Fans of Studio Ghibli's 2001 animated film Spirited Away are going to love this! It's a piggy bank based on the magical No-Face spirit character from the film. It's called the Spirited Away No Face Munching Piggy Bank, and it eats the coin put on his plate and then burps. According to Rocket News:

No Face lets out his signature “Ah…ah…” phrase, and music from the movie begins to play as the dish of coins moves towards its mouth. No Face’s teeth are revealed, the coins are consumed and the spirit lets out a glorious burp at the end of its rich meal.

The No-Face bank was developed by Benelic, which is the company behind the official Studio Ghibli merchandise sold at Japan’s Donguri Kyowakoku chain of stores. If you want to order one, head on over to Cafe de Donguri, where you can buy the bank for a limited time until May 18th.

This Is the Best Han Solo Jacket That $500 Can Buy!

For those of you who are looking for a perfectly badass Han Solo jacket, Anovos has exactly what you're looking for! This jacket is awesome, and you just have to fork over $500 to get it. The Han Solo jacket is currently available for pre-order and will ship later this year.

Anovos specializes in the creation and distribution of insanely detailed Star Wars costume gear, and if you're a Han Solo fan, this is a jacket that is definitely a tempting purchase. I'll admit, I want one really bad, and I want to buy it! Unfortunately, I just don't have the $500 dollars it would take to make the purchase.

The jacket was created using references from the original screen-used jacket, and it’s made of genuine leather with a satin lining. Here are all the details:

Smuggler. Scoundrel. Hero. Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon, was one of the great leaders of the Rebel Alliance. He now defiantly sports a nerf-hide jacket after once being called a “scruffy-looking nerf-herder” by General Leia Organa. ANOVOS is proud to offer the STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Han Solo Jacket. This is not a toy. Not suitable for children. Pre-order items are subject to change in availability and features.
This STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS™ costume accessory was recreated using the original patterns teamed with measurements and reference taken from the original screen-used production asset.
  • The jacket shell is constructed of genuine leather.
  • Magnetic closures secure the front lapel.
  • Interior is fully lined in satin.
  • Three chest pocket detonator casings are included.
  • Other Han Solo items can be purchased separately here.

Jeff Daniels Will Star in Hulu's 9/11 Drama LOOMING TOWER

$

Jeff Daniels is set to star in an upcoming 9/11 series being developed at Hulu called The Looming Tower. The 10-episode drama is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book, which "tracks the rising threat of Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda and examines how the rivalry between the CIA and FBI may have inadvertently set the stage for the Sept. 11, 2001, tragedy as well as the subsequent war in Iraq."

Sounds like this is going to be an intense series that sparks some conversation. According to THR, Daniels will play John O'Neill, "the determined, bull-headed chief of the New York FBI’s Counter-Terrorism unit." The description goes on to say:

The character is rightly convinced that the U.S. has been targeted for attack by Al-Qaeda, and faces deliberately insufficient cooperation from other facets of the federal government, particularly from his counterpart at the frequently antagonistic CIA. A man of appetites, O’Neill is a lover of expensive food and drink, and is involved with at least two girlfriends, neither of whom know about his wife and children.

The series is being written by Dan Futterman (Foxcatcher, Capote), who is also an executive producer. The project is being developed through Legendary Television, and it's certainly going to make for a compelling series.

This seems like the perfect project for Daniels to take on. He's currently set to star in Steven Soderberg's Netflix series Godless, and is currently in production on the film The Catcher Was a Spy. Here's the description of the book that the series is based on:

A gripping narrative that spans five decades, The Looming Tower explains in unprecedented detail the growth of Islamic fundamentalism, the rise of al-Qaeda, and the intelligence failures that culminated in the attacks on the World Trade Center. Lawrence Wright re-creates firsthand the transformation of Osama bin Laden and Ayman al-Zawahiri from incompetent and idealistic soldiers in Afghanistan to leaders of the most successful terrorist group in history. He follows FBI counterterrorism chief John O’Neill as he uncovers the emerging danger from al-Qaeda in the 1990s and struggles to track this new threat. Packed with new information and a deep historical perspective, The Looming Tower is the definitive history of the long road to September 11.

Crazy Dark Comedy Short About a Robbery That Goes Horribly Wrong - THE ROBBERY

"The Robbery" is a wonderfully amusing and messed up short film that follows a young woman's casual attempt to rob a convenient store. As you'll see, everything goes horribly wrong and things unexpectedly escalate into complete craziness. It's pretty damn entertaining.

The short comes from directorJim Cummings and co-writer Dustin Hahn, who was inspired by an experience one of his childhood friends. Cummings talked about that saying, “He took a cab to rob a liquor store and it went south. I said, ‘Jesus, what does that even look like?’ Dustin said, ‘Drugs… New Jersey.’” That 's exactly what you get in this short film.

The short was screened at Sundance earlier this year, and now it's available for everyone to enjoy. Check it out!

