Miles Teller Looks Surprisingly Tough in Trailer For BLEED FOR THIS

$

Prior to seeing this, if you were to tell me someone was putting Miles Teller in a sports film where he portrays a boxer, I'd tell them they need to recast. Don't get me wrong — Teller is a great actor, but there's nothing about him I ever thought said "tough guy."

But after seeing him in the trailer for Bleed For This, I've changed my mind. He looks tough as nails!

The story follows the real life of boxer Vinny Pazienza and his fights for the middleweight title. After fracturing his neck in a car accident, Pazienza refused to fuse his neck and risked never walking again, because doing so meant he could never fight. His recovery, struggle, and comeback are all captured in this film, which looks like it'll be awesome! Judging from the trailer and Miles Teller, I think it will be. The film also features stars like Katey Sagal and Aaron Eckhart. Look out for it November 4!

Thanks to Sports Illustrated, who initially premiered the trailer.

Nicolas Winding Refn Pitched Warner Bros. a WONDER WOMAN Movie Starring Christina Hendricks

When Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy came out, I'd often see stories about other possible Batman movies that were pitched between Batman & Robin and Batman Begins that never quite took hold or were rejected for various reasons. As we approach the upcoming release of the solo Wonder Woman movie next year, I'm sure we'll start to see stories like that pop up too — especially since the character hasn't received her own live-action solo film in her 75 year history. Joss Whedon famously pitched Warner Bros. his take on a movie about the Amazonian princess, and now it's been confirmed that five years ago, around the time Drive came out, director Nicolas Winding Refn also officially spoke with the studio about an idea for a Wonder Woman movie.

At the time, it was unclear if Refn was just speculating or answering off the cuff about a movie he'd like to direct one day, but on the Happy Sad Confused podcast to promote his new movie The Neon Demon, the director spoke about his would-be version of the film:

At one point, [Warner Bros.] did come to me in a very early conversation. I was like, "I love Wonder Woman, but I would only do it with Christina Hendricks."

Apparently the WB people didn't take to that particular idea, and obviously five years later they finally got their act together and cast Gal Gadot in a Wonder Woman solo film directed by Patty Jenkins. As much as I like Hendricks and I'm curious about what Refn's vision for the character would have been, I think it's important that the first incarnation of a live-action solo Wonder Woman movie comes from a woman's perspective because the character has been such an inspiring figure and has meant so much to women over the years. Once we get two or three films in, sure — I can imagine a male director putting his spin on it. But right now, it just feels right to have a Wonder Woman movie being directed by a woman. I'd say the same thing applies to Batgirl, which Refn is (jokingly?) trying to get off the ground at WB now.

35 Coolest and Weirdest Retro Cereal Prizes From The '70s, '80s, and '90s

Like many of you, I grew up in a time when cereal companies would put actual prizes in cereal boxes. I used to love buying cereal with prizes and I remember going home and digging through the box so that I could get my hands on it! It’s sad that kids these days will never know the awesomeness of that experience! Now they provide you with a code that you have to input on a web site just to enter to get the prize, and most of the time it’s not even guaranteed. I guess it's easier than some of the toys you had to mail in for back in the day!

I was telling my kids about the prizes I used to get recently and it fascinated them. So I started searching online to see if I could find some of the things I remember getting from cereal boxes when I was growing up. It was a nostalgic explosion for me and I thought I had to share some of these things with you to help bring back those wonderful memories from a simpler time.

There are so many cereal prizes out there, and you'll find 35 of them on this list. I know I may have missed some that you might remember, and if that's the case, let me know in the comments below! I also included some retro commercials for some of these cereals.

Darkwing Duck Fanny Pack

You gotta love the era of fanny packs! As a fan of Darkwing Duck, I wore this with pride.

Baking Powder Submarine

I remember spending a lot of time playing with this little baking soda submarine. I was fascinated by how it would sink and rise.

Ghost Detector

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes1

This was a fun collection of stickers and I had several of them plastered around my room. I've always been a fan of horror, so having a ghost detector as a kid was awesome!

Glow-in-the-Dark Creeping Monster

Anything that had to do with monsters was cool! The fact that they glowed in the dark made them even better! Did you ever eat your breakfast in the dark?

