Thor and Hulk Fight in New THOR: RAGNAROK Concept Art and First Good Look at the Villain Hela

thor-and-hulk-fight-in-new-thor-ragnarok-concept-art-and-first-good-look-at-the-villain-hela1

Some awesome new concept art has surfaced from Marvel's highly anticipated Thor: Ragnarok! A couple pieces feature Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) in the heat of battle in a gladiator match on the planet of Sakaar. And there's another one that gives us our first good look at Cate Blanchette as Hela looking over Thor and Loki (Tom Hiddleston). I love her design as she looks incredibly sinister!

In Marvel Studios’ Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok — the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization — at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger — the Incredible Hulk!

Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released in theaters on November 3rd. I love that this movie is coming out this year! I can't wait to see what director Taika Waititi has done with this story. The concept art is sure looking cool!

BLACK PANTHER Concept Art Shows Off T’Challa's Home of Wakanda and Some Action

black-panther-concept-art-shows-off-tchallas-home-of-wakanda-and-some-action1

For those of you who are excited about director Ryan Coogler's Black Panther movie, I've got some beautiful concept art from it. Most of it centers on T’Challa's home of Wakanda, and some of it shows off some cool images of Black Panther. This looks like it's a beautifully designed film.

Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the events of “Captain America: Civil War,” returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to take his place as King. However, when an old enemy reappears on the radar, T’Challa’s mettle as King and Black Panther is tested when he is drawn into a conflict that puts the entire fate of Wakanda and the world at risk.

The movie stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Daniel Kaluuya, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, and Andy Serkis. Black Panther comes out on February 16th, 2018.

The Claws Are Out in Cool New LOGAN IMAX Poster and 2 Exciting TV Spots

the-claws-are-out-in-cool-new-logan-imax-poster-and-2-exciting-tv-spots

Logan director James Mangold has released a new IMAX poster for the film and wishes everyone a Happy Valentine's Day because nothing says Valentine's Day like a poster for a badass bloody and violent R-rated Wolverine movie! I do hope this is the poster they will be giving away to fans at the IMAX screenings.

I've also included a couple new TV spots for the film that offer new info confirming rumors of the film’s mutant population, and they offer new footage including a better look at one of the villain’s abilities.

Logan will slash its way into theaters next month on March 3rd.

In 2024 the mutant population has shrunk significantly and the X-Men have disbanded. Logan, whose power to self-heal is dwindling, has surrendered himself to alcohol and now earns a living as a chauffeur. He takes care of the ailing old Professor X whom he keeps hidden away. One day, a female stranger asks Logan to drive a girl named Laura to the Canadian border. At first he refuses, but the Professor has been waiting for a long time for her to appear. Laura possesses an extraordinary fighting prowess and is in many ways like Wolverine. She is pursued by sinister figures working for a powerful corporation; this is because her DNA contains the secret that connects her to Logan. A relentless pursuit begins … In this third cinematic outing featuring the Marvel comic book character Wolverine we see the superheroes beset by everyday problems. They are aging, ailing and struggling to survive financially. A decrepit Logan is forced to ask himself if he can or even wants to put his remaining powers to good use. It would appear that in the near-future, the times in which they were able to put the world to rights with razor sharp claws and telepathic powers are now over.

See How Thor's DOCTOR STRANGE Cameo Was Shot

In case you haven't seen Doctor Strange, the end credits scene features heroes Thor and Strange talking about Loki and a general interaction between the two. The scene had its quirks and introduced the two so that a future collaboration wouldn't require so much getting to know each other. After watching how it was made, I'm even more pumped for that team up! Marvel's Stephen Broussard says fans should be excited as the chemistry Benedict Cumberbatch and Chris Hemsworth share off screen is a dynamic that has them excited. Hear more about that in the video below, and be ready as Doctor Strange is slated to appear in Thor: Ragnarok!

