35-Minute Supercut of Every Sylvester Stallone Kill on Film

0
0

How long does it take to watch a supercut of every single kill inflicted by Sylvester Stallone in his entire filmography? 35 freakin' minutes, which should give you an idea of just how many times this dude has ended someone's life on film. (Hint: it's a lot.) Yes, this supercut from Auralnauts cheats a little bit by including TV appearances, but Stallone is undoubtedly best known for his big screen exploits.

I certainly don't envy the task of trying to figure out an exact number of kills in the Rambo movies, but the supercut does a good job of slowing down occasionally and pointing out the specific people on screen that die by Stallone's hand (or bullets), as well as keeping a running tally in the bottom right corner of the screen for easy reference. I consider myself a Stallone fan, but the time it must have taken to compile this takes fandom to an entirely different level of devotion. Check it out below, and for something a bit lighter, watch this elaborate Rambo-themed surprise bachelor party video

Idris Elba in Talks For STAR TREK 3 Villain

0
0

Last we heard, Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston was rumored to be in contention for the villain role in Paramount's upcoming Star Trek 3. Now it appears the production is courting an actor from another of the greatest shows of all time for the same role: Variety reports that Idris Elba (The Wire, Prometheus, Thor) is in early talks for the villainous role, but there aren't any confirmed details about who exactly he'd be playing.

Early word indicated that the villains in this film would be the Klingons, a race that hasn't yet appeared in a major way in the new movies rebooted by J.J. Abrams. Frankly, I don't really care who the villain is, as long as Elba plays him. He's a stellar actor with a ton of range, and it'd be great to see him chew some scenery like Benedict Cumberbatch did in Star Trek Into Darkness.

Fast Five director Justin Lin is behind the camera this time, and Simon Pegg is co-writing in addition to keeping his role as Scotty. Star Trek 3 hits theaters in time for the franchise's 50th anniversary on July 8th, 2016. We'll be sure to update you with more information as it becomes available, but I'm interested in what you all think: would Elba make a good Star Trek villain?

Review: PARASYTE THE MAXIM

0
0
Wiki Synopsis: Parasyte centers on a 17-year-old teen named Shinichi Izumi, who lives with his mother and father in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo. One night, worm-like creatures called Parasites appear on Earth, taking over the brains of human hosts by entering through their ears or noses. One Parasite attempts to crawl into Shinichi's ear while he sleeps, but fails as Shinichi is wearing headphones, and enters his body by burrowing into his arm instead. In the Japanese version, it takes over his right hand and is named Migi (ミギー?), after the Japanese word for 'right';
Because Shinichi was able to prevent Migi from travelling further up into his brain, both beings retain their separate intellect and personality. As the duo encounter other Parasites, they capitalize on their strange situation and gradually form a strong bond, working together to survive. This gives them an edge in battling other Parasites who frequently attack the pair upon realization that Shinichi's human brain is still intact. Shinichi feels compelled to fight other Parasites, who devour humans as food, while enlisting Migi's help.

Earlier in the year, I featured Parasyte: The Maxim as a must watch anime due to its gore, horror, and animation elements. While I still stand by that initial analysis, I have to say the final half of the series is by far what makes this series a must watch. It's one thing to watch an Alien meets Bodysnatchers gore fest, and it's quite another to physically feel something upon its completion. Obviously I won't go far into the final half of the series for those who still have yet to watch it but, needless to say, things take a widely different turn from the series' beginning to its end.

Is the message deep? Is it one you've heard before? Not really. The way the story evolved to deliver the message while still keeping the show very much rooted in its gore and violence was fantastic storytelling you don't typically see in the horror genre. It's literally the first time I left a horror thriller feeling introspective as opposed to, "Wow, that was gross/scary/bad."

The series clocked in at about 9 hours, which (for what we were given) was fantastic. Complete, fleshed out, story with action, gore, and a message that makes you think? I've watched shittier for longer to be honest, and would not be recommending this to you if I thought it was "just okay." That being said, I did have one problem with the series.

The love interest, Satomi Murano, is just the worst. She is vital to the series, I'll admit, due to much of her significance being tied to the change in Shinichi's humanity. Because of this, there's not really much of a dynamic between the two as the series develops except she's there to tell him he's "changing", then one episode they bang. Seriously, it's just like: "I like you." And, "I like you too." Then bam they are in bed naked. It's so hilarious and out of the blue you can't help but chuckle at how easily she submits to the charm of a pseudo human who's essentially become another person over the past couple months. The best thing I can say is the relationship has no impact on the overall story, and once again the random banging literally made me lol.

