If you're a fan of the Dead Space video game franchise, then I think you're going to love this live-action short film called Dead Space: Chase to Death. It's pretty damn impressive! The short was directed by Eric Z Zaragoza, and you're sure to enjoy what he's created here. The costume looks amazing, and the production value is top notch stuff. Here's a note from the director...

I'm a fan of Science Fiction, Filmmaking, and Video games, so I clashed it all together in one video, DEAD SPACE: Chase to Death. I hope that I will be able to continue making live action video game trailers. It's so much fun. I hope you enjoy it, especially the creators of Dead Space. This is a well made short, and I know it's going to entertain you!

Chris Weir is such a huge Batman fan that when he bought himself a house it had to have a basement big enough to build his own Bat Cave. He spent over two years and $150,000 on his dream cave, which also includes a place to keep his hundred thousand dollars worth of Batman memorabilia that he owns. He even went as far as to install a replica of the William Shakespeare bust seen in Wayne Manor, which activates a hidden door that leads to the Bat Cave. 

The Bat Cave includes a home theater that features a 100-inch TV screen with rows of cinema seats for guests, table football, and even a functioning bar. So what did his wife have to say about all this? Weir said,

She was a little apprehensive at first, but then she came around and said as long as I could pay the mortgage, I could do it.

If you're looking forward to seeing Fast and Furious 6, you're going to want to watch this new featurette for the film. Not only does it feature the cast and crew talking about the movie's plot and characters, but it's also loaded with some tense new footage that I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy seeing.  

The Justin Lin-directed film also stars Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Elsa Pataky, and Luke Evans. The movie hits theaters on May 24th. Check out the new featurette!

Since Dom (Diesel) and Brian's (Walker) Rio heist toppled a kingpin's empire and left their crew with$100 million, our heroes have scattered across the globe. But their inability to return home and living forever on the lam have left their lives incomplete.

Meanwhile, Hobbs (Johnson) has been tracking an organization of lethally skilled mercenary drivers across 12 countries, whose mastermind (Evans) is aided by a ruthless second-in-command revealed to be the love Dom thought was dead, Letty (Rodriguez). The only way to stop the criminal outfit is to outmatch them at street level, so Hobbs asks Dom to assemble his elite team in London. Payment? Full pardons for all of them so they can return home and make their families whole again.

Here's a gruesome piece of Star Wars propaganda poster art created by DeviantArtist Stanivuk called "They Die for You". As you can see, it features a Stormtrooper who has been blasted in the face. This really isn't the greatest marketing campaign if the Empire is trying to recruit people! 

For some reason, a lot of fans are interested in Marvel exploring Iron Man's "Demon in a Bottle" comic book storyline. Favreau kind of touched on the subject in Iron Man 2, but Marvel wasn't interested in revisiting Tony Stark's hard drinking issues in the third movie. In a recent interview with Comic Book Movie, Iron Man 3 director Shane Black was asked what Iron Man storyline the studio axed, and this is what he had to say,

The drinking. Even if you look at the websites of the mommy bloggers they say, you know, 'Watch out, mom's! Tony drinks in this movie!' It's amazing. There's one or two scenes in this movie where he picks up a drink and it'll be in those blogs...

I think we were just told by the studio that we should probably paint Tony Stark as being kind of an industrialist and a crazy guy, or even a bad guy at some points, but the Demon in a Bottle stuff of him being an alcoholic wouldn't really fly. I don't blame that.

Stark's alcoholism is too dark for the Marvel and Disney movie brand. It makes sense, and I get it. After all, Marvel wants these moms to take their kids to the movies. You can still make an entertaining comic book movie without a drunk as the main character. You'll see for yourself when you see Iron Man 3, in my opinion it's the best out of the three Iron Man films.

What do you think about Marvel not wanting to touch on Stark's alcohol issues? 

Actress Ophelia Lovibond has been cast in a supporting role in James Gunn's highly anticipated Marvel space adventure Guardians of the Galaxy. According to THR, she will play an "aide to a near-immortal being called The Collector, who gathers artifacts and beings in the hopes of saving them from a foretold galactic annihilation." This is the first time I've heard that The Collector would be a part of the movie. We previously heard The Controller was also going to be a villain. 

