Cinema Sins released a new What's the Damage video, and this time they put the focus on Sylvester Stallone's action film Demolition Man. The video breaks down the cost of all of the damage that was caused in the movie.

In addition to having one of the most notoriously in-your-face product placements, the movie also contains a lot of damage. We decided to tally it up, in both dollars and futuristic "credits."

Will Bryan Singer Bring Gambit and Nightcrawler into X-MEN: APOCALYPSE?

Director Bryan Singer still has yet to reveal the characters that will appear in his X-Men: Apocalypse. We do know, however, that the movie will take place in the 1980s, and he will be introducing familiar characters in a younger time. Now in an interview with Cine Premiere, the director reveals that he is considering bringing Gambit and Nightcrawler into the fold. Here's what he said,

"I'm considering a Gambit and potentially a young Nightcrawler for Apocalypse. [I was] going to have Nightcrawler appear [in Days of Future Past] and even wrote a scene, but I felt that we were forcing too many mutants known history."

I would love to see Gambit back in action, so it will be fun to see if Singer actually follows through with it. We do know that X-Men producer Lauren Shuler Donner wants to make a standalone Gambit movie with Channing Tatum, so maybe this could lead to that. X-Men: Apocalypse will hit on May 26th, 2016.

AMC has released a new poster for The Walking Dead teasing the last two episodes of season 4. It asks the question… "Who will arrive?" I have no idea what the answer to that question is, but it's doesn't look good. I really don't want to see any more of the main characters die this season, but I'm afraid that's what's coming.

I haven't watched Napoleon Dynamite in years, but here are a couple of digital illustrations of the character that were done by Tony Reynolds. It actually might be fun to revisit this movie, but it got really annoying when it seemed like the whole world started quoting it all the time.

Jennifer Lawrence was one of the best parts of American Hustle. I'm sorry, but she's just an amazingly talented actress, and I'll watch her in anything. Thanks to Entertainment Tonight we have a deleted scene from the movie for you to watch featuring Lawrence lip-syncing to Santana’s "Evil Ways" while cleaning her apartment. In the final cut of the film she does the same scene to the song "Live and Let Die."

Lionsgate has released a second re-band trailer for James McAvoy's insane new film, Filth. This looks like a twisted, deranged, yet entertaining, movie.

The supporting cast includes Jamie Bell, Imogen Poots, Jim Broadbent, Eddie Marsan, Joanne Froggatt, Emun Elliott, Martin Compston, and Kate Dickie. It's also based on a book by Trainspotting author Irvine Welsh, and this is the synopsis:

A bipolar, bigoted, junkie cop manipulates and hallucinates his way through the festive period, until he finally meets his match… himself.

Scheming Bruce Robertson (James McAvoy), a bigoted and corrupt policeman, is in line for a promotion and will stop at nothing to get what he wants. Enlisted to solve a brutal murder and threatened by the aspirations of his colleagues, including Ray Lennox (Jamie Bell), Bruce sets about ensuring their ruin, right under the nose of unwitting Chief Inspector Toal. As he turns his colleagues against one another by stealing their wives and exposing their secrets, Bruce starts to lose himself in a web of deceit that he can no longer control. His past is slowly catching up with him, and a missing wife, a crippling drug habit and suspicious colleagues start to take their toll on his sanity. The question is: can he keep his grip on reality long enough to disentangle himself from the filth?

The movie hits VOD on April 24th and limited theaters May 30th.

NBC has released a teaser and a poster for their small screen adaptation of Ira Levin's novel, Rosemary's Baby. The book was previously adapted into a creepy horror film directed by Roman Polanski. The miniseries stars Zoe Saldana, Patrick J. Adams, and Jason Isaacs.

In the story, "Rosemary is the iconic young wife and would-be mother who, with her husband, moves into a Paris apartment that has a darkly storied past. After finally getting pregnant, she becomes increasingly suspicious that both her husband and their mysterious neighbors have ulterior motives about the future of her child."

I enjoy watching footage like this because it's interesting and fun to see moviemaking in action.

Damn, Lou Ferrigno is still freakin' huge and ripped! It looks like he could easily tear Chris Hemsworth in half. This fun photo of Stan Lee breaking up a fight between Hemsworth's Thor and Ferrigno's Hulk comes from Wizard Con in Sacramento, CA. I personally think Stan should just let them go at it. I would love to see this fight!

Check out this fun series of Star Wars trilogy art created by Daniele Rossini. I really like this style as it's a lot brighter than most of the Star Wars fan posters that I've seen. Most of the others tend to be on the darker side. I also really like the how certain classic elements of the films were incorporated into the symbols.