THOR and His Roommate Argue About Rent in Great Marvel Short

In a continuation of a previous joke series where Marvel tackled what Thor was up to during Captain America: Civil War, we have a new clip from Team Thor. It seems Thor's roommate Darryl is wanting Thor to provide more that Earth's protection for rent and Asgardian money does not have a good conversion rate. Watch the hilarious exchange below, and if you missed the first part, check it out here

Learn the Final JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 2 Body Count in This Detailed Infographic

We've already seen the "killfographic" for the first John Wick movie that counted down the headshots and ridiculously over-the-top violence of Keanu Reeves' vengeance-driven hitman, and now that the sequel is out in theaters, a new infographic is here to do the same thing for his latest adventure. The action (and body count) is amped up considerably in the new movie; see if you can guess how many headshots there were without looking.

Spoilers ahead, obviously.

Keanu Reeves Leads a Cult of Cannibals in Trailer for THE BAD BATCH

0

I've got crazy-ass trailer for you to watch for a film called The Bad Batch, which follows a girl captured by a band of cannibals living in a wasteland led by Keanu Reeves. The film comes from director Ana Lily Amirpour (A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night), and it looks like it'll be a wild, jacked-up ride. This first trailer definitely sparked my interest.

The Bad Batch has a great cast that also includes Suki Waterhouse (Love, The Divergent Series: Insurgent), Jason Momoa (Aquaman), and Giovanni Ribisi (Ted, Sneaky Pete).

The story follows Arlen (Waterhouse) "as she is unceremoniously dumped in a Texas wasteland fenced off from civilized society. While trying to orient her unforgiving environment, she is captured by a savage band of cannibals and quickly realizes she’ll have to fight her way through her new reality. As Arlen adjusts to life in ‘the bad batch’ she discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who you’re standing next to."

The Bad Batch will be released on June 23rd.

We know who the winner would be in a fight between Dragon Ball's Goku and The Man of Steel, but who would win in a fight between Goku and an android version of The Dark Knight? Batman faces off against the Saiyan warrior in this fan-made stop-motion video from YouTuber counter656 (via GeeksAreSexy), and this thing essentially turns into a no-holds-barred wrestling match with surprising tag teams on both sides. Edward James Olmos to Star in SONS OF ANARCHY Spin Off Series

Edward James Olmos has been snagged to headline a spin-off series of Sons Of Anarchy. The series, Mayans MC, will take place after the original series and center on EZ Reyes. THR says Olmos will be playing the family patriarch Felipe Reyes, who will try to keep his family on a lawful and righteous path despite his shady past. SOA showrunner Kurt Sutter is set to co-write the series as well as direct the pilot episode!

I was never huge on spin-offs until I saw Better Call Saul, which in my opinion, has been every bit as good as Breaking Bad. I can't wait to see what Mayans MC brings to the table!

Girlfriend Makes Hilarious Video in Repsonse to Boyfriend's Non Stop VR Playing

If you feel like your significant other is unresponsive when they play video games, just wait until VR becomes a massive thing. While her boyfriend is "plugged in" and only seeing and hearing the world of the VR racing game he's playing, this girl decides to have some fun with some choreographed lip syncing that is so much better than I thought it was going to be!

Frankly, this is one of the reasons why I'm kind of paranoid about VR, as it makes me uncomfortable being essentially blind to the real world around me. I'm always paranoid someone is robbing me or something! Check out the video below, and have a happy Valentine's Day!

Possible Details About First STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI Teaser Trailer Leaked

0
0

The first teaser trailer for Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi is said to be premiering at Star Wars Celebration in April. We might have an idea of what that trailer contains thanks to Mike Zeroh, who obtained the information from 4chan, so take this information with a grain of salt. 4chan is hit or miss with this kind of information, and it's worth nothing that the information has since been removed from the site.

In a recent video Zeroh posted on YouTube, he offers a shot-for-shot breakdown of the information. It certainly sounds intriguing, and fake or not, it still managed to get me excited for the movie! It's hard to tell what is real and what's not with this kind of stuff, but I post because it makes for fun conversation with fans!

If you don't want to know what these possible details might be, then I suggest you not read any further or watch the video.

The teaser reportedly starts with “Finn waking up from a nightmare/coma” and is followed by Poe Dameron showing up saying, “They’re here”.

It's said that the main scene from the trailer features a man in black, who is rumored to be the character Benicio del Toro is playing. In the scene, he's firing on a “procession of mourners” in a city, while Poe, Finn, BB-8, and new character played by Kelly Marie Tran are watching in shock.

Then apparently Captain Phasma shows up ordering a team of stormtroopers to "Find them!"