StarBots

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes4

These were the cheapest Transformers and GoBots ripoffs you could get! They were fun to play with, though!

Crazy Chain

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes6

Can't say I ever had Rainbow Bright cereal, but I'm sure there are a lot of people out there with fond memories.

Rainbow Brite cereal & toys Heather O'Rourke 1983 by Retrontario

Wyatt Earp Peacemaker

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes8

When I was a kid, I loved playing with toy guns! I spent a lot of time with friends hunting each other down and having gun fights. We'll never see a gun on a cereal box ever again.

Glow-in-the-Dark Circus Acrobat

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes8

These things were just wacky and weird and reminded me of Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Batman Periscope

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes9

How could any kid live without the Batman periscope?! It was the perfect tool for spying on people.

Gumballs

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes10

The perfect way to top off a bowl of cereal in the morning was by shoving a bunch of gumballs into your mouth before school. That was me.

Glow-in-the-Dark Monster Posters

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes11

I've been a fan of the Universal Monsters since I was really young, and these glow in the dark posters would have been awesome to own!

Nintendo Magic-Motion Card

I was such a huge Nintendo geek, I had my parents buy the Dinersaurs cereal as a kid just so I could collect them...but then I lost them. Link was the best, though.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mask

The only Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles costume you ever needed as a kid! I did enter to win the complete set of toys, but I never won. Bastards.

Bigfoot Stickers

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes17

Because every kid growing up wanted Bigfoot stickers! And like most cereal prizes, it also glowed in the dark.

Cap'n Crunch Bo'sun Whistle

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes18

This was the perfect cereal prize for kids to annoy their parents and piss them off. These were made back in the day when parents spanked their kids a lot, so blowing this whistle excessively was just asking for a spanking.

Mr. T Stickers

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes19

Mr. T cereal was the greatest. THE GREATEST! The Mr T. stickers were just a cool bonus.

Cosmiclouder

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes199

It shoots a white "Cosmic Cloud"! There's nothing safer than shooting a cloud at someone.

Batman Bank

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes20

My uncle still has an unopened box of Batman cereal with the bank like the picture above in his cupboard. I don't think he plans on eating it.

Cap'n Crunch Crunchbot

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes21

Kids loved robots, so why not make one to attack the “soggies” that attacked your cereal?

MLB Temporary Tattoos

When I was a kid, I loved basball! That's something I grew out of over time when it just started to bore me. I sure did enjoy plastering these tattoos on my arms when I was growing up, though.

Honeycomb Watch

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes22

I have no idea why, but I wore this watch with pride! Maybe because orange is my favorite color.

Monster in My Pocket

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes23

I was already collecting Monster in My Pocket figures, so getting them for free in a cereal box was fantastic!

Ghostbusters II Record

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes24

This was such a strange and cool thing. It included details about entertaining to become an honorary Ghostbuster and win a trip to the Hollywood set and meet a Ghostbuster.

Frekkies

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes26

Monsters were big with kids back in the day, weren't they? We need more monster cereal prizes these days.

Spooky Speedsters

Count Chocula, Boo Berry, and Frankenberry have always known how to party, and what kids didn't like toy cars?!

DC Superhero Iron-On

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes29

I was more of a tattoo kind of kid growing up, but DC superhero iron-on patches were cool. They just never stayed on the clothes you ironed them on to.

Monster Disguise Stickers

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes30

Stickers that transform your face into a creepy-ass monster!? Hell yeah! Sure, they would only last so long, but I can see the fun in it.

Dollar Bill

I actually remember pulling a wrapped dollar bill out of a Cheerios box once. There's nothing better as a kid than pulling money out of a cereal box.

Color Changing Dinosaurs

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes36

What's better than regular dinosaurs? Dinosaurs that changed color when you put them in cold water!

Disney Glass Pals

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes37

As a huge fan of Disney cartoons, I thought these silly things were the coolest things.

Nestle Quik Chocolate Milk

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes37

I've been a lover of chocolate milk ever since I first tasted it.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Bowl

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes399

I don't know, eating a bowl of cereal with that insanely creepy Ninja Turtle face smiling back at you just seems uncomfortable.

