Samuel L. Jackson Will Battle THE BLOB in Upcoming Remake

samuel-l-jackson-will-battle-the-blob-in-upcoming-remake

Samuel L. Jackson has joined the cast of director Simon West's upcoming remake of the sci-fi alien monster movie The Blob. The original 1958 classic centered on a blob-like alien life-form that threatens a small town.

According to a press release, Jackson will play a biochemistry professor who will stand up against the other-worldly predator that was discovered deep within the earth, and he'll try to stop it from causing complete destruction.

This movie totally seems like a project that Jackson would be excited to be a part of.

West said this is a statement:

“I have been waiting to work with Samuel L. Jackson my whole career. He is a unique talent in the industry, definitely one of a kind. I am so pleased that we will finally get to collaborate on this project.”

Pascal Degove, Managing Director of Goldcrest Films added:

“Samuel L. Jackson has a reputation for thrilling audiences in commercial movies that deliver real box office success – this is a huge boost to our distribution partners and just adds to the excitement that is building around the picture."

More casting is expected to follow in the near future so stay tuned for that. I also think it's pretty cool that Jack Harris, the 96-year-old producer of the original film, is also producing the remake as well.

Review: MAD MAX: FURY ROAD is a Psychotically Badass Masterpiece!

mad-max-fury-road-was-a-psychotically-badass-masterpiece

Mad Max: Fury Road is seriously one of the most adrenaline-fueled action-packed adventure movies I think I’ve ever seen. There's a lot of excitement out there for this movie, and a lot of positive buzz, and everything you've heard about how spectacular this movie is? It's 100% true! For those of you who are feeling the excitement for this movie from the trailers you've seen, and you have a love of this character, this movie might just make your head explode.

I had high expectations going into this because the trailers made it look so freakin’ awesome. I was afraid that maybe the took the best parts of the film and threw them in the trailers. But the footage that you've seen only scratches the surface of what this flick delivers. It blew my expectations to pieces, and from beginning to end I was on was on the edge of my seat feeling the heat and intensity of the situation that our heroes found themselves in. The movie immediately grabbed me and didn’t let go. Even as I write this review, I’m still riding on the adrenaline high that Fury Road punched me in the face with!

Why the hell did it take so long for director George Miller to get this movie made!? I can't imagine it not being a huge hit. Fury Road was an epically badass masterpiece. It’s like The Lord of the Rings of post-apocalyptic action movies! The scale of the movie is so huge, and it was incredibly cool to see how the world of Mad Max has evolved. The world is completely jacked up, and the tone is scary as hell. It’s not a world I would like to find myself living in, but it sure is fun watching other people forced to survive in it!

The story is as simple as a story can get, but it was executed so damn well. I won’t get into the specifics of the story or scenes because I don’t want to spoil anything for you. Basically Max (Tom Hardy) partners up with an elite Imperator named Furiosa (Charlize Theron) to help her as she tries to smuggle out the five wives of the the evil Immortan Joe from under his tyrannical rule.

You may have already heard that the movie is one long chase sequence, and that’s exactly what it is. When Joe finds out what Furiosa has done, he goes after her with his army of henchmen, and from there on out it’s complete and utter chaos! The film barely gives audiences a chance to breathe — it's just one insane event after another. I just wanted to clap and cheer throughout the majority of the film.

Max is full-on crazy in this story. As you know, the guy has been through a lot of shit in his day, and we see the ramifications of that in Fury Road. He truly is mad. It definitely gave his character some interesting depth. The movie doesn’t fully revolve around Max, though. It mostly revolves around Furiosa, and Max is kind of just along for the psychotic ride of his life. The two characters had a great dynamic that I really thought was done well for the story.

The acting in the film is what you might expect. A lot of the side characters go completely over-the-top, but that’s what it had to be. Then you have the characters played by Hardy, Theron, and a few others that keep things on a lower scale, but still intense as hell. I really liked Hardy as Max; he was the perfect replacement for Mel Gibson, and he did an amazing job carrying the character throughout his adventure. But it was Charlize Theron who stole the show. She was incredibly hardcore, and my favorite part of the movie. She’s a great actress, and has done some fantastic films in the past, but there was something about this role that took her to the next level for me. It wasn't just the badassery of her character either, it was the emotion that she brought to the role.

