In the Colartibles we spotlight Sideshow’s new Diablo 3 statue and a wonderful Bruce Timm style black and white statue of Harley Quinn. Mesmerizing Trailer For MR. NOBODY Starring Jared Leto

It may be the fact that I'm just coming off of watching Requiem For  A Dream  on Netflix, but there is something fantastic about the acting of Jared Leto. 4 years ago, Jaco Van Dormael 's Mr. Nobody   premiered at the Toronto film festival and is just now getting a theatrical release in the United States. From the trailer I've seen I can't believe it hasn't come to theaters sooner. If it did, I doubt Leto would have had time for any 30 Seconds To Mars shows with all the acting roles he'd get thrown at him! Here's a brief synopsis of the film, via First Showing:

Jared Leto stars in the film as a 118-year old man in the year 2092, who finds himself the last mortal amongst a human race that has become immortal. On his deathbed, the man decides to look at three possible paths his life may have taken.

2-Minute Racing Clip from Ron Howard's RUSH

Universal Pictures has released a new two-minute clip from Ron Howard's 1970s formula one racing film, Rush. It features two minutes of racing from the film, and centers on Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) and his first race after his almost fatal accident.

I think Rush is going to be an exciting and great movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing it! The movie also stars Chris Hemsworth and Olivia Wilde, and it opens up in theaters on September 20th, 2013.

RUSH is an upcoming biographical action-drama film directed by two-time Oscar winner Ron Howard (A Beautiful Mind, Frost/Nixon), who teams once again with fellow two-time Oscar nominee, writer Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen), about the 1976 Formula One season and the rivalry between drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda.

The film stars Chris Hemsworth (The Avengers) as the charismatic Englishman James Hunt and Daniel Brühl (Inglourious Basterds) as the disciplined Austrian perfectionist Niki Lauda, whose clashes on the Grand Prix racetrack epitomized the contrast between these two extraordinary characters, a distinction reflected in their private lives. Olivia Wilde (TRON: Legacy) and Alexandra Maria Lara (The Reader) also star in the film.

Universal Pictures' Dracula Movie Has a New Title

Universal Pictures has announced a new title for their upcoming Dracula movie. It will be called Dracula Untold. It was previously called Dracula: Year Zero, and it stars Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper, Zach McGowan, Samantha Barks, Thor Kristjansson, and Art Parkinson. The film is being directed by Gary Shore (Wolverine Vs. The Hand), and it's currently in production in Belfast.

There's not much known about the story other than it is "a mix of mythology and true history as it follows the story of Prince Vlad, the inspiration for the Dracula character popularized by the Bram Stoker novel." In a previous interview Evans talked about the movie, saying,

"[Don't think] of the Dracula that Bram Stoker created. The Dracula that I'm going to be portraying is the origin of Dracula. It's about the man that became Dracula. Don't be too quick to think he's a bad guy. I'm just going to say that."

Before Shore came on board, Alex Proyas was going to direct the movie, and when he was talking about the story he said that it will...

"put the whole legend on its head in every conceivable way and comes out with something that is both a kind of an ode to Bram Stoker’s original Dracula, in that it’s kind of a prequel to that, but it also redefines the character to such an extent that I found it quite exciting, so that is very much a kind of reinvention of that character and it’s why I got excited about it.
It's Prince Vlad of Transylvania in the 14th century, and to save his kingdom and his family he takes his first step into darkness, It's his evolution into the monster that Dracula became."

Dracula Untold hits theaters October 3rd, 2014.

JK Rowling Writing Film Based on Harry Potter Universe

J.K. Rowling has struck a deal with Warner Brothers to do more films based on the Harry Potter series! The first film, which Rowling herself is writing the screenplay for, will be based on her book Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them . The film will not feature Harry Potter or any of the primary leads but will instead feature fictitious author Newt Scamander. In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Rowling said that although it's her first screenplay, she felt she was the only one who could do it.

"the idea of seeing Newt Scamander, the supposed author of ‘Fantastic Beasts,’ realized by another writer was difficult."

In addition to the film being free of one Harry Potter, it will also start out in the United States!

“The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, 70 years before Harry’s gets underway.

Another part of the deal is that Warner Bros will distribute a made for TV version of her latest book, The Casual Vacancy, which was met with lackluster reviews. Are you excited for another film in the Harry Potter universe? Or will it just not be the same without "the boy who lived"?

Mark Wahlberg and Rupert Wyatt to Remake THE GAMBLER

$

Director Rupert Wyatt (Rise of the Planet of the Apes) and actor Mark Wahlberg are in talks with Paramount Pictures to remake The Gambler. Todd Phillips and Leonardo DiCaprio were originally attached to the project, but they ended up dropping out because it was taking too long to get into production.

The original movie was released in 1974, and the story follows Alex Freed, a literature professor at UCLA who has gambling problem. When he has lost all his money, he borrows from his girlfriend, then his mother, and finally borrows some from some gangsters which isn't good for him. Despite of all this he cannot stop gambling.

Martin Scorsese was also attached to direct the movie at the very beginning, with a script written by William Monahan (The Departed). They are still going to work off of that script.

Wyatt is a solid director, hopefully he and Wahlberg can pull this off and deliver a great movie.

Medieval Batman Scalemaille Armor

Are you looking for a badass suit of Batman armor to wear for Halloween? If you are, then Creations by Christopher has got you covered... if you have $9,500 to spend! The armor was actually made for a web-series called Legends: The Dark Knight. Here are the specs:

This scalemaille armor is handmade and takes approximately 350 hours to complete. The suit contains nearly 27,000 stainless steel rings, 3,000 small anodized aluminum scales, 4,500 anodized aluminum large scales and has an approximate weight of 60 pounds.

