Details on M. Night Shyamalan's SUNDOWNING

Director M. Night Shymalan is working on another film, titled Sundowning. I'm not expecting much from it, but according to The WrapKathryn Hahn and child actor Ed Oxenbould star in the movie.

According to the report Hahn plays "a single mother whose two young children visit their grandparents… and things go very wrong." Oxenbould plays the young son, who is described as being protective of his sister.

As far as the story goes, it's described as "a psychological phenomenon associated with increased confusion and restlessness in patients with some form of dementia. Symptoms also include agitation and mood swings."

This is a low-budget film project. I'm sure there are some people out there who are curious about what he'll do with this movie. Not me, though. I've given up on Shyamalan.

CHEECH & CHONG Are Making a New Movie

Tommy Chong has revealed that he and his longtime comedy partner Cheech Marin are teaming up with director Jay Chandrasekhar for another Cheech & Chong movie! Chandrasekhar is part of the Broken Lizard comedy team and has directed the films Super Troopers and Beerfest. While talking to celebstoner.com, Chong had this to say,

"He's working a script right now for us. We've had some preliminary meetings. It looks really good. It looks really funny. It will be about us going to a festival called the Burning Joint. All sorts of shenanigans happen. It's going to be a lot of fun."

The last movie Cheech & Chong made together was 1983's Still Smokin. There was also 2013's Cheech & Chong's Animated Movie, but the two stars were not actually involved.

Chandrasekhar seems like the perfect guy to bring these two guys back to the big screen. It's been years since I've seen those original comedies, and I think it's time I watch them again because I only have very vague memories of them.

SCARFACE Remake Finds a New Director

It looks like that Scarface remake is still happening, only it's not happening with Harry Potter director David Yates anymore. The movie is set up at Universal Pictures, and they've hired Pablo Larrain to take Yates' place as the director. Larrain directed a movie called No back in 2012 that was an Academy Award nominee for foreign language film.

According to the Variety, the movie will be "a reimagining of the core immigrant story told in both the 1932 and 1983 films. The new film will be set in Los Angeles and explore an immigrant’s rise in the criminal underworld."

They also say that the main character will likely be Mexican. The character Al Pacino played in the 1983 version was Cuban.

Paul Attanasio wrote the current draft of the screenplay. I can't say I'm very excited about this remake. The Pacino version is such a classic, and I don't see how a remake could be any better.

The Trailer for Dwayne Johnson's HERCULES Is Live

The first trailer for Dwayne Johnson's Hercules has been released, and it has some fun visuals. It all leads up to Johnson yelling "I am Hercules!" at the top of his lungs. It's a little cheesy, but in its defense, even Arnold Schwarznegger's Conan had its cheesy moments. In an interview with USA Today Johnson talked about the film, saying,

"The No. 1 goal is to make the definitive version of Hercules. We know we’re going to be under a microscope. Green screen and effects can be fantastic. But when you have real men, real sweat and even real blood, it’s very gratifying. You feel the substance.”

I hope he's right. I have to admit, though, that it's really hard to get excited about a movie directed by Brett Ratner. But I'll give it a shot. The movie also stars Joseph Fiennes, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Rebecca Ferguson, Aksel Hennie, and John Hurt.

Everyone knows the legend of Hercules and his twelve labors. Our story begins after the labors, and after the legend…

Haunted by a sin from his past, Hercules has become a mercenary. Along with five faithful companions, he travels ancient Greece selling his services for gold and using his legendary reputation to intimidate enemies. But when the benevolent ruler of Thrace and his daughter seek Hercules’ help to defeat a savage and terrifying warlord, Hercules finds that in order for good to triumph and justice to prevail… he must again become the hero he once was… he must embrace his own myth… he must be Hercules.

Hercules opens on July 25th.

First Look at Iron Man on the Set of AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

Over the last couple days, we've been seeing a lot of cool photos from the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, mostly featuring Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, and Ultron. Today however, we have our first look at Iron Man on the set rocking a new suit of armor. It's different than the Iron Man 3 suit, so this could be our first look at the Mark XLIII or a later suit.

Surprisingly, I've seen a lot of confusion about this photo of Iron Man on the set of the Avengers sequel, so I'll clear things up just in case you're one of the confused. Robert Downey Jr. has signed on to return for two more Avengers films as Tony Stark/Iron Man, including this one. Also, at the end of Iron Man 3 it did say Tony Stark would be back, so there you go.

I've also included a few more photos from the set with Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, along with a video from Clevver Movies talking about them. Thanks to Getty for the images!