Everything about Fury Road is given to the audience in the most extreme ways. The movie never lets up, it just races all the way to the end. If you’re into films like that and you’re a diehard fan of the Mad Max franchise, then this is a movie you can't miss. It over-delivered on what I wanted to see, and I can’t wait to see it again. I promise you’re going to enjoy this wildly unhinged ride of death.

Extremely Fun Trailer For DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

The CW has released the first trailer and promo image for their upcoming new series, DC's Legends of Tomorrow. It centers on the adventures of a team of DC superheroes that include The Flash, Arrow, White Canary, The Atom, Hawkgirl, Captain Cold, Heatwave, and Firestorm. Together they will go up against the immortal villain, Vandal Savage, who has been a part of the DC Comics universe for decades. The series looks like it's going to offer some crazy fun entertainment, and the network gives fans a lot of information in this first promo.

When heroes alone are not enough… the world needs legends.  Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat — one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself.  Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

The show stars Victor Garber (The Flash, Alias), Brandon Routh (Arrow, Superman Returns), Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who), Caity Lotz (Arrow), Ciarra Renee (Pippin), Franz Drameh (Edge of Tomorrow), along with Dominic Purcell (The Flash, Prison Break) and Wentworth Miller (The Flash, Prison Break).

I can't wait to watch this series!

ORPHAN BLACK Gets a TOO MANY COOKS Parody Called TOO MANY CLONES

I wonder if that recent Game of Thrones parody is partially responsible for this Orphan Black mash-up. It's been a while since Too Many Cooks broke the internet, but the popularity of that parody may have gotten it stuck in peoples' heads all over again (sadly, it's been stuck in my head since the first time I heard it last year).

Too Many Clones pokes fun at the seeming omnipresence of star Tatiana Maslany, who plays multiple characters on the BBC series. But did you know that she also played a motorcycle, a bottle of wine, and someone else's hair?

If you clicked through even with the word SPOILERS in the title, then you asked for it. Some new information regarding Joe and Anthony Russo's Captain America: Civil War has leaked. It will reportedly feature a fight scene between two characters that aren't Iron Man and Captain America.

Apparently Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Rennerwill battle each other! The news comes from Umberto Gonzalez who says the following:

HOT RUMOR! In #CAPTAINAMERICA #CIVILWAR, #Hawkeye has a huge fight against #BlackPanther! Who do you have as the winner? I got T'Challa because as Wesley Snipes once famously said, "Always bet on black!" #MarvelStudios #MARVEL #marvelcomics #MCU

The film is currently in production, and it will certainly be awesome to see these two characters go at it. I imagine Black Panther will kick Haweye's ass. Hawkeye probably won't be the only Avenger that Black Panther ends up fighting, though.

Review: PITCH PERFECT 2 Measures Up and Improves On The Original

$

There's a subculture that worships the first Pitch Perfect, and I am by no means a member of that group. I thought the original was fine, a nice underdog sports comedy in which the sport is singing — a cappella style. So I was almost shocked to discover that I actually like Pitch Perfect 2, a film I wasn't particularly excited about seeing in the first place. But that's the great thing about movies: sometimes they can surprise you.

After an embarrassing incident in which Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson) accidentally flashes President Obama (don't ask), the Barden University Bellas are suspended from all national singing competitions. They're still eligible for the world a cappella championships, but to win, they'll have to beat the comically evil German national team, Das Sound Machine. Meanwhile, Beca (Anna Kendrick) has taken a job as an intern at a recording studio but is keeping her new gig secret from the rest of the girls. She feels they won't handle the news well because it means confronting the fact that they're going to graduate soon, get jobs, and move on with their lives. That's pretty much it as far as set-up goes — these movies aren't exactly head-scratchers.