Addams Family Flashlight

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes40

These were the perfect creepy flashlights to protect us from the creepy monsters that lurked in our dark rooms at night.

Win, Lose or Draw

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes41

It's such a simple thing, but I spent so much time drawing pictures on this.

Nintendo Mario Maze

the-20-coolest-retro-cereal-box-prizes44

This handheld game kept kids distracted playing it as their cereal got soggy.

Dinosaur Spoon

I think I ended up played with my food with this dinosaur spoon rather than eating what I was supposed to.

BLUE EXORCIST Returning To Television With Anime Set For 2017

In 2017, Blue Exorcist will be coming to television once again with a new anime. Crunchyroll tells us the new series will specifically cover the Kyoto Impure King Arc. The 18 chapter saga that appeared in the manga was not previously covered by the first Blue Exorcist anime, which only depicted events prior to that.

For the uninitiated, Blue Exorcist follows two brothers. One is the spawn of Satan and inheritor of his powers, and the other is his twin brother. The two seek vengeance against their biological father for killing their guardian. It gets more complicated, but that's the gist.

I'm excited to hear about this! At the very least, it gives me an excuse to go and binge the original series on Netflix! I'm wondering if Toonami will pick this one up like they did the first?

Humor: THE FANTASTIC FOUR Face Their Greatest Villain

$

The truth is so real in this Dorkly video, it hurts. Watch the video and read on below:

When I was a kid and I read their comics, I thought The Fantastic Four were the coolest heroes around! Now, thanks to three awful films, I groan when I see anything involving them. To be fair, they are a pretty bland hero team in the scheme of the Marvel Universe. Every one of them has a much stronger version of them outside of the team that could likely get the job done better and faster!

Now I've talked myself into thinking I just thought they were cool because I didn't know a lot about superheroes when I was younger. I need the community opinion. Does the Fantastic Four get a bad rep because they've had bad films, or because they're lame?

Rumor: Lucasfilm's HAN SOLO Script is The Best STAR WARS Script Ever

$
0
0

We all want Lucasfilm's Han Solo movie to be awesome, and the company seems to be doing everything in its power to make that come true. They hired Phil Lord and Chris Miller to direct it, they brought on Lawrence Kasdan (The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens) and his son Jon to write it, and cast Alden Ehrenreich to star. Well, if this new rumor has any truth to it, an early draft of the script is the best screenplay of any of the Star Wars movies.

io9 points us to a report from StarWarsNewsNet in which they received a tip from one of their readers about Star Wars concept artist Iain McCaig talking about the new movie at a conference in New Zealand. McCaig apparently said that Lawrence Kasdan wrote an early draft of the Han Solo screenplay before he was hired to co-write The Force Awakens, and that seems to be the draft he describes here (paraphrased from an attendee in the crowd):

"By far the best Star Wars script, and one of the best scripts period, that I have ever read. I laughed, I cried, I did all the things you should do when reading a good script. You’re in for a treat."

Now look, there's a chance this entire quote is completely fabricated. This is the first I'm hearing about Kasdan writing the Solo script before his work began on The Force Awakens, so I'm not even sure the timeline works here. I want to be completely clear that we are not "reporting" this as fact. But since we're so far away from the new movie and haven't heard much about it since that casting news came out, let's give this the benefit of the doubt for now and assume it's true. Kasdan obviously knows the character very well, and let's not forget this is the man who wrote Raiders of the Lost Ark, for God's sake — it's not impossible that he wrote one of the best scripts that McCaig has ever read. If this is true, it's a great sign for the new movie because this was apparently a reaction to an early draft, theoretically before Jon or the directors had any input into the process. In a perfect world, this great draft would continue to improve as they refine the screenplay heading into the shoot that starts in January.

I'd love for this to be true, partially to keep Lord and Miller's streak of turning bad ideas into great movies alive, and partially because I simply want to see a great Han Solo movie. What do you think?

See What A Real Life NIGHTCRAWLER Actually Does For News Stations

When I saw the movie NightcrawlerI kept thinking to myself "no way is this real." I've worked for a TV news station before, and while there were reporters and cameramen who were ready to run out to events during news time, we never had freelancers who we paid for morbid footage of crime scenes and what not.

