Here are a couple of fantastic pieces of poster art for the Indiana Jones films Raiders of the Lost Art and The Temple of Doom. They were created by Joshua Budich and are available on his website. I love these movies, and I'm really excited for the prospect of a fifth film, even though I didn't care for the fourth. I still think there are some fun stories to tell with this classic character.

First Photos of Ben Kingsley in the Marvel One Shot ALL HAIL THE KING

We've got our first look at Ben Kingsley in the new Marvel One Shot short film he did for Marvel called All Hail The King. The photos come from EW, which also includes an interview with screenwriter and director of the short Drew Pearce, who talked about the story, saying,

"Imagine a real terrorist organization whose beliefs were long held and religious for thousands of years, and imagine a drunk, British actor coming along and essentially telling the world that he’s the face of your organization, I think they would be right to be quite angry."

So for those of you disappointed that there wasn't a "real" Mandarin in Iron Man 3, you'll be happen to know as previously rumored that Marvel is going to fix that.

Pearce then talks about what made him want to bring back Sir Ben Kingsley's character from Iron Man 3 for the short.

"I had spoken to Sir Ben a lot on set because Trevor was a tricky character that everyone was involved with right from the beginning. And it was always a huge risk. I was so grateful to him when he pulled it off after a year of truly worrying about whether we could land that turn. So, 'The Further Adventures of Trevor' was something we had talked about on set all the time, and when we sat down to talk about what the short would be, it was Stephen [Broussard, executive producer of Iron Man 3] and Kevin [Feige, Marvel Studios president] and myself and Joss Whedon and Jeremy Latcham [executive producer of The Avengers.] So we kicked around a bunch of ideas and there were loads of them that we liked, and it was actually Joss who at a certain point went like, “Or you could do the one that has Sir Ben Kingsley in it because you have access to Sir Ben Kingsley."

The screenwriter then revealed that there were lots of other options for One Shots, but since they had Kingsley, why wouldn't they use him?

"No, no, no, no. There were lots of possibilities from the Iron Man 3 world. Joss that said, 'You got Sir Ben' at which point we all went, 'Hopefully we get Sir Ben' and then I had to go write a script that would mean Sir Ben would commit. We stayed in touch and I sent it to him. I don’t know if he’s ever, and it’s nothing to do with me, but I don’t know if he’s ever been funnier than he is as Trevor. Like, obviously he’s not as funny as Trevor when he’s Gandhi or in Schindler’s List, but what he does with Trevor is incredible."

The short will be be included on the Thor: The Dark World Blu-ray and DVD, which comes out on February 25th! It's 14-minutes long, and it sounds like it will be very entertaining!

The image above is a new photo from X-Men: Days of Future Past, and it gives us our first look at Evan Peters as Quicksilver. It's not really the look I was expecting, but it works. It will be great to actually see the character in action!

The photo also includes Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, and James McAvoy as Professor X. And in case you haven't noticed, Xavier is walking in this particular scene. I don't have any explanation as to how he is doing that… unless it's a dream sequence. Do you have any ideas?

I don't know what it is about these Disney Princesses but damn, artists love taking the characters and transforming them into new and different things. This latest art series reimagines them as different races in the World of Warcraft universe. The were created by Deviant Artist LiberLibelula.

Mark Romanek to Direct Casey Affleck in BOSTON STRANGLER

mark-romanek-to-direct-casey-affleck-in-boston-strangler.jpg

Never Let Me Go director Mark Romanek is in talks to bring to life one of the most famous serial killers in U.S. history… the Boston Strangler. Casey Affleck is already set to star in the film as a detective hell-bent on bringing down the killer.

The film is said to have the same tone as the movies Se7en and Zodiac. The story "follows an ambitious detective who is willing to risk career and life in a race to bring down the most notorious sexual predator of the day, while battling a political cover-up by corrupt politicians and lawyers trying to save their careers. Boston pols were desperate for a conviction; the early murders centered on older women living alone, but when police found a 21-year old victim, the public panicked. Soon, guns and door locks became scarce in Boston and pressure grew to end the hysteria by locking up someone."