Other than that, a lot in this series knocked it out of the park. Migi being a part of Shinichi really throws a different philosophy into the show's situations and makes you realize human perspective is, at times, just as twisted as the parasytes' perspective. The animation and fight scenes were always on point. There are no filler episodes, and things never got to bogged down in dialogue. So what more can I say? If you enjoy horror/sci-fi/violence, you are doing yourself a disservice if you're not watching this.

One final thing I failed to mention in my previous post — largely because I thought it would be terrible — is the live action movie. If you've seen live action adaptations of anime, you know they can be dodgy in production value and "okay" at best, but this one looks pretty solid.

I bring this up because the final half of the live action movie premieres next month. So if you watch the series, give this a watch, as well, as fans have been all about it.

Simon Pegg Talks About Writing STAR TREK 3 and Visiting STAR WARS Set

0
0

While promoting Kill Me Three Times, actor and writer Simon Pegg sat down with Collider. In the interview Pegg talks about the "Terrifying!" task of writing Star Trek 3 and how Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to blow our minds.

Pegg on switching from being just an actor in the Star Trek franchise to a writer too:

"On set, sometimes, there’s room for improvisation, especially for someone like Scotty who’s Scottish, but never anything more than little dialogue tweaks, here and there. Now it’s like, 'Okay, now you’ve got to write the dialogue.' It’s scary! Also, the timeframe we’re working in is extremely tight. It means we’re having to come up with the goods. We can’t be lazy about it. We can’t procrastinate. We have to come up with the stuff because the production is hammering on the door saying, 'When can we build this? What are we gonna we build? Who is in it?' I don’t know! Let’s [write] it and we’ll find out. It’s an interesting process."

On writing for established characters:

"It’s weird to walk into something and take ownership of it, in a way. Everything else that I’ve written has been mine, from the very germ of the first idea, or shared with Edgar [Wright] or Nick [Frost]. But with this, I’m walking into a realm that doesn’t belong to me, and I have to treat it with a degree of respect. Obviously, I always treat things with respect, [but] I have to abide by certain rules and do right by the original series, and not be too post-modern with it and not be too aware of itself. I have to try to take on the spirit of the show, rather than fill it with stuff that people will just go, 'Oh, yeah, that’s from episode something or other.' It’s more than that."

I'm very confident in Pegg's ability to write a great Star Trek film. This could put him on a slightly different career trajectory long-term.

Pegg on J.J. Abrams' approach to Star Wars:

"I’m immensely excited, having been lucky enough to visit the set. I’ve never been on a film set where everyone has been so invested in the material because they are emotionally and intrinsically linked to it, as people who work in an industry that was informed by the original films. Suddenly, they’re back in those environments, seeing those sets again and seeing J.J. work with real physical things, and models and puppets and masks. Also, the new technology will, of course, be involved in it. The original films were always about the cutting edge. They weren’t retro movies. They were very forward-thrusting, technological masterpieces, and as such, there will be that stuff. It’s going to be extraordinary. I’m so excited for people to see it. It’s going to be everything that we wanted 16 years ago and didn’t get."

This just backs up everything we've heard about how Abrams is approaching Star Wars. It's also great to see a huge Star Wars fan like Pegg gush about how good the film might be.

Pegg on taking his daughter to the Star Wars set:

"I took my daughter to the set, and she met BB-8, the droid you see in the trailer. She sat with him for ages, and just talked to him. The guys were operating it, just off camera, and she was there. I said, 'Come on, we’ve gotta go,' and she said, 'I just want to spend some more time with him and have another hug.' It’s just a ball with a thing on it, but it’s a testament to that character, how much he’s going to [have an] impact on audiences because he’s so full of life. And that goes across, for everything. Also, to see the old staples again is going to blow people’s minds."

I can't wait for the day when my kid is old enough to for me to introduce him to Star Wars"I'm so excited and I just can't hide it" pretty much sums up how I feel about The Force Awakens. I have the Star Wars: The Force Awakens release date of December 18th, tattooed on my forehead, best decision ever!

In the full interview with Collider, Pegg talks about working on Mission: Impossible: Rogue Nation and other stuff in the works.