Marvel has released a new character poster for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. This one features Emily VanCamp as Agent 13. I've heard her role in this movie isn't very big, but maybe it will get bigger in future Marvel films. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens. I've also included a new international TV spot for you to watch. The movie opens on April 4th, 2014.

Tom Cruise's new movie Edge of Tomorrow looks like it's going to be an incredibly kick-ass, sci-fi action film. This latest trailer gives us more insight into the story. It also offers up a ton of stunning new footage that is sure to get a lot of you excited about seeing this movie. The film also stars Emily Blunt - who, by the way, looks amazing in this. Here's the synopsis,

The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

The film hits theaters on June 6th.

DAY OF THE DEAD Zombie Cameo Spotted in THE WALKING DEAD

Last week's episode of The Walking Dead featured a cameo by a George R. Romero's Day of the Dead-style zombie. Thanks to STYD we have a couple screenshots of the zombie for you to check out. As you can see, it's not your normal Walking Dead zombie. This is the same design used in Romero's classic 1985 film. I've also given you a comparison photo and included the poster for the movie so you can compare. I completely missed it, so I'm glad we have the internet to point things like this out to us.

FOX has released an official photo of Robin Lord Taylor as Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, in Gotham. This guy has such a creepy look, and he was perfectly cast in the role. This is a description of the character:

"With the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal, Cobblepot is a low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney, and hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor."

Arnold Schwarzenegger recently appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to promote his new film Sabotage. While on the show he participated in a great infomercial skit where he parodies a couple of classic lines of dialogue from the films that made him famous. One of those include his "get to the chopper!" line from Predator. Check out the fun skit they did below.

Schwarzenegger on Aging Terminator in TERMINATOR: GENESIS

Arnold Schwarzenegger has revealed some new details about Alan Taylor's Terminator: Genesis. Some of those details address the issue of his age, explaining that there is an aging Terminator. He also says that the story includes several versions of his T-800, including a young one.

"'Terminator' deals a lot with time travel, so there will be a younger T-800, and then [there is] what that model does later on when it gets reprogrammed, and who gets ahold of him. So it will be all kinds of interesting twists in the movie."

He then goes on to discuss the film's solution to having his robot killing machine age,

"The way that the character is written, it's a machine underneath. It's this metal skeleton. But above that is human flesh. And the Terminator's flesh ages, just like any other human being's flesh. Maybe not as fast. But it definitely ages."

So they wrote themselves out of that corner. I guess it could make sense. I'm sure we'll get a more detailed explanation of it in the movie. I like everything I've heard about the story for this movie so far, it's got a great cast, and I hope that the director can pull off something awesome that the fans of the franchise will love.

Genesis is the first in a stand-alone trilogy, and will also star Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, and J.K. Simmons. The movie is set to be released in theaters on July 1, 2015.

"There's no going back for me."

FOX has released an awesome full trailer for their highly anticipated 24: Live Another Day limited series, which sees Kiefer Sutherland's Jack Ryan trying to save the day…. again. Only this time he's doing it in London. I'm still so happy that 24 is back! This next series looks like it's going to be incredible.

The high-octane saga reunites the Emmy Award-winning team of executive producer Howard Gordon; star and executive producer Kiefer Sutherland; co-creator Robert Cochran; executive producers, Evan Katz, Manny Coto, David Fury, Brian Grazer and director Jon Cassar. It also will retain the real-time, pulse-pounding, fast-paced format with split screens and interweaving storylines. Set and shot in London, the suspenseful event series once again will follow the exploits of heroic agent Jack Bauer.

Four years ago, Jack was a fugitive from justice. Now an exile, he nevertheless is willing to risk his life and freedom to avert yet another global disaster. Tracking Jack are CIA head Steve Harris; CIA agent Kate Morgan, who is both resourceful and ruthless; Jordan Reed, a smart and sophisticated CIA computer tech; and Erik Ritter, a sharp, strong and arrogant field operative. Calling the shots is James Heller, now President of the United States. Heller is flanked by his Chief of Staff Mark Boudreau, who is married to Heller’s daughter — Jack’s former flame, Audrey. Meanwhile, a hardened Chloe O’Brian, Bauer’s CTU confidante, is now working underground with high-profile hacker Adrian Cros.

Guest stars on 24: Live Another Day include Michelle Fairley and Golden Globe Award nominee Stephen Fry. The harrowing day will have Jack attempting to thwart an unthinkable terrorist attack that could change the world forever.
