For those of you who enjoyed Marvel's Ant-Man, the full fight sequence between Ant-Man and Falcon has found its way online for you to enjoy. This was such an entertaining scene, and it would have been even more awesome if Marvel would have held back on using Falcon in the marketing material. I guess they really wanted to make sure audiences knew that this movie was connected to the rest of the MCU. I would have loved not knowing that Falcon was going to make an appearance, but once the studio started including him in the trailers, there's not much you can do about that. It was really fun to see how this sequence paid off at the end of the movie, offering fans a little set-up for Captain America: Civil War. 

Ant-Man had such a different vibe than the rest of the Marvel films, which I thought was refreshing. As we get closer to Doctor Strange, that tone is going to change even more, because we will be getting into the whole supernatural realm of the Marvel Universe, which is going to open up some crazy mind-blowing possibilities. THR recently revealed that Twentieth Century Fox picked up the rights to The Fall of the Gods, which is a crowd-funded graphic novel. Fox has also pegged The Maze Runner director Wes Ball to direct. The story will have “the intent to bring back a more Scandinavian stamp on Norse mythology.” 

The story is set in a realm with two races — humans and the jotnar, and it centers on a warrior named Vali who found peace in the arms of a woman. According to the synopsis:

“For years he has lived far from society, tending to his farm and trying to forget the battles he fought…and the crimes he committed. But one day his love disappears, and he must set out to find her. He will once again have to face the creatures of Jotunheim and the powerful Aesir. Suddenly, the man he thought he had buried deep down inside has risen to the surface once more...and he comes seeking vengeance."

With the success of The History Channel's TV series Vikings, this is a perfect time for a story like this. I am interested to see what they are going to do with this.  

Last week we learned that the popular street artist Banksy had set up a dreary parody of Disneyland that he called Dismaland. This is a “bemusement park” that is being billed as "the UK's most disappointing new visitor attraction." The artist released a trailer for the park that you can watch below.

Dismaland features several pieces by a slew of artists, and the event also features an hourlong program of 24 short films by several filmmakers. You can watch all of those shorts below the Dismaland trailer. I've watched many of these shorts in the past and have even posted a few of them on the site already. Make sure to check them all out when you get a chance.

The exhibit is located at the Tropicana in the North Somerset, England-based resort town of Weston-super-Mare, and the show features artwork from several different artists. The exhibit will also include live music and comedy events every Friday night to entertain the visitors.

As you know, Star Wars is a hot item these days, especially with The Force Awakens coming out later this year, so we've seen a lot of Star Wars elements being implemented in the marketing of other products. It's been really interesting to see. This latest trailer for DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda 3 does exactly that. As you'll see, it's heavily inspired by Star Wars, using the whole "I am your father" Darth Vader bit.

When Po's long-lost panda father suddenly reappears, the reunited duo travels to a secret panda paradise to meet scores of hilarious new panda characters. But when the supernatural villain Kai begins to sweep across China defeating all the kung fu masters, Po must do the impossible—learn to train a village full of his fun-loving, clumsy brethren to become the ultimate band of Kung Fu Pandas!

This next chapter in the story was directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson, who also brought us Kung Fu Panda 2. Jack Black returns as the voice of Po, along with Gary Oldman, Dustin Hoffman, David Cross, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Yeoh, Mads Mikkelsen, Danny McBride, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, James Hong, and Bryan Cranston.

Kung Fu Panda 3 is set to hit theaters on January 29th, 2016.

What is this world coming to?! It's stuff like this that makes me roll my eyes at the world we live in. An elementary school somewhere in the U.S. of A. sent a little girl home with a note telling her parents that the Wonder Woman lunchbox she brought to school was not appropriate and that she wasn't allowed to bring it back on campus. Why? You ask. Because it violates the school dress code by apparently showing "violent images," and characters who “solve problems through violence."

This is the letter that was posted by an imgur user, and below that you can see the actual lunch box in question.

No! Superheroes DO NOT "certainly" fall into that category! Are they insane?! As you can see in the images below, the lunchbox shows absolutely no violence whatsoever. Wonder Woman has a huge smile while she runs with her lasso of truth, which she doesn't even use as a weapon. The other image is comic book style portrait of the character. What the hell is so offensive or violent about that? She's a freakin' superhero that saves lives, and she's a role model for young ladies.

