Here's a trailer for the Tyler Perry-produced comedy Peeples, which stars The Office's Craig Robinson. The movie looks funny, it has a Meet The Parents kind of feel to it. It was written and directed by first time helmer Tina Gordon Chism, who was a scribe on Drumline and ATL.

Peeples also stars Kerry Washington, David Alan Grier, S. Epatha Merkerson, Tyler Williams, Melvin Van Peebles, and Diahann Carroll

Check out the trailer and let us know what you think!

Sparks fly in the Hamptons when "regular guy" Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the preppy Peeples family reunion to ask for their precious daughter Grace's (Kerry Washington) hand in marriage. Wade might be a fish out of water among this picture-perfect East Coast clan always trying to keep up appearances, but he's not about to let himself sink. Instead, in a wild weekend of fun, dysfunction and hilarious surprises, Wade is about to discover there's room for all kinds of Peeples in this family, no matter their differences.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 - First Look at New Spidey Costume!

$

Here's our first look at the new Spider-Man costume that Andrew Garfield will be wearing in Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2. It's extremely different from the costume used in the first movie. First, it's got the bigger bug eyes, and second it looks a little more like the costume used in the Sam Raimi films. It's also got a more classic Spider-Man look to it. I'm not really wowed or blown away by the costume design, because, well... it's kind of just a regular looking Spider-Man costume. It's not a bad thing! It just is what it is.

Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds, life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

The movie also stars Martin Sheen, Shailene Woodley, Paul Giammatti, Felicity Jones and Colm Feore, and it hits theaters on May 2nd, 2014.

What do you think of the new Spider-Man costume?

IRON MAN 3 - Pepper Potts Character Poster

Marvel has released a new character poster for Iron Man 3 featuring Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts holding Tony Stark's demolished helmet. We've previously heard rumors that there's a chance we could see Potts wearing a suit of armor in this movie. That would be very cool!

To see the Iron Patriot poster click here, to see the Aldrich Killian poster click here, and to see the Mandarin poster click here.

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

The movie also stars Robert Downey Jr., Sir Ben Kingsley, Don Cheadle, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, and Guy Pearce. It's set to open in 3D and 2D theaters on May 3rd, 2013.

First of all, Seth MacFarlane was a fantastic Oscar host, and I'd love to see him come back next year! The guy was classy and funny. He was a natural host that did a great job moving the show along. This was one of the best Oscar shows that I've seen in years, and it had an amazing mix of winners! I can't complain with any of the movies and actors that won last night, and for the most part I'm happy with them. The biggest surprise for me was Ang Lee taking home Best Director for Life of Pi. The series of art was created by artist BazNet, and the set includes Game of Thrones, Empire Strikes Back, The Dark Knight Rises, Return of the Jedi, Doctor Who, Aliens, and Prometheus. The Fede Alvarez-directed remake of the Evil Dead is going to be insane! I've loved everything I've seen from it so far, and everyone that has seen it, including producers Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell, are saying it's going to be an amazing horror film. I'm 100% on board, and I'm excited as hell to see it! Here's a few new photos from the film for you to check out, some of which might look familiar because they are shots from the trailer. To see more movie stills click here.

The movie stars Jane LevyShiloh FernandezLou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, and Elizabeth Blackmore. In the remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.

Evil Dead hits theaters on April 12th! Click here to watch the Green Band trailer and here to watch the awesomely bloody Red-Band one.

James McAvoy Looking to Join THE CROW Remake

$

As you may already know a remake of The Crow has been in development for years. Over that time both Bradley Cooper and Mark Wahlberg have been approached to star in it, but nothing ever came of it. The project isn't dead though, as producers are still looking for an actor to take on the lead role in the movie. According to Bloody-Disgusting that person might end up being X-Men: First Class star James McAvoy.

If cast he would star as Eric Draven, a man brutally murdered who comes back to life as an undead avenger of his and his fiancée’s murder. Like the first movie it will be based on James O’Barr’s 1989 comic.

McAvoy is a solid actor, but this doesn't seem like a role that would suit him. If he ends up taking the part it will be interesting to see him as this character. At the same time I still think it's a little ridiculous that they are still trying to get this movie remade.

The site reports that F. Javier Gutierrez is still attached to direct the movie from a screenplay by Jesse Wigutow.

Would you like to see McAvoy play The Crow?

10-Foot Tall Optimus Prime Cardboard Robot!

For a class project Transformers fan Paul Warner built this incredibly impressive 10-foot-tall Optimus Prime robot out of cardboard. I don't ever remember getting assignments like this in school! Here's what he had to say about it...

