Above you'll find another great image from Tim Burton's highly anticipated black and white 3D stop-motion animated film Frankenweenie. It's an adaptation of a lovable live-action short film Burton made back in the 80s that Disney turned down because of its dark tone. Disney has since repented of their sin and are now producing the movie. It's great to see Burton come back to revisit these characters that he created so long ago. The trailer is set to be released tomorrow so stay tuned!
Here the plot synopsis:
After unexpectedly losing his beloved dog Sparky, young Victor harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life—with just a few minor adjustments. He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new "leash on life" can be monstrous.
Frankenweenie features the voices of Winona Ryder, Martin Landau, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Conchata Farrell, and Tom Kenny, will be released in Disney Digital 3D, Real D 3D, and IMAX 3D on October 5th.