Albert DeSalvo was a criminal in Boston who confessed to being the "Boston Strangler," who killed thirteen women. DeSalvo was not imprisoned for these murders though, he was imprisoned for a series of rapes. Over the years his murder confession has been disputed, and debate has raged over which crimes DeSalvo actually committed. There's still belief that more than one killer was involved and that DeSalvo was a pawn in a bigger conspiracy.

There's an incredibly talented team attached to this film production. Romanek is a great director, and I think Affleck is a hell of a talented actor. I also enjoy these kinds of movie, so I'm very much looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!

Dear Almost Human, You're Almost Perfect, but...

dear-almost-human-youre-almost-perfectbut-lets-keep-things-moving.jpg

Dear Almost Human,

It feels weird and somewhat unproductive to write a letter specifically to a show, but I feel that it's the only way to fully address my issue. Let me start things off by saying there are many things about you that are fantastic. The back and forth dynamic between Michael Ealy and Karl Urban has reached a point where it's difficult to say who outshined the other come the end of the episode. The score provided by The Crystal Method has always felt within the time period of the show, and while I'm still not crazy about the call backs to music (minus Elton John, that was badass)  I've come to find them endearing. The innovative ways you find to make the distant future look so real and plausible continue to astound me, and unlike many other shows, I eagerly awaited your return from Winter break. So what could be the issue when I have so many glowing things to say about this fantastic show?

The days of let the series run its course until the numbers kill it television are done, and you guys are driving the final nail in the coffin. When I saw the pilot to this show I was excited for two reasons. One: Karl Urban on tv. The other? In one hour's time you made me empathize and get into the head of a broken cop who lost everything due to a bad judgement call to nail a dangerous organization. That organization was responsible for the loss of his leg, and I want to believe the girlfriend that he had two years prior.  I wanted to see him go after them. I wanted to see him fight back. I wanted Detective John Kennex to get revenge.

So when we are what I would believe halfway through the first season and there has been little mention of the events that drove John back to the force, I'm a little confused. I realize throwaway episodes are a part of any television series, but every episode? Character development is important, I know, and for what it's worth the episodes have been fantastic. But right now it all feels like a lot of flash with no big picture at the end. It's turned several of my friends off of the series, and clearly the numbers are showing they aren't the only ones.

I love this show, but like so many series on network television right now, it suffers from a dying formula in television. At the very least there needs to be an arc to tie events together from the beginning to the end of the season, if not something to tease you every other episode about the overall main story. Kennex joined the force again to catch these guys, and while he's a damn good cop who will do what it takes to get the job done, someone like that doesn't so easily forget the demons that haunted for 2 years like you would have us believe. You fix that, and I believe you can win a lot more people over.

The GEEK8: CAPTAIN AMERICA and 7 Other Movies Coming Soon

$

I realize spring doesn’t technically start for a while. But I separate the movie year into 3 “seasons.”  “Winter/Spring” starts January 1st and runs until the first “Summer” movie. (This year, it’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 on May 2nd.)  Next… the “Summer” movie season starts and runs through August 31st. Finally, the “Fall” season starts September 1st and runs until the end of the year.

Now traditionally, the Winter/Spring movie season isn’t great… Summer movies are outrageously good… and Fall usually starts slow and rallies towards the holidays. But 2014 has a number of movies in the first four months with huge potential. Studios are hoping to repeat recent success stories like Fast Five (released on Apr. 29, 2011), The Lorax (Mar. 2, 2012), The Hunger Games (released on Mar. 23, 2012), Oz: The Great and Powerful (Mar. 8, 2013), and The Croods (Mar. 22, 2012). Obviously, there are billions of dollars to be made… at least in March and April. Here are the 8 upcoming Winter/Spring movies I’m looking forward to the most.

#8 – ROBOCOP – Feb. 12

I wasn’t too excited about the potential for a RoboCop reboot, but take a look at that trailer. Basically, my excitement comes from the trifecta of acting legends in the supporting roles: Samuel L. Jackson, Gary Oldman, and Michael Keaton. In particular, you watch Keaton in the trailer and think, “Where has this guy been???  He’s awesome!” Oldman and Jackson seem to be doing riffs on those characters they’ve often crushed in the past, but I would go on Feb. 12th to see Keaton alone. More Keaton!

