THE HUNTSMAN Adds Rob Brydon and Two Others As Dwarves

$

I was fully prepared to completely ignore The Huntsman, Universal's upcoming prequel to Snow White and the Huntsman starring Chris Hemsworth, but then they went and cast awesome people like Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain, and now I feel like I have to pay attention to it again. The casting continues, as THR reports that Rob Brydon, Alexandra Roach, and Sheridan Smith will play dwarves (or is it dwarfs? I never know) in the film alongside Nick Frost, who is reprising his role as Nion.

Brydon can be seen in Cinderella (in theaters now), but is perhaps most recognizable from The Trip and The Trip to Italy, in which he and Steve Coogan travel around eating food and making each other laugh with their impressions and comedy bits. I've only seen Brydon in those films, and I like him quite a bit, so I'm interested to see what he does with a potentially absurd supporting role here. I haven't heard of either of the two actresses, but Smith (above left) has appeared in tons of British TV shows and Roach (above right) was in The Iron Lady, Anna Karenina, and shared the screen with her co-star Nick Frost in the dancing comedy Cuban Fury.

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, the visual effects supervisor of the first movie, replaced Frank Darabont as director and will make his directorial debut with this film, which already has an April 22nd, 2016 release date. Excited about this one?

Wolverine Drives a DeLorean in X-MEN/BACK TO THE FUTURE Mashup

This mashup comes courtesy of artist DaCoffeeTime for a French magazine called Geek Le Mag (via XombieDirge), and it's a perfect blend of the X-Men and Back to the Future universes. Though it was Kitty Pryde who did the time travelling in the X-Men: Days of Future Past comic, director Bryan Singer reworked the story to make Wolverine the time-traveler in last year's movie, so giving him a DeLorean makes a weird kind of sense. Plus, it just looks awesome, and it has a great sense of motion to it - almost as if Wolverine is so pissed off that he's getting out of the vehicle as it's still coming to a stop. Nice work!

Review: KUMIKO, THE TREASURE HUNTER is Beautiful and Beguiling

$
0
0

In 2014, the excellent FX original series Fargo explored the consequences of Steve Buscemi's character burying thousands of dollars in the snow in a universe shared with the Coen Brothers' 1996 film. The Zellner Brothers' Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter touches on the same topic, but their story is ostensibly set in the "real" world: their film, which debuted last year and is getting a limited release this week, follows a 29-year-old girl named Kumiko (Rinko Kikuchi) who discovers a waterlogged VHS tape of Fargo, believes that movie's opening proclamation that it tells a true story, and ventures from Tokyo to the United States in an attempt to find the money. Beautiful and beguiling, Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter takes us on a quixotic quest toward an unspecified location in the American Midwest that holds much more than the promise of cash: a woman's soul is on the line here, and you can feel her determination with every step.

Kumiko lives alone with her pet bunny Bunzo in a crappy Tokyo apartment. She's stuck in a crappy secretary job serving a condescending jerk of a boss, and constantly rebuffing her mother's attempts to get her to move back home. Her mother is demanding and obnoxious, concerned only with the ideas of Kumiko either getting promoted or married, but our heroine isn't interested in either. Once she discovers the VHS of Fargo (in a dream-like opening sequence), she becomes obsessed with her new mission: find the money. She replays the film over and over, taking extensive notes and making her own maps in an effort to nail down the exact location of Buscemi's loot. Finally, she's ready. She abandons Bunzo on the subway (in one of the film's truly sad sequences) before ultimately spitting in her boss's tea, stealing his company credit card, and making a break for the States - or, as the title card indicates when she arrives, "The New World." Kumiko fancies herself like a modern day Spanish conquistador as she searches for her treasure, and she refuses to allow any obstacles to prevent her from reaching her goal.

Revealing any more about the actual plot would spoil the ending, which, for me, was basically the only thing I cared about. While everyone can relate to Kumiko's crappy home life and existential desire for getting more out of life, it's substantially more difficult to side with her on this insane quest because the movie never allows us to get inside her head. Does she actually, truly think the money is really going to be there (meaning...she's never seen a movie before and isn't capable of separating fact from fiction?), or is this just a metaphorical trip to prove to herself that she's capable of seeing something through to the end? It's a question the film approaches but doesn't fully answer, which may leave many viewers cold.