It's crazy that people use to wear these things for real to fight. They are freakin' heavy! I would think a lot of these guys would just lay down and die. Not Batman, of course! After all, he's Batman.

CHRONICLE Writer to Make WONDER WOMAN Pitch to Warner Bros.

Chronicle screenwriter Max Landis recently took part in a Reddit AMA where he answered questions from fans about some of his upcoming projects. During the session he was asked what superhero movie he would like to write, and this was his response,

"Either a version of Green Lantern that played like ET meets Stand By Me using the goth/punk seen and Kyle Raynor, or Wonder-Woman, using a pitch that I intend to make to WB."

Now just because Landis is making a pitch to the studio doesn't mean that he will end up writing or directing the film. We do know that the WB is eventually going to make the movie, and they are currently taking pitches for it. I would love to hear what his pitch is. His Green Lantern idea seems pretty interesting, though.

Over the years both Joss Whedon and Joel Silver tried to get a feature film version of Wonder Woman off the ground, but for one reason or another the movies never made it into production.

He was also asked what one comic book story he would like to bring to the big screen, and he said Batman's The Long Halloween, which would really be amazing. I doubt it will ever happen though. Maybe we'll get the animated version.

Do you think Landis will be the guy to finally get Wonder Woman to the big screen?

VALIANT HEARTS and CHILD OF LIGHT - Ubi's New IP's Steal the Show

While most people (including me, mind you) were buzzing when Ubisoft announced Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD for consoles, they also debuted two new IPs, titled Valiant Hearts and Child of Light, respectively. Both of these unique games use the   Ubi Art Framework, the engine responsible for Rayman's lush visuals, and provide a much needed alternative to Ubisoft's Assassin and Watchdogs-themed game slate.

Valiant Hearts is a puzzle and adventure game hybrid that takes place during World War I and is based on real letters from that time period. It spins a tale of 5 people, each unique in ability and appearance, but somehow all connected. In the center of it all is a rather adorable canine ally who will guide you through the world and help with puzzles as well. The game features completely hand drawn art by Paul Tumelaire and has a wonderful style and aesthetic to it. This game is best described by seeing it in action, and while there isn't any gameplay featured in the trailer, it will at least give you an idea of what the game is going for.

Child of Light on the other hand is an exploratory RPG with bits of platforming and turn based combat, which is an interesting mix to be sure. The game follows a young girl named Aurora and her sidekick (which you can take co-op control of) Igniculus. As you can see in the trailer, the visuals are just breathtaking, and the game itself promotes exploration as you can fly at will throughout the world. Combat is handled in a turn-based manner, and as someone who loves turn based combat (when its handled well, that is) their spin on it seems interesting, and could allow for some unique strategic possibilities. Make sure to check out the screens and trailer below, and if you would like a more in depth preview, make sure to check out RPS's nice rundown of their time with it.

Official Photo of Stallone and De Niro in GRUDGE MATCH

Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone will beat the hell out of each other in an upcoming boxing comedy called Grudge Match. This is our first official look at the film featuring the two characters ready to step into the ring.

What's so awesome about this is that both actors have played boxers in previous classic films such as Rocky and Raging Bull. I can't wait to see them fight!

In the film, De Niro and Stallone play retired fighters who decide to step into the ring one last time to settle an old score. Stallone plays a character named Henry 'Razor' Sharp, "who retired after winning his last fight against Billy 'The Kid' McGuigan (De Niro), a passionate pugilist who never recovered after losing his belt to Razor and being denied a rematch. Now an out-of-shape restaurant owner, The Kid longs to be back in the spotlight and jumps at the chance to take another shot at Razor."

The film also stars Kim Basinger and Alan Arkin, who plays a character named "Lightning" Louis Epstein. He's "Razor's former trainer who despite a medical condition, agrees to resume his post after Razor rescues him from a nursing home. Razor takes the rematch to pay Lightning's medical bills, but questions his decision when an old flame (Basinger) comes back into his life. Comedian Kevin Hart will co-star as the fight promoter."

The movie is being directed by Peter Segal from a script written by Entourage creator Doug Ellin. The director also revealed that they found some footage of Stallone training for Rocky and De Niro training for Raging Bull, and they ended up putting parts of both in the movie.

Neill Blomkamp's Elysium didn't end up getting as much love from moviegoers as anticipated. I thought it was an entertaining movie, but it wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be. Regardless of the script and story issues, the special effects in the film were incredible, and thanks to Wired, we have a really cool behind the scenes look at how Image Engine created the effects for the film. I love seeing how these artists pull off this movie magic.

Is Hugh Jackman Hanging Up His Wolverine Claws after DAYS OF FUTURE PAST?

$

In a recent interview with MTVHugh Jackman says that X-Men: Days of Future Past is going to be mind-blowing, but he also says that it might be the last time that he plays the iconic character Wolverine. It looks like the actor is actually considering hanging up his claws. Here's what he said in the interview,

"It may be the last. By the way, it didn't hit me until three weeks before the end (of shooting 'X-Men: Days of Future Past), because we promoted 'The Wolverine' and I came back on set with three weeks to go, and that's when I went, 'Well, who knows? Maybe there's no more Wolverine. Maybe this is it. Who knows? Maybe. So I really made the most of those last few weeks. I enjoyed every time I put the claws on. I nicked everything off the set, so Halloween, come to me and I'll hook you up. I keep saying it's like two movies in one, but with the size of it it's really three in one. It really is going to blow people away because of the story."

We know that Jackman won't play Wolverine forever, but do you think that Days of Future Past will be the last time we see him in the role? If so, who do you think should replace him in any future films?