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-7.jpg

#7 – MUPPETS: MOST WANTED – Mar. 21

Oh, the first “reboot” wasn’t a masterpiece, I guess. But it was good enough to make me lovingly go back to that time where I thought the Muppets were brilliant on almost every level. If Muppets: Most Wanted is less than the 2011 movie (which I admit is likely), I’ll be disappointed. But if this movie can improve on the first, I’ll be very excited. Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, and Ricky Gervais all look goofy in the trailer, and not necessarily “good goofy.” But it’s a Muppet movie with Tina Fey, Ty Burrell, and Ricky Gervais! That could be amazing.

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-6.jpg

#6 – NOAH – Mar. 28

This movie could – ironically – be an epic mess. And really… logically speaking it probably should be an epic mess. Basically, it’s a story about a guy who builds a giant boat and then herds animals onto it. Yikes. On the other hand… it could also be Darren Aronofsky’s great disaster movie.  The movie where Aronofsky shows Roland Emmerich how it’s done.  And it stars Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Emma Watson, Ray Winstone and Anthony HopkinsNoah could be an epic mess… and it could be the best movie of the year.

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-5.jpg

#5 – JACK RYAN: SHADOW RECRUIT – Jan. 17

Chris Pine, obviously, stars in the one of the greatest reboots of all time. Maybe the greatest reboot of all time. Kenneth Branagh directed, among other things, Thor – a movie that shouldn’t have been good… and yet was great. Kevin Costner is brilliant in nine different movies (challenge that at your own peril – I just counted). Given all that, the question is… why isn’t Jack Ryan higher on this list? Well, I guess it’s because the trailer just looks so darn cerebral. Or maybe pedestrian. Kind of like a Mission: Impossible or Bond movie… without any fun. If Jack Ryan is boring, that’s going to be hard to watch.  Any movie with Pine, Costner, and Keira Knightley… directed by Branagh… should be one of the most exciting movies of the year.

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-4.jpg

#4 – TRANSCENDENCE – Apr. 18

I admit it. I have no idea what this is. I watched the trailers. I studied the trailers. And honestly, I can’t give you much. I know it’s got Johnny Depp, Morgan Freeman, and Paul Bettany (wow!). I know they’re trying to position it in the same club as Inception and Looper (I’m in!). On the other hand, is this going to be “Nolan-lite”? I don’t know. Probably. Is this going to be “weird-bad-Depp” vs “weird-awesome-Depp”? Most likely. But I have hope, dammit. Anything even attempting Inception or Looper is a welcome film experience.

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-3.jpg

#3 – THE LEGO MOVIE – Feb. 7

A truly great “blockbuster” film often is both wildly unique and brings to life some of your childhood fantasies… both at once. I’m thinking The Avengers, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, Toy Story… really every classic animated movie. That’s exactly how I feel when I watch the trailer and clips from The LEGO Movie. On the one hand, it’s so obvious! Of course this movie should have been made ages ago. And of course it looks exactly like it did in my mind every time I pictured a “LEGO” movie. But on the other hand… it’s so much better than I would have imagined. So much more complete than I would have guessed possible. Is that Batman, Wonder Woman, a Ninja Turtle, and Abraham Lincoln??? All in the same movie??? I quote the song that’s been stuck in my head since the first time I heard it in The Lego Movie trailer… everything is awesome.

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-2.jpg

#2 – THE MONUMENTS MEN – Feb. 7

Keep in mind 2 things.  1 – I’m a huge George Clooney fan. Enormous. I’m not sure exactly when that happened, but it did (I think right around 1999).  2 – Two of my favorite movies of all time are Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 13. (Ocean’s 12 never happened.) At one point, I read somewhere that Monuments Men was essentially Ocean’s WWII. Now that sounds like one of the greatest movies in history. Watching the trailer… well… maybe the whole “if you save the art, you save their soul” thing goes too far. But I’m up for an Ocean’s prequel starring Clooney, Matt Damon, Bill Murray, John Goodman, and Cate Blanchett. This could be the giant sleeper hit of the season.

the-geek8-captain-america-and-7-other-movies-coming-soon-1.jpg

#1 – CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER – Apr. 4

Boom. And Marvel has done it again. Another movie season, another moment where I’m looking at the upcoming releases and thinking, “I can not wait for that next Marvel movie.” I’m such a sucker for Captain America.  He should be boring, and yet that first movie was so good. He should be the least interesting Avenger, and yet I just love everything about him. And yes… I’m a sucker for that crap they’re serving up where this movie is supposed to be a “'70s style conspiracy thriller meets superhero movie.” I love it! Where’s the line for Captain America? I’m getting in it.

