definitely intrigued at seeing what he does with his first film set in Los Angeles since Drive.

Toby Kebbell On FANTASTIC FOUR's Failure: "The Fans Aren't Wrong"

$

It's been a few months since the colossal failure of Fantastic Four, and one of the movie's stars is speaking out about the fallout from one of the worst superhero movies in recent years. Toby Kebbell, who played the ill-fated villain Victor Von Doom (aka Doctor Doom), was cast in Warcraft before Fantastic Four became a box office bomb, and while at BlizzCon promoting Warcraft, he spoke with IGN about his reaction to the film's terrible reception:

“I was disappointed, but the fans aren’t wrong. The fans want what they want to see and if they don’t get satisfaction, they let you know. I appreciate that as a performer. My job is to come in and perform as best I can, and hopefully be directed in that path, and I felt like I was. I felt like the film was going to go well. It didn’t turn out that the fans felt that way, so their reaction is honest, I can only appreciate honesty.”

When asked whether he learned anything playing Doctor Doom that he'd be able to apply to his career moving forward, Kebbell was very candid with his response:

"I don't know if I learned anything from Doom apart from, perhaps, when I see something I don't agree with, to voice that immediately. I think that's important. As an actor, you're very conscious that your career is at stake with each job, especially on these larger productions. A film like that comes out, and I'm being sent maybe four scripts in a week and those scripts go to zero when it doesn't come out successful. So it actively affects my career. I think it's vitally important that if there's a problem on set, that it's voiced and we solve it there, and I think that collaboration's very important. Not to say that didn't happen on set, but the collaboration is vital. If we don't do that, then we suffer."

I can only speak for myself here, but I really feel for the guy here. It must have been tough to endure a troubled shoot and have a big movie fail on such a massive level, and that's not even considering having to deal with all of the behind-the-scenes stories that came out about the production. Kebbell was far from the worst thing about the movie — that'd be the half-formed and half-assed script — but it still has to sting seeing opportunities vanish right in front of your eyes just from being associated with a bomb of that magnitude. Hopefully he'll be able to bounce back in a big way soon.

Video: The 10 Best Movies Never Made

$

One thing film fans like to talk about almost as much as movies they love are movies that had fantastic talent attached, but for some reason or another, never ended up making it to the big screen. Documentaries like Jodorowsky's Dune and The Death of Superman Lives: What Happened? have contributed to this conversation recently, and now ScreenRant is trying to keep it going with a video of their 10 Best Movies Never Made.

I'd heard about a handful of these before (Darren Aronofsky's Batman: Year One is common knowledge among Batfans, and the troubles around George Miller's Justice League Mortal were well-documented a few years ago), but there are also some cool details that I'd never heard before. For example, I knew The Beatles wanted to make The Lord of the Rings, but I didn't know about the casting in mind for each of the Fab Four. Check out the video below, and let us know which of these movies you'd want to see the most if they all existed.

John Wick 2 is adding some more bodies for Keanu Reeves to mow down in the upcoming action sequel. Deadline reports that Ruby Rose (Orange is the New Black, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter), Riccardo Scamarcio (Burnt), and Peter Stormare (Fargo) have all signed on to join Common, who's playing one of the villains, as the new kids on the block in the assassin thriller. As for John Leguizamo, Ian McShane, Bridget Moynahan, Tom Sadowski, and Lance Reddick from the first film? Yeah, they're thinkin' they're back.

We're not sure what is going to bring Reeves' title hero out of retirement this time (hopefully not the death of another dog), but the actor had some very interesting things to say about the film a little while back that may help us understand the thematic elements at play in the sequel:

“I think we have a really good premise, and it’s an organic premise. It’s basically — to me there’s John Wick and then there’s John. You know, John is the married guy whose wife just died, and that five years of his life. Then there’s John Wick, who’s the mythical assassin. In this, John Wick’s past comes and infiltrates John’s life and John Wick, in a way, has to fight for John.”

Filming is underway in New York and the production will head to Rome early next year (John Wick's going international, baby!). There's no official release date set yet, but trust me, I'll be keeping a close eye on this movie and I'll let you know when anything about it pops up that's worth writing about. I can't wait to check back in to The Continental and see what these crazy assassins are up to.