I understand the whole violent image thing in a school. But this lunchbox does not fall under the category of violence at all, and anyone that thinks so needs to have their head examined. It's absolutely absurd. If my kids ever got a note like that, I would go to the school and educate those people in what superheroes really are, because clearly they've never read a comic book or watched a Marvel film. Then I'd send my kids back to school with the same lunchbox every day just to piss them off. 

I came across this news at The Mary Sue, and they offer up some very good points about this ridiculousness, saying: 

"However, even more nonsensical is their blanket ban on 'violent characters' who 'solve problems using violence,' when anyone who’s ever actually picked up a comic book knows that most superheroes 1) turn to violence as a last resort, and usually in self-defense, or when the lives of others are in danger, 2) don’t want to kill anyone, and 3) often have other skills that make them so 'super' and are worth looking up to (Batman’s power of deduction, Superman’s belief in humanity, Wonder Woman’s love of peace)."

Yes! Thank you! This is the kind of school I wouldn't want my kids going to. Next thing you know they'll start burning comic books. 

Cliff Bleszinski (Unreal Tournament, Gears of War) and Arjan Brussee (Killzone) have unleashed a trailer for their newest video game, LawBreakers.

There's no gameplay footage here, but this video does a good job of setting up the world in which the story takes place, detailing the disastrous effects of The Shattering (an explosion of the moon caused by mysterious government activity), the subsequent changes to Earth, and the rise of gangs that must be quelled by global police units. Apparently a new gameplay trailer will be available tomorrow, so stay tuned for that if this looks like something you're interested in.

David Fincher's Fight Club is one of the filmmaker's most important movies, because even though it wasn't his directorial debut, it established him as a director with a voice and style all his own. The film is definitely meant for adults, though, so it's always a little jarring to see anything that takes its subject matter and translates it for a younger crowd, as is the case with this G-rated animated video from The Fine Brothers.

Thanks to Empire Magazine, we have a couple more behind-the-scenes Star Wars: The Force Awakens photos for fans to enjoy. We also have a cover for the magazine featuring the lovable looking droid BB-8. Just yesterday, we posted several details about how the Lucasfilm team created BB-8 from concept to final completion, and you can read all about that here. 

The other two images released feature John Boyega, who plays one of the main characters, Finn. He's a Stormtrooper for The First Order who ends up finding himself in a situation that takes him on an adventure of a lifetime.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi, and features a new generation of swashbuckling heroes and shadowy villains, as well as the return of fan-favorite smugglers, princesses, and Jedi.

The film will be released in theaters on December 18th, 2015.

When I was a kid, I had a Transformers-themed birthday party, and I had a cake with a crudely drawn Optimus Prime on it made out of colored icing. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would see an Optimus Prime cake that actually transformed, but that's exactly what this kid got for his sixth birthday! His dad, Russell Munroe, made him the custom birthday cake that transforms from Prime's truck form into the robot hero. You can watch the cake in action in the video below. I also included a video that shows us the mechanics of what lies under all that cake and frosting.

SPOILER WARNING!

When it was announced that Marvel was going to make Captain America: Civil War, fan speculation began on which of the Avengers would team up with Captain America and which ones would join forces with Iron Man. 

Thanks to CBM, we now know who makes up each of these teams because of some promo art for the film that they managed to get their hands on. If you don't want to know who makes team Cap and team Iron Man, then don't go any further. 

On team Iron Man, we have War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther and Vision. He may not be in the image, but we also previously learned that Spider-Man will be on his team as well. Then if Bruce Banner is in the film, we all know whose side he will choose. 

On team Captain America, we have Bucky Barnes, Sam Wilson, Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Sharon Carter. Then there's Scarlet Witch, who is also not included in the art, but will be fighting for Cap's cause.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

I missed out on the whole Pokemon craze when it was at a fever pitch in the late '90s, so I'm not super familiar with the opening sequence of the anime TV series. But thankfully, YouTuber Merfish has not only recreated the scene in Grand Theft Auto V, but he's created a side-by-side comparison video for people like me who didn't grow up watching the show. It's ridiculous, as you might expect from a video that uses humans in place of Pokemon species, but it's also pretty funny.

