Star Wars Celebration 2015 will be featuring the world premiere of the first two episodes of Star Wars Rebels Season 2. We have an awesome trailer that show you what's in store for Season 2.
The trailer is over three minutes long, and it's packed with tons of cool footage that features the return of Captain Rex, and Darth Vader, who is back kicking all kinds of Jedi ass! I absolutely love that they've expanded the classic villains role in this series! Season 2 seems like it going to be even better than the first one!

Here’s the new poster for Hitman: Agent 57, which is the big screen adaptation of the popular video game. The poster has the same visual vibe as some of the promo art we’ve seen for Game of Thrones and The Expendables.
Agent 47 stars Rupert Friend (Homeland) in the title role and Hannah Ware (Oldboy) as Agent 47 and Katia. Zachary Quinto also stars in the film, which was directed by Aleksander Bach. Here’s the synopsis:
Hitman: Agent 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research and forty-six earlier Agent clones -- endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47's past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Results premiered at Sundance earlier this year, and it’s a quirky, amusing, and different kind of romantic comedy. There were parts of the movie that I really liked, and other parts that didn't quite work for me, but as a whole it was entertaining. It's definitely full of interesting and enjoyable characters, who are played by Cobie Smulders, Guy Pearce, and Kevin Corrigan. Here’s the synopsis to tell you a little bit about the story:
Recently divorced, newly rich, and utterly miserable, Danny (Corrigan) would seem to be the perfect test subject for a definitive look at the relationship between money and happiness. Danny’s well-funded ennui is interrupted by a momentous trip to the local gym, where he meets self-styled guru/owner Trevor (Pearce) and irresistibly acerbic trainer Kat (Smulders). Soon, their three lives are inextricably knotted, both professionally and personally.
The movie also stars Giovanni Ribisi, Brooklyn Decker, Constance Zimmer ,and Anthony Michael Hall. It will be released in theaters on May 29th, 2015.
For those of you who weren’t able to watch Carrie Fischer’s “Date with a Princess” panel at Star Wars Celebration 2015, a video of it has been released online for you to watch. Even though she didn’t really talk much about Star Wars: The Force Awakens or any of the other upcoming films, she did put on one hell of an entertaining show that is definitely worth watching.
She talks about everything from her iconic Princess Leia hairstyle to the time she and Harrison Ford went out and partied with the Rolling Stones at Monty Python comedian Eric Idle's house.
She's sure got some great stories. But one of the crazier moments of the panel happened as she took an onstage selfie with fan, when all of a sudden she engaged in a full-on kiss with him! I thought it was hilarious that the guy continued to take the selfie as she kissed him. It's safe to say that's a day he'll never forget. As Saturday Night Live continues to celebrate its 40th anniversary, we have a new trailer for a documentary based on the groundbreaking sketch comedy program. The doc is called Live From New York! and it chronicles the iconic NBC comedy show and the cultural and historical impact it had on the world.
The doc offers a collection of old footage from the series, and it also gives us a behind-the-scenes look at the work that goes into bringing audiences comedy magic week after week. It also features interviews with several of the cast members, writers, and hosts who have come through the show over the decades including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Chris Rock, Candice Bergen, and John Goodman.
Creator and executive producer Lorne Michaels had this to say about the show in the trailer:
“It’s the only form where everyone is necessary to the end. We don’t go on because we’re ready, we go on because it’s 11:30.”
I'm not as big a fan of SNL as I used to be. It used to be more consistently funny when they could get away with more edgier stuff. I still watch it from time to time, but the excitement of seeing it has kind of faded. I miss the hilarity that the '80s and '90s used to deliver.
The film will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on Wednesday and hits select theaters on June 12th.

A new full trailer for Josh Trank's Fantastic Four reboot has popped up online, and it shows off a ton of exciting footage. We get some better insight into the characters and the story that the film is going to tell. We also get to see Marvel's four heroes in action, as well as our first official look at Victor Domashev, a.k.a. Doctor Doom.
I like what I'm seeing, and I still think the movie has potential, especially after watching this trailer. It may not be exactly the Fantastic Four from the comic books, but it still looks like a cool movie.