Kikuchi is very good as Kumiko, her expressive eyes saying what her mouth often can't; she speaks broken English throughout, and communication barriers are one of the movie's biggest sources of drama and humor. She brings a nice physicality to the role, and you can feel her desperation and determination as she marches onward toward her goal. Director of photography Sean Porter depicts her as a specter of color against stark, snowy Midwestern landscapes, occasionally giving the movie an otherworldy vibe.

But despite the gorgeous visuals, I found the film itself to be a little hollow. Either I didn't fully understand the message the Zellner Brothers were trying to impart, or there wasn't much of a message to understand in the first place; the ending caught me off guard and left me questioning the point of the whole movie, and I wasn't satisfied with what I came up with. (I don't want to ruin the ending, so I can't delve into this very deeply.) Still, though, the film is definitely a unique experience, and I can think of a few worse ways to spend time than watching an intriguing lead performance and some beautiful cinematography.

WATCHMAN Star Jackie Earle Haley May Play a Villain in SUICIDE SQUAD

We’ve got a new bit of info for you regarding David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. The news comes from Latino-Review’s El Mayimbe, who has been on fire recently with the Suicide Squad intel. This most recent nugget of info indicates that Watchman star Jackie Earle Haley might be taking on a villainous role in the story as The Thinker. Here’s what the report says:

"Another #HOT #SUICIDESQUAD #RUMOR For the character of THE THINKER I'm hearing Jackie Earle Haley's name being tossed around. Remember him as #RORSCHACH in #THEWATCHMEN? Take with grain of salt until otherwise confirmed but found it interesting nonetheless."

The Thinker is an alias that has been used by many characters in the DC Comics Universe. It’s not clear which one will be represented in the movie, but it would make sense for the character in the film to be based on the orginal incarnation… Clifford DeVoe.

The character is a genius inventor who used his intellect as a weapon by using his "Thinking Cap." DeVoe is a villain of the Flash and was a member of the Injustice Society and the Suicide Squad.

This is the first time that we’ve heard of this character's involvement with the film, and if this news does turn out to by true, Haley is the perfect actor to take him on.

I’ve come across some great Spider-Man and Daredevil illustrations featuring the two heroes teaming up. One of the more recent pieces is an amusing comic in which the two are just hanging out and Spider-Man is asking Daredevil what he wants to watch on TV. The other is more of a cover art type piece. I also included a few other pieces that the artist created for these characters.

The artist behind these is Randy Bishop, and as you can see, he has a very fun style that I like. We’ve posted a few of his other illustrations before. You can check them out at the following links: Captain America Disney Animated Style Art and Hulk Vs. Thor's Hammer Art.

For all of you Attack on Titan fans wanting to see footage from the upcoming live-action movie, here’s the moment you’ve been waiting for! The first footage from the film has finally surfaced, and it looks freakin’ incredible! I wasn’t really sure what to expect from this movie, but the bits of footage revealed here got me even more excited for it.

The footage is featured throughout this Japanese interview television broadcast. Everything looks great, especially the teasing shots of the Titans, which look insanely menacing. I think a lot of fans of the anime are going to be very happy with what they see here.

In case you missed them, you can check out the Attack on Titan character posters here, and the main poster for the film here.

Kids React to Old VCR and VHS Technology

For most of us, VCR and VHS technology is something that we lived with for awhile. I remember when I was growing up I would go to the Suncoast Motion Picture Company in the mall to get most of my VHS movies. They always had the old and rare films that I couldn't find anywhere else.

This is video tech that my kids will never have to really deal with now that everything is digital. I remember the first time they came across a VHS tape, and I had to explain in to them. They, of course, didn't give a crap.

The Fine Bros. have released a humorous video which shows kids being introduced to this retro video viewing tech for the first time.

Yes some thought it played music or was a projector, but some did know what it was but never had used it before. There was however quite the struggle to put the tape in properly or even how to turn it on- once they did though, they were not impressed with the quality and were shocked to learn about the concept of going to a video store to rent a movie as well as how tapes would lose quality as you played your favorite movie over and over again. Also fun that the idea of recording a movie onto a tape is a thing of the past as the kids just say "you hit record on your remote" as to how they do that today.

Enjoy the video that will make some of you feel old.

MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Gets an R-Rating and a New International Trailer

Those of you hoping that George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road wouldn't water down the insanity for a PG-13 rating like most films these days will be happy to hear that the MPAA has given it an R-rating. So you can rest easy and know that this film is going to deliver the bloody carnage you crave.

The movie gets the R-rating for "intense sequences of violence throughout, and for disturbing images." Hopefully we get a red-band trailer soon, but in the meantime, here's a new international Japanese trailer that features a bit of new footage for your viewing enjoyment.

An apocalyptic story set in the furthest reaches of our planet, in a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, and almost everyone is crazed fighting for the necessities of life. Within this world exist two rebels on the run who just might be able to restore order. There's Max, a man of action and a man of few words, who seeks peace of mind following the loss of his wife and child in the aftermath of the chaos. And Furiosa, a woman of action and a woman who believes her path to survival may be achieved if she can make it across the desert back to her childhood homeland.

Mad Max: Fury Road will be unleashed on May 15th.

33 Marvel Comics Coming to an End as a Result of SECRET WARS

33-marvel-comics-ending-as-a-result-of-secret-wars

As a lot of you Marvel Comics fans know, Marvel is making some big moves in their comic lineup. Everything about our favorite characters is about to change. The Secret Wars series that Marvel is unleashing will result in the end of 33 different comics, ending the Marvel Comic universe as we know it.

Marvel’s SVP of Sales and Marketing David Gabriel recently talked to ComicBook.com and confirmed the 33 comics will be coming to a conclusion. He also talks about what fans can look forward to.

  • All-New Captain America
  • All-New Ghost Rider
  • All-New X-Men
  • Amazing Spider-Man
  • Amazing X-Men
  • Angela: Asgard’s Assassin
  • Avengers
  • Avengers World
  • Captain Marvel
  • Cyclops
  • Deadpool
  • Elektra
  • Fantastic Four
  • Guardians 3000
  • Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Hulk
  • Inhuman
  • Iron Fist: The Living Weapon
  • Legendary Star-Lord
  • Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man
  • New Avengers
  • Nightcrawler
  • Nova
  • Rocket Raccoon
  • Secret Avengers
  • Spider-Man & The X-Men
  • Spider-Man 2099
  • Storm
  • Superior Iron Man
  • Thor
  • Uncanny X-Men
  • Wolverines
  • X-Men

These comic titles are being referred to as the "616 finale," which will end the normal Marvel Universe stories for these characters. Gabriel explains what this all means:

"It means that there will be a “616 finale!” and that means exactly what many fans have suspected – everything ends. We’ve been saying it over and over again but at the core,Battleworld IS the Marvel Universe when Secret Wars #1 hits in May. But before that, there will be a number of titles reaching, what we’re calling, a “616 finale,” ending those stories and characters as you knew them – for now!

"Now in a perfect world, we’d have stopped every book with its April issue, putting out a nice clean May Previews catalog. Everyone would have seen upfront all those titles that had their finale, and all those titles that were starting fresh. But things don’t always go so easily.

"Instead we gave our creators the option to end their stories the way they wanted to; we let them tell "Last Days" stories if they wanted to; we let them tell Secret Wars stories if they wanted to. So in the end Secret Wars truly has been a creative driven process."

He goes on to discuss Secret Wars and what it means for the comic universe:

"Secret Wars is unlike any event ever published. It’s not just an event with a few tie-ins, it’s an entirely new publishing line, an entirely new television network’s fall line-up if you will. It’s not unlike what was done in the 1990s with Age of Apocalypse. Even then, that was just the X-Men titles. But this is so much more. The entire Marvel Universe will be affected in some really shocking, really surprising ways. And that’s just the beginning of the fun!"

Marvel is obviously having a fun time shaking things up not only in the comic universe, but in the cinematic universe as well. In the process of all this, some of your favorite characters will make it through. There will also be new characters, new locations, and new villains that will come from this madness. There's a lot more to this whole new era of Marvel, so for more information, click here.

If you are an avid Marvel Comics reader, what are your thoughts on what Marvel is doing with Secret Wars and the finale of the 616 universe? Are you excited about it? Are you confused? Are you pissed off?

Creepy POLTERGEIST TV Spot - "What Are you Afraid Of?"