Hot Toys AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Hawkeye Figure

So far Hot Toys has released images and details for its Black Window, Hulkbuster, Ultron "Prime," Captain America, and Iron Man armor Mark XLIII figures for Avengers: Age of Ultron. They have now released some great images of their newest figure that captures Jeremy Renner's steeled look as Hawkeye in Age of Ultron.

Via Hot Toys:

"The movie-accurate Hawkeye Collectible Figure is specially crafted based on the image of Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye in Avengers: Age of Ultron, featuring a newly developed head sculpt, new outfit, improved articulations for action poses, freshly designed bow and arrows, and a specially designed figure stand."

I like the long coat look a lot more than the vest he was rocking in the first Avengers. Let's hope he has more to do in this second time around. H/T: Comicbook.com for the images.

Legendary Announces PACIFIC RIM Comic Book Series

0
0

We already know that director Guillermo del Toro is prepping a big screen sequel to his robots vs. kaiju movie Pacific Rim, but the adventures are going to continue in comic book form. Legendary has just announced a comic book series is coming this fall called Pacific Rim: Tales from the Drift that will be presented by del Toro and have a story from Pacific Rim screenwriter Travis Beacham.

A continuation of the bestselling graphic novel Pacific Rim: Tales from Year Zero, the new Pacific Rim comic series will feature Jaegers never before seen in combat, squaring off against all-new Kaiju creatures.

Sounds pretty rad to me. I'd love to spend more time in the Pacific Rim universe, and the fact that del Toro and Beacham are directly involved and not just farming this out to another writer as essentially a piece of fan fiction means that it should have real, legitimate connections to the films and upcoming animated seriesJoshua Fialkov (The Bunker, I, Vampire, Elk’s Run) is writing, and Marcos Marz (Batman Confidential, Blackest Night: JSA) is providing the artwork, and we'll be able to pick up the first issue in November.

In addition to that, Legendary is also launching two new original comic series this year. The first is called Black Bag, which will feature Legendary's first female action hero and tell the story of a suburban housewife-turned-spy. Sounds a little like Mr. and Mrs. Smith, but I can totally see that being a great comic. Chris Roberson (Superman Grounded, Fables, iZombie) is writing, and the artwork will be by JB Bastos (Night Trap). Here's the synopsis:

A suburban housewife with a criminal past and a thirst for adrenaline is about to get a top-secret side job: carrying out the government’s most dangerous missions.
Renear is tired of playing by the rules. A valedictorian and top athlete in her younger years, she’s sacrificed a promising career to tie the knot and play house… isn’t there more to life than this? Of course there is - if you’re willing to take the shot.
It’s time the world found out what she is truly capable of.

And finally, the third comic Legendary is launching is a crime thriller called Cops For Criminals, from the mind of writer Steven Grant (Punisher War Journal, Avengers, Hulk, X) and featuring artwork by Pete Woods (Deadpool, Robin, Catwoman). Here's that synopsis:

When a federal agent becomes a victim of the system he has sworn to uphold, he finds true justice in the criminal underworld.
Agent Woods was one of the best – but everything changed when he was wrongfully convicted and labeled a traitor. After serving his time, this ex-convict is cut loose onto the lawless streets to fight corruption on both sides of the law. Even criminals need a code – and every code needs an enforcer.

Cool. I'm looking forward to seeing how they twist the tried-and-true genre conventions and put their own spin on that story.

What do you think? Are you looking forward to any of these?

Honest Trailer Rips MARIO PARTY 10 A New One

"It's the game you'd never admit to playing alone, because it's just as sad as throwing a party for yourself."

From where I stand, Nintendo doesn't have much of an excuse for continuing to pump out Mario Party games when fans are much more interested in modern era takes on Metroid, Zelda, and regular Mario. I mean, to some extent I understand where they're coming from: they're the video game company that's clearly geared toward younger audiences, and for some reason they think that kids might be more apt to buy something they can play with their friends than something that's primarily a single player experience. But really, when you watch this Honest Trailer, it's clear that Nintendo can do a lot better than this.

TERMINATOR GENISYS: New Details About Time Machines and Story

0
0

Peter Sciretta of /Film was able to visit the set of Terminator Genisys and he learned a lot of interesting details. His set visit post is pretty long, a lot of it we already know, thanks to the trailer, but it's a worthwhile read for die hard fans. I'm going to compress things down to just the newest, most interesting details.