Lovibond joins Chris Pratt as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, Dave Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, Michael Rooker as Yondu, and Zoe Saldana as Gamora. They also still need to cast Groot and Rocket Raccoon. I'm not that familiar with Lovibond, but she's had parts in films such as Mr. Popper’s Penguins and No Strings Attached.

The movie is scheduled to start shooting in June, and it's set to be released on August 1st, 2014. For those of you not familiar with The Collector here's some info from Marvel:

Like all the Elders of the Universe, the origin of the Collector is lost in antiquity. What is known is that he is one of the oldest living beings in the universe, having been among the first of the universe's races to become sentient in the wake of the Big Bang. Virtually immortal, the Collector spent the first millennia of his existence with his wife and daughter on the tranquil world he chose as his home base. When their daughter had grown to maturity and left them, the Collector's wife died of mysterious causes. The Collector was unprepared for her demise: he had thought her as immortal as well. In meditation, he realized that an important factor in an Elder's immortality is the will to live, and his wife had simply lost hers.

Determined not to succumb to his wife's malady, the Collector meditated upon what he might do to give his life meaning. In a vision, he foresaw that beings of great power would arise one day determined to destroy all life in the universe. To prevent this from happening, he decided to devote his life to collecting living beings and artifacts from throughout the known universe, and placing them in safekeeping. As a fail safe if what he foresaw came to pass, he could repopulate the universe and bequeath to them the knowledge and culture of the past.

Building himself a large starship, the Collector set forth, stopping at every inhabited world he found to acquire a sample of their finest achievements as well as living representatives of the world's life-forms. In a matter of years, his ship was completely filled, and the Collector was forced to suspend his mission in order to build expanded facilities for his permanent collection. With the aid of robo-mechanics acquired from the planet Cron, the Collector converted several uninhabited planets into giant museums, and transferred his collection there. Every time his ship's hold was filled, he would return to the museum-worlds to deposit his recent acquisitions. At present, the Collector has filled ten museum-worlds with artifacts from a hundred thousand planets.

Here's a new film clip and a few new photos from DC Entertainment's latest animated comic book adventure Superman: Unbound. The clip takes place very early on in the movie, and it features Molly Quinn (Castle) as Supergirl saving Lois Lane (Stana Katic) from a group that has kidnapped her. I'm not sure how well this movie is going to received by fans. I liked aspects of it but didn't like others. All-in-all I thought it was entertaining, but I'll never watch it again.

The movie is partially based on the Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's 2008 Action Comics storyline "Brainiac." Also starring is the film is Matt Bomer (White Collar) as the voice of Clark Kent/Superman, and John Noble (Fringe) as Brainiac.

Superman: Unbound finds the horrific force responsible for the destruction of Krypton – Brainiac  descending upon Earth. Brainiac has crossed the universe, collecting cities from interesting planets – Kandor, included – and now the all-knowing, ever-evolving android has his sights fixed on Metropolis. Superman must summon all of his physical and intellectual resources to protect his city, the love of his life, and his newly-arrived cousin, Supergirl.

The movie will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, VOD, and digital download on May 7th, 2013. 

Game of Thrones fans will appreciate what Carrilioneur Lyle Anderson did at the University of Wisconsin Madison  recently. Without the use of computers, Anderson played the entire Game of Thrones theme much to the delight of the campus. Anderson, who has served on the campus for 30 years, has drawn some comparisons to Lord Commander Mormont from the show, although I don't see the resemblance. Watch the video below.

Don Cheadle kicks some major ass as Rhodey a.k.a. The Iron Patriot in Shane Black's Iron Man 3. I would love it if he showed up in other Marvel movies other than Iron Man! In a recent interview with Collider, the actor reveals that there actually might be a chance of that! Here's what he said when he was asked about The Avengers 2,

...I know that [there are] conversations that have been happening, so we’ll see what happens.  If that’s able to happen and it makes sense for the story, I’m sure it’ll happen, and if not it’s fine.  It has to work within the world and sort of the mythology of the whole Marvel universe.