"There are ghost stories, and then there's Poltergeist."

20th Century Fox has released a great new TV spot for their upcoming horror film Poltergeist that features some creepy new footage. They've also announced that the film has a new release date of May 22nd.

The movie comes from producer Sam Raimi (Spiderman, Evil Dead) and director Gil Kenan (Monster House). It stars Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt and centers on a family whose suburban home is haunted by evil forces. "When the terrifying apparitions escalate their attacks and hold the youngest daughter captive, the family must come together to rescue her before she disappears forever."

I'm a huge fan of the original film, but I've got to say that this movie looks a lot better than I thought it would, and I'm excited about checking it out!

Possible Spoilers for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, ANT-MAN, and AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

$

Some interesting new information has surfaced regarding the upcoming Marvel films Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man, and Avengers: Age of Ultron. These are just rumors for now, as there has been no confirmation of the intel, but if it's true then you can consider them major SPOILERS.

The details involve some surprise Marvel characters that will appear in these movie, and other characters that will not...because they will be dead.

If you don't want to know any of this information, then I suggest you stop reading now. The following information comes from Bleeding Cool.

Here.

We.

Go.

Not only will Captain America: Civil War feature Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and Black Panther, the film will reportedly also include  Hulk, Thor, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Wasp, and a fourteen year old Peter Parker a.k.a. Spider-Man.

The report goes on to say that they reason Quicksilver is not mentioned in the list above is because he doesn’t make it out Avengers: Age Of Ultron alive.

It's also been confirmed that Agent Coulson will not make an appearance in the next Avengers film.

Then there's the clip in the trailers that we've seen of Hulk and Black Widow getting close with each other. That will lead to flirting and then a kiss…

As for Ant-Man, apparently Falcon will make an appearance.

That's all we have for now, but there's some pretty spectacular stuff that could go down if it's all true. With the Civil War storyline being as big as it is, I imagined we'd see several other Avengers show up for some action.

What do you think about these recent rumors?

5 New Anime To Watch This Spring

$

0

Two weeks from now a fresh batch of anime series will premiere, and it's going to be a hype season to be sure. Digimon is making its return, Dragon Ball Z has a new movie, and Ghost in The Shell: Arise is coming to television in an edited film format. That should get you hyped enough for the spring season, but in case you need a bit more to jolt you into the spring season here are five new anime premiering that I'll have an eye on.

Full disclosure: I'm not the kind of guy for slice of life and harem type genres, so most of my picks are going to be action heavy.

Is It Wrong To Try And Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?

By far the most hyped title coming into the Spring season. Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka? or Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls in A Dungeon? follows young adventurer Bell Cranel and his adventures in the town of Labyrinths, aka Orario, aka "dungeon." Basically this kid is in a city that is a giant dungeon with many perils and such along with other characters. His dream is to find a woman, and upon being saved from a minotaur by a badass, attractive one, he falls in love with her. He then begins his journey to up his adventure game to her level and falls into some action and hijinks along the way.

The manga for this series was very highly rated amongst the Otaku community, and while that doesn't always mean quality, for my tastes I do enjoy good action with a mix of comedy. I keep reading about some Lolita aspect thing, which, to be honest, is a bit of a turn off when it comes to shows I watch...but it's mostly unavoidable due to the culture, so I'll give it a shot. Like I mentioned earlier, this is the title a lot of people are talking about going into the upcoming season, so check it out and decide if it's for you before a hundred other people tell you to watch.

Oh, by the way, those captions on the video are absolute s***. Get it together, Warner Bros Anime!

Seraph Of The End

Otherwise known as Owari No Seraph, this is another adaptation of a popular manga (go figure). It's also one of two upcoming anime this season that deal with vampires. An unknown virus wipes through the Earth and destroys the adult human population leaving behind only children. That would be bad enough on its own, but then vampires enslave the human children. To survive, the children must "donate" blood to their vampire captors. The story follows Yuichiro Hyakuya, a human who wishes to become a strong enough fighter to destroy all the vampires.

Pretty basic plot in terms of anime, but the manga did hit the top three of the New York Times best selling list (for manga). That would likely explain the catering to American audiences in subtitling the trailer. It sounds like something I've watched a couple times over in different series, but I had no gripes with similar series, so why not give this one a couple episodes? The animation team comes from Inuyasha and Full Metal Panic, so that alone is reason to give it a go.

