Artist Jason Edmiston created this awesome piece of tribute art for Rocky IV featuring the badass boxer Ivan Drago, played by Dolph Lundgren, carved into a mountain. Rocky is climbing up the mountain and ready to take it on. I’ve always liked Rocky IV, regardless of how cheesy and over-the-top it was. Hell, those are the reasons why I liked it so much!

The English print is the regular. It’s a 24 x 36 inch, 9 color screenprint in an edition of 150. It will cost you $50. Then there’s a Russian variant, which comes in an edition of 75 and will cost you $60.

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn was asked on Facebook whether or not he would like to take on a DC superhero movie, and if he is prevented from making one by his commitment with Marvel, and he replied,

"I am precluded. Would have loved to have done Shazam."

A Shazam movie directed by Gunn would have been incredible. That's a version I would have been excited about watching. Too bad it's not going to happen, but at least we're guaranteed to get more Guardians of the Galaxy!

Shazam is set up at Warner Bros. and Dwayne Johnson is set to play Black Adam in the movie. There's been a little confusion amongst fans as to whether the movie would be included in the same cinematic universe as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice due to a comment Johnson made that it would be a “NL//DC property.” Some people thought he may have been referring to New Line’s slate of standalone DC films. It seems there has been some clarification on that thanks to a blog post from DC Comics.

"Yes, there were rumors of some sort of film slate, mentions that Warner Bros. had 'big plans' for DC Entertainment and occasional informal announcements (like the news that New Line had a Shazam movie in development). But for fans who were hoping to see a DC Cinematic Universe similar to what they’ve seen from other publishers, one that included super heroes other than Superman or Batman, there didn’t seem to be a lot to talk about.

"That changed on October 15, 2014, when Warner Bros. revealed a full slate of ten DC Entertainment feature films all set within the same universe. The list included the movies we were hoping to see—Wonder Woman will get her own film, while the Justice League will get TWO movies. However, it also included quite a few surprises. A standalone Cyborg movie! A Flash feature starring Ezra Miller! A Suicide Squad movie! And coming in 2016, no less!!"

Now, just because they will be set in the same universe doesn't mean we'll see the same kind of crossover stuff that Marvel is doing. But I do hope that they do include some crossovers in future films. I would love to see Shazam and Superman in the in the same movie.

Shazam! is set to be released on April 5th, 2019.

Cinema Sins has released a new episode of their “Everything Wrong” web-series, and this one takes on James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy. As you might expect from these guys, they nit-pick the hell out of this awesome movie. They really had reach to find some things, and most of what they deliver is pretty minor stuff. That’s just what these Cinema Sins guys do, though. If you’ve been watching their videos, then you know what to expect. 

“You loved it, everyone loved it, it's one of the highest-grossing films of the year... but, like all films, Guardians of the Galaxy still has some sins. Sit back, put in your favorite 70's tune, and groove to the sins of an admittedly-rather-groovy film.”

We have two final trailers for you to watch for Kevin Heart and Josh Gad’s incredibly funny looking comedy The Wedding Ringer. One of the trailers was released for US audiences, and the other is for UK, and they both offer some fun footage from the movie. Surprisingly, this looks so much more entertaining than I thought it would be. Hopefully the full film offers some good laughs that we haven't seen in the trailers.

Doug Harris (Gad) is a loveable but socially awkward groom-to-be with a problem: he has no best man. With less than two weeks to go until he marries the girl of his dreams (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting), Doug is referred to Jimmy Callahan (Hart), owner and CEO of Best Man, Inc., a company that provides flattering best men for socially challenged guys in need. What ensues is a hilarious wedding charade as they try to pull off the big con, and an unexpected budding bromance between Doug and his fake best man Jimmy.

The comedy comes out on January 16th, 2015.

We have some photos of an insanely cool and stylized samurai Darth Vader action figure that comes from Square-Enix's Variant Play Arts Kai toy line. As you can see it offers up a different take on the villain's costume design, and the detail on it is freakin' impressive! One of my favorite parts is the lightsaber, which makes me want to make that lightsaber wooshing sound effect when I see it. It also comes with a variety of alternate hands, Including one with a giant flame coming out of it. Why? I don't know! Because it looks cool?! What good is the Dark Side of the force if you can't conjure up menacing flames?

There's no release date for this Darth Vader figure yet, but the suggested retail price is around $100.