As for Captain America: The Winter Solider, he mentions that he might pop up,

I think I’m gonna go to the set, so maybe if I bring the suit in my trunk I’ll just walk on.

It would be really cool to see Rhodey get to interact with other Marvel characters. I've got to admit, it would be freakin' awesome to see Iron Patriot and Captain America fighting side-by-side!

How would you feel about seeing Rhodey/Iron Patriot showing up in either of these Marvel sequels? 

The latest Man of Steel trailer has been mashed together with footage from the 1990s Superman: The Animated Series, and it turned out fantastic! It's been a long time since I've seen the Superman animated series; I'm more of a Batman: The Animated Series guy. I really enjoyed seeing these two different Superman worlds combined. It made me smile, and I like to smile! 

Here's the first domestic trailer for Wong Kar-wai‘s new martial arts epic The Grandmasters. We've seen a few international trailers over the past few months, but this one has some new footage previously not seen.

The fight choreography was done by Yuen Woo-ping, and it's based on martial arts legend Ip Man. It stars Tony Leung, Zhang Ziyi, Chang Chen, Zhao Benshan, and Song Hye Gyo. 

The movie comes out on August 23rd in the U.S., and it looks like there's going to be some jaw dropping fight sequences, which is expected from these kinds of films. 

With martial arts getting more popular in the Thirties, more people seek to learn them via the professionals at Foshan in Southern China. Some of the experienced masters like to challenge their counterparts and undergoing battles. To have their whole concentration, it is their practice to lock up the venues and no one is allowed to leave during battles. No food and no rest before reaching any results. 

Ip Man is a young rich man extremely talented in martial arts, but he chooses to keep a low profile. Yet this doesn't keep him out of these troubles ahead. One day he is trapped in this battleground so he has to use every means in order to get out of there. The masters are amazed by his abilities. Master Kung and his daughter Kung Yi are amongst, and the latter is attracted to this newcomer. 

A high warlord is assassinated by his own guard Yi Xian Tian. All masters in Foshan vow to take Tian down no matter what....

Here's a new poster for Richard Linklater's third chapter in his Before series, Before Midnight, which stars Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. These are terrific films, and if you haven't seen any of them yet, I suggest you check them out!

We saw the film up at Sundance earlier this year. Here's an excerpt from Ben's review of the film: "Before Midnight is a progression of ups and downs, alternating between being soul-crushing and inspiring, and is a terrific conclusion to a wonderful trilogy." Two character posters are out for director Dean Parisot's Red 2. They feature Bruce Willis as Frank Moses and John Malkovich as Marvin Boggs. Stay tuned because the new trailer for the movie is set to premiere online this Friday! Red was an entertaining action flick, and I'm excited to see what happens in the sequel.

The movie also stars Mary-Louise Parker, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox, and Neal McDonough. It comes out on July 19th!

In RED 2, the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world—and stay alive in the process.

James Franco, Kate Hudson and Omar Sy have been cast to star in a new film called Good People. The film is based on Marcus Sakey's novel of the same name, and the story is a contemporary thriller that "centers on an American couple living in London who fall into severe debt renovating her family’s home. When the tenant in their downstairs apartment passes away and leaves 200,000 pounds in cash, they take it, and that’s when very bad things start happening to good people." With a solid cast and intense story like this, Good People should end up being a decent film.

The movie is being produced by Millennium Films and Tobey Maguire, and the script written by Kelly Masterson, Paul Grellong, and Christina Hodson. Here's the description from the book:

A family, and the security to enjoy it: that’s all Tom and Anna Reed ever wanted. But years of infertility treatments, including four failed attempts at in vitro fertilization, have left them with neither. The emotional and financial costs are straining their marriage and endangering their dreams.

Iron Man 3 opens up in theaters soon, and I can't wait for you to see it! You guys are going to be so surprised by what's in store for you! I can guarantee you're not expecting what you're going to get, and I think you're going to love it! In the mean time, here's a new featurette that focuses on the Extremis technology, which as you know, plays a huge part in the film's story. I've also included eleven new images! The movie is set to be released on May 3rd!