Turns out, in larger cities there's an actual market for these exact people, and while the guy featured in Vice's video isn't as crazy as Jake Gyllenhaal is in the film, it's still pretty crazy to see his livelihood is based on the tragedy of others. Initially, you may think he's a bottom feeder for profiting off that, but check out the video. I think you'll be surprised the amount of heart a guy in that profession can have.

GHOSTHEADS Documentary Trailer Showcases The Good Side of GHOSTBUSTERS Fandom

As evidenced by the extreme reactions to the new Ghostbusters movie, it turns out people are extraordinarily passionate about that franchise. And while a lot of those reactions have seemingly opened a gateway of the worst corners of the internet to spew their hatred alongside average people who simply don't think the movie looks that great, Ghostheads is a new documentary that showcases the altruistic side of Ghostbusters fandom.

The doc hits Netflix on July 15, the same day Paul Feig's new movie arrives in theaters.

GHOSTHEADS looks back at the impact the Ghostbusters franchise has had on fans over the past three decades. Through interviews with key cast and crew, including Dan Aykroyd, Ivan Reitman, Ernie Hudson, Paul Feig, and many more, as well as with the Ghostbusters fan community from across the globe, Ghostheads presents countless humanizing stories about overcoming obstacles, comradery, and the idea that no one should ever feel alone or isolated. From Tom Gebhardt, a young man from New Jersey who’s built his own Ecto-1 and feels most like himself when in uniform, to a woman who won her battle with addicition by focusing her energy on building props from the films, to Peter Mosen, the “Original Ghostbusters Fan,” who’s been dressing up like Ray Stantz since the first film’s release, and whose passion landed him a small part in the sequel. Ghostbusters has impacted many lives over the past 30 some-odd years, and these are some of the fans who continue to carry the torch of the franchise’s positive messaging, all over the world.

A Real Life Guy Actually Voiced AOL's Famous "You've Got Mail"

For years, I thought the voice telling me I had new e-mail was a computer talking to me! Now Great Big Story tells me that Elwood Edwards was a professional voice actor whose wife worked for the company that would become America Online. Talk about a lucky break — or so you would think. Edwards was never able to find work (outside of an appearance on The Simpsons) after doing the lines heard by around 30+ million people every day in the '90s. Hear his story below.

AMC's PREACHER Series Renewed For Season 2

ComingSoon reports that AMC has renewed its comic book adaptation Preacher for a second season. That's great news for those of us who have been tuning in thus far, and especially great news for those of us who read the comic series and have been patiently waiting for the show to start touching on some of those plotlines. Creators Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and Sam Catlin opted to use the first season as a quasi-origin story for the characters to ease audiences into the weirdness and insanity of the comic storyline, and that approach has made some fans (myself included) slightly impatient with the show so far.

I'm glad the network is giving the show time to grow and hopefully reach the good stuff that should be coming in season 2. It'd have been a shame if AMC canceled it after only one season, because with as long as it took for this property to finally make the jump from the page to the screen, this may end up being the only live-action adaptation of Preacher fans ever see.

“‘Preacher’ is a special television program and we’re eager to share with fans the rest of this wild first season and, now, an expanded second season,” said Charlie Collier, president of AMC, SundanceTV and AMC Studios. “What Sam, Seth, Evan and the entire creative team have achieved in bringing Garth Ennis’ graphic novel to the screen is extraordinary. We look forward to more time with these unforgettable characters be it in Heaven, Hell, Texas or beyond.”

If you missed the first five episodes of the series so far, AMC will be re-airing them starting tomorrow night (Thursday, June 30, 2016) at 9pm.

Yippee Ki-Yay, Check Out This DIE HARD Fan Art

We're in the middle of the summer movie season right now, and the sweltering heat makes the chill of winter seem like a lifetime away. But we're only a couple of days from July, and if you subscribe to celebrating that whole "Christmas in July" thing, these two pieces of Die Hard fan art from artist Chris Weston (via Xombiedirge) seem like a nice teaser for the Christmas classic that you should definitely be watching next month.