The major reason I like this film more than the first is that the original was saddled with a boring love story. Watching Beca and Jesse (Skylar Astin) fall for each other didn't really do anything for me because Astin isn't a compelling presence unless he's crooning with his all-male group The Treblemakers. Thankfully, he barely shows up at all here, and the main thrust of the story surrounds Beca's attempt to find her musical identity. The mash-ups that excited everyone so much in the first film fail to impress her perpetually frustrated record producer boss (Keegan-Michael Key, the film's unexpected MVP), who tells her she needs a perspective of her own instead of just smashing two songs together. Luckily, a new girl named Emily (Hailee Steinfeld) joins the group, and she just so happens to love writing lyrics for original songs. I think you can see where this is heading.

Even though every story beat is telegraphed, the film concentrates more on the sisterhood of the Bellas and the group dynamic, with the girls' journey paralleling Beca's as they try find their voice in order to best the condescending Germans. (This rivalry is basically Beerfest with a cappella.) Each of the main girls has a moment to shine, both comedically and musically, and despite about half of the jokes falling flat for me, the rest worked pretty well. There's a subplot about Fat Amy and Bumper (Adam Devine) getting it on, but that's mostly relegated to a few minutes of screentime and isn't quite as tiresome as Beca and Jesse's courtship was the first time around.

Elizabeth Banks, who makes her feature directorial debut here, also returns in front of the camera alongside John Michael Higgins as this franchise's equivalent of Dodgeball's Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks, the two announcers who give play-by-play commentary of each performance. They're there to provide some off-color jokes (many of which are cringe-inducing*) and on-the-nose recitations of the movie's main themes including, "It's as if the Barden Bellas just don't know who they are anymore." Thanks, we get it. Behind the camera, though, Banks has a good handle on what's important in this film — the music — and all of the singing scenes work extremely well. There's an especially excellent sequence in the middle of the movie in which all of the teams get called to a secret a cappella sing-off in the basement of a mysterious rich guy (David Cross).

Overall, if you liked the first one, chances are pretty great that you'll find a lot to like here. If you're like me and you found the original to be a little too cutesy, I think if you go into this one with low expectations, you might find yourself surprised. Pitch Perfect 2 doesn't quite hit every individual note, but as a whole, the piece sounds pretty darn good.

*Even though most of their jokes didn't work for me, Higgins' character delivers my favorite joke of the whole movie near the end, so I can't write them off completely.

Matt Reeves' New Sequel Reportedly Titled WAR OF THE PLANET OF THE APES

Matt Reeves' Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was one of my favorite films of last year, and I loved the way Reeves was able to take the characters right to the brink of peace before blowing it all to hell in a tragic, profound way. These films, led by Andy Serkis' amazing motion-capture performances, have become some of the best modern blockbusters around, and we're all looking forward to seeing what the director does in his next installment.

If Collider's sources are correct, he'll be taking the apes to war. The outlet reports that the title of the new film will be War of the Planet of the Apes. It makes sense, especially considering how Dawn ended (and the fact that the last film had unused shots of warships coming to San Francisco). Thematically, it lines up with Caesar's journey from essentially being a human's pet to becoming an iconic figure in ape mythology, and it'll be nice not to have to confuse this title with the other ones (shouldn't "dawn" come before "rise"?).

We know a little about what will happen to Caesar already, since Reeves spoke about it around six months ago:

"The first one is sort of how [Caesar] goes from humble beginnings to becoming a revolutionary. In 'Dawn,' he really rose to occasion of becoming a leader in really challenging and difficult times. The notion of what we're after with the third is to sort of continue that trajectory and see how he becomes a seminal figure in ape history. He almost becomes sort of like an ape Moses. A mythic status... We're trying to play out those themes and continue to sort of explore it in this universe. Exploring human nature under the guise of apes."

The sequel already has a release date of July 14th, 2017, and we'll keep you posted with more info as it becomes available. Are you looking forward to seeing the ape/human war break out?

This Fire-Spewing Go Kart Looks Like Something Out of MAD MAX

With Mad Max: Fury Road hitting theaters tonight (read Joey's rave review), we have Mad Max on the brain, and it looks like Colin Furze does too. He's created a badass go kart (he calls it a "jet kart") and released two videos (here and here) that reveal how he built it, but the real thing we all want to see is how the finished product works. We're in luck, because there's a video that shows off what it can do, and I've posted that below.

This thing would look right at home in the wasteland of Mad Max, and the fire is an especially nice touch. This bad boy can even hit 60 miles per hour. Now Colin just needs to figure out how to install a huge stack of speakers on it and mount a crazy guy who plays a flaming guitar up there with them.