A non-CGI version of Snoke is also supposed to appear in the trailer when he steps out of the shadows after we hear General Leia say, "Their shadow is growing."

Snoke reportedly asks Hux “Is he alive?” and then Hux replies, “Barely, Supreme Leader.” Snoke then says, “Good, it’s time for a family reunion.” Revealing Snoke in the first trailer would be awesome!

That last bit of dialogue is the hardest thing for me swallow because it's so cheesy. I just don't see Johnson writing that kind of dialogue for Star Wars.

There's also a scene in which Finn bursts into a meeting with General Leia, and he says to her “They’re back,” which is followed by Leia replying with, “I felt it.” The Millennium Falcon comes flying out from under the waves of a sea and into the sky.

Luke Skywalker isn't shown in the trailer,  but according to the report, we do hear him say, “Everything will die with us.”

A lot more details of what's going on in the trailer are discussed in the video below. I just wanted to highlight some of the bigger and cooler aspects of what was revealed.

It seems like there are going to be a lot of quick shots teasing the fans but not offering any answers, which makes sense for a first trailer for a Star Wars movie like The Last Jedi

Again, this is all rumored information. Nothing has been confirmed, and take it all with a hefty grain of sith salt. Just thought it was something you might want to check out and discuss. Watch the video breakdown below. Check it out and tell us what you think!

The Role of R2-D2 Has Been Filled by Jimmy Vee in STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI

0
0

Kenny Baker played R2-D2 in every Star Wars film since 1977. In August of last year, the actor passed away at the age of 81, and he needed to be replaced by someone for Star Wars: The Last Jedi. That someone happens to be Jimmy Vee, who worked alongside Baker as R2 in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Vee revealed the news in a statement he released in which he said:

“It’s been an absolute pleasure to have worked alongside the legendary Kenny Baker. Kenny was a fantastic actor and taught me all the ‘tricks’ on how he brought R2-D2 to life which I will continue to portray in his honor. I’m so excited to be a part of the Star Wars universe and can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve been working so hard on for the last year.”

It seems like Vee is an honorable replacement for Baker. He has also appeared in several episodes of Doctor Who as a variety of creatures. Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to be released on December 15th!

Thor Fights a Zombie-Like Creature in New BTS Photo From THOR: RAGNAROK

thor-fights-a-zombie-like-creature-in-new-bts-photo-from-thor-ragnarok1

A couple new official photos from the set of Thor: Ragnarok have been released. One of them shows director Taika Waititi setting up a shot. The other photo is a cool one featuring Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in the middle of a fight with a zombie-like creature. It looks like a Thor-Walking Dead mashup! It's got to be a creature from Hela's underworld realm of Hel, which is a place I assumed Thor would eventually have to visit at some point in the story. Or maybe he's fighting the zombie in Asgard! Either way, it's gotta be from Hel.

Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth) finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor's quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela (Cate Blanchett) from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.

Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released on November 3rd.

Thanos' Master Plan in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Has Been Revealed

0
0

We've already been told that Thanos (Josh Brolin) is considered the main character in Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers: Infinity War. We now know what his whole master plan is, the one goal he has in mind that sets him on his journey!

There are some major differences in his reasoning than what's in the comics. The whole reason behind his universal destruction in the comics was to win over Death so that he could court her affection.

In one of the Doctor Strange special features, co-writer Stephen McFeely talked about Infinity War and described Thanos' ultimate goal as this:

"His goal is to rebalance the universe as he sees it. So when he figures out that the Infinity Stones could do this for him at the snap of a finger, that becomes his main goal."

We can only speculate as to what "rebalancing the universe" means, but it definitely doesn't sound to me like he's pursuing Death. Maybe he sees it as a cleansing of all of the superheroes who are rising in the universe. I have no idea.

It's not really that surprising that Marvel is switching some things up with Thanos' motivation behind wiping our half of the universe. They've made big changes to every storyline that they've used from the comics.

The main story for Infinity War will most likely follow Thanos as he goes from one place to another collecting the Infinity Stones, and once he has them he's going to unleash holy hell in the MCU that will spill over into the fourth Avengers film that has yet to be titled.

We'll get to see Thanos in action in Avengers: Infinity War hits on May 4th, 2018.