Marvel has released the 117th TV spot for Captain America: The Winter Solider for your viewing enjoyment, and guess what!? It has more new footage! I've been told the last few TV spots that have been released have had spoilers in the them, but having not seen the movie yet myself, I don't notice or see what those spoilers could be. I didn't mean for that last part to rhyme, but I guess it did. Anyway, enjoy the new spot if you decide to watch it!

STAR TREK 3 Co-Writer Discusses Script Development Themes

Star Trek 3 co-writer J.D. Payne spoke at the LDS Film Festival last month and revealed a few details about their mindset for the third film. He doesn't give any story details, but he does discuss what the themes of the story could be.

We're trying to set up a kind of situation where you really could — and not in just an 'everything's relative' sort of moral relativism — you could be a good person of any creed or philosophical background and come down on both sides of how you should respond to this opportunity that the crew has.... that also has some pitfalls to it. Where you could argue very, very, very compellingly that 'this' is what you should do, and if you're advocating 'this' then it's actually evil.

It's sort of the Adam and Eve thing, where should we eat the fruit or not eat the fruit? Well, there are some very compelling reasons why they should and why they shouldn't. So, similar kinds of things here that really give the whole movie and opportunity to sort of play with that, and have people come down on different sides and wrestle with it; then come to an ending where you can walk out and say, 'You know, I don't know what I would do.

It definitely sounds like they are looking to spark some good discussions among the fans. He also says at the time that they've pitched the story to Paramount and they are by now working on the first draft of the script, which he thinks will be done by May. Thanks to TrekCore.

Official Photos of Dwayne Johnson as HERCULES

The first trailer for Dwayne Johnson's Hercules is scheduled to hit this Tuesday, but while we wait here are a few official photos from the film, a couple of which give us our first real look at Johnson in the title role. I'm not a big fan of the armor that he's wearing in the photo above as it actually makes him look smaller than he should be. Especially when you compare it the the last picture below. When talking about the film the actor said that he was "born" for the role,

"It's when Hercules breaks through the chains and becomes the demi-god he was born to be, I was actually yelling with all the power I could muster, 'I am Hercules!' I gave it my all and made myself pass out every time we did it. But I honestly felt in that moment that I was born to play this role."

He went on to talk about how he prepared for the role on his Facebook page,

"I trained and worked harder than ever for 8 months for this role. Lived alone and locked myself away (like a moody 260lb monk) for 6 months while filming. Goal was to completely transform into this character. Disappear into the role.

"Press journalist asked me today, with the mental and physical toll the role had on me, would I do it again? Not only would I do it again… but I'd do it f*cking twice."

It sounds like he has given the part every ounce of energy he had. I hoper it pays off for him. I'm still worried about the film because it was directed by Brett Ratner. Here's the synopsis.

Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend… Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

The movie comes out on July 25th!

Writer Greg Weisman is best known for creating Disney's epic 1990s series Gargoyles, but he's also worked on a ton of other projects over the course of his career. I've been a fan of his work since Gargoyles, and he recently published a book called Rain of the Ghosts that I think a lot of you would enjoy. He has also been working on the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels animated series for Disney and Lucasfilm, which is sure to be a hit.

Weisman was kind enough to take the time to answer a few questions for us regarding Gargoyles, Rain of the Ghosts and Star Wars Rebels. He shares his thoughts on a Gargoyles feature film, goes into detail about his new book, talks about his excitement for Star Wars Rebels, and answers a few other general questions. Our exclusive interview is definitely an interesting read, so check it out below!

Gargoyles questions:

Gargoyles was one of the best series that Disney ever produced. Why did it end only after 3 seasons?

Well, it really ended after TWO seasons. Gargoyles was a syndicated series that reached its target of 65 episodes by the end of Season Two. Having achieved that 65-episode syndication package, Disney didn’t have enough incentive to continue, because though we were always a solid hit in the ratings – a single or a double – Gargoyles was never a home run. (I’m afraid Power Rangers consistently beat us head-to-head.)

In an unrelated development, Disney purchased the ABC network, and that network needed ‘Boys’ programming for its Saturday Morning block. So they ordered a season of Gargoyles: The Goliath Chronicles. But that season was made without the participation of most of the creative staff behind the series’ first two seasons, including myself and Frank Paur, the producers. Creatively, I believe the show suffered. In any case, the ratings were dreadful, so the series was cancelled.

Who is your favorite Gargoyles character and why?

I don’t have a single favorite character. That’d be like choosing between my children. But the show revolves around Goliath. He is the prism through which we reinterpreted the old comedy development of the series to create the show everyone has seen.