SHERLOCK Seasons 4 and 5 are in the Planning Stages

Sherlock season 3 is kicking some ass, and I already can't wait to see what is in store for the fourth season! The final episode of the third season is called The Last Vow, and it's set to air on January 12th.

After a screening of that final episode, Moffat said that he didn't see the point in making a Sherlock movie when he could basically develop three feature-length new episodes, which he is planning on doing a fourth time! According to Radio Times, the series showrunner revealed that the scripts for season four are already being planned. Here's what Moffat said,

"Rather excitingly, Mark and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus… and we just started plotting out what we could do in the future."

"And we plotted out the whole of series four and five."

“So we have got plans – but our plans don’t tend to be ‘Let’s blow up the world or cast the most famous person in the world’ they tend to be ‘What exciting twists and turns can we add to this?’ And I think we’ve got some crackers!

"The ideas we had that day, I thought were the best we’ve ever had."

I can't wait to see how season 3 ends, and how season 4 begins! This has been such a brilliant series, and I hope it goes beyond a fourth season.

FX has released some first look photos for a couple new series that the network is developing. The first two come from Guillermo del Toro's vampire series The Strain. The other two come from the small screen adaptation of the Coen Brothers' Fargo, which stars Martin Freeman and Billy Bob Thornton

There's a lot to be excited a for about both of these series, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they turn out.

The Strain:

The tale is a high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Corey Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers, wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

Fargo:

Slated to premiere this spring, "Fargo" will feature an all-new "true crime" story, following a new case and new characters, all entrenched in the trademark humor, murder and "Minnesota nice" that has made the film an enduring classic. As previously announced, Thornton stars as Lorne Malvo, a rootless, manipulative man who meets and forever changes the life of small town insurance salesman Lester Nygaard, played by Freeman. Hanks plays Duluth Police Deputy Gus Grimly, a single dad who must choose between his own personal safety when he comes face-to-face with a killer.

Rounding out the cast of recurring characters will be Bob Odenkirk as Deputy Bill Olson, a Bemidji deputy with seniority over his younger, smarter and more ambitious fellow deputy, Molly Solverson, played by Allison Tolman, who will be a series regular Oliver Platt will play Stavros Milos, the Supermarket King of Minnesota. Kate Walsh will star as Gina Hess, a former stripper and mother of teenaged twin boys. Glenn Howerton will play Don Chumph, an ambitious personal trainer. Joey King will play Gus's daughter, Greta Grimly and Peter Breitmayer will play Lieutenant Schmidt, Gus's superior officer. Tom Musgrave will portray Bo Munk, Lester's boss at the Bo Munk Insurance Shop, and Josh Close will play Ron Nygaard, Lester's younger and more successful brother. Russell Harvard and Adam Goldberg will play members of the Fargo Crime Syndicate, Mr. Wrench and Mr. Numbers, respectively – Mr. Wrench is the muscle. Mr. Numbers is the mouth.

IRON MAN 3 - Plus the #1 Movies from the Past 25 Years

iron-man-3-plus-the-1-movies-from-the-past-25-years.jpg

There is so much written about awards every year, especially the Oscars. But the fact of the matter is… movies are meant to be seen. Movies are meant to make money. Movies are meant to entertain around the world.

All that press on who is going to win Best Picture… and yet not enough is written about what is the biggest movie of the year. The one movie that makes more money around the world than any other. The one movie that sells more tickets than any other.

In 2013, that movie was Iron Man 3.

No matter what happens at the Golden Globes or the Oscars, the most successful movie of the year – when it comes to cash – was Marvel and Disney’s third Iron Man movie. Period. If you look at ticket buying around the world, it was basically seen as a sequel to last years biggest global hit, The Avengers. And it cements Marvel as the next huge brand in global ticket sales.