Megan Leavey tells the inspiring true story of a Marine in the U.S. military and the bond that she forms with her bomb sniffing combat dog. I'm normally not into films about dogs, but this one actually looks pretty good and it has a solid cast with Kate Mara in the title role. If you're a dog lover, I'm sure this is a movie you'll want to check out. Here's the synopsis:

Based on the true life story of a young marine corporal whose unique discipline and bond with her military combat dog saved many lives during their deployment in Iraq. When she is assigned to clean up the K9 unit after a disciplinary hearing, Leavey identifies with a particularly aggressive dog, Rex, and is given the chance to train him. Over the course of their service, Megan and Rex completed more than 100 missions until an IED explosion injures them, putting their fate in jeopardy.

The rest of the cast includes Edie FalcoCommonBradley WhitfordRamon Rodriguez, and Geraldine James. The movie is set to be released on June 9th.

Our friends at We Got This Covered released a fan-made trailer for Batman v Superman that was made in the same style as the trailer for Logan. Watch: Ryan Gosling Impersonator Mistakenly Gets Award for LA LA LAND at German Award Show

This has to be one of the most ridiculous/hilarious Hollywood pranks I've ever seen. A German man managed to fool producers of the prestigious Goldene Kamera Awards that he was Ryan Gosling and there to accept an award the show had prepared for La La Land. The reactions from celebrities like Nicole Kidman and Jane Fonda are hilarious...Colin Farrell looks pissed.

So how does Germany's biggest film awards show screw up this badly? Well, the German pranksters organized the demands for Gosling's appearance so that he was seen very little prior to him actually appearing on stage. He didn't walk the red carpet and was surrounded by handlers and others who masked his appearance until it was time for him to be on stage. Looks like The Oscars doesn't have to be so embarrassed anymore, right?

Artist Kerry Callen has released another great vintage-style DC superhero comic strip for you to enjoy. This one pokes fun at the whole cape thing. I love how The Flash ruins everything and Aquaman's got little seashells covering his nipples. When talking about the comic, Callen said:

As I drew this, I started wondering, "Who was the first person to hide behind their own cape? "Dracula? The Shadow? Bull fighters? Is it a cliche from ancient times? Anybody out there know anything about it?

Sculptor Perfectly Recreates Johnny Depp's Twisted FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS Head From the Poster

Artist Kevin Kirkpatrick, who has worked on films like The Avengers, Sucker Punch, Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, must be a huge fan of the 1998 movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, because he's sculpted this spot-on recreation of Johnny Depp's twisted visage from the movie's poster. He talked about the project in an interview with Creators:

"I just wanted people to think about what it was they were looking at," Kirkpatrick says. "When I first made the piece, I posted photos and people would ask me why I posted a photo of the poster. It's not until they looked closer that they realized that it was a 3D art piece that they were used to seeing in two dimensions. I took on a challenge with a very limited time constraint, which quite nearly drove me crazy due to lack of sleep. But it's been one of my favorite projects."

In addition to matching the physicality of this piece down to the tiniest detail, Kirkpatrick also went the extra mile and made the glasses by hand. Pretty incredible, huh?

Watch 64 Stunning and Terrifying Military Nuclear Test Films That Were Just Declassified

From 1945 until 1962, the United States military conducted 210 nuclear bomb tests. I know many of you have probably seen footage of some of these tests in the past; they feature the big fiery mushroom cloud of death. The testing was banned in 1963, but before that, there was a ton of footage that was shot and stored away in vaults that have never been revealed... until now.

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory weapon physicist Greg Spriggs has set out on a mission to preserve the 7,000 known films that exist. Over the past five years that LLNL has been working on this they've already scanned 4,200 films and 750 of those are now declassified.

So far they've taken sixty-four of those declassified films and posted them YouTube, which you can watch below in the video playlist. These videos are both awesome and absolutely terrifying.

We've got another great video from Couch Tomato to share with you. This one offers us 24 reasons why Ron Howard's Splash and Disney's The Little Mermaid are the same movie. Yeah, both movies feature mermaids who find themselves with legs, living on dry land and learning different things about this new world that are in. This movie goes beyond the obvious, though.

Splash is a movie that you don't see brought up a lot these days, and I love that Couch Tomato included it in his latest video. Splash is such a great film and if you haven't seen it yet, it's a classic film from the '80s that you gotta check out!

It's always fun to watch the blooper reels for films, and there have been a ton of blooper reels released for the Marvel movies. Screenrant has released a new video list that breaks down ten of the best in a video they call, "10 Marvel Bloopers They Couldn't Plan Even If They Tried." Of course, when it comes to any blooper, they are never planned, and that's what makes watching bloopers so entertaining!

They've got a solid list of bloopers here that I think you'll enjoy. The bloopers come from Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man 3, Deadpool and more.

The Marvel movies have come to be some of the most successful films ever to be released. Filled with likable characters, great stories and jaw dropping effects, the Marvel films are here to stay. The films are often fairly funny, but some of that humor doesn’t even make it into the final cut. Despite portraying some of the most popular superheroes on the planet, even the actors occasionally make a mistake and goof up on set, resulting in a mistake worthy of laughs. From Gods to aliens, scientists to mutants, here are Screenrant’s 10 Marvel Bloopers they couldn’t plan even if they tried. If you got a kick out of this video, don’t forget to give us a like, leave a comment and subscribe to stay up to date on all things screenrant.