Spoilers Ahead

  • Genisys is one part of a self contained trilogy, with subsequent sequels being shot back-to-back over nine months. It's a reimagining like J.J. AbramsStar Trek with an altered timeline. Genisys pulls heavily from the first two films, revisiting the same locations and wardrobe, but with a few new tweaks.
  • We will see time machines in 1984, 2017, and 2029 that are built with the tech available during the time period, giving each a unique look. Refrigeration of their components will be a common design thread.
  • The electromagnetic fields created by time travel will become a major story point.
  • Genisys digs into the idea of singularity, which might coincide with rumors about Matt Smith's character. Cyberdine has a large presence during the 2017 time period of the movie.

For the raw full details go to /Film.

Bonus: Today, Paramount Pictures UK released a motion poster that is pretty lame. The effects just don't look that great, I'm just not a big fan of motion posters.

Terrifying JAWS Art Reminds Me to Never Get in the Water

0

The ocean is unquestionably beautiful, but it also holds some of the most frightening creatures on our planet. When Steven Spielberg's Jaws entered theaters in 1977, it (along with Star Wars) introduced the term "blockbuster" to our culture and changed the course of film history forever. It also scared the crap out of just about everyone, and gave birth to the awesome Jaws 2 tagline "Just when you thought it was safe to get back in the water...".

This piece of art from Aaron Nakahara perfectly captures the sheer terror of the ocean, getting at the fact that though the surface may be calm and relaxing, there could be something horrifying nearby. It's a cool alternate take on the film's classic poster, giving a different perspective of a similar shark attack. Here's what the artist himself had to say about the piece:

Jaws, finishing up Villain Week with a really big fish.  He's pretty large in this image I guess (not too far off, proportionally-speaking, from the original movie poster I guess?), he's certainly been eatin' his Wheaties on his time off and is nearing Megaladon proportions. There's a bit of a therapeutic nature to drawing stuff like this, I have a fear of deep water, of giant sharks and giant squid...

You're not the only one, Aaron. I was thinking about going to the beach this weekend, but after seeing this piece, now I'm having second thoughts.

Bradley Cooper Lining Up A STAR IS BORN Remake as His Directorial Debut

0
0

A Star is Born has been made into three films already, and a new remake has been in the works for years. Initially, Clint Eastwood was set to direct the musical with Beyonce in the lead role, but her pregnancy delayed the start date before she ultimately dropped out of the project altogether. When she was still attached, there were a number of incredibly high-profile actors being considered for the male lead, including Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio. But now, years after the project went back into development hell, it appears to have new life.

THR reports that Eastwood's American Sniper star Bradley Cooper is in early talks to make his directorial debut with the film, which "centers on a movie star who helps an aspiring young actress find fame, even as age and alcoholism send his own career into a downward spiral." This is interesting not only because Cooper has wanted to direct for a long time and we were fascinated with what his first choice might be, but also because Cooper himself was also considered to play the lead role in Eastwood's version of this movie. That won't happen this time around - he'll produce and direct, not star - but it's obviously a project he has strong feelings for if he's willing to commit to it like this. And hey — if he sucks at directing, at least he has a career ahead of him as an air guitarist.

Will Beyonce return to star in the movie all these years later? Who will the male lead be now? We're still not sure, but we'll keep you updated as soon as we hear anything else.

5 Game Easter Eggs That Were Almost Never Found

Tony Wilson at Dorkly compiled a list of game easter eggs that took years to discover. In the age of the Internet, keeping stuff like this hidden seems nearly impossible. A few of the easter eggs were buried so well that after years of being unfound one developer just said, "Here it is, dummies" (thats not really what he said). Our video games are covered in secrets and lies! I'm not sure I'll look at them the same way again.

Steven Spielberg Will Direct READY PLAYER ONE For Warner Bros.

0
0

Ernie Cline's Ready Player One is a book that's tailor-made for fans of geeky genre stuff, and it's been something I've been dying to read for years. Now Variety reports that none other than Steven Spielberg has signed on to direct the film adaptation, which has been kicking around for a little while and has had people like Christopher Nolan on Warner Bros.' wishlist to direct. I'm sure they're pretty damn thrilled they've locked down Spielberg.

