Now that we officially are in a post "Harlem Shake" appreciation world it's time we move on to the latest Youtube fad. Most of you are already aware of the current trend of setting weird sounds to the screaming portion of Taylor Swift's "I Knew You Were Trouble", but only one has taken things as far as to implement the master of acting, Nicolas Cage, from The Wicker Man. Grammy worthy? Undoubtedly.

Hysterically Awesome Trailer for Japan's KID'S POLICE

While America is trying to keep guns out of the hands of kids, Japan is letting them go crazy with them! Here's the trailer for a great looking new action comedy from Japan called Kid's Police. The movie is based on a TV series and it looks very entertaining and hysterically fun.

The story "revolves around the central premise of recreating 1970s style, hard boiled Japanese cop thrillers with the goofy twist of having little kids play all the key roles done up in period costume. The big hair, the well tailored suits, the big ass shotguns ... these kids handle them all."

The movie looks extremely well made, and it looks like it will be loaded with some great action. On top of that the kids look great in their roles, and it's awesome watching them being so damn serious. You'll see in the trailer that they're very charismatic.

There's no word on when we'll actually get to see this movie, but I'm looking forward to it! Check out the trailer!

Awesome Fan-Made Poster Art for THE WOLVERINE

Yesterday we brought you a great piece of fan made Man of Steel poster art set by Doaly. Here's another illustration from the artist that he made for James Mangold's The Wolverine. Here's what the artist had to say about the piece,

An alternative look at The Wolverine movie poster which is due to release this summer.

I wanted the poster to tie into the Japanese theme/location of the story without it being too cliché and it has been a while since i’ve produced a digital painting so i was eager to give the piece a natural treatment.

But I couldn’t choose between the colour or black and white version, which do you prefer?

I personally like the black and white version. The trailer is expected to be released for the film early this month so stay tuned for that awesomeness!

Halle Berry 90% Sure That She Will Play Storm Once Again!

As most of you already know Bryan Singer is coming back to direct another X-Men film. Not only is he coming back to the franchise, but a lot of our favorite characters from the original films and from X-Men: First Class will coming together to make X-Men: Days of Future Past. Up until this point I have been super excited about all of the actors that are willing to reprise their roles for this film, then the inevitable happened. That is when all of the wind left my sails. Let me explain and then we will get into my feelings.

Now it looks like Halle Berry will “Most likely” be returning as Storm in the upcoming film. Here is what Shadow and Act had to say when they talked to her about it.

"She did confirm to me that she would be returning in the role. Most likely. Practically 90% sure. And she nodded a lot too. I can't say, and neither could she say that it's definitely a done deal, and that the contracts have all been signed, with all the "i"s dotted and the "t"s crossed.

They added that there are "a few details that are still being negotiated which she couldn't get into. But since she did tell me that the film starts shooting in April, it's highly unlikely that talks are going to suddenly and horribly fall apart at this point, and the producers have to scramble to find a replacement at the very last minute."

From the sound of it, she will be back and that is pretty awesome for her. As for me, I think I would rather have a kid pelt me with candy for the duration of the movie than have her play Storm again. I love the character of Storm, I greatly dislike the choice of Berry playing that role. Before you start flying off the handle, I do have my reasons. First, I get stressed out by the different accents that she uses. Does she know that she is changing the way that she is speaking? If not, does she have multiple personality disorder? Second, I just don’t think that she has the warrior look that Storm has in the comics. Storm is beautiful but tough. You can see it in the way that she holds herself. Don’t get me wrong, Berry is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, but she lacks the toughness that fans of the comic expect. I would like to see someone like Danai Gurira (Michonne from The Walking Dead) play Storm. If you are a fan of the show then you know that Danai pulls off major kick-assery and does so with an air of dignity. Something that I don’t think HB can pull off.