Both prominently feature McClane's vulnerable, shoeless state thanks to Hans Gruber's decision to "shoot the glass" (best to imagine that line in Alan Rickman's voice), and even though these are still images, there's a nice sense of propulsive movement to both of these pieces that's fitting for an action movie that moves at such a rapid-fire pace.

Tom Hanks is The Captain Now in Clint Eastwood's SULLY Trailer

Earlier today, I wrote about how Captain Phillips' Oscar nominee Barkhad Abdi has joined the cast of Blade Runner 2, and it looks like today is a big day for the actors in that particular film: Abdi's co-star, a little-known actor by the name of Tom Hanks, is playing Captain "Sully" Sullenberger in a new film by Clint Eastwood called Sully, and that movie's first trailer has just landed. Though it does seem to share a bit of DNA with Robert Zemeckis' own plane movie, Flight, this one thankfully looks better than Eastwood's recent directorial efforts. Check it out below and let us know what you think.

Sully hits theaters on September 9, 2016.

On January 15, 2009, the world witnessed the “Miracle on the Hudson” when Captain “Sully” Sullenberger glided his disabled plane onto the frigid waters of the Hudson River, saving the lives of all 155 aboard. However, even as Sully was being heralded by the public and the media for his unprecedented feat of aviation skill, an investigation was unfolding that threatened to destroy his reputation and his career.

“Sully” also stars Aaron Eckhart (“Olympus Has Fallen,” “The Dark Knight”) as Sully’s co-pilot, Jeff Skiles, and Oscar nominee Laura Linney (“The Savages,” “Kinsey,” Showtime’s “The Big C”) as Sully’s wife, Lorraine Sullenberger.

THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE Will Be a “90-Minute Easter Egg” of Batman Greatness

As a fan of how Batman was portrayed in The LEGO Movie, I'm looking forward to seeing his spinoff The LEGO Batman Movie. The stuff that I've seen for it so far has been absolutely hilarious, and I think that it has the potential to be even better than The LEGO Movie.

The movie is being directed by Chris McKay, but Phil Lord and Chris Miller are still producers on the project and helping steer it in the right direction. During a recent interview with Collider, Lord and Miller expressed their excitement for the film and how thrilled they are with how the project is coming along. Miller praised McKay's Batman fandom saying:

"Chris McKay, the director of the movie, is a real Batman aficionado and knows really arcane stuff that was only in one issue of the comic book in 1972, and that sort of thing."

Lord added the McKay is so hardcore that "he has a very large Catwoman tattoo on his forearm." It's good to know that they've got such a big fan bringing this movie to life. Because they do have someone who's so knowledgeable about the character, you can expect to see lots of Easter eggs. In fact, Miller described the film as one big Easter egg:

"So, it is chock full of stuff for Batman aficionados. It is just a 90-minute Easter egg."

Lord added that it heavily honors the comics and reveals that it "covers all the way through to Batman v Superman" and "all the way through and to the future."

Will Arnett is reprising his role as Batman, and he will be joined by Zach Galifianakis (Joker), Ralph Fiennes (Alfred), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl), Michael Cera (Robin), and Mariah Carey (Mayor Grange). In case you missed the trailer for the film, make sure to click here to check it out!

Review: THE BFG Brings Back That Classic Spielberg Movie Magic

$

review-the-bfg-brings-back-that-classic-spielberg-movie-magic

With The BFG, director Steven Spielberg has once again delivered a movie full of magic, humor, and wonder. It's been a long time since we've seen a movie from Spielberg that has fantasy elements in it, and I was really curious to see if he would be able to deliver a film full of that classic Spielberg movie magic that a lot of us grew up on, and I thought he did just that.

The BFG might not be as amazing as some of his earlier films like E.T., Jaws, Raiders of the Ark and others, but it's a wonderfully charming and magical film that absolutely entertained me! After the film's premiere at Cannes it was met with a slew of bad and mediocre reviews. But that's just a bunch of movie snobs being way too critical of a fantastical adventure film that is an absolute joy to watch.