Zak Penn wrote the script based on Ernie Cline's novel, and here's the full synopsis for the book:

At once wildly original and stuffed with irresistible nostalgia, READY PLAYER ONE is a spectacularly genre-busting, ambitious, and charming debut—part quest novel, part love story, and part virtual space opera set in a universe where spell-slinging mages battle giant Japanese robots, entire planets are inspired by Blade Runner, and flying DeLoreans achieve light speed.
It’s the year 2044, and the real world is an ugly place.
Like most of humanity, Wade Watts escapes his grim surroundings by spending his waking hours jacked into the OASIS, a sprawling virtual utopia that lets you be anything you want to be, a place where you can live and play and fall in love on any of ten thousand planets.
And like most of humanity, Wade dreams of being the one to discover the ultimate lottery ticket that lies concealed within this virtual world. For somewhere inside this giant networked playground, OASIS creator James Halliday has hidden a series of fiendish puzzles that will yield massive fortune—and remarkable power—to whoever can unlock them.
For years, millions have struggled fruitlessly to attain this prize, knowing only that Halliday’s riddles are based in the pop culture he loved—that of the late twentieth century. And for years, millions have found in this quest another means of escape, retreating into happy, obsessive study of Halliday’s icons. Like many of his contemporaries, Wade is as comfortable debating the finer points of John Hughes’s oeuvre, playing Pac-Man, or reciting Devo lyrics as he is scrounging power to run his OASIS rig.
And then Wade stumbles upon the first puzzle.
Suddenly the whole world is watching, and thousands of competitors join the hunt—among them certain powerful players who are willing to commit very real murder to beat Wade to this prize. Now the only way for Wade to survive and preserve everything he knows is to win. But to do so, he may have to leave behind his oh-so-perfect virtual existence and face up to life—and love—in the real world he’s always been so desperate to escape.
A world at stake.
A quest for the ultimate prize.
Are you ready?

That sounds so awesome, and I sort of can't believe that someone as huge as Spielberg — who, let's face it, is probably the biggest director in the world — is on board. The story sounds so ambitious that maybe it needs someone on Spielberg's level to even try to bring it to life, and it'll be interesting to see if he keeps the references to projects that he has worked on over the years (like the flying DeLorean from Back to the Future). Spielberg has Bridge of Spies coming up next, and then The BFG right after that, and then Ready Player One is set to be his next film after that.

Check Out This 1950s Timelapse Video of Disneyland's Construction

This year marks the 60-year anniversary of Disneyland, which was built in 1954 and 1955 in Anaheim, California. To celebrate the occasion, Disney has released a cool timelapse video of the construction of Main Street, USA. Having been to Disneyland a number of times myself, it's totally surreal to watch this video; the place has a timeless quality to it, and it's strange to see the actual construction of the buildings I've walked into on Main Street. It's cool that the people at Disney had the foresight to think that a video like this might be worth watching one day, since this was one of the first full-scale amusement parks in the world and the only one created under Walt Disney's personal supervision.

X-MEN: APOCALYPSE — Lana Condors Cast as Jubilee

x-men-apocalypse-lana-condors-cast-as-jubilee-header.jpg

Director Bryan Singer took to Instagram to announce that Lana Condors, a complete unknown, has been cast as Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse. In previous films we've seen background characters that could have been Jubilee. Singer's announcement could mean we actually get to see Jubilee use her powers and maybe even become a core member of the X-Men team. All my knowledge of Jubilee is from the 90s animated X-Men series in which she was a clumsy whiny teenager. The movie is shooting in April so casting news has pretty much wound down on Apocalypse.

X-Men: Apocalypse will open in theaters May 27th, 2016 (USA).

I'd officially like to welcome our newest mutant #JubilationLee, #Jubilee @LanaCondor to #XMEN #Apocalypse

It's Hodor vs. Groot in a Ridiculous Rap Battle

Update: Apparently there are actually subtitles on this so you CAN understand what Groot and Hodor are saying! Thanks to Brian Fisher from The Warp Zone for the heads up. Original article follows.

Since Hodor, Groot, and Chewbacca can understand each other, I'm assuming that Hodor and Groot really enjoyed their rap battle in this video. I'm sure they were throwing all sorts of insults at each other, dropping sick rhymes, and maybe throwin' a little "yo mama" humor in there for good measure — unfortunately, though, we don't get any subtitles to understand what the heck they're saying. I have a feeling you know exactly how this rap battle between the Game of Thrones and Guardians of the Galaxy dudes is going to go down, but you should probably watch this anyway. And shout-out to the ladies cross-playing as Bran and Rocket: they make it look easy!

