Ah, Liara. She is one of my favorites — if not my favorite — crew member of the Normandy, and she is beautifully represented here in Gaming Heads' latest addition to the Mass Effect line. The deadly Asari biotic stands 19 inches tall, and the mid action pose is fantastic and a nice contrast to the more provocative Bishoujo rendition of the character (though I love that statue too).

The regular version comes with an interchangeable left hand — one free of anything, one with her Phalanx pistol, and one with a biotic field (which you can see below). The exclusive version comes with interchangeable right hands on top of that — one containing another biotic field and one that is empty. HBO is prepping to go into production on their adaptation of Michael Crichton's 1973 film, Westworld. J.J. Abrams is producing the series, and the pilot episode is being co-written and directed by Jonathan Nolan. The cable network has also just cast Anthony Hopkins and Evan Rachel Wood in the new series. The thriller is described as a "dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin."

Hopkins is set to play Dr. Robert Ford, "the brilliant, taciturn and complicated creative director, chief programmer and chairman of the board of Westworld, who has an uncompromising creative vision for the park — and unorthodox methods of achieving it." As for Wood, she will take on the role of Dolores Abernathy, "the quintessential farm girl of the frontier West — who is about to discover that her entire idyllic existence is an elaborately constructed lie."

The fact that they got Hopkins is fantastic! It just shows you the potential that this series has. I'm a fan of the original movie, and I'm confident that this series will be even better. It's got such a solid team of talent behind it. 

The original flick centers on a robot that malfunctions and creates havoc and terror for unsuspecting vacationers at a futuristic, adult-themed amusement park.

Warner Bros. has released this new close-up image of Ben Affleck looking like a complete badass as Batman in Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He's definitely got that solid superhero chin. I don't care what anyone says, I think Affleck is going to be great in this role, and I can't wait to see him and Superman on the big screen together. Hopefully Snyder is able to deliver a solid script and story as well.

Marvel Studios has released a new featurette for Guardians of the Galaxy. This one explores the relationship between Nebula (Karen Gillan) and Gamora (Zoe Saldana). These are two incredibly badass characters, they are related, and they are going to kick each other's asses. Ya gotta love sibling rivalry.

Leo, Mike, Raph, and Don are all featured in this fantastic set of stylistic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan art by Rich Pellegrino. What I like about this set is that it's based on the original turtle designs. I've seen so much of the new Ninja Turtles style from the movie that when art like this comes along, I'm reminded at how much better these designs are. 

The illustration is part of the tribute art show “Cowabunga! 30 Years of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” The show opens July 19th 2014, at Iam8bit.

Paramount Pictures surprised fans at Comic-Con with a trailer for Hot Tub Time Machine 2. Clark Duke came out on stage to present the trailer, and shortly after they released the following red-band trailer online, and it looks pretty damn funny. If you liked the first movie, then you should enjoy the sequel… minus John Cusack.

Craig Robinson and Rob Corddry also reprise roles, and they are joined by Adam Scott this time around. The story looks just as ridiculously crazy as the first film. There are some Terminator and Fringe references included in the trailer that are freakin' fantastic!

Whiplash was my favorite movie at Sundance this year, and it's still easily one of the best movies that I've seen all year. A trailer for this amazing film has finally been released online and you need to watch it. This is one of those movies that everyone needs to see, it's just so damn good! It's got an amazing story, strong characters and it's ridiculously intense. 

The movie stars Miles Teller as Andrew Neyman, a young jazz drummer who attends one of the top music schools in the country under the guidance of the school’s fearsome maestro of jazz named Terence Fletcher, played by J.K. Simmons.

Both of these actors give the best performances of their careers in this movie. Make sure to read our review of it here. Now watch the trailer! The movie is set to be released on October 10th.

The Ninja Turtles marketing machine is in full gear, and it seems like everyday there's a new poster, trailer, TV spot, or piece of art to post. Today we have six new TV spots and a poster for you to check out! It seems like overkill, but that's basically what's happening with every big budget movie like this. This is what Hollywood has become, and I suspect things will get even crazier in the future. The movie is set to be released on August 1st.

To coincide with Comic-Con, Xbox Entertainment has released the first official trailer and banner for their upcoming digital feature Halo: Nightfall! I've got to say… this thing looks extremely cool! This has potential to be a great digital series, and I'm looking forward to checking it out.

The story takes place between the events of Halo 4 and the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians. It stars Mike Colter as Jameson Locke, who is "a surgically-enhanced super soldier who is a rising star in a futuristic Spartan army and troubled by the military industrial complex he inhabits."

Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Prison Break) is directing the series, which is being produced by Ridley Scott. It’s also targeting a release before the end of 2014. To see more photos and additional information on the series, click here.

During the Penguins of Madagascar panel at Comic-Con, Benedict Cumberbatch showed up to promote the film. After all these years he finally makes it to Comic-Con to promote an animated movie that he's lends his voice too. Or maybe he's also here for something else? There's a lot of speculation that Marvel is going to officially announce that the actor will play Doctor Strange in their feature film adaptation.

During the Q&A yesterday the actor is asked what superhero he would most like to play, and while answering he definitely teases the role of Doctor Strange. We have a video clip of how that all went down that you can watch now!

Robot Chicken addresses the worries that fans have about Star Wars: Episode VII in this hilarious comedy sketch featuring the "Jitters Song." I might be a little nervous about the new Star Wars film, but not as nervous as this guy. Robot Chicken never fails to make me laugh, enjoy the video!

Here's another poster for Daniel Radcliffe's great looking supernatural thriller Horns. The film is an adaptation of the book written by Joe Hill, and it's being directed by Alexandre Aja (Piranha). 

Radcliffe plays Ig Perrish, "the lead suspect in the violent rape and killing of his girlfriend. Hungover from a night of hard drinking, Ig awakens one morning to find horns starting to grow from his head. Their power drives people to confess sins and give in to selfish impulses -- an effective tool in his quest to discover the circumstances of his girlfriend's death and for exacting revenge. The dark fantasy explores why bad things happen to good people and what the loss of true love can do to a man."

Mondo has released this piece of poster art for Heavy Metal that was created by Swedish artist Killian Eng. The illustration is being billed as a teaser poster for an upcoming movie that we really know nothing about. There's also a recently released action figure created by Retroband that is based on the original 1981 film, and there will be a series of them released.

The poster debuted on Variety, and Heavy Metal publisher Jeff Krelitz said that “this is an opportunity to connect with the fans and listen to what they want to see as well as presenting them with our vision.” The report also says Krelitz wanted to partner with Mondo to "create a teaser poster for the reboot of the Heavy Metal movie.”

It's really interesting that a teaser poster was released before any kind of movie is even really in development. Variety does say that the company is looking at the original film and will use designs to “showcase its love of its history as an art and comics touchstone, as it moves into its evolutionary phase as an all-media company.”

We'll fill you in on more information on the movie as soon it becomes available. That's all we have for now, though.

To promote Interstellar, director Christopher Nolan and actor Matthew McConaughey came to Comic-Con for their first time ever. Which seems pretty crazy, as Nolan did three Batman films and never once made it to Comic-Con before. McConaughey shared how he became attached to the project. Nolan spoke about how the idea for Interstellar came about and what films influenced its development.

The sneak peek footage is exclusive to Comic-Con. We are not allowed to film it. We respect the filmmakers, studios, and the convention by abiding to their rules.

Interstellar launches into theaters November 7th, 2014 (USA).

FX has released a brief new teaser for Sons of Anarchy season 7. It gives us a look at Jax (Charlie Hunnam) being pursued by a helicopter. He looks up into the dark sky, and as the spotlight crosses over his face it changes into a skull. I imagine that the reason for that is because one of the tag lines for the final season is "Fear the Reaper." I've been a huge fan of this series over the years, and I can't wait to see how it all comes to an end.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron posters continue to roll out from Comic-Con! Marvel has released two more character posters featuring Quicksilver, Vision, and Hawkeye. All of the posters make up a giant image featuring the Avengers team being over run with Ultron madness! It looks like it's going to be an epically awesome visual, and I've included an image of what that full poster currently looks like. There are two more pieces that need to be released with Thor and Hulk.

Peter Dinklage introduces a behind the scenes video for his upcoming classic video game inspired film, Pixels. The video is called "Pixels - Comic Con 2014 Electric Dreams Factory Arcade Promo," and it give us some footage from the set of the movie and a better look at Dinklage's character. 

The movie is directed by Chris Columbus and also stars Adam Sandler, Josh Gad, and Michelle Monaghan. It also includes video game characters such as PAC-MAN, Donkey Kong, Centipede, Galaga, Frogger, Q*bert, and Space Invaders.

In Pixels, when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults.  President Will Cooper (James) has to call on his childhood best friend, '80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage and Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet.  Monaghan plays the team's unique weapons specialist.

This would have been the worst fate for Han Solo… being trapped in carbonite, and then being being turned into a toilet seat. This thing actually kind of creeps me out! The thought of walking into the bathroom in the middle of the night while half asleep and then turning on the light just to see this would probably weird me out. If you want one it will cost you $60.
