Disney has unleashed two new TV spots with bit of new footage for their new sci-fi adventure John Carter, which as you know is based on the classic novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The film was directed by Pixar animation director Andrew Stanton who is a huge fan of the book series, and it stars Taylor Kitsch, Lynn Collins and Willem Dafoe. I'm really hoping that this movie ends up being good. I liked the last full trailer that was released, which showed off some pretty beautiful shots.

The film tells the story of war-weary, former military captain John Carter (Taylor Kitsch), who is inexplicably transported to Mars where he becomes reluctantly embroiled in a conflict of epic proportions amongst the inhabitants of the planet, including Tars Tarkas (Willem Dafoe) and the captivating Princess Dejah Thoris (Lynn Collins).