Terminator Salvation director McG has finally landed a directing gig that he’s worthy of. He is set to helm the pilot episode of a TV series on ABC Family called Shadowhunters, which is based on Cassandra Clare’s YA fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments. The show is a spinoff series of the 2013 film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
I’m not a big fan of McG, most of the films he has made have been less than mediocre. So the fact that he has made the move to ABC Family to work on this series is appropriate. He may not be that good with movies, but he has a decent track record with TV shows like Supernatural, Chuck, Nikita, The OC, and more. As far as the series goes, here’s a description from Deadline:
Shadowhunters follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
The series is set to go into production in May, and there’s no word on when it will be released.
True Detective season one director Cary Fukunaga is set to direct and executive produce a new drama series called The Alienist, which is based on the Caleb Carr thriller. Fukunaga does great work and is currently developing the big screen adaptation of Stephen King’s IT. This new project he’s jumping on seems like it's a good fit for him.
The story is set in "Gilded Age New York, and it follows Dr. Laszlo Kreizler, who, with the help of newspaper reporter John Moore and police commissioner Theodore Roosevelt, uses the emerging discipline of psychology to track down one of New York City’s first serial killers.’
The series is being written by Hossein Amini, and it sounds like it will be an intense and fascinating thriller. Paramount Television President Amy Powell said in a statement:
“The Alienist is a fascinating and distinctive, fast-paced psychological thriller that is wonderfully evocative of the unrivaled Gilded Age of New York City. Cary Fukunaga’s unique vision and ability to render compelling, distinctive and superbly atmospheric direction is the perfect voice for this television series. We are thrilled to have not only Cary’s expert direction, but also the creativity, imagination and storytelling abilities of the supremely talented Eric Roth and Hossein Amini.”

I’ve never really had an issue with earthquakes. Growing up in Los Angeles I always kind of just enjoyed riding them out. But the footage I’ve seen from this San Andreas movie actually planted a fear of earthquakes in me. If the big one hits, Los Angeles is completely screwed!
We have a couple of TV spots for the action-thriller that have released by New Line Cinema, along with a poster featuring the hero of the story played by Dwayne Johnson. I’m just going to keep hoping that nothing like this happens anytime soon.
After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot (Johnson) and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning, and when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.
Brad Peyton (Journey 2: The Mysterious Island) directed the movie, and it also stars Carla Gugino (Sin City), Alexandra Daddario (Percy Jackson), Ioan Gruffudd (Fantastic Four), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife), and Paul Giamatti. The film will be released on May 29th.
This summer Netflix is releasing a new How to Train Your Dragon series called Dragons: Race to the End, and today we have a teaser trailer that you can watch. If you’re a fan of the franchise, you won’t have to wait until the next film to jump back into this dragon-filled world.
Hiccup and Toothless lead the series as they continue to explore more of the world in which they live. They also come across an artifact called the Dragon’s Eye, which is going to open up even more possibilities to them. The series actually looks like it could really be great, and here’s the synopsis:
In this new original series, premiering worldwide on June 26, Hiccup and Toothless lead the Dragon Riders as they soar beyond the borders of Berk and discover the mysterious Dragon Eye — an ancient artifact filled with secrets that will lead them to new lands filled with undiscovered dragons. But the heroes find themselves pursued by marauding dragon hunters, who will stop at nothing to seize the power of the Dragon Eye.
The 13 episodes of the series will premiere exclusively on Netflix on June 26th.
This is the final of three posters that Universal Pictures has released over the last few days for Jurassic World, and it features Chris Pratt riding with into battle with his raptor squad. The whole aspect of trained raptors in this movie intrigues me, and I'm excited to see how they play with the idea.
Tomorrow a new trailer for the movie is going to be released, and I can only imagine that it's going to be packed with all kinds of great new footage that is going to get fans even more excited for the next chapter in this franchise.

