Trailer for the Alien Invasion film ALIENATE is About a Man on a Mission to Fix His Marriage and Save the World
There are two great threats in our life. Divorce and aliens. What? Is there something else I'm missing? Well, this upcoming sci-fi indie film, Alienate, which was directed by Michael Shumway, deals with both of these issues. This is Shumway's first feature length film. and prior to this, he composed for films as Christmas Angel and The Edison Effect. Haven't heard of either of those movies? That's ok, it doesn't matter.
Alienate is all about a man named David who goes on a business trip to give his wife some space, and while he's gone an alien invasion hits. So now he's trying to get home to fix his marriage and to save the world. Here's the official synopsis:
At the end of his marriage, David leaves on a business trip to give his wife much-needed space. When airplanes start mysteriously falling out of the sky and cell towers fail across the nation, he finds himself trapped. The Earth falling to an alien invasion, David fights to return to whatever is left of home.
A review of this movie on IMDb says the film is less about aliens and more about a "down to earth issue which is alienation in erotic relationships." Well if it is, the trailer doesn't really show it. Or show any aliens! You can see what the aliens look like in the poster, though. The movie will get a very limited theatrical release and will be avialble to watch on VOD starting May 5th.

Guy Drums Along To Dramatic Scene From WILLY WONKA & THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY
A man has filmed himself drumming along to one of the most intense scenes of Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory and it's an absolute riot! For the record, I always thought it was wrong of Charlie's grandpa to get up in Wonka's face like that after being told they forfeit the competition after breaking the rules. To be honest, Charlie's grandpa is kind of a dick. The guy spends years in a bed unable to work and then the minute an opportunity arises for something fun he leaps out of bed sprier than a Spring chicken! Where was all that spunk when the family was on hard times?! Check out the video below.

King Ripple Just Wants to Be Left Alone in this Creepy Sci-Fi Short
There are few things more fascinating than abandoned cities and writer-director Luke Jaden also believes this as he uses abandoned buildings in Detroit to create the setting of his short film King Ripple. It's a story about a young man with the power of a god who just wants to be left alone in his empty city. When you have the power of a god and want to be left alone, that often results in just killing everyone who is near you. It follows a group of kids who want to see if the story of King Ripple is true.
King Ripple is played by Keith Stanfield who was in Get Out as the dinner party guest who freaks out when he's photographed. The short is fascinating, with its narration and the stoic aura of the titular King Ripple. Check it out.

As we celebrate the life of Charlie Murphy after his passing, a lot of people remember what a great storyteller he was. While we're all familiar of his past with Rick James and Prince, I'm sure a lot of you have never heard this crazy story of him and Mike Tyson and his pet lion. Yeah, that wasn't just a bit from The Hangover, Mike Tyson actually owned a lion at one point in his life. When I first moved to Los Angeles, I quickly started getting work as an extra (or, as they like to be called, "background artists") in movies and TV shows. It's super easy work, and you get a chance to be on real sets and get an up-close look at how these productions function. But sometimes, I'd run into someone who clearly thought they were destined for bigger things, and they were intent on starting their journey right then and there by doing something flashy to get a director's attention while filming was happening. Robert De Niro Shines as Bernie Madoff in Trailer for HBO's WIZARD OF LIES
Remember Bernie? No, not the one that a lot of people loved and wanted to be President. The other Bernie. The one who screwed over a lot of people with a Ponzi scheme. Well, there's a new HBO film coming out focusing on his life and how it was ruined. It stars Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer and the movie looks great!
De Niro is a Hollywood legend that was once was considered one of the greats. Well, it looks like he's found that magic again because he certainly seems to be bringing some power and gravitas to this new role. Not only does DeNiro look great in the film, but so does Michelle Pfeiffer. We haven't seen a lot of her lately in the movies but I loved her as Catwoman in Batman Returns and many of the other films she's made in her career.

This RICK AND MORTY Mod For GTA 5 Features Rick Slashing Up Cops and Pole Dancing
We've posted a ton of different Mods for Grand Theft Auto V on GeekTyrant over the years, but this Rick and Morty Mod is easily one of the craziest and strangest ones that I've seen. They feature Rick and Morty on one hell of a jacked-up journey.
It so weird seeing these characters in this world. In the first video, we see Rick going around blowing away cops and slashing them up. It's quite an amusing bloodbath. We also get to see him doing a pole dance in a nudie bar, and there's a disturbing scene showing two Ricks seducing a dude in a back room of a bar.
The second video features Rick and Morty flying around in their spaceship and we also get to see Morty and Mr. Meeseeks battling a bunch of cops. At one point we see bunch of Morty's get plowed down by a runaway car. These are a blast to watch!

FATE OF THE FURIOUS Beats STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS For Biggest Global Opening Weekend
Critics may be on the fence about whether The Fate Of The Furious is a success, but the numbers leave no doubt. The opening weekend for the action film netted $532.5 million globally, making it the biggest global opening weekend for a film of all time. That record was previously held by Star Wars: The Force Awakens which made $529 million around the world in its opening.
Domestically, this was not the best opening weekend for the Fast and the Furious franchise. In fact, Fate Of The Furious made $47 million less in the U.S. than its predecessor, FF7. Star Wars will have a chance to redeem itself when Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens later this year. I have a feeling The Last Jedi will be able to top this record. What do you think?

Netflix's Final Season of BLOODLINE Gets a Promo Spot and a Premiere Date
Netflix has released the first promo spot for the third and final season of Bloodline and they also announced that the series will premiere on May 26th. I'm a huge fan of this show and it's going to be interesting to see how the story that was started comes to an end.
The series was originally planned for five seasons, but after Florida cut out their tax incentives on film production, the show became too expensive to produce so they cut it short. At least we'll get a solid conclusion to the story.
The final season will consist of 10-episodes and if you haven't watched the series yet, you really need to check it out. It tells such a heavy and intense story that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
The series follows the Rayburn family, who "are hard-working pillars of their Florida Keys community, but their past contains dark secrets that they hope remain buried. Paranoia and mistrust build as lies pile up, alliances are shattered and an unthinkable crime takes place. The tight-knit family’s formerly harmonious relationship deteriorates, and good people are forced to consider doing very bad things."
Bloodline was written and created by Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman, and Glenn Kessler, and it has an incredible cast that includes Kyle Chandler, Sissy Spacek, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini and Norbert Leo Butz. I can't wait to see it!

60 Days Later And This Dude Is Still Eating Pictures Of Jason Segel's Face
I know you guys get pissed every time I share an update on this guy, but I really think he deserves some credit for his dedication. Did anyone think when we first posted about this guy who claimed he would eat a picture of Jason Segel every day until Segel ate one of him would actually take it this far? This guy is two months into the commitment which is longer than my average workout stint! Surely, Jason Segel will respond sometime soon right? If not, just how long can this guy go?!

Watch: Star-Studded SMUGGLER'S REVENGE from STAR WARS Celebration
Jason Reitman doesn't allow his famous Live Reads to be filmed, but if you've ever wondered what one of those events looks like, Smuggler's Revenge from this year's Star Wars Celebration is pretty close. Fanboys director Kyle Newman co-wrote an original Han Solo story that takes place just before The Empire Strikes Back and directed a cast of talent that includes David Collins, Catherine Taber, Tom Kane, Vanessa Marshall, Steve Blum, Mathew Wood, Sam Witwer, and Warwick Davis in reading the script aloud on stage, complete with sound effects and music in the background. If you're a Star Wars fan (and come on, who isn't at this point?), there's a good chance you'll dig this.