Side note: In my list of the best movie moments this summer, I almost included one for Paper Towns in which the main characters sing the Pokemon theme song together to build up enough courage to overcome a frightening situation, and seeing this reminded me of that scene, so if you're a Pokemon fan, there's at least one moment in that movie you'll enjoy.

Ridley Scott is loving his return to science fiction. He got back into it with Prometheus a few years ago, has The Martian coming out later this year (though that one may be more along the lines of "science fact" than science fiction), and we've heard rumors he's gearing up to shoot Prometheus 2 this January — although the studio has been strangely quiet about that.

Now Scott himself has confirmed that he's looking to continue his search for answers throughout the galaxy. In a new interview with Empire, he says it without even being prompted:

They faced another challenge when [The Martian's] release date was brought forward. But according to [star Matt] Damon, the typically fast-working Scott didn’t worry. “Ridley was done with the movie about two weeks after we shot!” he smiles. “I was already on to my next movie!” adds Scott. “I was starting to look for locations for my next movie, which is Prometheus 2.”

It doesn't get much clearer than that. I'm guessing that adds some credibility to those discussions about how Scott wants Prometheus 2 to arrive before Neill Blomkamp's Alien sequel. Expect an official announcement from 20th Century Fox soon.

We've got some more fun stuff for you to check out from Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. One of the things that I love about these Marvel films is that even months after they are released in theaters there's still cool stuff to see from them. 

Today we have two bonus features that offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the film. One of the videos focuses on the twins, Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson). The second video centers around James Spader as Ultron, and what it was like for the cast and crew to work with him.

Before you watch those videos, though, let's get into an Easter egg in the film that was discovered by a fan and posted on the MCU fanpage. The Easter egg connects Ulysses Klaue (Andy Serkis) to Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman).  In the movie there's a brief glimpse of a file on Klaue, which is pictured below:

In case you don't have supervision and can't read that, here's a transcript:

Ulysses Klaue was an assassin hired to take down T’Chaka at the Bilderberg conference in the case that he refused to negotiate Wakanda’s resources including Vibranium. But, Klaue was also there personally, as the Panther killed his great-grandfather in the 19th century while this one was trying to annex Wakanda. He was paid ten million dollars for the kill.

As most of you already know, T’Chaka is the father of T’Challa a.k.a. the Black Panther. In the comics, Klaue goes to Wakanda for its vibranium. Klaue ends up killing T’Chaka in front of his son after he doesn't give up his nation’s supply. There's no information on how much of the comic's story will be in the movie, but I'm sure some of it will be there. 

There's no indication in the file that Klaue succeeded in the assassination. Just that he was hired to do it. According to certain things that Kevin Feige has said, T’Chaka is still alive in the MCU. I'm sure some of the holes in the story will be filled when Captain America: Civil War is released.

Since the initial roster for WWE 2K16 was announced, there have been two additional updates, which brings the total so far to 57 . Some of the highlights from this latest batch include Diamond Dallas Page, Cesaro, Alicia Fox, Kevin Nash, Rick Flair, and of course, Sting.

While the increased number of grapplers is substantial, the biggest thing that sticks out is the movement speed in the ring. In the Brock Lesnar vs. Seth Rollins match above, you can see how much more fluid the wrestlers' movements are. Slamming an opponent, then hustling over to drop a knee on their arm, followed up quickly with a submission hold, all happens within a quick turnaround time. In the previous iteration, these moves would still happen, but with long halts of momentum in between. At times it felt like steering a Mack Truck, especially with the bigger wrestlers. Hopefully the matches feel as fluid as they look.

We’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, though, check out Tyson Kidd and Cesaro’s entrance, as well as some additional screens below.

We've been hearing about Michael Fassbender's Assassin's Creed movie for years, and today we finally get our first look at Fassbender as a character named Callum Lynch. This is an original character that is not from any of the video games in the franchise. 