Oh well, I could go on forever about how I have always hated this casting, but what’s done is done. Feel free to rip into me if you feel that I am wrong, or back me up if you agree. Either way, I am still going to see this film and hope that she will prove me wrong. Until next time…

Billy Out!

R2-D2 and Yoda Socks

Apparently geek socks are a thing now. We recently showed you some cool Star Trek Spock socks, and today we bring you some Star Wars R2-D2 and Yoda socks. How many Star Wars geeks do you think will be wearing a pair of these while waiting in line for a week to see Star Wars: Episode VII? I'll admit, I might not be wearing the socks, but I'll be in line to see the first screening of the movie for as long as I have to.

You can grab yourself a pair of these over at SuperHeroStuff if you want. They'll cost you $9.

The Star Wars Yoda and R2D2 Socks 2-Pack should have been called the 'Scholars of Star Wars Socks'. Honestly, Yoda is one of the strongest Jedi ever and I'm pretty sure that all of those beeps and boops from R2-D2 translate into some kind of mix of Dr. House from the TV show and Frederick Nietzsche! The Star Wars Yoda and R2D2 Socks 2-Pack is a set of two different pairs of socks; one featuring the green man from Dagobah and one featuring the metal prophet! The socks are made out 78% polyester, 20% nylon, and 2% spandex and we've been told that you should probably get these socks; thus spoke R2-D2!

Help Kickstart BATMAN DEAD END; A Ten Year Retrospective Doc

Batman Dead End is the fan film by which all other fan films are judged. It is hands down still one of the best fan films that has ever been made. Director Sandy Collora made the film back in 2003 with some of his friends to help kickstart his filmmaking career, and ended up making something pretty legendary. I would actually still love to see him take on a Batman movie. It's kind of ridiculous, I'd like to see him make more movies. He ended up doing a great little sci-fi film called Hunter Prey, and the last I heard he was developing a horror movie called Shallow Water. I'm not sure if that's still the movie he's currently working on though.

Collora has started a Kickstarter campaign to help fund a new documentary on the making of Batman Dead End for its ten year anniversary. It should prove to be very interesting, especially for the fans of the film. I've had the opportunity to meet Collora on a couple of occasions, and he's a really great and talented guy.

So here are the Kickstarter details for Batman Dead End; A Ten Year Retrospective! For those of you that want to help him out with the project click here!

In the winter of 2003, commercial director Sandy Collora and some of his friends, set out to make a little short film, to serve as a demo reel, that would hopefully showcase his talents as a filmmaker. What they wound up actually doing, was making one of the most elaborate, most watched, most talked about, and most controversial short films, ever made... 'Batman Dead End' premiered in July 2003 at the San Diego Comic Con and instantly threw Batman fans into a frenzy about what exactly it was, who made it and most importantly, where they could get their hands on it. This documentary will reveal the true story not only behind the making of film, but chronicle as well, the impact and influence it has had on what has come after it. Hardcore fans of both The Batman and Predator around the world, including Kevin Smith and Alex Ross, cite 'Batman Dead End' as the quintessential representation of those characters on film, and to this day, they remain part of the lexicon and mythos of both franchises. Through never before seen footage, photographs and interviews with the cast and crew, this retrospective will reveal, step by step, what it took to get to the screen and follow a few of the key players through the last ten years, to see how this little, 8 minute short film changed their lives forever.

The film will consist mostly of archived, behind the scenes footage and interviews with the cast and crew. For the most part, we've all stayed in close contact through the years and some have worked with me on projects since 'Batman Dead End', of which there were many. Unfortunately, two very special people who worked on the film, have passed on since then, and not having them included, will be painful to everyone involved, but as we always do, we'll persevere, and get it done. I also would like to interview a few notable celebrities who have publicly expressed their love for the film over the years. I'm sure this will be difficult, but through all my connections in the industry, I'll do my best to get everyone I can into the documentary.