Take a look at the list of the number one movies – globally – from the past 25 years, and you see some trends.  Some trends that are over, some on a downward slide, and still others that might point to what will be the most successful movies on the coming years:

2013  IRON MAN 3  -  $1.22B

2012  MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS  -  $1.52B

2011  HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2  -  $1.34B

2010  TOY STORY 3  -  $1.06B

2008  THE DARK KNIGHT  -  $1.00B

2007  PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD’S END  -  $963M

2006  PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN’S CHEST  -  $1.07B

2005  HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE  -  $897M

2004  SHREK 2  -  $920M

2003  THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING  -  $1.12B

2002  THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE TWO TOWERS  -  $923M

2001  HARRY POTTER AND THE SORCERER’S STONE  -  $975M

2000  MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2  -  $546M

1996  INDEPENDENCE DAY  -  $817M

1995  DIE HARD: WITH A VENGEANCE  -  $366M

1994  THE LION KING  -  $878M

1993  JURASSIC PARK  -  $984M

1992  ALADDIN  -  $504M

1991  TERMINATOR 2: JUDGMENT DAY  -  $520M

1990  GHOST  -  $506M

1989  INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE  -  $474M

Some thoughts:

Superheroes are enormous.

There are no superhero movies on this list until 2008… and then The Dark Knight arrives. Of the past 6 years, 3 have been topped by superhero movies. In 2014, the hero movie to beat is Amazing Spider-Man 2. Globally, the first Amazing Spider-Man in 2012 was only 7th with $752m, but the sequel seems much more impressive, the global marketing will be enormous, and you would think there is going to be a Marvel “halo” that reaches beyond Avengers and Iron Man and could touch the web-slinger. That said, this year Spider-Man will face off against the third Hunger Games movie (this year’s movie has topped $800m globally) and the final Hobbit movie (this year’s will top $800m).

Warner Bros. needs the DC universe to become its new HARRY POTTER/LORD OF THE RINGS.

In 5 different years since 2001, Warner Bros studios topped the global box office thanks to 2 franchises: Harry Potter and The Lord of the RIngs. Actually, Hobbit has a decent shot to top 2014. But we’re years away from JK Rowling’s new potential franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, and seemingly The Hobbit/Rings films are going to end in 2014. DC then becomes Warner’s main franchise. Looking over the past 10 years, Warners just doesn’t have many other options. The Hangover franchise seems over. You can’t really build too much on Argo or Gravity. Deeper than that, we’re talking about Journey to the Center of the Earth or Clash of the Titans. Now maybe I’m greedy, but Warners… please use Batman vs. Superman to launch at least 2 DC movies a year. Please. You don’t have Bond, Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Star Trek… etc. Get some balls. Where is James Marsden as Plastic Man? Matthew McConaughey as Green Arrow? Dwayne Johnson as Cyborg (I’m spit-balling here)?

Disney is brilliant.

About 4 years ago, Disney CEO Robert Iger announced that they were basically in the brand building business instead of the movie business. No more “small” movies. Only giant blockbusters. The main point: movies don’t exist to just sell tickets… movies exist to sell tickets, toys, video games, TV shows, theme parks and any other thing they can think of. Movies are just part – a key part – of a much larger, brand strategy. This Disneywide mandate has begun to work and is now quickly being copied by the other major studios. Just take a look at the global box office for this year. Out of the top 15 movies of the year, 5 of them (a full 1/3) are Disney movies. The next biggest studio is Warner Bros with 3. Now… look closer. The 5 Disney movies were Iron Man 3, Frozen, Oz: The Great and Powerful, Monsters University, and Thor: The Dark World. Warners had The Hobbit, Gravity, and Man of Steel. For Warners, only Man of Steel can be used to build a franchise. Conversely… ALL 5 Disney movies could spawn multiple sequels – on TV, video games, at theme parks, in theaters, etc. – for years to come.

James Cameron is a one man machine.