For my A-Level (Second year) my coursework project was based around the theme of Transformers, a franchise I am a big fan of. What better main-piece to do than create a giant scuplture?! Due to budget and time limitations, I thought it'd be best to construct it out of cardboard. Unfortunatly for me, I'm not Primus and can't create transformers at will! This guy took around 1 year in total to complete. Hope you enjoy looking at these piccys and don't forget to look at the completed piece afterwards, just lower your expectations is all i'm going to say... :/

I think it turned out great, but the creator didn't think it ended up being as good as he expected.

It really didn't turn out as well as I was expecting. His proportions, for one thing, are slightly off, and the hips are way too skinny for my liking. Also, the hands haven't been permanently attached due to lack of effort.

The thing is, it turned out better than anything that I could have built! Check out the rest of the pics below!

IRON MAN 3 - Empire Cover and New Photos

The new issue of Empire Magazine has a great new cover photo for Iron Man 3 featuring Tony Stark, and they've also included a few new photos of the film scanned from inside the magazine as well! One thing I find interesting about one of the photos is that Tony is wearing an AIM t-shirt. For those of you not familiar, AIM stands for Advanced Idea Mechanics, which is a think tank of elite scientists with a goal of conquering the world and create a new world in the image of science.

Blood-Drenched New Photo from CARRIE

Here's a new photo from the upcoming Carrie remake featuring a blood-drenched Chloe Moretz. It looks like she should be part of the new Evil Dead remake that's being made! I'm a huge fan of the original horror film, but I'm still looking forward to seeing this remake. It's hard not to get a little excited about it, especially with the cast, which also includes Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde, and Ansel Elgort.

The new adaptation was directed by Kimberly Peirce (Boys Don't Cry, Stop-Loss), and it's set to be released on October 18th, 2013 just in time for Halloween. I hope it ends up being a disturbing, fun time! Here's the synopsis...

The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie.  Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society.  Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.

Robert Downey Jr. Teases His Return to Tony Stark After IRON MAN 3

$

Iron Man 3 is Robert Downey Jr.'s last Iron Man film under his contract with Marvel, and as of right now there's no word on if we'll ever see him back in the armor after this. There's always a chance Iron Man will be recast the way James Bond has been recast several times over the years.

In a recent interview, Empire Magazine asked the actor whether or not he would want to return to the role of Tony Stark after Iron Man 3. Here was his teasing response,

Let's just say that the only thing I ever let go of had claw marks in it. There's a little bit of soul reclamation going on. I feel that the first time I played Tony, I did it best. Sorry! The affinity with Tony now is: how do you sustain something? I'm not stupid, I like to play ball, I love the company, I love the character, and the business side of things, I'm not to picky about that either.

Well, he didn't say no, so that's a plus! Looks like there's a chance he'll be back! Maybe no one can really say anything yet because they are still in negotiations. But even if he doesn't come back, Tony will live on. Downey Jr. went on to say,

Tony's going to carry on. Avengers 2 already has a release date!

When asked about the possibility of being replaced, and how he felt about it he said,

It would probably be the best thing in the world for me. You know, ego...but sometimes ego just has to be smashed. Let's see what happens. I take the audience very seriously - I feel bad when I see folks doing movies and the audience is like, 'Don't do that anymore.' I don't have to overstay my welcome...

I would love it if Downey Jr. came back for more movies, but I would understand if he doesn't. It will definitely be interesting to see who will play Stark if he doesn't keep playing him though. Is there anyone you can think of who would make a good replacement?

Mark Wahlberg Almost Played Kirk's Dad in STAR TREK

$

Before Chris Hemsworth signed on to play Captain Kirk's dad in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek film, the role was officially offered to Mark Wahlberg. I think it would have been really weird to see Wahlberg in that role, because Hemsworth was great. Fortunately, Wahlberg turned down the offer because apparently he just doesn't understand sci-fi, and he felt he couldn't pull it off. Here's what he said to Total Film,

I remember him asking me to play Captain Kirk’s father in Star Trek. I tried to read the script and I didn’t understand the words of the dialogue or anything, and I said 'I couldn’t do this. I think you’re really talented but I couldn’t do this.'

I guess Planet of the Apes sowered Wahlberg's outlook on making anymore sci-fi films in Hollywood. The part ended up launching Hemsworth's acting career, so I'm sure he's eternally grateful that Wahlberg didn't understand the Star Trek dialogue. Would you have liked to see Wahlberg take the part in the film?

Check out this really cool fan made lightsaber battle that was shot from the point of view of Darth Vader and a Jedi. We've seen a ton of lightsaber fan movies over the years, but nothing really quite like this, and I love how it turned out! The short is called Vader Strikes, and it was shot by The Stunt People using a GoPro. It stars Eric Jacobus (Mortal Kombat Legacy) as the Jedi that Vader is fighting. Check this Star Wars awesomeness out!
