If you're looking for an expert on the world of horror, you won't find much better than Alfred Hitchcock. While this interview is over 40 years old, it seems not a lot of Horror directors today have heard it. In the interview, Hitchcock says that audiences love "toe in the water," fear with a resolve. He mentions people's love of roller coasters and how we love to scare ourselves riding them while simultaneously blocking out that a slight malfunction could mean our instantaneous deaths. He also references one of his past films where he learned the hard way what happens when you introduce fear with resolve, and how it was a mistake in his filmmaking. Fascinating stuff to hear from a legend in the genre.

If you've been excited about director Patty Jenkin's Wonder Woman, wait until you get a load of this new trailer! This thing is packed full of sensational new footage that is sure to get fans even more pumped up to see the movie. A lot of the new footage gives us more insight into the background and training of Wonder Woman in the DCEU. There's actually a solidly good chance that Wonder Woman could actually be the best film in the DCEU that's been made so far. Gal Gadot is owning this role and she's gonna kick some ass in this movie.
Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny
Wonder Woman also stars Chris Pine as Steve Trevor, Connie Nielsen as Wonder Woman’s mother, Queen Hippolyta, and Robin Wright as Wonder Woman’s aunt, General Antiope. The cast also includes Lucy Davis, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Danny Huston, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya, Florence Kasumba, and Saïd Taghmaoui.
Wonder Woman opens in theaters on June 2, 2017.
The New WONDER WOMAN Trailer is Spectacularly Awesome!
A new clip and TV spot have been released for Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight and it very much looks like a movie being targeted to little kids. Both the promos prominently feature the kid characters in the movie, but they were shown during the Kids Choice Awards, so it makes sense.
The first clip that's been released features the young main character Izabella, played by Isabela Moner, who is on the run with her friends from a sentry that is hunting them down. In the process, they find some cover from a helpful Transformer that may or may not be Bumblebee. If it is Bumblebee he looks different from his usual look, but it has the same color scheme.
The TV spot offers more new footage from the film that mostly focuses on Izabella being a strong young female character who isn't afraid to step up and confront the Decepticons. We also get to see Grimlock eat and coughing up cars.
The Last Knight shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).
There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.
Transformers: The Last Knight also stars Josh Duhamel as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox, Stanley Tucci as Joshua Joyce, Jerrod Carmichael as Desi, and Liam Carrigan (Once Upon a Time) as King Arthur. The movie opens in theaters on June 23, 2017.

The first full trailer for Edgar Wright's new film Baby Driver has been released and it looks like it's going to be a freakin' blast! I wouldn't expect anything less, from the director who brought us films such as Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. This trailer explodes with energy and it's going to get Wright fans super excited to see the movie!
The film stars Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver who wants to leave his life of crime behind after falling for a girl who is being played by Lily James. What makes the character so interesting is the fact that he suffers from tinnitus and the “movie’s action is choreographed to the music he plays to drown out the ringing in his ears.” Wright previously talked about the film saying that the character listens to a wide range of diverse music during the film's chase sequences. He explained:
“I always wanted to do an action movie that was powered by music. It’s something that’s very much a part of my previous films and I thought of this idea of how to take that a stage further by having a character who listens to music the entire time. So, you have this young getaway driver who has to soundtrack his entire existence, particularly the bank robberies and fast getaways that come afterwards.”
As you'll see, the trailer teases some pretty kickass car chase sequences! The movie also has a wicked talented cast that includes Jamie Foxx, Elsa Gonzalez, Lily James, Jon Bernthal and Kevin Spacey. Here's the synopsis:
A talented, young getaway driver (Ansel Elgort) relies on the beat of his personal soundtrack to be the best in the game. But after being coerced into working for a crime boss (Kevin Spacey), he must face the music when a doomed heist threatens his life, love and freedom.
Baby Diver is set to hit theaters this summer on August 11th. No watch the trailer!

Since we're a couple of weeks out from the Oscars, we seem to finally be far enough away that people can start to appreciate Moonlight's Best Picture win on its own instead of associating it with the fiasco that happened during the ceremony. I'll take any opportunity I can to write about Barry Jenkins' beautiful, thoughtful meditation on manhood, sexuality, and the gay black experience in America, and even though I admittedly didn't love the film as unabashedly as many of my colleagues, I still appreciate its messages and am consistently floored by its terrific cinematography.
Editor Jacob T. Swinney (via The Playlist) noticed a ton of recurring images throughout the film's triptych narrative, and he edited them together in a side-by-side video that shows off the repeating visual motifs. If you haven't seen the film, do yourself a favor and check it out in a theater before it heads to VOD: it's a gorgeous-looking movie that deserves to be seen on a big screen.

