"Cinco" Reasons Anyone Should Love Tim and Eric

$
0
0

With Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie on the way, I feel there will now be three camps in the Tim and Eric debate. In the ongoing Tim and Eric debate you have two camps, "Pep-pep's" and misguided Chippies who don't like Tim and Eric. This articles for the Pep-pep's to give to their misguided Chippies to potentially (although not likely as they are closed minded) sway their opinion on perhaps one of the greatest comedy duo's of our time. So let's start with...............(cough).........................................

CINCO!

CINCO products celebrate all that is great about those cheesy nostalgic late night commercials on the television. The offers are too good to be true, the products are often nonsensical and have no practical use, and buying them only makes you a worse individual....so yeah it's pretty much like the real commercials. By the way that's an Apple III in the video there.

It's Like A Nightmare You Had As A Child!

That's the best way I can describe it. If you can remember when you were a kid, there was a lot of s*** you didn't get. Seemingly harmless things tended to scare you, awkward moments made you feel nervous, and loud noises sent you through the roof. This odd, surreal, feeling is something that David Lynch made famous, and Tim and Eric made funny. Think the comparison is way out of left field? Look at the two below.

Cameo's!

Will Forte, Rainn Wilson, Ted Danson, Paul Rudd, David Cross, Bill Hader, Patton Oswalt, Jonah Hill, Marilyn Manson, John Mayer, Zach Galifinakis, John C. Reilly, Flight of the Conchords, Will Ferrell, Danny Trejo, The Shins, Ben Stiller, Levar Burton, Michael Cera, Weird Al Yankovich, Jeff motherf****** Goldblum...and someone you thought had zero sense of humor...spiritual singer Josh Groban.

The Genius of Bob Odenkirk

If it wasn't for Bob Odenkirk Tim and Eric wouldn't be the people they are today. Who is Bob Odenkirk you say? Oh he's no big deal...he's just been a writer for Saturday Night Live (80's), Get A Life, The Ben Stiller Show, The Dennis Miller Show, and of course the critically acclaimed Mr. Show.

He helped Tim and Eric get their start with their first show Tom Goes to The Mayor (also hilarious) and is a frequent contributor to Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job! Among his numerous creations it was he who invented the infamous Chris Farley character Matt Foley, motivational speaker. Hell if that's not enough prove this guy's comedy is gold, check out his character on Breaking Bad!

It's Funny, and Even When It's Not You Still Laugh.

This is the genius of Tim and Eric. Either you laugh because you think it's funny, or it's so awkwardly terrible that you have to laugh anyway because you don't know what else to do. It's a post-modern, chic, anti-humor that even television commercials are starting to steal (Old Spice and every other ad like it).

You can say Tim and Eric is stupid, but in all honesty if you think that you've never watched the show, and if you did, it was to prove to a friend that you would hate it. Maybe it's not your taste, and that's fine to say...but don't you ever call it stupid....ever....unless it's stupid then it's okay.

FUNNY!

WEIRD AND AWKWARD + NOT FUNNY= FUNNY!

By the way the music is pretty epic. Thank you for reading, I love you and I wish you the best.

Fun New Clip for SHERLOCK HOLMES: A GAME OF SHADOWS

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is sure to be a huge hit! The movie looks incredibly exciting. I like the first movie and thought is had a great mix of action, adventure, humor, and drama. The sequel looks like it will at least be just as good as the first one, it definitely looks like it is going to have a lot more action. Ritchie even admitted in an interview that they "wanted to make it bigger and better."

A new clip has been released for the movie showing off Holmes and Watson having a nice little conversation on the side of a speeding train.

The highly-anticipated sequel was directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude LawNoomi RapaceJared HarrisEddie MarsanStephen Fry and Rachel McAdams. The film hits theaters on December 16th, check out the film clip below and tell us what you think!

Here's the Synopsis:

Sherlock Holmes (Downey Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty (Harris)—and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed byProfessor Moriarty. The cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead of Holmes as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.