So it’s finished and it’s brilliant, it’s stable it starts easy and the fuel system after a slight redesign (see website) works perfectly. Top speed so far is 60mph but i run out of airstrip so might be more in it.

International TERMINATOR GENISYS Poster — "New Mission. New Fate."

An international poster has been released for Terminator Genisys, and it boasts a fun new tag line that reads, "New Mission. New Fate." As you've seen in the trailers for the movie, things are taking a very interesting and surprising turn. I'm curious to see how this whole new trilogy plays out.

The beginning of Terminator: Genisys, the first of three planned films that Paramount hopes will relaunch the beloved sci-fi franchise, is set in 2029, when the Future War is raging and a group of human rebels has the evil artificial-intelligence system Skynet on the ropes. John Connor (Jason Clarke) is the leader of the resistance, and Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) is his loyal soldier, raised in the ruins of post apocalyptic California. As in the original film, Connor sends Reese back to 1984 to save Connor’s mother, Sarah (Emilia Clarke), from a Terminator programmed to kill her so that she won’t ever give birth to John. But what Reese finds on the other side is nothing like he expected.

The movie hits theaters on July 1st.

WatchMojo has released a video that counts down their list of "Top 10 Criminally Underrated Cartoon Series." Some of my favorite shows mentioned on this list include Freakazoid, Space Ghost, The Tick, The Critic, and Gargoyles, which is a series I don't think is underrated at all. There are a couple shows on the list that I don't think I've ever heard of before.

Not every worthwhile cartoon runs as long as "The Simpsons." Or even "Scooby Doo." Join WatchMojo as we count down the Top 10 Underrated Cartoon Series.

Check out the video below, and let us know what some of your favorite series on the list are. Are there are any cartoons you would add to the list? You can also listen to this recent episode of The 5Cast in which Ben and Tyler discuss their Top 5 Saturday Morning Cartoons.

Judd Apatow Producing The Lonely Island's New Movie

$

Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, and Jorma Taccone, known collectively as The Lonely Island, burst onto the scene in 2005 on Saturday Night Live. Their Digital Shorts soon became one of the show's most popular aspects, with their second one ever, "Lazy Sunday" becoming one of the first widely shared viral videos. After that, they left a trail of successful shorts in their wake, including "Dick in a Box," "Jizz in My Pants," "I'm On A Boat," and many more. (They also made this one, which is very underrated.)

The trio united for a movie in 2007 called Hot Rod, which they co-wrote and Schaffer directed. But according to Judd Apatow, who will produce a new film by the group, this new (still untitled) movie will actually be "the first film made by The Lonely Island." Not quite sure how that works, but OK! We're getting a new Lonely Island movie! That's good news. So what will it be about?

The project takes aim on the fluffy music documentaries of recent years such as Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never and Katy Perry’s Part of Me. It centers on a rapper whose latest album bombs and he must do the unthinkable: a reunion concert with his former boy band.

Sounds excellent. All three guys will star and produce, Schaffer and Taccone (who directed MacGruber) are co-directing, and production is already underway in Los Angeles.

Ridiculous 1978 STAR WARS Ripoff Wine Infomercial

Over the years, there have been a ton of Star Wars knock-offs that have provided fans with lots of laughter and fury. Today a new ripoff has surfaced from 1978. It's an infomercial for Taylor Wines called “Holiday Race For Space,” and it features a couple of very familiar-looking droids that are referred to as “Metal Man” and “Shorty.” They do a little disco-dancing, talk about how to sell more wine, and how to dominate the mind of the consumer. The video comes from Texas Archive, and they offer the following information:

This marketing film from Dallas Production Company, Bill Stokes Associates, highlights the impact of new ideas and new material for Taylor Wines as they compete in the 1978 “Holiday Race for Space,” a somewhat inexplicable marketing scheme that is described with the aid of “Metal Man” and “Shorty,” an obvious homage to Star Wars characters C-3PO and R2D2. Join the marketing team at Taylor Wines as they look at new packaging and displays, and Metal Man and Shorty dance to groovy 70s tunes and get love from the ladies! Also included are previews of the new Taylor Wine holiday commercials, one of which features jazz pianist Count Basie.

