I love a good twisted psychological thriller, and Park Chan-wook's Stoker looks like it's going to be just that. A new International poster has been released featuring the three main characters of the film Nicole Kidman, Mia Wasikowska and Matthew Goode who's got a little blood splatter on his face.
Park has made some pretty disturbing films in his career, and this looks like it's going to make a great addition to his resume. The movie was written by Prison Break's Wentworth Miller, and the cast also includes Dermot Mulroney, Jacki Weaver, Alden Ehrenreich and Lucas Till.
The movie is set to premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and it's one of the main films I'm looking forward to seeing most.
Synopsis:
After India's (Wasikowska's) father dies in an auto accident, her Uncle Charlie (Goode), who she never knew existed, comes to live with her and her emotionally unstable mother (Kidman). Soon after his arrival, she comes to suspect this mysterious, charming man has ulterior motives, but instead of feeling outrage or horror, this friendless girl becomes increasingly infatuated with him.
The movie will be released on March 1st, 2013.