JUSTICE LEAUGE DOOM Animated Movie Officially Announced!

$
0
0

Warner Bros. Animation continues to pump out movie straight to DVD DC Comics movies, and today it's been announced that they are developing Justice League Doom which will be inspired by Mark Waid's Tower of Babel storyline.

The story finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The film stars the voice talent of Nathan Fillion,  Kevin Conroy, Michael Rosenbaum and Tim Daly.

The DC comics animated movie are hit and miss for me. Some I like other I hate. The most recently film I saw was Batmas: Year One, and even though the animation was good, I didn't care for how it was brought to life. The direction was off, especially with the voice acting.

For those of you who enjoy watching these films then this might be one to get excited about. Here's to hoping it turns out good!

Here's the full press release:

Produced by Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation, the all-new, PG-13 rated film arrives February 28, 2012 from Warner Home Video as a Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack ($24.98 SRP) and DVD ($19.98 SRP), On Demand and for Download. Both the Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack and DVD will include an UltraViiolet™ Digital Copy,

Justice League: Doom finds Superman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter, Cyborg and Batman on their heels when a team of super villains discover and implement the Dark Knight’s “contingency plans” for stopping any rogue Justice League member. The story is inspired by Mark Waid’s much-heralded “JLA: Tower of Babel.”

Primetime television stars Nathan Fillion (Castle) and Tim Daly (Private Practice), the reigning voices of Green Lantern and Superman, respectively, join a group of eight actors reprising their famed Justice League cartoon roles. Fillion made his debut as Green Lantern/Hal Jordan in the recent Green Lantern: Emerald Knights, and took his initial DC Universe movie bow as the voice of Steve Trevor in the 2008 hit Wonder Woman. Daly originated his role as Superman’s voice in the landmark cartoon, Superman: The Animated Series. He has reprised the role in two DC Universe films: the 2009 extravaganza Superman/Batman: Public Enemies and the 2010 thriller Superman/Batman: Apocalypse.

The grand reunion of actors who provided the voices of the Justice League for the cartoon of the same name and its follow-up, Justice League Unlimited, includes Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series) as Batman, Michael Rosenbaum (Smallville, Breaking In) as Flash, Susan Eisenberg (Superman/Batman: Apocalypse) as Wonder Woman and Carl Lumbly (Alias) as J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter. Bumper Robinson (A Different World, Transformers: Animated) joins the cast as Cyborg.

The Justice League faces two sets of villainous teams in the film – The Royal Flush Gang and a sextet of notable evildoers. The latter group includes three voice acting alumni of the Justice League animated series: Phil Morris (Smallville, Seinfeld) as Vandal Savage, Olivia d’Abo (The Wonder Years) as Star Sapphire, and Alexis Denisof (Angel) as Mirror Master. Also opposing our heroes are Carlos Alazraqui (Reno 911) as Bane, Paul Blackthorne (The Dresden Files) as Metallo, and Claudia Black (Farscape, Stargate SG-1) as Cheetah.

David Kaufman (Danny Phantom) also reprises his Justice League role of Jimmy Olsen.

The film is executive produced by Bruce Timm (Batman: Year One), and directed by Lauren Montgomery (Batman: Year One), who is also credited as producer alongside Alan Burnett (Batman: The Animated Series). Justice League: Doom is the final DC Universe film script from the late Dwayne McDuffie (All-Star Superman, Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths), who passed away in February 2011. Casting and dialogue direction is once again in the capable hands of Andrea Romano (Batman: Year One, Justice League).

“Justice League: Doom has all the classic ingredients of a great super hero film – a cavalcade of dynamic villains, internal strife amongst our heroes, treacherous twists and turns, and a cast that brings together some of today’s popular primetime television actors with many of the fans’ favorite voices from the original series,” said Hersin Magante, Warner Home Video Marketing Director, Family & Animation. “I think fans will embrace Dwayne’s McDuffie’s final DCU script, particularly as it has been nuanced by Bruce Timm and the Warner Bros. Animation team. Warner Home Video is proud to distribute Justice League: Doom as the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie.”