I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHAT MY HUSBAND IS SAYING!!!! (Season 2)

I mentioned earlier I don't watch romance anime, but this show is hilarious. A traditional Japanese girl marries an Otaku blogger and each three minute episode chronicles their life together. Yeah, not all Japanese people are extreme anime fans if you haven't gotten that memo yet. If the above clip didn't convince you to check out the first season, then by all means skip this one, but I think it's great. It might have something to do with the fact I'm married to a non geek who still reads my articles even though she doesn't understand them (love you Mal), so there are a lot of parallels.

Blood Blockade Battlefront

Out of all the titles on this list, I am by far most hyped for this one! Also known as Kekkai Sensen, Blood Blockade Battlefront takes place in New York City. When an interdimensional bubble engulfs the most famous city in the world, aliens, werewolves, vampires, and demons are all forced to live in harmony. For years this happens with what I would presume a normal amount of New Yorker hostility when suddenly the bubble threatens to burst. A group of superhumans teams together to prevent the bubble from bursting and the story begins.

The only reason I have this one so far down on the list is because I've heard next to no hype about it, and "pre-ratings" for the series are very low. I'm not one for pre-ratings to begin with, but apparently I'm missing something that gave this series a bad rep back in its manga run. Regardless, I'm going to say screw the community and give this one a go. For all intents and purposes it sounds awesome.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan

Arslan Senki is a reboot of the popular series first aired in 1991-1995, based off the popular manga, based off the popular novel of the '70s. The series follows Arslan, a young prince striving to be a ruler like his powerful father. Things go Game of Thrones-y very quickly, and Arslan is forced to flee as his father's reign is toppled by opposition. The overall story has been booted and rebooted for the past 40 years, which should point to its popularity overseas. This one will undoubtedly be a hit unless it does something major to piss off fans of the series. Expect this one to be a "must watch" on many lists.

Of course, this is just my list, and I'm in no way the premiere source for what you should watch! Share the hype! Post stuff you're looking forward to. Share the love and get hyped because the spring season kicks off in April!

AMC's PREACHER Casts AGENTS OF SHIELD Star as Tulip

$

Last week, I wrote about how Marvel alum Dominic Cooper is reportedly the frontrunner for the lead role of Reverend Jesse Custer in AMC's Preacher TV series, the adaptation of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon's acclaimed comic book. That casting is yet to be confirmed, but the network has made its first official casting decision, and they've brought in another Marvel player for the female lead. Deadline reports that Ruth Negga (Misfits, World War Z, the upcoming Warcraft film) has scored the part of Tulip, Custer's gun-toting ex-girlfriend. Everything I've heard indicates that the actress gave some much-needed life to the first season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., so while there will undoubtedly be some fans who get up in arms over the fact that Tulip won't be played by a blonde white woman, the important thing to concentrate on is that there's a solid actress embodying this character.

For those who haven't read the comic on which this series will be based (please remedy that as soon as possible), here's the official description of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg's adaptation:

Preacher follows Reverend Jesse Custer, a tough Texas preacher who has lost his faith, and has learned that God has left Heaven and abandoned his responsibilities. He finds himself the only person capable of tracking God down, demanding answers, and making him answer for his dereliction of duty. Accompanying Jesse on his journey is his former girlfriend and a friendly vampire who seems to prefer a pint in the pub to the blood of the innocent. On his tail is one of the most iconic bad guys in print – an immortal, unstoppable killing machine named the Saint of Killers —a western lone gunman archetype whose sole purpose is to hunt and kill Jesse.

Tulip is described as "a volatile, action-packed, sexified force of nature, a capable, unrepentant criminal with a love of fashion and ability to construct helicopter-downing bazookas out of coffee cans and corn shine who’s not afraid to steal, kill or corn cob-stab her way out of a bad situation." Sounds pretty true to the comic version of the character to me, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the cast fills out and how Rogen and Goldberg translate this crazy source material to the small screen.

AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON TV Spot Reveals Tons of New Footage

When Disney/Marvel sent over this new TV spot for Avengers: Age of Ultron, I almost didn't even watch it, because a lot of times, TV spots are mostly made up of footage we've already seen in trailers. But this almost makes me feel like I'm seeing an entirely new movie, because it's absolutely jam-packed with brand new images and scenes from the film. It starts off with some Tony Stark quips before giving each of the Avengers his/her own moment to shine, and showing off some awesome action beats that we haven't seen before.

There are so many cool moments in this (including our first taste of Quicksilver's accent), but I think my favorite is when Thor smashes Cap's shield through a bunch of Ultron's robots like a baseball. Check it out below and tell us your favorite moment in the comments!

We've seen a bunch of cool geeky cakes over the years, and even some Star Wars-related ones, but I think this might be the first cake based on a character from J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The little soccer ball-style droid named BB-8 was a big hit when the teaser trailer premiered last year, and now there's a new cake that's been designed to look just like it. Nerdist has an interview with the folks at CakeRush who created this delicious-looking delicacy, so head over there to get a full breakdown of how it was made and some photos of the step-by-step process. But if you want to take a look at a few pics of the final product, just scroll down and check them out below.

Also, check out this fan-made video that shows BB-8 in action.

GeekTyrant & FilmQuest Film Festival Form Epic Partnership

Yesterday, we brought you news that we partnered up with FantasyCon. Today, we are proud to announce we have also partnered up with FilmQuest, a film festival who is also partnered with and sponsored by FantasyCon.

As you know we love movies here at GeekTyrant, and we are always sharing short films for you to watch. We've seen a lot of short films that we've posted over the years get picked up by major studios and adapted into feature films. Some directors who got their start with short films include Neil Blomkamp, George Lucas, Mike Judge, Jared Hess, Wes Anderson, Paul Thomas Anderson, Tim Burton, and more. FilmQuest was designed to find and help launch the careers of up-and-coming talented filmmakers who could be the future of filmmaking, and GeekTyrant will have the opportunity to help.

FilmQuest had its inaugural season in the summer of 2014, and was launched by filmmaker Jonathan Martin, whose horror short film An Evening with My Comatose Mother is the most awarded horror short film of all time. With the experience of over 100 international film festivals under his belt, Jonathan wanted to bring the very best qualities of film festivals to FilmQuest, which centers on genres of filmmaking like fantasy, horror, sci-fi and beyond!

FilmQuest is described as “a festival experience that is the kind most filmmakers dream about. It is the goal of FilmQuest to celebrate the majesty and might of genre filmmaking and its filmmakers by delivering one of the very best festival celebrations we can."

The goal of FilmQuest is to “bring you an experience unlike any other that not only rewards but advances your career as a filmmaker and an artist. It is our hope that FilmQuest helps to lay a foundation for new and upcoming filmmakers, furthers the careers of more established professionals, inspires its patrons, and can be a home for filmmakers for years to come.”

The mascot of the festival is the H.P. Lovecraft creature, Cthulhu. Every award winner at the festival receives The FilmQuest Cthulhu Trophy. It’s a stunning work of art, and is manufactured exclusively for FilmQuest. It stands 12 inches tall, with brushed silver and weighs 3 pounds. It’s an award that any filmmaker would be proud to take home, and on top of that it’s just freakin’ cool. It’s also a symbol for all things Fantastic: Sci-Fi, Horror and Fantasy all rolled into one.

Our partnership with FilmQuest is only going to strengthen GeekTyrant’s brand and reputation. We will be given exclusive access to the films and talent who created them. It will allow us to conduct interviews, share their films, and help these filmmakers realize their dreams. We will also moderate screenings at the festival, and be involved with judging the films entered.

I pity the fool who doesn't watch Mr. T's upcoming home improvement show! The former A-Team star is set to host a show called I Pity the Tool that will center around home renovations. I know a lot of people who are into these kinds of series, but I'm not one of them. However, the fact that Mr. T is leading the charge in the show should make it a lot better than the other ones that are currently airing.

The series is set up for DIY Network, and according to THR it "will see Mr. T and his famed Mohawk destroying outdated spaces to give families beautifully remodeled rooms. Each episode of the series will see Mr. T and his team — including HGTV Design Star winner and interior designer Tiffany Brooks break down walls and tear out old rooms to give a family a home makeover."

Mr. T was one of my favorite TV characters when I was a kid, and this should provide some fun entertainment. The series will debut sometime this year.