The actor sure does look great in his costume. It pretty much looks like what I expected we would see. The photo comes from 20th Century Fox and New Regency, and they also released an official description for the film:

Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.

So even though the main character has a new name, it sounds like the film will still follow the story and concept of the game. I'm a fan of this franchise, and with the talent involved with bringing it to life on the big screen, it might just turn out to be as awesome as we hope it will be. 

The movie also stars Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises), and it's being directed by Justin Kurzel (Snowtown, Macbeth). Production is set to begin this coming Monday, and it will shoot in Malta, London, and Spain.

Platinum Games' Transformers: Devastation video game looks like it could be the greatest Transformers game ever made. One of the things I love about it most is that it looks exactly like the classic 1980s cartoon series that I grew up watching. It offers an explosion of nostalgia! These are the styles and designs that I wish Michael Bay would have used in his movies. There's no doubt in my mind that this game is going to deliver a super-punch of awesomeness for anyone who plays it, but especially for the fans who grew up on the original cartoon. The trailer highlights each character's unique brand of destruction. 

In an interview with PlayStation Blog , game producer Robert Conkey talked about the game:

"Platinum Games spent a lot of time trying to match each character’s personality with a complementary fighting style. Bumblebee, for example, attacks faster than any other Autobot, but he sacrifices a fair amount of power. And Wheeljack’s mechanical ingenuity translates into an attack pattern that centers on ranged weapons."

Conkey goes on to explain that "along with their individual sense of style and timing, every character also has his own set of unique moves and mechanics. So, just because you’ve mastered Optimus Prime’s combos doesn’t mean that Grimlock will be a cakewalk."

BloodBlitz Comedy cut together a Harry Potter fan trailer that shows us what the films might be like if Harry Potter was the villain of the story. The scenes from the movies are cleverly edited together, and I think fans of the franchise will get a kick out it. Let's be honest with ourselves, though, sometimes Harry was an asshole. 

Looks like all the griping on the internet paid off. In early August the development team behind Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 changed what many were calling it's "low tech" graphics to a more cel shaded fluid look. I think we can all agree this new style, while still not cutting edge next gen, is much better than the previous product we were shown. Robomodo CEO Josh Tsui explained the switch in design to Gamespot:

Whatever the reason, I'm satisfied! I got a bit of flak for being so rough on the design when I wrote about it a couple months ago, but looks like the collective "we" actually changed the game for the better...not that I'm looking for vindication or anything...just sayin. We also see a couple of the new skaters featured in the roster for the game, one of which is Hawk's son Riley. The game launches September 29th on multiple platforms (sorry, Wii U).

I've been wanting to see a Galaxy Quest sequel for years, but since it doesn't look like that's ever going to happen, Amazon Studios has decided to develop a TV series based on the hilarious sci-fi comedy. 

There's no word on whether any members of the original cast from the movie will return to reprise their roles, but I seriously doubt all of them will. The 1999 film starred Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Sam Rockwell, Tony Shalhoub, and Daryl Mitchell. They played actors from a once popular sci-fi Star Trek-like TV series who are abducted by aliens so that they can help them survive a villainous alien force. The thing is, the aliens don't know that the show is fake. 

The director of the original film, Dean Parisot, and co-writer Robert Gordon are both attached to develop the series, which gives me hope that the series will be decent. Parisot will direct the pilot episode.

As a huge fan of the movie, it's exciting to know that this is actually happening, I just wish it wasn't happening on Amazon. I just don't like watching shows on Amazon. Regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing how this series turns out.

Universal Pictures has released eight featurettes for Jurassic World, which was a huge hit at the box office. The videos will be included on the upcoming DVD/Blu-ray released, and they offer us a fun behind-the-scenes look at the film. They feature director Colin Trevorrow, producer Steven Spielberg, star Chris Pratt, and more talking about the process behind bringing Jurassic World to life. It also includes a lot of footage from the set of the film, and you get a glimpse of what it was like for the cast and crew to work on such a huge movie. 

The movie will be released on DVD/Blu-ray on October 20th. My family and I had an absolute blast watching this movie. It was the sequel that Jurassic Park deserved, and it's definitely a film that I think is worth buying.