FANTASTIC FOUR's The Thing Revealed on International Billboard

0
0

Well, this is an odd choice. Fantastic Four fans have been wanting to get a good look at director Josh Trank's vision of The Thing for quite some time, and though some photos of the costume leaked out early (and were quickly removed), we still haven't really seen him in action and the movie comes out in just a few months. We didn't even get a great look at Ben Grimm in his rock form in the teaser trailer.

I was guessing that 20th Century Fox was waiting until the full trailer to unveil more of The Thing's new look, but apparently the marketing department decided to put him somewhere else first: an international billboard. Um...OK. That doesn't really make a whole lot of sense to me, but I'm also not in Fox's marketing department, so I'm sure they have their reasons, weird as they may be. Instagram user "albertoheineken26" saw the billboard and snapped a photo of him standing in front of it:

So...there you have it: the dramatic reveal of The Thing. On a billboard. Not exactly an awe-inspiring reveal or anything, but from what we can see, he looks pretty cool. Like I said, I'm sure we'll get a chance to see him in action when the next trailer comes out, which should probably sometime very soon. Fantastic Four hits theaters on August 7th, 2015.

Jason Segel and Drew Pearce Team For LEGO Movie THE BILLION BRICK RACE

0
0

I've been wondering what writer/producer/actor Jason Segel would do after he wrapped his years-long run on How I Met Your Mother, and now we have an answer: THR reports that he's teaming with Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation writer Drew Pearce to write and co-direct a new LEGO movie called The Billion Brick Race. That's basically all the information we have on the project at the moment, since it's still in early stages of development, but we do know that The LEGO Movie overlords Phil Lord and Chris Miller will produce alongside Dan Lin and Roy Lee.

The story details are being kept under wraps, but the movie will be based on an idea from Pearce that really excited the studio. This will be the first directing gig for Segel and Pearce, and I'm excited to see what they do in this optimistic brick universe. Segel, who wrote, produced, and starred in The Muppets, seems like an especially great fit for that world, while Pearce has experience writing the kind of action that could make the titular race something special for fans.

Meanwhile, Pearce is working on a new Ghostbusters movie with Channing Tatum (who co-starred in The LEGO Movie as Superman), so there's no word yet on a timetable for this film. The Billion Brick Race joins Ninjago, The LEGO Batman Movie, and The LEGO Movie 2 in Warner Bros.' upcoming brick-based pipeline, so expect more LEGO films over the next few years. Maybe one of those will eventually be nominated for Best Animated Film at The Oscars and help make up for the past sins of the Academy.

EW's Supercut of Badass Women in Film, TV, and Music

0
0

Do you have a favorite female movie character? Chances are pretty good she makes an appearance in Entertainment Weekly's new supercut, which celebrates all kinds of kick-ass women across film, television, and music history. We've featured supercuts sort of like this one before, but this one — from editor Jonathan Keogh and DJs Faroff and Tripp — averages 100 women per minute of its run time. It highlights modern movie heroines from Katniss Everdeen and Princess Elsa and goes all the way back to Norma Desmond from Sunset Boulevard, and features about a metric ton of musicians and TV actresses along the way.

It makes sense that EW would put something like this together since they run the "Women Who Kick Ass" panel at San Diego Comic-Con every year, and it's a cool "eff you" to those studio bigwigs smoking behind closed doors who still somehow think that women don't deserve equality in Hollywood.

Frustratingly, the supercut isn't embeddable, but click here to check it out.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Promo Material Gives Away Tons of Details

Minor Spoilers Ahead

CBM reports that Disney has released some "Fun Facts" about Avengers: Age of Ultron. I've been trying to find a Disney source to link to but haven't found anything yet, they might have been part of a press email. Without further ado, here are those "Fun Facts."

1. Hulk got a welcomed upgrade to his wardrobe with the addition of stretchy pants, which he wears underneath his clothes. No more will he be caught in the embarrassing situation of being half-naked in shredded clothing when he Hulks-out—the pants, made of high-tech, microfiber fabric, stretch with him.

No more rags for Hulk!

2. Thanks to Tony Stark’s engineering skills, Hawkeye received an upgrade to his weaponry. He now has many new arrow tips that serve different purposes. Some of these are explained in the movie and others the audience will just get the joy of seeing deployed on screen. Hawkeye’s quiver has also changed—it is more automated and faster loading, and is capable of holding nine arrows.
3. Hawkeye’s bow also received a makeover, with the classic black color being changed to maroon. Added features to the bow include an infrared-sighting device and a sonic-sighting device.