Captain America star Chris Evans stars in this live-action commercial for Call of Duty Online. This is a very different battlefield situation than we're used to seeing Evans in. Call of Duty is getting some great live action ads, like the one directed by Peter Berg that starred Taylor Kitsch, which you can watch here. 

Call of Duty Online has been developed specifically for China, a country where video game consoles have been banned since 2000. It has been described as a "free-to-play micro transaction game." It's currently in beta, and its full release is expected to come next year. 

The game features a new gaming model which gives the player the ability to personalize weapons, characters and equipment 'with localized, unique content tailored to the needs and interest of gamers in China.' The game also reuses dozens of maps, character models and weapons from both the Modern Warfare and Black Ops series.

The game is expected to be huge once it's released. If we ever see a live action Call of Duty movie, how cool would it be if Kitsch and Evans were cast to star in it? They might as well, they both would be awesome in it. This looks like it could be a tease of a much longer trailer, but we'll see.

A robot searches for his creator in the desert lands outside of the city in which he resides in this short film called "We Were Not Made For This World." The film was directed by Colin West McDonald, and it's a bleak story that is beautifully told. The short is based on a comic of the same named created by award-winning cartoonist Paul Hornschemeier, and it's a reflection on the search for purpose and how it may never be found.

I just barely finished watching the first season of Showtime's Penny Dreadful, and I really enjoyed it. Today we have a promo trailer to share with you for the second season, and I'm looking forward to the next chapter in the story. 

Eva Green's character Vanessa Ives finds her powers to be “a curse and a blessing” in the new spot, which you can watch below. The series also stars Josh Hartnett, Timothy Dalton, Helen McCrory, and Simon Russell Beale. 

The series was created by screenwriter John Logan and executive produced by director Sam Mendes. They both worked together on Skyfall, which is probably one of the reasons why this series turned out so damn good. 

Penny Dreadful Season 2 is currently in production on its 10-episode second season in Dublin, Ireland, and it should be released in 2015. For those of you who haven't seen it yet, Showtime is holding a Season One marathon on New Year’s Eve starting at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

We are likely not going to see a DC and Marvel crossover movie for a long time, if it were ever to happen at all. I think that once the hype and love for superhero movies becomes long spent from the box office we'll see it happen. Until then, we've got a fan edit by Mr 8866 that puts Iron Man against Superman. The edit, color, and effects really help sell the showdown. Well done, sir.

Earlier this month we brought you an insane trailer for George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road, and it was seriously one of the most adrenaline-fueled trailers that has ever been cut together. If you haven't watched it yet for some reason, click here. Today we've got a new photo from the film featuring Tom Hardy's Max carrying Nicholas Hoult's Nux on his back, and Hardy just looks insane. Especially with that gnarly mask on his face. Here's the synopsis:

In this short titled "The Incredible Hulk Hands," a nerd finds a pair of Hulk Hands that imbue him with Hulk like strength. It was created by Ari Fararooy and has a very Wes Anderson vibe to it. The short stars Youtube comedy groups The Jasons and Momma Outta Bullets.

An epic martial arts movie with Jackie Chan makes complete sense. But I had a WTF moment when I saw John Cusack and Adrian Brody's names attached to Dragon Blade, only to have my mind further blown by watching the trailer. Wow, this movie looks like 100 different kinds of terrible. GeekTyrant editor Eli Reyes told me that it "looks like an SNL fake trailer." As much as I'm razzing this movie I would still sit down and watch the hell out of it, and maybe that's the point.

Synopsis by First Showing:

Inspired by a missing legion of Roman soldiers that traveled into China in 48 BCE, the film follows Huo An (Chan) as Commander of the Protectorate of the Western Regions who teams up with Lucius (Cusack), a Roman general who led a legion of a 1,000 soldiers into Han Dynasty China, to protect China's borders and sovereignty. Meanwhile, Tiberius (Brody) has assassinated Rome's Consul Crassus and chases after Lucius with a force of 100,000 soldiers. 

Dragon Blade has an international release date of February 19th, 2015. No US release date has been announced.

If you didn’t get that White Christmas you were dreaming of and just got a windy or rainy one this year, here’s a video that’ll fill the void left by not yet getting to peg someone in the face with a snowball. Creative design agency Exit 10 put together this ultra-slow motion video using a Phantom high-speed camera (shooting at 1,500 frames per second), snowballs, and participants (employees of the agency) willing to receive a “slushy, well-hurled snowball to the face.”