I'd like to make it at least an hour long, but with the conservative goal I have set, this will also be challenging. However, myself and the voluminously talented group of people I have behind me, will do the best we can if we meet our goal. If we are fortunate enough to surpass our goal, I'll have to produce greater numbers of rewards, but I'd like to make it feature length at that point. It's our most sincere intention to give the fans the in depth and comprehensive documentary they expect, and that they so deserve.

Making all the works of art for the rewards will be also quite the undertaking... Especially since I'll be creating them mostly myself, but I've worked on many daunting projects in my career, so I am up to the task. I'm looking forward to it, actually... It will be a lot of work, but it'll also be a lot of fun. My passion not only for the film, but for the subject matter, will inspire me to deliver quality work to my backers, within the given delivery time. If our goal is surpassed, and we wind up with more backers than we expect, your patience and understanding regarding the timing of getting your rewards would be appreciated.

Guy Sings "Mad World" in the Voice of Smeagol

Meet Ijameswalters. A week ago he achieved internet virality through his rendition of the song "I Dreamed A Dream" when he voiced the entire song as the Lord of The Rings character Gollum/Smeagol. This week he released another video of him using the same voice to work through his own take of Gary Jules' rendition of "Mad World". For those of you who are only familiar with the Tears For Fears version you need to get it together and watch Donnie Darko, as this version is only second to the Jules cover. Bonus points for the overdressed guy on piano.

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES Is Coming Back from the Dead

It looks like Seth Grahame-Smith‘s Pride and Prejudice and Zombies is set to come back from the dead and move into development. This novel has been trying to get a big screen adaptation for years. When it first started Natalie Portman was set to star and David O. Russell was going to direct. Since then director Craig Gillespie came and went, and there were several other actresses approached such as Blake Lively and Emma Stone, both of whom turned it down.

It was revealed in a recent press release from the Annapurna-backed Panorama Media, Darko Entertainment, Handsomecharlie Films, and producer Allison Shearmur, that they would start developing the movie again with Portman coming back as a producer on the movie. One of the better parts of this news is that the screenplay Russell wrote will be used for the film production. Russell is a hell of a talented guy, and I'm glad they're using his script.

I enjoyed Timur Bekmambetov's adaptation of Abraham Lincoln: Vamipire Hunter, and I could see this movie being really fun if it gets a solid director and cast. Hopefully this time around they can actually get the production together and moving forward.

Surprise, surprise! Vin Diesel has released another new photo from Riddick, and this time he's kicking some ass! The image came with the following note. "Mercs... GRRRR!"

The movie also stars Karl Urban (Star Trek), Jordi Molla (Bad Boys II), Matt Nable (Killer Elite), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Bokeem Woodbine (Total Recall), Dave Bautista (The Scorpion King 3: Battle for Redemption), Conrad Pla (Immortals), Raoul Trujillo (Apocalypto), Nolan Funk (Aliens in America), and Keri Hilson.

Riddick will be released in theaters on September 6th, 2013, and here's the synopsis:

The infamous Riddick has been left for dead on a sun-scorched planet that appears to be lifeless. Soon, however, he finds himself fighting for survival against alien predators more lethal than any human he's encountered. The only way off is for Riddick to activate an emergency beacon and alert mercenaries who rapidly descend to the planet in search of their bounty.

The first ship to arrive carries a new breed of merc, more lethal and violent, while the second is captained by a man whose pursuit of Riddick is more personal. With time running out and a storm on the horizon that no one could survive, his hunters won't leave the planet without Riddick's head as their trophy.

Sam Raimi Working on EVIL DEAD 4 Script This Summer!

It looks like there's a really good chance that we'll actually end up seeing Evil Dead 4! While doing press for Oz The Great and Powerful, director Sam Raimi was asked if the film was going to happen by Bleeding Cool, and he gave a very surprising response...

I would love to make Evil Dead 4. My brother and I plan to work on the script this summer.

