Am awesome new trailer has been released for the the great looking stop-motion animated zombie film ParaNorman. The movie was created by the stop motion animation studio Laika, which is the same studio that developed Coraline. ParaNorman was written and directed by Coraline storyboard supervisor Chris Butler and Sam Fell (The Tale of Despereaux, Flushed Away).
I think this movie looks awesomely entertaining, and there's no doubt my kids are going to love it. For some reason they are obsessed with Zombies and this is a zombie film they can actually watch. My kids are the kind of kids that cry because I tell them they aren't allowed to watch The Walking Dead. It's crazy! Anyway, I'm excited to see this movie, it looks like it is going to be a lot of fun, and I love the style.
The voice cast includes, Kodi Smit-McPhee (Let Me In, The Road) in the lead, with Casey Affleck, Tempestt Bledsoe, Jeff Garlin, John Goodman, Bernard Hill (Titanic), Anna Kendrick, Leslie Mann, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Elaine Stritch (30 Rock).
Here's the synopsis:
When a small town comes under siege by zombies, who can it call? Only misunderstood local boy Norman, who is able to speak with the dead. In addition to the zombies, he'll have to take on ghosts, witches and, worst, of all, grown-ups, to save his town from a centuries-old curse. But this young ghoul whisperer may find his paranormal activities pushed to their otherworldly limits.
Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think! The movie wont be released until August 21th 2012.