Here’s the first official photo from the upcoming spy thriller, The Man From U.N.C.L.E., which stars Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer, both of whom are looking pretty slick in the image. Here’s a synopsis for the Guy Ritchie-directed flick:

Henry Cavill (“Man of Steel”) stars as Napoleon Solo opposite Armie Hammer (“The Social Network”) as Illya Kuryakin in director Guy Ritchie’s action adventure “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.,” a fresh take on the hugely popular 1960s television series. Set against the backdrop of the early 1960s, at the height of the Cold War, “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” centers on CIA agent Solo and KGB agent Kuryakin.  Forced to put aside longstanding hostilities, the two team up on a joint mission to stop a mysterious international criminal organization, which is bent on destabilizing the fragile balance of power through the proliferation of nuclear weapons and technology.  The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, who is the key to infiltrating the criminal organization, and they must race against time to find him and prevent a worldwide catastrophe.

The film also stars Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, and Jared Harris, and it’s set to be released on August 14th, 2015.

Before Will Smith and Margot Robbie team up for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, they’ll appear together in the romance crime dramedy Focus. The movie was written and directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who brought us the film Crazy Stupid Love. It looks like Smith and Robbie have great chemistry, and this could end up being a decent flick worth checking out. I've always enjoyed a fun con movie. 

Will Smith stars as Nicky, a seasoned master of misdirection who becomes romantically involved with novice con artist Jess (Margot Robbie). As he’s teaching her the tricks of the trade, she gets too close for comfort and he abruptly breaks it off. Three years later, the former flame—now an accomplished femme fatale—shows up in Buenos Aires in the middle of the high stakes racecar circuit. In the midst of Nicky’s latest, very dangerous scheme, she throws his plans for a loop… and the consummate con man off his game.

Focus opens in theaters on February 27th, 2015.

Finally, a reason for me to start my astronaut training! I was just waiting for the right sweatsuit to work out in. I have no more excuses now that we have this spacesuit style sweatsuit. It’s printed to look exactly like Neil Armstrong's Apollo 11 spacesuit. Of course you wouldn’t live very long if you were sucked out in to the vacuum of deep space wearing it. But here on Earth it seems like it would be comfortable and really cool. If you want to buy yourself one it will cost you $139 right here. After I get it, I’ll go pick up some astronaut ice cream, and make a party out of it by watching Apollo 13 and The Right Stuff. 

Rise of the Planet of the Apes director Rupert Wyatt is developing a 10-episode sci-fi series called Echo Chamber. The story follows a British soldier who goes undercover in the IRA, but a lot seems to have changed since the project was originally announced over three years ago. 

Echo Chamber was originally based on the true story of a British soldier who infiltrates the Irish Republican Army for British intelligence. The soldier rises through the ranks of the IRA in the process, and things get incredibly dangerous. The series has evolved into a sci-fi series. 

The project was originally set up at HBO as a miniseries that would be told in three 90-minute parts. It’s no longer at HBO, though, and now it will be told over the course of ten episodes. 

In an interview with /Film, the director explains:

“Yeah, it was originally developed based on a true story, which HBO and I were going to do, but we’ve evolved it into more of a science fiction temper, so yeah.”

He goes a little bit more into detail on the sci-fi element of the story in a separate interview with Collider:

“It’s based on a true story of a British solider who goes undercover into the IRA, but we transferred it to a more science fiction context, so it follows the same trajectory of the character but it’s a different setting though.”

He also says that he will be directing all ten episodes, which seems like quite the undertaking and challenge for anyone. He also mentions that a place like Netflix would be a good home:

“I’m going to direct all 10 episodes. [...] I’m thrilled by the whole notion of making a long-form film and the idea is set into ten parts. It’s why Netflix might be a better place for it, because we’re mounting it as one huge film.”

If all goes as planned, Wyatt will go into production on the film next year or the year after. Sounds like it could be a great series to watch!

Check out this huge LEGO model of Halo: Combat Evolved’s Pillar of Autumn spacecraft. It was built by Lee Jones, and he used $7,000 worth of Lego bricks to build it. The recreation is 2.15 metres long, weighs just over 100kg, and took 3.5 years to complete. As you can see, the detail is insanely impressive.