Following the box office success of their first collaboration, La La Land, actor Ryan Gosling and Oscar-winning director Damien Chazelle are reuniting for a Neil Armstrong biopic called First Man. In case you were asleep in history class or have somehow just awoken from an almost fifty-year coma and are just catching up on the major events of the 20th century, Armstrong was the first man to walk on the moon during NASA's Apollo 11 mission back in 1969.
THR says that Universal has slotted Chazelle's film for an October 12, 2018 release, which is prime territory for a potential Oscar run should the studio be interested in pursuing something like that with this film (the release date would indicate that they think it has a shot at a trophy or two).
Written by Josh Singer (Spotlight), the drama is described as a visceral, first-person account of NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon, focusing on the years 1961-1969 and Armstrong, the astronaut who became the first man to set foot on the moon. Based on the book by James R. Hansen, the pic will explore the sacrifices and the cost — on Armstrong and on the nation — of one of the most dangerous missions in history.
Sounds pretty damn fantastic to me. I think I speak for many of us when I say that I don't know much at all about Armstrong's life aside from his monumental achievement, and separate from that, it'll be interesting to see what Chazelle does with a screenplay that he didn't write himself.

I don't think you actually need this many keyboards and synthesizers to recreate the Stranger Things theme...but I appreciate it nonetheless. Luke Million starts with the traditional opening of the now classic opening theme to the Netflix series, then things get funky! Check it out below.

Couch Tomato tackles an interesting film comparison that gives us 24 reasons why DC's Green Lantern and Marvel's Doctor Strange are the same movie. It's strange to see these movies being compared to each other because Green Lantern sucked and Doctor Strange was amazing. Couch Tomato makes a compelling case, though. It's always fun to see how he compares certain movies together and he did a great job with this one.

I enjoy watching bloopers and outtakes from movies. They're just a lot of fun to watch! ScreenRant has come up with a list of what they consider to be ten of the best movie bloopers that are more enjoyable to watch than the movies they come from. Some of the films included in the video are Spider-Man 3, Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Iron Man 3, House of Wax, The Hangover, Men and Black II, and Suicide Squad.
Bloopers are an inevitable part of movie-making. Like everybody else in the world, actors and everybody else involved in the movie-making process are only human. Mistakes will happen - but it goes without saying that, as a general rule, most people would rather watch an actual movie than a movie's blooper reel. However, in some cases - either when a movie is particularly bad or a blooper is particularly good - the bloopers are actually more enjoyable to watch than the movies themselves. That's what this video is all about, so enjoy it, and make sure you subscribe to our channel and join the notification squad to receive alerts every time we upload new videos! Here are ten bloopers you would rather watch than the movie.
10 Best Movie Bloopers That Are More Enjoyable Than the Movie
Mickey Rourke is a great actor, but he hasn’t really done anything that memorable since his Oscar-nominated role in The Wrestler. It’d be great to see him take on another great film and maybe this next project will be it.
Rourke will star in a supernatural thriller called Unhinged and will play a character named Dr. Elder, “a prominent psychiatrist at a state-run hospital who wrestles with madness and a dark supernatural force as he races to stop an escaped patient from butchering five people held hostage in a remote house.”
That actually sounds like it could be a great and intense horror film, and it seems like a role that Rourke could slip right into. This wouldn’t be Rourke first horror film. In 1987 he starred in the movie Angel Heart, which you should watch if you haven’t seen it yet!
The movie is being directed by Mark Atkins (Haunting Of Winchester House) and they’ll start shooting this July in Los Angeles.

Spawn creator Todd McFarlane recently posted a video of himself drawing a sketch of Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy. I've been a fan of McFarlane's art style since he started drawing Spider-Man for Marvel comics back in the '90s. It's cool to see him bring his unique art style to a new Marvel character that is currently enjoying massive popularity thanks to James Gunn's Guardians films. McFarlane actually worked with Jim Starlin in the early ‘90s on the Guardians of the Galaxy comic book. Shouldn't he be working on his Spawn movie?

Here's a fun piece of concept art for a wild looking Ant-Man attraction being developed for Hong Kong Disneyland. There's currently no information on what the attraction will be or when it will open, but it will join the Iron Man Experience at the theme park, which you can check out here.
I love Ant-Man and judging by the art it seems like it would make for a great ride with some fun humor. It features Ant-Man battling a swarm of killer robotic drones, and it looks like guests will be able to join in on the battle with laser blasters. The attraction will replace Buzz Lightyear's Astro-Blasters in the Tomorrowland park, and I imagine this could be a more high-tech version of that. Maybe they'll even find a way to shirk and enlarge the guests in the process!