It was previously rumored that director Gareth Edward's Star Wars: Rogue One would be a heist film that revolves around the Death Star plans. That rumor was confirmed to be true by the director during his panel at Star Wars Celebration today, and he even showed off some teaser footage!
Star Wars tweeted the news shortly after, saying:
“A band of resistance fighters unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans in Star Wars anthology film, Rogue One."
Felicity Jones has already been cast in the movie, and she will play a rebel soldier in the story, which is set before Episode IV.
They teased the film at the event with some crazy cool war type movie visuals, like in the concept art you see above. Then there was the footage, which showed a TIE fighter flying above a forest planet and then revealed the Death Star. It also featured shots of soldiers running through darkness. There is also a voice over from Obi-Wan Kenobi that says:
“For over a thousand generations, the Jedi Knights were the guardians of peace and justice in the Old Republic, before the dark times, before the Empire."
You can actually watch a video of it below for yourself if you want! Edward's went on to explain:
“It comes down to a group of individuals that don’t have magic powers, that have to bring hope to the galaxy."
It was also clarified at the event that the standalone movies are being called “anthology films” rather than spinoffs, because of their varying degree of scale, genre, characters and places.
This first anthology film seems like it's going to kick some serious ass. I can't wait for these movies to start coming out! Star Wars: Rogue One is set to be released in December 2016.

It sure has been one hell of a weekend with the trailers for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Fantastic Four being released. That's not the end of it! There's more to come, so stay tuned!
In the meantime, here are two teaser posters that have been released for Batman v Superman by director Zack Snyder. These will be given out to fans at tomorrow night's IMAX trailer screening event. The posters feature images the two main heroes being vandalized by a torn in version of the other's logo. What side are you on? Personally, I've alway been more of a Batman fan — he's just more badass all-around.
Since the trailer leaked earlier than it was supposed to, I've been hearing that the studio might show some additional footage at the screening event, but that hasn't been confirmed, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits on March 25th, 2016.

A minute-long Japanese TV spot has been released for Mad Max: Fury Road, and like every other trailer or TV spot that we've seen for this movie, it's spectacular! The spot offers us even more footage from the highly anticipated film for you to enjoy. The movie looks completely awesome, and it is going to deliver all of the badassery that Mad Max fans are craving. The movie will be released on May 15th. Now put the pedal to the metal and watch the latest spot!
The worst movie that I saw last year was the live-action reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I thought it was utterly awful in every way, but that didn't stop it from making an shit-load of money and getting the greenlight for a sequel.
The creative team over at How It Should Have Ended has released their latest animated episode, and it puts the focus on this very film. In the process it points out a few obvious things that many of us were thinking as we watched the movie.
One of the actors I was really hoping to see come back in Independence Day 2 has been confirmed! Bill Pullman will reprise his role as former President Whitmore in the sequel. Pullman has said in the past that he would love to be a part of the sequel if it happened, and it’s good to know that he’ll actually be back.
It was also reported that Judd Hirsch will be reprising his role as Julius Levinson, the father of Jeff Goldblum’s character David. Goldblum is set to return alongside series newcomers Liam Hemsworth and Jessie Usher, who is going to play the son of the Will Smith character from the first film. Brent Spiner and Vivica A. Fox are also coming back to reprise their roles. I guess Smith is the only one who is too good to come back to the franchise that launched his movie career.
Roland Emmerich is returning to direct, and the movie is set to be released on June 24th, 2016, almost 20 years after the original film hit theaters July 3rd, 1996.

This weekend the first teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released, and it was met with a lot of mixed reactions from fans. Some people (like me) were excited about what they saw, while it didn't seem to strike a chord with others. Thanks to You Tube user Bobby Burns, we have a retro-style recut of the trailer that is sure unite the fans! It features a mashup of footage from the Christopher Reeve Superman films and the classic Adam West Batman series. The end result is fantastic.