It's amazing that some companies like this got away with this kind of crap. At least it's around to give fans something to laugh at. Check it out!

TRUE DETECTIVE Season 2 Gets An Intense Second Trailer

$

I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much regarding season 2 of True Detective, just because it's going to be immensely difficult for the HBO drama to be able to top its stellar first season. But it's tough to remain stoic about it when the network puts out an awesome-looking trailer like this one, which gives our first look at some actual lines of dialogue being spoken on screen.

Vince Vaughn looks great as the villain, but I have a feeling that the show won't be quite as cut-and-dry about the notion of good guys and bad guys. The good guys have likely done some bad things, and the outcome looks pretty bleak, but there might be a shot at redemption in the end. I can't wait to see how it plays out. Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Taylor Kitsch, and Vaughn star, and the second season premieres on June 21st at 9pm on HBO.

RICK AND MORTY Drop in on THE SIMPSONS in New Couch Gag

There's been a lot of talk about The Simpsons today, since news broke this morning that voice actor Harry Shearer would be leaving the show after 26 years. But maybe this will get people's minds off that bit of bad news: the title duo from Dan Harmon's beloved animated series Rick and Morty "drop in" on the Simpson family in a new couch gag that will appear on the show's season finale this Sunday, May 17th. Check it out below, along with some quotes from members of both shows about the mini-crossover.

“This couch gag plays like a full-fledged mini-episode,” said The Simpsons creator and executive producer Matt Groening. “It’s going to be a real treat for fans of The Simpsons, fans of Rick and Morty, and fans of animated belching.”
“We are honored and blown away to be a part of The Simpsons,” said Rick and Morty co-creator and executive producer Justin Roiland. “If I could go back in time and tell myself that this would happen, I’d be like ‘No way, Jose!’ I simply can’t believe it. I think we might all be living in some kind of massive computer simulation to be honest. Look up simulation theory. That would explain how this happened.”

Rumor: Asa Butterfield Has Been Cast as Spider-Man

Call this a rumor for now, but Latino-Review reports that Asa Butterfield (Ender's Game, Hugo) has been cast as the new Spider-Man. We've been waiting to figure out who Sony and Marvel would choose to play this role since it was announced that the character would be shared among the two companies, and word is that Butterfield and the studio are in negotiations and it's just a matter of the ink drying on the contracts before an official confirmation is issued.

I like Butterfield the most out of all of the names who were legitimately rumored to be the new Peter Parker/Spider-Man, so I'm happy with this choice. He was the frontrunner for the role, has blockbuster movie experience, he's only 18 and looks younger than that (unlike Andrew Garfield, who always looked a little too old to be a teenaged Spidey), and he's an excellent actor. It'll be great to see him mix it up with Downey, Evans, and the rest of the MCU mainstays. He's expected to show up first in Captain America: Civil War before swinging into his own solo movie at Sony on July 28th, 2017. Still no word on who will direct that film, but here's the latest list of contenders.

I don't have kids, so I can't say with 100% certainty if I'd do something like this, but I like to think that I'm capable of doing what one badass dad did when his son got bad grades. Jason apparently didn't do so hot in school, and there's a hint at the beginning of the video that his dad gave him a three week warning to get his act together or else bad things would happen to his video game consoles. The time passed and apparently Jason's grades didn't improve, so this video is the result. You can hear the kid trying to blame it on the teachers (yeah right, nice try dude), and he weeps in his front yard as his dad makes him take a freaking sledgehammer to multiple consoles and what appear to be controllers.

Kate Beckinsale Coming Back For UNDERWORLD 5

Underworld 5 is moving forward, and Kate Beckinsale is set to reprise her role as the badass vampire Selene. I’ve enjoyed the films in the Underworld franchise, and it’s great to see that Beckinsale is willing to come back for more action.

She will join Theo James, who will also be reprising his role from 2012’s Underworld: Awakening. He was only in that film briefly, but maybe he’ll have a bigger part in the story this time around.

