I've got a cool collection of movie poster fan art for you to check out created by Jeremy Pailler. I really like the style that he's come up with for the series as each piece has a unique flare. When talking about his art style, Pailler said:

"I work on atmospheric alternative movie posters, made with ink on paper and exhibited at Gallery 1988 and Madduckposters.com. I create dark and poetic images conducted by strong narrative arcs."

The poster art below feature films and TV shows such as Back to the Future, The Fly, Stranger Things, Six Feet Under, Labyrinth, From Dusk Till Dawn, Re-Animator, Vertigo, and more.

This 8-inch tall statue of Boba Fett bringing Jabba the Hutt a gift-wrapped Han Solo in Carbonite is the perfect Star Wars holiday decoration. Fett's got his deadly candy cane gun, a bow on his head, and everything!

Boba Fett has arrived this holiday season, and he's packing an extra special gift for Jabba! It's classic Fett with a few holiday twists, such as a thermal detonator ornament at his feet, a candy cane blaster, and a big red bow around his captured bounty. That's sure to make Jabba say "Ho ho ho!" (But really, what doesn't get Jabba to say that?)

Measuring about 8 inches tall, this resin tablepiece is a tongue-in-cheek nod to the end of The Empire Strikes Back that you can sneak into your family's Christmas display. Nothing says "Happy Holidays!" like getting a Christmas bonus for turning in such a notorious bounty as Han Solo!

If you want to buy yourself one, it'll cost you $39.99 over at ThinkGeek.

The Evolution of Movie Stunts Performed by Professional Stuntman in Video

Stunt work in movies has got to be one of the most fun and exhilarating jobs in the film business. I've got an awesome video for you to watch today that's dedicated to the craft of stunt performers. It takes us through the evolution of stunts in film, and it features British Damien Walters, who is a freerunner, former gymnast, and stunt performer who worked on films such as Kick-AssCaptain America: The First AvengerKingsman: The Secret Service, and the upcoming film Assassin’s Creed.

The video is presented to us in a spectacular way, and I think you're really going to enjoy how it all comes together. The question is, "How many famous movie stunts can you spot in this two-and-a-half minutes of mayhem?"

Eddie Murphy's Lost Role in STAR TREK IV: THE VOYAGE HOME Revealed

I really enjoyed the Leonard Nimoy-directed film Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and it did really well at the box office. Regardless of how much people liked the movie, there was apparently a lot of behind-the-scenes drama in getting it to the big screen. It's hard to believe that it's been 30 years since that movie was released.

The story centers around Kirk, Spock, and their crew traveling back in time to 1986 on a mission to retrieve two humpback whales and bring them to the 23rd century to save the Earth from an alien probe.

During a recent interview with THR, screenwriter Steve Meerson opened up about the development of the film and revealed that Eddie Murphy originally had a role in it. He said:

"They knew they wanted to make a movie that would make a statement about the environment. They knew that they wanted it to include whales. They had a notion that time travel might enter into it. But it's basically all they had."

He and his screenwriting partner Peter Krikes wrote around seven to ten drafts of the script, and the final one that got approval included a role for Murphy that never never happened.

"It was always the same story that got approved, but the original draft included a part for Eddie Murphy. Eddie was on the lot at Paramount at the time and arguably was the biggest star in the world. They had told us he was a huge Star Trek fan."

It was then revealed that Murphy was going to play an astrophysicist at Berkeley, and that the original story did not include Dr. Gillian Taylor, who was played by Catherine Hicks. She was the marine biologist and love interest for Kirk. She replaced Murphy when his deal fell apart.

"At the beginning of the process, it was actually a lot of fun. As the process progressed, it became less fun, because it became more political. And I don't say that with any bitterness. It's just the way things work in all businesses. We began to feel like at a certain point that this was going to be taken away from us, which in fact, it was."

It would have been really interesting to see Muphy in the movie. I was a huge fan of Murphy and his earlier work, and I can't help but think he would have made a great addition to the film. It's a shame they couldn't work it out.

STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE Gets a Cool VALERIAN-Style Trailer

I've got a great new fan trailer for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that was made in the style of the trailer that was released for Luc Besson's crazy cool-looking sci-fi film Valerian. It was created by Darth Blender, and he basically took footage from Rogue One and cut it to The Beatles song "Because," which was used in the Valerian trailer, along with some of the dialogue.

Time-traveling agents of The Rebellion are sent to steal the plans to the Death Star in an epic intergalactic battle. Do not miss this mashup with two of the most antecipated movies of a generation! This is "Valerian One".

Creepy Ghostly Sounds Captured in Abandoned Mine During a Flashlight Review

What would you do if you were exploring deep in an old abandoned mine and you started hearing strange voices? I'd probably be scared to death and go into panic mode, but the guy in this video seems to keep his cool when he starts to hear strange sounds in the mine in which he is doing a flashlight review. The video comes from Exploring Abandoned Mines, and this is the note that came along with the video:

Disturbing, strange sounds. That's exactly what I caught on video while filming and documenting the abandoned Waldeck Mine using the ThruNite TN12 flashlight. The Waldeck Mine is an abandoned gold mine located deep in a forested canyon in the high country. I went there on a stormy night in order to document the mine while reviewing and demonstrating ThruNite's excellent TN12 handheld flashlight. The abandoned mine itself is over 150 years old and still has a lot of awesome yet dangerous timbering in its furthest reaches. There are upper levels in the Waldeck Mine, but I only explored and documented the main haulage tunnel.

