First Look at Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone in GRUDGE MATCH

Robert De Niro and Sylvester Stallone are teaming up to fight each other in a new boxing comedy called Grudge Match, and here's our first look at the actors after a little sparring session in the ring. Both actors have played boxers in previous films, and it will be fun to see them getting back in the ring to fight each other.

In the film De Niro and Stallone play retired fighters who decide to step into the ring one last time to settle an old score. Stallone plays a character named Henry 'Razor' Sharp, "who retired after winning his last fight against Billy 'The Kid' McGuigan (De Niro), a passionate pugilist who never recovered after losing his belt to Razor and being denied a rematch. Now an out-of-shape restaurant owner, The Kid longs to be back in the spotlight and jumps at the chance to take another shot at Razor."

The film also stars Kim Basinger and Alan Arkin who plays a character named "Lightning" Louis Epstein. He's "Razor's former trainer who despite a medical condition, agrees to resume his post after Razor rescues him from a nursing home. Razor takes the rematch to pay Lightning's medical bills, but questions his decision when an old flame (Basinger) comes back into his life. Comedian Kevin Hart will co-star as the fight promoter."

The movie is being directed by Peter Segal from a script written by Entourage creator Doug Ellin. This is sure to end up being a fun movie.

Paramount Pictures has released two more great action-packed TV sports for G.I. Joe: Retaliation featuring a bit of new footage. One spot is called "Immortal," and the other is called "Drive it."

The movie looks like it could be pretty awesome, and I'm excited for it! The Rock, Channing Tatum, D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Park, Jonathan Pryce, Ray Stevenson, and Bruce Willis all star in the film, and it hits theaters in 3D on March 29th!

The G.I. Joes are not only fighting their mortal enemy Cobra; they are forced to contend with threats from within the government that jeopardize their very existence. The film stars D.J. Cotrona, Byung-hun Lee, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Jonathan Pryce, RZA, Ray Stevenson, Channing Tatum with Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson. Directed by Jon M. Chu, and produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Brian Goldner, from a screenplay by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick based on Hasbro's G.I. Joe(R) characters.

Joe Carnahan No Longer Directing DEATH WISH Remake

Looks like Joe Carnahan is no longer directing the Death Wish remake. According to Deadline the reason is due to creative differences. Apparently Paramount and MGM wanted Bruce Willis to to star in the film, and Carnahan didn't think that was the best casting decision for the film, so he ended up dropping out.

I have to side with Caranahan on this one, I don't really think Willis is the right guy to take over the role made famous by Charles Bronson. It's kind of a shame, because I think Carnahan would have been a great director for this movie. I have no doubt he would have did some crazy awesome stuff with the movie. There's a chance that he could end up directing a movie called Narco Sub, which Tony Scott previously set up at FOX.  It will be interesting to see who the studio hires to take his place.

Death Wish tells the story of Paul Kersey, a liberal architect who morphs into an assassin after his wife and daughter are brutally attacked. He then undertakes a one-man mission to hurt and kill a host of criminals on the streets of New York.

Are you sad to see Carnahan leave the project?

Check out this explosively action packed Batman and Joker fan art created by Otis Frampton called "A Simple Game of Keep Away." The piece came with the following note, "A good cop having a bad day." Poor Commissioner Gordon is having a really bad day, and I love the expression on Harley Quinn's face. I think this is such an epically exciting illustration!

Is Lucasfilm Developing a KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC Film?

Another crazy Star Wars rumor has found its way online, and I'm sure there's going to be a ton more rumors throughout the years. The thing you have to understand is as of right now, everything Star Wars is up for grabs, Lucasfilm and Disney are throwing around all kinds of ideas. If the fans have thought of it, I'm sure Lucasfilm has as well. They are going to want to make a ton of awesome Star Wars movies, and there's enough room to tell them all as long as people are going to see them, and the movies are making money. Remember, the studio wants to released 2 to 3 Star Wars films a year, and that could happen for as long as they want to keep making them. 20 years from now we could still be seeing Star Wars movies being made.

As for the latest rumor, AICN has heard that Drew Karpyshyn, the writer of video games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic, Mass Effect, and Mass Effect 2 is currently writting a movie script for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The writer recently left Bioware to pursue a career in screenwriting, and this rumor started with the people that work at Bioware. There's no confirmation of this, but like I said earlier, there's a strong possibility that Lucasfilm has considered this or is considering it just like every other Star Wars story they can tell.

It would be amazing if we ended up seeing a Knights of the Old Republic movie somewhere down the line, but who knows if it's really being written by Karpyshn. As of right now only one Star Wars movie is set in stone, and that is Star Wars: Episode VII. What do you think of this latest rumor? Is it something you'd like to see happen?

You Can Learn The Way of the Lightsaber!

Anyone who has ever watched STAR WARS has fantasized about when, not if, science  develops an actual lightsaber but until then we rely on prop replicas and cheap toys from Wal-Mart. The next step is learning how to use one. A San Francisco “Star Wars” fan has created a combat choreography class for the Jedi and Sith weapon. The class is the brainchild of Alain Bloch, a 32-year-old software engineer with a lifelong love of George Lucas’ epic space opera.