In the aftermath of Marvel’s "Thor" and "Marvel’s The Avengers," Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos...but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

The film also stars Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Idris Elba, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Kat Dennings, Ray Stevenson, Zachary Levi, Tadanobu Asano, Jaimie Alexander, and Rene Russo. It comes out on November 8th, and I'm so ready for it!

The more I see from this game, the more I look forward to it. While you will be able to switch between all four turtles at any time (provided you are not playing co op with someone), this trailer focuses on fan fave Michelangelo. I tend to be a Donatello or Raphael guy, but so far Mikey looks like a blast to play, the Eddy Gordo of the turtles if you will. Fast and bouncing all over the place, he seems to have a good deal of moves in his arsenal. I'm interested in seeing how many more combos and attacks you'll be able to add throughout the game, just so that the combat doesn't get stale. Peep the trailer below and let us know what you think.

21 Jump Street directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller are coming back to helm the sequel to the action comedy. Channing Tatum, Jonah Hill, and Ice Cube will be back to reprise their roles. 

In a recent interview with Collider the producer, Neal Moritz, said that the sequel would take the young looking undercover officers to college. He didn't reveal which college they would be attending, but he teased it by saying...

It leads off where we ended the last film and our guys are going to college.  Now, I can’t tell you more than that because there’s some fun to be had in what college they’re going to and what’s going to happen.  It really just starts there.

As for where the story of the film is heading he reveals that the two main characters are now "married"...

The relationship developed quite a bit in the first movie and now we’re kind of in the marriage phase between the two guys.  Now they’re actual partners, so they’re married – what happens once marriage starts?  In certain ways, it’s kind of like the Seven Year Itch of police buddy comedies.  What worked so well about the first one was – it was funny, yes, there was good action, yes – but really what worked more than anything was that there was great heart.  That’s the thing we’ve been working really hard on, just try and make sure that the heart of the first one is there for the second one.

It sounds like an interesting concept that has a lot of comedic potential. Hill is currently working on a second draft of the script with Michael Bacall. I thought the first film was great, and I imagine the sequel will end up being just as funny. Moritz goes on to talk about the cast saying, 

I think there’s going to be a lot of people back from the previous film but we’re going to add quite a few people.  It’s been nice, people like the movie so much that there’s been a number of people who have come forward and said, ‘I’d like to be in that movie’ or ‘I’d like to do a cameo in that movie’ or something like that.

The movie will start shooting late September, early October, and they'll release it in theaters in the summer of 2014.

Japan got themselves a new one minute trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness, and it's got a few bits of fresh new footage for you to check out! We even get a glimpse of some Klingons (like in the screenshot above). I believe that is Uhura walking toward them. I've also included another promo video narrated by the villain John Harrison, only this time he's dissecting Spock.

Here's the newest trailer for Sofia Coppola's true life crime drama, The Bling Ring, which tells the story of a group of young people who went on a celebrity home robbery spree up in the Hollywood Hills. 

The movie stars Emma Watson, Leslie Mann, Taissa Farmiga, Claire Julien, Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, Georgia Rock, and Gavin Rossdale. Coppola is a solid filmmaker, and this looks like a movie that will easily connect with a young audience. 

In the fame-obsessed world of Los Angeles, a group of teenagers take us on a thrilling and disturbing crime-spree in the Hollywood hills. Based on true events, the group, who were fixated on the glamorous life, tracked their celebrity targets online, and stole more than 3 million in luxury goods from their homes. Their victims included Paris Hilton, Orlando Bloom, and Rachel Bilson, and the gang became known in the media as "The Bling Ring."

In "The Bling Ring," Oscar-winning filmmaker Sofia Coppola takes us inside the world of these teens, where their youthful naivete and excitement is amplified by today's culture of celebrity and luxury brand obsession. The members of the Bling Ring introduce us to temptations that any teenager would find hard to resist. And what starts out as youthful fun spins out of control, revealing a sobering view of our modern culture.