Justice League: Doom Blu-Ray™ Combo Pack has 3 hours of exciting content, including:

• Standard and high definition versions of the feature film

• UltraViiolet™ Digital Copy,

• Sneak Peak at Superman vs. The Elite, the next DC Universe Animated Original Movie

• Featurette – “A Legion of One: The Dwayne McDuffie Story” – The skilled writer penned some of the best stories which consistently entertained fans. From his early writing career to adapting the popular work of All-Star Superman, this is the story of Dwayne McDuffie, as told by his family and friends.

• Featurette – “Guarding the Balance: Batman and the JLA” – Everyone has a weakness and so do superheroes, yet when they go rogue, their power can topple more than a few egos, they can shatter worlds. The Justice League is the most powerful organization of superheroes on the planet, but what if the Justice League went rogue, and decided to use their power for harm?

• Mini-featurette – “Their Time Has Come: Cyborg and the DC Universe’s New Diversity” – 2011 will go down in DC Comics storied history as a year when a rich diversity of characters were re-introduced into the spotlight alongside Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. One of the most celebrated of the re-imagined characters is Cyborg, who became the new Man of Steel in Geoff Johns’ altered universe storyline, Flashpoint.

• Creative team commentary

• Two bonus episodes from the Justice League animated series handpicked by Bruce Timm: Wild Cards, Part 1 and 2, written by Stan Berkowitz and Dwayne McDuffie

• Digital Comic

Here are some photos from Juan Solonas' sci-fi romance film Upside Down, starring Jim Sturgess courtesy of JimSturgessOnline.com (via FirstShowing). Sturgess plays a man searching for an alternate universe to find the love of his youth (Kirsten Dunst). The film tells the story of two star crossed lovers Adam and Eve "separated by opposite worlds, one up and one down, but both just out of reach of the other." The film does not yet have a distributor, but that is likely to change soon.

Synopsis:

Jim Sturgess stars as Adam, a seemingly ordinary guy in a very extraordinary universe. He lives humbly trying to make ends meet, but his romantic spirit holds on to the memory of a girl he met once upon a time from another world, an inverted affluent world with its own gravity, directly above but beyond reach... a girl named Eve, played by Kirsten Dunst. That childhood flirtation becomes an impossible love. But when he catches a glimpse of grown-up Eve on television, nothing will get in the way of getting her back.

The 2011 Black List has arrived online and there are a bunch of the hottest scripts in Hollywood. Some have already been picked up by studios, while most are still unproduced.
Here is the press release:
The Black List was compiled from the suggestions of over 300 film executives, each of whom contributed the names of up to ten of their favorite scripts that were written in, or are somehow uniquely associated with, 2011 and will not have begun principal photography during this calendar year.

This year, scripts had to receive at least six mentions to be included on the The Black List.

All reasonable effort has been made to confirm the information contained herein. The Black List apologizes for all misspellings, misattributions, incorrect representation identification, and questionable 2011 affiliations.

It has been said many times, but it's worth repeating:

The Black List is not a "best of" list. It is, at best, a "most liked" list.

Enjoy.

The first trailer for G.I. Joe: Retaliation is here, and hot damn! This actually looks like the G.I. Joe movie I was waiting for! I wasn't sure if Step Up 3D director Jon Chu could pull this off, but he did it with flying freakin' colors! I'm excited as hell for this movie! You can tell that this one was completely influenced by the animated series that most of us grew up with and loved as a kid! The last scene of this trailer sent chills down my spine it was so awesome! I'm utterly surprised and extremely happy with what I have seen in this trailer, and I can now honestly say that I'm looking forward to seeing this movie, and that's something I never thought I would say.

Watch the trailer for the film below and tell us what you think! The movie is set to be released on June 29th 2012!