There are a lot of really awesome costuming groups in the Bay Area, but there was no one that was doing reenactments of the light saber battles that you find in movies, which I find to be some of the most exciting parts of them,... So I went around and was actually looking for somebody who could possibly teach me how to do this sort of choreography.

Matthew Carauddo, a fencing instructor and martial artist who works on stage choreography and teaches fencing in the Los Altos area, south of San Francisco. Carauddo was also a self-professed Star Wars geek and taught kids light saber choreography to supplement fencing, Bloch said. He trained Bloch, and then the pair founded Golden Gate Knights to bring more padawans into the Jedi order.

We have people who have their own light sabers and really want to learn how to use them and look cool flourishing them around... we have people who are into film who want to learn how to do some choreography for their film projects. And we have just a lot of people who are interested in fun weekend activities who want to come out and do something interesting. We have a lot of people are into ‘Star Wars,’ or at least curious about ‘Star Wars.’ And we have a lot of people come out on fun dates.

The class has grown to the point that it’s self-sustaining, but he’s not going to be quitting his day job anytime soon. “It’s just something I do on the side,” he said. “Only on the weekends I get to don my Jedi robes and feel the Force.”

This is one of the coolest things ever!

I am guessing this is the only place the Jedi and Sith can coexist.

Original ARGO Concept Art Created by Jack Kirby!

Argo was a film I really enjoyed, and the basis of the entire plot owes everything to a movie called Lord of Light, which an adaptation of a sci-fi novel. Lord of Light sat in development hell until CIA operative Tony Mendez renamed it Argo and used this insane scifi movie as a cover story to smuggle 6 Americans home from Iran.

Part of Mendez's plan included getting concept art, tons of it. So Mendez and his crew hired legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby

These are just some examples. Jack Kirby was so good at his job that the government needed him to save lives with it!

Trailer for the Thriller SIMON KILLER

Here's the trailer for a new thriller called Simon Killer which comes from director Antonio Campos (Afterschool). The movie looks like it could be a good film, and it's been getting decent reviews so it might be worth checking out.

The follow-up to Antonio Campos’ critically acclaimed AFTERSCHOOL, SIMON KILLER is an erotic and and psychological portrait of Simon (Brady Corbet, MELANCHOLIA, MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE), a well-educated, handsome and seemingly sympathetic college graduate with just a hint of something off-putting enough to ignite a sense of concern. Recently heartbroken, Simon travels to Paris to clear his head. After several days of wandering aimlessly, Simon finds himself drawn into a sex parlor and has a sexual encounter with an exotic prostitute, Victoria (Mati Diop, 35 SHOTS OF RUM). The chemistry builds between the two until they find themselves in a serious relationship, one that leads to blackmail, betrayal and the ultimate revelation of Simon’s true nature.

Simon Killer opens on April 5th, 2013.

I recently jumped on the Downton Abbey bandwagon. Everyone was talking about it and saying how good it was, so I finally made the plunge. As it turns out the show is just as good as everyone says it is! So if you haven't started watching it yet, I suggest you give it a try.

Anyway, the season 3 finale was pretty shocking. Still not sure how I feel about it. I won't spoil anything for you. Conan O'Brien recently shared a hilarious alternate ending to the series on his show that is absolutely hilarious. This is a much better ending!

Trailer for an Amazing Looking Survival Doc NO PLACE ON EARTH

In 1942 a group of 38 Ukrainian Jews descended into a cave to hide from the Nazis. They lived in the cave for over a year-and-a-half to survive the evil tyrany. A trailer for a new documentary called No Place On Earth has been released that tells this incredible story of survival blending interviews with the survivors and dramatizations of the events that took place.

The film was directed by Janet Tobias, it chronicles the story of how cave explorer Chris Nicola just happened to stumble upon this underground cave, and how it lead him on a journey to uncover the story behind it. The story of which is both terrifying and inspiring. Here's the synopsis:

In October 1942, Esther Stermer, the matriarch of a Jewish family in the Ukraine, leads her family underground to hide from the pursuing Nazis—and stays nearly a year and a half. Their harrowing story of survival living in near total darkness in two cold, damp caves is one like no other ever told. It was life… like No Place On Earth.

No Place On Earth will get a limited theatrical release on April 5th, 2013. Check out the trailer for this must watch documentary.

JUSTICE LEAGUE Logos In the Style of MAN OF STEEL Movie Logo

As you've seen Zack Snyder's Man of Steel has a very cool, and unique Superman logo that I think is great. Graphic designer Dave Jones has taken the look of that logo and given each of the other Justice League team member a new logo design inspired by the one we've seen for Man of Steel. Here's a statement form the artist to ComicBook.com...

These Justice League logos are inspired by the “Man of Steel” movie. The Superman (Man of Steel) logo is my best attempt at replicating the movie’s poster featuring the stylized logo. The Batman (Caped Crusader) logo has three separate bat images on different depth layers. I intentionally did not use the Dark Knight logo for this one. The Wonder Woman (Amazon Princess) logo is a combination of the classic design with the New 52 style. The Flash (Scarlet Speedster) logo includes glowing elements and speed lines. The Green Lantern (Emerald Guardian) logo also includes several glowing inner layers. The Hawkman (Winged Warrior) logo has yellow straps connecting the outer ring to represent his chest emblem.

I think they all turned out really cool, and he's currently working on one for Aquaman.