Basically, every decade or so James Cameron releases a movie and – wham – it’s the biggest global hit of the year. It’s the biggest global hit of all time. This one man has done it 3 times in the past 25 years, with 3 wildly different movies: Terminator 2, Titanic, and Avatar. Starting in 2016, however, Cameron should be in the hunt for biggest movie of the year for three straight years. Avatar 2, 3, and 4 are slated to arrive in December of 2016, 17, and 18.

2015 is the Year of the Blockbuster.

Whatever has been written about the potential size of the box office for 2015… it’s not enough. There are going to be new Avengers, Star Wars, and Bond movies. In the same year. There’s also going to be a Batman/Superman movie. There’s going to be new Jurassic Park, Terminator, and Mission: Impossible movies. There’s even going to be new Fast & Furious, Despicable Me, Hunger Games, and Bourne movies. Plus Ant-Man. Even if some of these movies end up getting pushed into 2016… 2015 is going to be the single biggest year in the history of motion pictures. No doubt. A Geektopia. A Geekpocalypse. The Geekmageddon.

Make no mistake… in 2015 the Geek Shall Inherit the Earth.

If years of sci fi consumption has taught me anything, it's that all alien species, no matter how intelligent, bad ass, or invincible they look, don't have s*** on the human race. At the very worst they enslave us for a short period of time, only for one of us to rain down the fire of human ingenuity to collapse their well thought out plans. It is for this reason likely that Tom Scoot of the Interstellar Safety Council created this video warning other races and life forms of the danger of tussling with the human race. Speaking of which, do we as a species have a victory chant? We need to get a victory chant.

Lone Survivor is my first must watch film of 2014! It comes out this Friday, and in anticipation of its release Universal Pictures has released three must watch behind the scenes featurette's for the film! The are called Gearing Up, Mapping it Out, and Weapons Training.

The videos give us a look at the cast's advanced training and gives us details on the "special weapons and military equipment" that were used in the film. It also features interviews from writer and director Peter Berg and Marcus Luttrell, along with the cast and crew.

I've also included an infographic that highlights the strength of the Navy SEALs.

This latest photo from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy sitting at her Oscorp Industries desk and looking beautifully suspicious. The photo was released through the Amazing Spider Fans fan site.

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The movie is set to be released on May 2nd, 2014!

Bruce Willis is looking to possibly join an indie action-thriller film called Captive, which was originally being developed with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He's no longer attached to the project though.

The film will tell the story of an "American real estate magnate living in Brazil who is kidnapped and held for ransom at a prison cell hidden in a Sao Paolo landfill while a detective specializing in ransom cases tries to find him."

The movie will be directed by Simon Brand (Unknown) and is scheduled to start shooting in March. The next movie we will see Willis in will be Sin City: A Dame to Kill For

Woody Allen and John Turturro have a great looking movie coming out called Fading Gigolo. In the film Allen plays a "bookseller-turned-pimp to Turturro's middle-aged neophyte hustler."

The comedy was written and directed by Turturro, and Allen just happens to star along side him in it. The movie has been billed as Turturro's own "affecting and surprisingly romantic vision of New York City." The movie looks like it will be extremely entertaining.

The film is set to open on April 18th!

HBO has announced that the fourth season of Game of Thrones is set to premiere on April 6th! The first trailer for the epic fantasy series will actually air this Sunday at 8:58 p.m. ET right before True Detective starts. But you can expect it to be released online sooner, so stay tuned for that!

HBO also said it will air Damon Lindelof's fantasy drama The Leftovers in the summer. That series is based on the novel by Tom Perrotta, and Justin Theroux leads the ensemble cast. The pilot for the series was directed by Peter Berg, and to read more about the series click here!

The network then revealed that the fifth season of Boardwalk Empire will be its last. It seemed like that show was going to come to an end soon. It's been such a great series, and I'm looking forward to seeing how they end it and seeing what happens to the characters. Creator Terence Winter had this to say in a statement,

We’re thrilled to get the go-ahead for a fifth season of Boardwalk Empire. After much discussion with my creative team and HBO, we’ve decided to wrap up the series after such a great run and look forward to bringing it to a powerful and exciting conclusion.

HBO is always producing good quality shows, and I'm very excited to see the next chapters of Game of Thrones and Boardwalk Empire, and the start of The Leftovers.