Hell yeah! Now that's what I've been waiting to hear! We've been hearing about the possibility of an Evil Dead 4 for years, but to hear that he's actually going to start working on it is extremely exciting because I'm a huge fan of the Evil Dead films, and I know a lot of you are as well.

I'm looking forward to the remake of the original film that has been made, it looks incredibly insane! Now, if the movie does well, there's a chance we could see two different versions of the same franchise running parallel at the same time, which is also pretty awesome to think about.

I know it's just the script for the film, but a script is the first step to turning it into a movie! I can't wait to see what comes of this!

SINISTER 2 Moving Forward!

I really enjoyed Ethan Hawke's horror film Sinister, and I'm happy to report that we'll be getting a sequel! The first film was co-written by former Ain’t It Cool News writer C. Robert Cargill and director Scott Derrickson. Hawke played a crime novelist who ends up discovering a box of disturbing home movies in his attic of familys being brutally murdered. The family is then plunged into a supernatural nightmare of death. It definitely wasn't the feel good movie of the year.

The first movie was only made for about $3 million dollars, and ended up pulling in over $80 million at the box office, so it had a really good return. What's great about the sequel is that the original creators of the first film are coming back to develop it. Cargill and Derrickson will write the script for the film, but they will most likely bring in another director since Derrickson is going to be busy with the big screen adaptation of the video game Deus-Ex

There's no word on where the story will go, but I'm sure it will end up following the same formula of the first film.(Spoilers ahead).............. A new family will move into the house Ethan Hawke’s family was murdered in, one of the family members watches the box of films, including the footage of Hawke being hacked up into a bloody mess, and then they end up going through the same thing.

I really hope that isn't the case though. I hope they are able to come up with a fresh new idea that gives the story a new horrific twist. We'll eventually find out! Did you like the first movie?

New Poster for the Jackie Robinson Film 42

Here's another new poster for Warner Bros' great looking Jackie Robinson biopic 42. It was directed by Oscar-winning L.A. Confidential screenwriter Brian Helgeland, and it features a great cast of actors that includes Harrison Ford, Chadwick Boseman, Christopher Meloni, Ryan Merriman, Brad Beyer, Judy Tylor, Jon Bernthal, Nicole Beharie, and T.R. Knight

I might not be the biggest baseball fan, but I love the history of the sport, and I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. Here's the synopsis:

Hero is a word we hear often in sports, but heroism is not always about achievements on the field of play. "42" tells the story of two men—the great Jackie Robinson and legendary Brooklyn Dodgers GM Branch Rickey—whose brave stand against prejudice forever changed the world by changing the game of baseball. In 1946, Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) put himself at the forefront of history when he signed Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) to the team, breaking Major League Baseball's infamous color line. But the deal also put both Robinson and Rickey in the firing line of the public, the press and even other players. Facing unabashed racism from every side, Robinson was forced to demonstrate tremendous courage and restraint by not reacting in kind, knowing that any incident could destroy his and Rickey's hopes. Instead, Number 42 let his talent on the field do the talking—ultimately winning over fans and his teammates, silencing his critics, and paving the way for others to follow.

42 opens on April 12th, 2013. Check out the most recent trailer for the film below!

Another Great VFX Video on Creating The Hulk for THE AVENGERS

Here's another great behind the scenes special effect video from Industrial Light and Magic which shows us more of the process behind how they created The Hulk in The Avengers. This one focuses on Mark Ruffalo's mo-cap performance. Ruffalo is easily the best Bruce Banner and Hulk that we've seen, and it's awesome that Marvel locked him in for multiple movies. Hopefully he finally ends up getting another solo movie, one that Marvel and fans can be proud of. In the meantime I'll be happy to see Banner and The Hulk back in action in whatever other movies they bring him in on.

Jason Batemen is mostly known for his comedic roles in films like Horrible Bosses, The Switch, and The Change-Up. But this trailer for his new film Disconnect shows us a different, more dramatic side of Bateman that we don't really see that much of.