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN - Full Length Video Game Trailer

Last week we showed you the first teaser trailer for Activision's The Amazing Spider-Man, we now have the full trailer for the Beenox developed video game, which is the tie-in video game for the Marc Webb directed movie. From what I've seen I think the movie looks great, and this video game actually doesn't look like it will be too bad. It could actually end up being a decent game.

Amazing Spider-Man will allow players roam freely in New York City. A new Web Rush mechanic will let players "pull off a vast array of moves never before possible." Basically the developers are attempting to make the game show off more of Spider-Man's acrobatic abilities.

The games original story was written by TV writer Seamus Kevin Fahey, who has written episodes of Spartacus: Gods of the Arena and Battlestar Galactica. The story will take gamers all over Manhattan and into the city sewers.

Check out the full trailer for the game below and tell us what you think!

Angelina Jolie and Luc Besson's thriller picked up by Universal

The untitled Angelina Jolie-Luc Besson thriller has found a home. THR reports that Universal has picked up North American rights the drama. The film is described as a “dramatic thriller with action.” I am pretty excited because it is reportedly going to be a mix of Besson’s The Professional and The Fifth Element. Besson wrote the screenplay and is set to produce and direct.

Universal is callling this film Besson’s return to the genre in which he made his name.  The studio will handle 80 percent of worldwide distribution rights to the project. Jolie is set to star in this film next, which will begin shooting April 2012 in Paris.

She just finished her writing and directorial debut for In the Land of Blood and Honey, which opens Dec. 23. She has a number of other projects in her pipeline, including a Gertrude Bell biopic and adaptation of the Kay Scarpetta novels.

Top 5 Favorite Winona Ryder Movies who was Just cast in THE ICEMAN

$

0

Actress Winona Ryder was just cast in a new indie film called The Iceman, in which she will star alongside Michael Shannon, Benico Del Toro, and Chris Evans. The film is being directed by Ariel Vromen and it's based on the book written by Anthony Bruno, which tells the story Richard Kuklinski, a family man who secretly carried out contract killings for the mob. The film looks awesomely intense, you can check out a clip that was shot right here

Since Ryder has been cast in the film I thought I'd take the opportunity to list my top 5 favorite films that the actress has been in.

Beetlejuice - this is just a great classic Tim Burton movie that I absolutely love. It's also the film that put Ryder on the road to stardom.

Girl Interrupted - Even though Angelina Jolie stole the show in this film, Ryder gave a very powerful performance. This really was a great film, and if you haven't seen it yet you should check it out.

Alien: Resuraction - It was nice to see Ryder take on the role of a badass in this fun sci-fi film that should have been a hell of a lot better.

The Crucible - Ryder was simply awesome in this movie, I definitley think this was one of her best film roles to date.

Reality Bites - This was just a solidly good 90's film, and Ryder gave a great performance.

What are some of your favorite Winona Ryder films?

G.I. JOE: RETALIATION - First Look at Jinx

The more I see of G.I. Joe: Retaliation the more excited I get that it might not end up being a piece of shit. I've had a very negative outlook on this movie because of how much I hated the first one. I'm excited to see what the trailer has in store for us tomorrow once it's released. It's hard for me to believe that this could end up being a decently awesome movie, but that's what it's looking like.

We have two new images here that give us our first look at the character Jinx in the film played by French actress Elodie Young. The image above even shows her sparing with her mentor Snakeyes, who looks like a badass. Young made a extremely brief appearence in G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra as Jinx, but if you blinked you may have missed it. She will have a much bigger role in this sequel.

The film is being directed by Jon Chu and stars Dwayne Johnson as Roadblock, Channing Tatum as Duke, Ray Park as Snake Eyes, Bruce Willis as Joe Colton, Ray Stevenson as Firefly, Adrianne Palicki as Lady Jaye, and Lee Byung-Hun as Storm Shadow. The film hits theaters June 29, 2012.

What are your thought's on this movie from what you've seen so far?

We recently posted a description of this trailer which you can read here if you want.
