The end of the world is coming in three weeks, and everything you've come to know and love will be obliterated... what do you do with the time you are given? This question is explored in a new romantic comedy from Focus Features called Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World. The story follows Steve Carell and Keira Knightley as they go out looking for love and family before the end of the world. It was written and directed by Lorene Scafaria, the woman behind the script for Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist, which I thought was a great film.
The film also stars Adam Brody (The OC), Connie Britton (American Horror Story), Rob Corddry (Hot Tub Time Machine), Gillian Jacobs (Community), Derek Luke (Antoine Fisher), Melanie Lynskey (Away We Go), T.J. Miller (Cloverfield), and Patton Oswalt (Big Fan).
Here's the Synopsis:
Set in a too-near future, a man searches for a meaningful connection as humanity’s last days are at hand. Can he find his greatest love at the worst possible time? As the respective journeys of Dodge and Penny converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world’s – brighten.
The movie is set to hit theaters on June 22nd, 2012. Check out the trailer below, and tell us what you think!