In this latest TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Rocket threatens to leave a squishy turd in Star-Lord's pillow case. After the whole turd conversation ends while the team is in the middle of a space battle, we are treated to more fun new footage from the film that you're going to enjoy! Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters on May 5th!

One of the things that we've heard a lot is that Thor: Ragnarok will include a good amount of humor. Director Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows) was looking for a more humorous tone, especially when it comes to the relationship between Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) when they find themselves fighting in gladiator matches on the planet Sakaar.
This humor aspect seems to be getting some fans worried. Don't worry, though, Waititi says that the movie isn't really a comedy, telling EW:
“It’s not really a comedy. There are some really great moments we’re going to have in the film. Knowing that it was Bruce Banner and Thor on kind of a road trip journey, that lends itself to a tone because those guys are both really funny. I was like you gotta exploit Chris’ comic abilities. He’s so good and underutilized in that department. He’s legitimately one of the funniest things in this film.”
The director went on to say the tone of the film is closest to the 1986 cult classic John Carpenter film Big Trouble in Little China. In fact, it was one of the movies Waititi presented when he originally pitched his vision for Thor: Ragnarok to Marvel. He explained why the movie served as a major inspiration for Thor, saying:
“Big Trouble in Little China was one of those films where Jack Burton is a buffoon but he’s lovable and you’re with him the entire way. I thought Thor has got to be the one you want to be with in every scene.”
I love that! I think fans should be more excited about this whole tonal shift in Thor: Ragnarok. I love that Big Trouble in Little China inspired this film because it is a favorite movie of mine! Look, I enjoyed the first two Thor films, I thought they were great. Not everyone agrees with me on that. A lot of fans think that they are the worst films in the Marvel film franchise. Well, if that's the case, don't you think the fans would be happy with the tonal change?
This is going to be a very different kind of Thor movie than what's been done before, and we are going to get Planet Hulk in the process! Fans should be exploding with excitement, not worried about there being too much humor in the film. I have a feeling that this movie is going to blow people away.
Thor: Ragnarok picks up after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron, where Thor left Earth and returned to Asgard after hearing about trouble on his home planet in the form of Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who has taken the throne by impersonating their father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). Unfortunately, Loki’s rather lax governing leads to the reemergence of an imprisoned Hela (Cate Blanchett), who blasts Thor to Sakaar, a barbaric planet ruled by the charming but nefarious Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), a tough, hard-drinking warrior hiding out on Sakaar brings the god to the Grandmaster, after which he’s forced into becoming a gladiator (and teams, eventually, with The Hulk).
Thor: Ragnarok is out in theaters on November. 3. To catch up on all of our Thor: Ragnarok news, make sure to click here.

After all these years of acting and playing some incredible roles in his career, actor John Goodman finally got a star on the Walk of Fame. I don't know what it took so long, but now it's done and all is right in the world.
During the ceremony, his Big Lebowski co-star Jeff Bridges came up to give a little speech in honor of Goodman and his career. Right before he gave the speech he pulled The Dude's sweater out of a bag and put it on and from there he channeled the classic character as he praised Goodman and his work.

I still can’t get over how great Logan is. It’s easily one of the best films to come out this year so far. Like any film, there are a lot of things that were planned out and shot for Logan that ended up being cut out for one reason or another. Well, director James Mangold revealed that one of those scenes involved a conversation regarding Jean Grey, and in an interview with Empire he explained how that scene plays out:
“I sketched out different conversations for that dinner scene and one of them went to a much darker place. Mrs Munson asks Logan if he’s married, and Charles says he was – but he killed her. Of course, he wasn’t really married, but what that then spawns is Charles waxing poetic about Jean Grey, and it’s a really cool moment. Both Hugh and Patrick were amazing.”
That’s a heavy conversation with these two characters, and it confirms that Xavier did, in fact, kill Jean during the Westchester incident that was talked about in the movie. Mangold went on to explain why he decided to ultimately cut the scene:
“The problem was, it created an incredibly powerful lead brick in the middle of the only moment in the movie where there was a breather. Even I, with my taste for the dark, felt that it was one too many. Things go pretty shitty within seconds after that.”
I totally understand why the scene was cut, but I’d still love to see it play out and hear what Xavier says in this moment. We might even get that chance when Logan is released on Blu-ray. The director when on to tease:
“I think [the deleted scene] will make it to the Blu-ray.”
Hopefully, he puts it in there because I gotta see it!