I'm fascinated by this kind of stuff, and my brothers and I have gone exploring in old ghost towns, mines, haunted locations, and other kinds of creepy cool places. The ghostly sounds in the video below start around the 12:10 mark, and you can clearly hear it. At first he thinks it's the wind, but then it happens again a bit more clearly, and clearly it's not the wind. Check it out and tell us what you think!

It looks like director James Gunn managed to once again capture that radical magic that made the first film so fun and successful.

stylishly-cute-coat-inspired-by-studio-ghiblis-my-neighbor-totoro

Hot Topic has teamed up with Studio Ghibli to create this stylish and cute coat based on the classic animated film My Neighbor Totoro. I've seen a few Totoro coats and hoodies pop up over the years, but this is definitely the best one I've seen.

Totoro may be able to get by taking shelter underneath a leaf, but the rest of us need a little bit more than that. This grey coat captures the magic of the spirit of the forest, along with his adorableness to keep you warm. This button front closure coat features fluffy white collar and cuff details, remiscent of Totoro's fluffy belly. The sleeves have an embroidered Totoro detail. It's perfect for those long evenings waiting for the Catbus.

If you want to buy one of these for yourself, click here. It costs $59.49 at the moment.

Robert Zemeckis Offers Details on His ROGER RABBIT Sequel and Explains Why It Won't Happen

Robert Zemeckis has been talking about making a sequel to Who Framed Roger Rabbit? for years. It's something that he wants to do, and it's something that fans would love to see, but in a recent interview with The Telegraph, he explains why it probably isn't going to happen.

Zemeckis says that the script for the film is “magnificent,” and says that it's “more a continuation than a sequel.” According to the filmmaker, the story follows Roger and Jessica Rabbit “into the next few years of period film, moving on from film noir to the world of the 1950s.” The sequel also included the ghost of Eddie Valiant, who was wonderfully portrayed by the late Bob Hoskins in the original film. The plan was to use a CGI digital version of Hoskins.

So why isn't this movie happening!? Because Disney controls the property, and Zemeckis says that “the current corporate Disney culture has no interest in Roger, and they certainly don’t like Jessica at all.” Yeah, Disney doesn't really need another Roger Rabbit film, especially with all their live-action Disney remakes, Star Wars films, and their Marvel superhero properties.

He goes on to talk about the difficulties of making the sequel if Disney did one day decide to green light it:

“Most sequels, you’re behind the eight-ball on them. When audiences clamor for a sequel, what they’re really doing is expressing their enthusiasm for the movie they just saw. And that means they’ll have a love-hate relationship with whatever comes next because they want it to be the same movie, but different. If it’s too similar, they don’t like it. And if it’s too different, they really don’t like it. There’s nothing more difficult.”

Fact of the matter is, Disney isn't interested in a Roger Rabbit sequel, so we won't see it happen. It's kind of a shame because I'd love to see Zemeckis' idea for it brought to life! At least we'll always have the original to enjoy.

If you're a fan of Marvel's Squirrel Girl, you'll undoubtedly love this new Bishoujo statue from Kotobukiya. It's absolutely adorable! The statue is 1/7 scale statue and stands at 5.5″ tall, and it comes with a leaf themed statue base. The Squirrel Girl statue is scheduled for release in May 2017 and below you will find all of the details and more photos.

A Kotobukiya Japanese import! Kotobukiya’s beloved line of Bishoujo Statues bringing you new interpretations of familiar Marvel Comics superheroes and villains continues with one of the wackiest characters in comics, Squirrel Girl! Doreen Green first appeared on the scene in 1992, tracking down Iron Man to impress him with her abilities in an attempt to become his sidekick. As Squirrel Girl she has a big, bushy tail, heightened agility and fighting prowess, and of course her signature ability to communicate with squirrels!

This Great Lakes Avenger’s iconic look and hilarious stories have made Green a very popular character, and now you can bring her home as a fantastic Bishoujo Statue based on a new character interpretation and illustration by Shunya Yamashita!

Doreen celebrates her squirrel love as she takes a break from her GLA duties to hang out with one of her best friends: Tippy-Toe. The unique heroine kneels on the ground in a super cute pose, resting on her knees and her toes underneath her. Squirrel Girl holds her tiny companion on her outstretched hand so she can gaze into the animal’s eyes, and of course behind her is her massive squirrel-like tail! Her distinctive costume is in full effect with olive tights, fur-lined dark brown boots and a tan one-piece outfit, a utility belt with pouches, and a short leather jacket. Squirrel Girl also wears an adorable headband outfitted with squirrel ears and acorn earrings while Tippy-Toe has her own accessory, a pink ribbon around her neck! Every aspect of this Bishoujo presentation is intricately sculpted and detailed from clothing elements to fur and hair and of course Squirrel Girl’s silly buck-toothed expression.

Squirrel Girl is just under 5 ½ inches tall (1/7 scale) kneeling on a specially designed leaf-themed display base. With her adorable Bishoujo styled face and beautiful paint work Squirrel Girl is an Unbeatable addition to your collection!

The Squirrel Girl Bishoujo Statue will cost you $74.99, and if you want to buy one just click here.

Disney has released an international trailer for Rob Marshall's highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. It doesn't look like it features any new footage, it's just cut together in a different way. The movie looks great, and I have a feeling that it's going to end up being an astronomical hit for Disney.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is a live-action adaptation of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

The movie also stars Luke Evans as Gaston, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Kevin Kline as Maurice, and Josh Gad as Le Fou.

Beauty and the Beast hits theaters on March 17, 2017.