The movie is going to be directed Anna Foerster from a script by Cory Goodman. There are no details on the story, but according to THR, it will focus on a new, younger generation of vampires and werewolves. If you’ve been watching the films, then you know the two supernatural races don’t get along with each other and have been locked in a war for centuries.

This will be the first time Foerster has directed a feature film. In the past she has done some second-unit work and also worked with Roland Emmerich as the director of photography on films such as The Day After Tomorrow and White House Down. She will also be the first woman to helm a film in this horror/action franchise.

I enjoyed the last film, and it will be interesting to see how they move the story forward and if they will be handing off the franchise to these new younger characters.

The Vision's Comic Book History Explained in Infographic

The world was introduced to a few new characters in the Marvel universe thanks to Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. One of those characters was an android named The Vision. Most comic book fans already know who The Vision is, but there are a lot of casual fans out there who saw the film and don't know the comic book history of the character. Thanks to Comics Alliance, we have an infographic here created by Chris Haley that briefly explains his history.

Whether you’re new to comics, new to Marvel’s heroes, or a long-time fan looking to re-familiarize yourself with the eccentricities of superhero continuity (or maybe engage in some hardcore nitpicking), we hope you’ll enjoy this tribute to the android that you will believe can cry.

Will The Hulk Be Coming Back for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR?

will-the-hulk-be-coming-back-for-captain-america-civil-war

Even though Captain America: Civil War is a Captain America movie, the film has a line-up of superhero characters as big as what you would find in an Avengers film. The main cast has already been announced, and one character that a lot of fans were hoping for wasn't on the list — Mark Rufallo's Bruce Banner/Hulk. But maybe that has changed!

A recent tweet from Ruffalo suggests the Hulk may actually be joining his fellow heroes for Captain America: Civil War! The actor dropped the following hint on Twitter yesterday:

The link in the tweet brings you to Ruffalo’s Tumblr, which then takes you to Marvel's official press release about the start of production on Captain America: Civil War. Ruffalo says this on his Tumblr page:

Welcome to the wild party! Looking forward to this amazing cast.

The actor never says that he's in Captain America: Civil War, but it certainly seems like he wants to say it. I'm not sure if he's just teasing the fans, or simply welcoming the new recruits to the Marvel cinematic universe as a whole. One thing is for sure, the way he worded things could easily be interpreted as him saying that he'll be in the movie, and I hope he is! If he is, I would love to see him get some screen time with Spider-Man!

It's already be revealed that William Hurt will return as General Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in the movie. He and the Hulk have a history together, so it's not too far-fetched to think that Banner could be involved with the story as well.

The fate of the Hulk was left open-ended at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, so he could pop up anywhere at any time that Marvel needs him to. There's no confirmation yet that Hulk will be involved, but it would be great if he were, even for a small role.

As of right now the rest of the confirmed cast includes Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America; Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man; Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow; Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Falcon; Paul Bettany as The Vision; Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier; Jeremy Renner as Clint Barton/Hawkeye; Don Cheadle as Jim Rhodes/War Machine; Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch; Paul Rudd as Scott Lang/Ant-Man; Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/Black Panther; Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter/Agent 13; Daniel Brühl as Baron Helmut Zemo; Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones; and Martin Freeman, who is rumored to be playing Everett Ross, a possible new addition to the MCU.

Here's the synopsis for the film:

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

The movie opens up on May 6th, 2016. Do you think the Hulk will be and should be in Civil War

SUPERGIRL Trailer Recut Without All the Bubbly Nonsense

supergirl-trailer-recut-without-all-the-bubbly-nonsense

Video editor Tim Gonzales sent us a recut of the Supergirl trailer that CBS released. His goal was to make it look like a more appealing show without all of the bubbliness that a lot of people seemed to hate about it. Here's a note from the creator:

"Alternate trailer I cut together for the CBS Supergirl show. My intent was to edit the original footage into a traditional trailer to make it seem less bubbly (not sure if that's the right word) and more epic/riveting in tone. Hope you enjoy and thanks for your time!"

I think he did a pretty solid job. Had the network released a trailer that looked more like this, I think fans would have been a little bit more open to what's coming. In the end though, everyone knows what this series entails now, and a big chunk of the hardcore fanbase of shows such as Arrow and The Flash seem to have already written it off.