The movie is a suspense thriller, and it comes from Murderball director Henry Alex Rubin. It actually looks like a pretty good movie. There's several storylines that intertwine with each other that deal with privacy and sexual situations, it looks pretty intense. The movie also stars Hope Davis, Frank Grillo, Michael Nyqvist, Paula Patton, Andrea Riseborough, Alexander Skarsgard, and Max Thieriot. Here's the synopsis:

The story follows a hard-working lawyer, who attached to his cell phone, can’t find the time to communicate with his family. Check out this incredibly awesome Star Wars inspired X-Wing bed! It would have been awesome to have something like this as a kid, but my Star Wars blankets and sheets ended up working out just fine. Emma Stone Praises Script for THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

While making the press rounds for The Croods, Emma Stone talked a little bit about Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and praised the script for the film that was written by Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman and Jeff Pinkner. Here's what she had to say in a recent interview with Cineplex Magazine...

I'm in it, Andrew is in it. They just cast Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn, who is such a great actor, I think that will be wonderful. And Shaeline Woodley as Mary Jane, who's also wonderful. So there's all that, and the script is very, very good. I'm very much looking forward to it.

I'm very happy the way our first one was received so well. It'll be cool on the next one to see how Gwen and Peter bridge that distance that was between us at the end of it. I think it all unfolds pretty neat. And I hope they continue letting Gwen be heroic. I think they might!

I can't wait to see see how this movie turns out! I'm excited for the sequel, and I'm looking forward to seeing that new suit in action.

The movie is currently shooting in New York, and it also stars Andrew Garfield, Martin Sheen, Shailene Woodley, Jaime Foxx, Paul Giammatti, Chris Cooper, Felicity Jones, and Colm Feore, and it hits theaters on May 2nd, 2014. Here's the synopsis:

Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Robert Downey Jr. Reflects on IRON MAN; Shane Black Talks IRON MAN 3

While we impatiently wait for Iron Man 3 to be released in theaters, here's an interview with Robert Downey Jr. as he reflects on getting in on the Iron Man action, and  Shane Black talking about the future installments of the franchise.

Here's what Downey Jr. had to say to Esquire:

I think Iron Man wound up being the first time I screen-tested since Chaplin. As far as I was concerned, it was destiny. Now, I can't tell you how many people are sitting around with the cold, hard evidence that it wasn't. I just wasn't going to let lack of perseverance, lack of preparation, or lack of prayer get in the way. I just went crazy — in a good way. And suddenly it occurred to me, Oh my God, Stan Lee might not know this, but everything he created has all been leading to this moment. It's me. Then I thought, Hold on a second, dude, is this just some sort of neurotic personality meltdown happening here? And then I thought, Nah, that feels different.

I enjoy Robert's sense of humor! By the way, if you haven't seen Chaplin yet you should definitley watch it! It's one of his best performances ever. Black talked to Premiere in a seperate interview, and he talked a little about the future of the franchise saying:

I have the feeling that the story that we have developed for Iron Man 3 actually concluded a trilogy, while [also] leaving the door open to a fourth. I had a lot of discussions on this subject: "Is that it is the last Iron Man for Robert? " . Something tells me that it will not be the case, and will be seen in a fourth, or fifth ... But I can be a little excited.

He goes on to talk about being approached to direct the film,

When Marvel hires a director, the script of the film is generally already written. Except that they had someone who is a writer at the base ... This was a problem at first, because they had already hired Drew Pierce to write Iron Man 3. I was like, "But I do not need this Drew Pierce, what's the story?" (laughs) I finally agreed to meet him, and it was immediately heard. Today I am not only a fan of Drew Pierce, but I've also become a friend. He came [to my] home everyday, we asked our leaf and our pencil and brainstorming from morning to night. The script was really written for four hands. Excellent collaboration because they had already hired Drew Pierce to write.

Iron Man 3 is set to open in 3D and 2D theaters on May 3rd, 2013, and it's going to be everything we want it to be an more!