Let's hope Hawkeye gets to do more than stand on a building shooting arrows.

4. An exciting change was also made to Captain America’s shield. It now has the ability to be called back, much like the Iron Man suits. Instead of having two handles in the back, the shield now has a magnetic element that clips onto Cap’s gauntlet.

The shield sticking to Captain America's gauntlet was a great moment to see in the TV Spot.

5. Courtesy of Tony Stark, Black Widow gets to flaunt new fighting batons, which are based on Escrima Sticks. But Black Widow’s two sticks are charged exactly the same as her stingers, so when she jabs, she is not only striking her opponent, but delivering a massive jolt of power as well.

Her whole suit looks charged and a bit Tron-like in this poster. I wonder what other tricks it does.

6. On this film, production designer Charles Wood and his team built an enormous, new Avengers Tower set that is the largest set ever built for a Marvel film. Much of the movie takes place there on its many different levels. A large expanse of glass opens the view to New York City and one can also see a hangar for the Quinjet. The multiple environments are all connected, with the ability to move from downstairs to upstairs and vice versa.
7. The Avengers Tower set is designed to serve the story in multiple ways. In the movie, the Tower, designed and built by Tony Stark, is a gathering place for The Avengers—a place to plan, do business, relax or study. There is a lounge area, three laboratory areas plus a machine room, a gym, a relaxation area and a locker room. The Tower was also designed to provide everything Tony Stark needs for his work and research.
8. New characters entering the Marvel Cinematic Universe from the comic book world are Wanda (Scarlet Witch) and Pietro Maximoff (Quicksilver), who have powers that have not yet been seen on screen. Pietro is lightning fast and Wanda possesses the power of telekinesis, and she is able to fire neurons in people’s brains remotely using her powers and as a result can manipulate their minds.

If you haven't seen Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's character posters, check them out here. I'm really interested to see how they display Quicksilver's super-speed in the film.

9. Another new character on The Avengers team is Vision, played by Paul Bettany, who previously had voiced Jarvis in the Iron Man films. He’s an artificial life form whose look is truly unique. Vision’s powers are spectacular and he represents a new power base for The Avengers team.

So far only seen in leaked bits of merchandising promo art, the Vision is likely a reveal they are saving for the film.

10. The Hulkbuster is an iconic piece of Iron Man tech—a prebuilt super-suit designed to take on the Hulk. The Hulkbuster Armor was developed by Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, after they studied the Hulk’s physical actions and strength levels in an effort to find a way to contain him and minimize the damage caused by his rages. A satellite in low orbit is always around Banner and at a moment’s notice, Tony Stark can deploy the Hulkbuster armor, get into it and stop the Hulk in his tracks—theoretically.

My favorite "Fun Fact" on the list, essentially supporting this rumored breakdown of the Hulk vs Hulkbuster fight scene.

11. The redesigned Quinjet has a more militaristic look this time around and the pilots are now able to have a good look at the environment around them while flying. The design of the canopy was based on a helicopter cockpit with glass in front and below, which will give audiences a tremendous sense of speed when the Quinjet is flying through city airspace. The interior has been stripped down to a more utilitarian, sleek space as well, with many of the luxurious finishes and padding removed for an edgier look.
12. A unique asset to the production in Seoul was the use drones and remote control cars to put the camera in places that could never be achieved by camera operators or helicopters. The production enlisted the expertise of brothers Menstru Pa, who is the Korean National Champion in drone flying, and Pak Min Keu, who is the Korean National Champion in remote car racing.
13. Dressing the Super Heroes for a pivotal party scene was a task that fell to veteran costume designer Alexandra Byrne. Since it is the first time that Thor has ever been seen in party clothes, Byrne worked with Chris Hemsworth to find the right combination of jeans, jacket and shirt that would dress his shape and not look themed or fancy. Dressing Tony Stark was easier, especially since Robert Downey Jr. wanted a very sophisticated look. Subsequently it was off to London’s famous Savile Row for tailoring. After five fittings, Tony Stark emerged looking quite elegant.

Lots of interesting little bits to digest. Nothing crazy or mind blowing, they just fill out my mental picture of the movie. I'm pretty psyched and can't wait until May 1st.