Is there any thing you would have done differently with the Gargoyles series?

Little things. In “Grief,” I would have let the Pack shoot our heroes, since death was suspended. In “The Hound of Ulster,” I would have had Cu Chullain’s armored remains in his burial mound. But there’s nothing big I would do over.

Has there ever been any talk of a live action movie? Because it needs to happen, does Disney know it needs to happen?

Over the years, there has. But nothing current. Disney doesn’t seem interested in developing a movie based on the series at this time. I obviously hope that changes.

Rain of the Ghosts questions:

You recently wrote a new book called Rain of the Ghosts, which was published by St. Martin’s Press. What’s the story behind the book, and what inspired you to write it?

Rain of the Ghosts was one of the first ideas I developed after Gargoyles back in the mid to late 90s. It’s about a young girl, Rain Cacique, who lives with her parents and grandfather on a chain of tropical islands known as the Ghost Keys, or more simply, the Ghosts. Rain’s parents work in the tourist industry, and Rain feels trapped in a life of making beds and cutting bait for an endless series of more and more tourists. Her grandfather, Sebastian Bohique, gives Rain a family heirloom, a gold armband, which gives her the ability to communicate with ghosts, and Rain soon learns she has a destiny – and a mission.

The inspiration was really the mythology of the Caribbean, especially that of the Taíno Indians, which is rich and yet largely unexplored by pop culture. It’s fertile ground, and I had a blast exploring it in Rain.

What are some aspects of the book that you think will grasp readers and pull them in?

I think the omniscient narrator of this story is unique. I think the setting is both unique and specific. Rain’s world – both the mystical and the mundane – is, I believe, fully realized and populated by a large cast of characters. And hopefully Rain herself will interest readers. She has strong relationships with her parents, her Papa `Bastian, and her best friend Charlie Dauphin. She’s smart and resourceful but very human and flawed. Plus we have adventure, action, romance, humor, horror and all sorts of good things. Frankly, if folks like my work in animation, they’ll like Rain, as well.

Has there been any interest in adapting Rain into an animated or live action film? Is that something you would want to do?

Love to. We’re taking it around. Keep your fingers crossed.

Do you plan on writing a sequel?

Rain of the Ghosts is the first book in a series of nine. The second book, Spirits of Ash and Foam, is already written and will be out on July 8th, 2014. I’ve just started work on the third book in the series: Masque of Bones.

Star Wars Rebels questions:

You're currently working on Star Wars Rebels. How excited are you to be working on such a high profile animated project?!

Extremely. I love the Star Wars franchise, in particular Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, which is very close to the time period we are focusing on in Rebels. It’s really like a dream come true.

What is one of your favorite things about working on Star Wars Rebels so far?

Well, it’s hard to top our voice recording sessions. We have a stellar cast. Steve Blum as Zeb Orrelios, Taylor Gray as Ezra Bridger, Freddie Prinze, Jr. as Kanan Jarrus, Vanessa Marshall as Hera Syndulla, and Tiya Sircar as Sabine Wren. Plus our guest actors (still a secret) have all been great too. So those sessions are a true highlight.

But it was also really great breaking the stories for Season One with fellow executive producers Dave Filoni and Simon Kinberg. That was very exciting.

Out of all the characters that have been revealed so far, which one do you think the hardcore Star Wars fans are going to like the most?

I think for very different reasons, all five of our regulars – plus our droid Chopper – will be breakout fan favorites.  They’ve all got great stories to tell and terrific attributes.  Honestly, they all rock!

General questions:

In the course of your career what would you say your favorite project that you worked on has been and why?

Well, I’ve enjoyed nearly everything I’ve worked on, including Captain Atom, W.I.T.C.H., Roughnecks: The Starship Trooper Chronicles, The Spectacular Spider-Man, Young Justice, Rain of the Ghosts, and most recently Star Wars Rebels. But Gargoyles is really my baby. It’s hard to top that.

What kind of advice do you have for any aspiring writers out there trying to make it in the business?

READ. READ and WRITE. READ, WRITE and PROOFREAD. Over and over and over. Then, I guess I’d advise moving to where the work is. Once you have a career, you can work from anywhere, but to get a career, you need to be able to knock on doors, take lunches, etc.

What would you say your top 5 favorite movies of all time are?

Hmmm. Let’s see… In no particular order: Robin and Marion. Risky Business. Betty Blue. CasablancaShakespeare in LoveThe Empire Strikes BackOne Hundred and One DalmationsThe Great Mouse DetectiveFerris Bueller’s Day Off. RanHenry VStar Trek: The Wrath of KhanMuch Ado About Nothing. (That’s at least five, right?)