The film may have this sweeping epic magical feel to it, but in reality, this is a small movie with a simple story that involves two lovable characters. The story focuses on the relationship of a young orphan girl named Sophie played by Ruby Barnhill, who was stunning in the lead role, and a giant who goes by the name of BFG played by Mark Rylance, who gave an Oscar-worthy performance. This isn't a mean giant, it's not a giant who eats children. No, this is a giant who has a soft heart and one who can see all the good in the world. It has a very E.T. kind of vibe to it as it focus on a young child who befriends a strange creature.

These two characters perfectly propel the story forward, and their relationship is captivating. Watching these two characters interacting with each other, learning about each other, and spending time together is one of the sweetest and most enjoyable things I've seen in a long time from Spielberg. The BFG especially, I just had a smile plastered on my face through most of the movie because he was so fun and whimsical.

A lot of people I've talked to have been worried about the visual and CGI effects in the film, but I thought Weta did an incredible job helping bring this story and characters to life, especially with The BFG. His character design was brilliant, and you see the soul of the actor behind the eyes. That was Mark Rylance and his performance explodes through the character. For me it didn't feel like I was watching a CGI character, I was watching the actor play that character. Every frame of this film is a beautiful piece of art that has to be seen on the big screen.

As you may already know, the film is based on the children's book written by Roald Dahl, and if you're a fan you'll be happy to know that the film completely honors its spirit. I don't think anyone could have asked for a better adaptation. I honestly don't see how anyone who enjoyed the book wouldn't enjoy this movie. Even if you're not familiar with the book, I think there's a good chance you'll be entertained by it.

There's one scene in the film that had me laughing hysterically, and it involves Sophie, The BFG, the Queen of England, and farting. If you've read the book, then you know what I'm talking about, but this had the audience rolling with laughter.

If you're looking for an entertaining and fun film to take the whole family to, The BFG should be at the top of your list. It's got a little bit of everything that we love about the movies — aqdventure, action, drama, and comedy. It's the must see family movie of the summer!

LOST IN SPACE Remake Series Officially Ordered by Netflix

$

Last year we learned that Legendary TV was remaking the classic 1965 sci-fi series Lost in Space. Netflix came on board to produce the series, and now we've learned that the streaming service has ordered 10 episodes.

The new Lost In Space reboot is described as an “epic but grounded science fiction saga focusing on a young explorer family from earth lost in an alien universe and the challenges they face in staying together against seemingly insurmountable odds.”

Netflix has been putting out some high-quality shows, so there's a good chance that reboot could end up being a solid, well-made series. It's got all the elements of a great series, so hopefully, they don't screw it up.

The original 1965 series was set 30 years into the future (1997), and the story revolved around an attempt by the U.S. to colonize deep space by sending a single family, the Robinsons, on a 5 1/2-year journey to another planet. But a foreign secret agent, Dr. Zachary Smith, sabotaged the mission, causing the ship to veer off course and become lost in space. It ran for three seasons on CBS, and there are a total of 83 episodes.

Neil Marshall (The Descent) is producing the series and is also expected to direct. It is being written by Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless, who most recently worked on Dracula Untold.

Lost in Space is expected to premiere sometime in 2018.

Vinnie Jones Reunites with Matthew Vaughn for KINGSMAN: THE GOLDEN CIRCLE

Vinnie Jones has joined the cast of Matthew Vaughn's highly anticipated sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and some photos of him on the set of the film have surfaced, which you can see below.

Jones is a freakin' badass actor who has been underutilized in movies. He got his big break in Guy Ritchie's classic Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels, which was produced by Vaughn, so this is an awesome reunion of sorts. As you'll see, Jones is looking very slick and stylish. There's no information on who he's playing, but there's no doubt he's going to be great in whatever role he is in. Unfortunately, I don't imagine it will be a big one. Hopefully, he sees some action, though!

All we know about the plot at this point is that the story involves an attack on Kingsman HQ, and Eggsy and Merlin head to the United States to enlist the help of the Statesman, which is an American spy organization.

Jones joins an incredible cast that also includes Jeff Bridges, Julianne Moore, Hale Berry, Pedro Pascal, Taron Egerton, Mark Strong, Colin Firth, Elton John, and Channing Tatum.

20th Century Fox is planning to release the film on June 16th, 2017.

Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment Is Developing New Kids Film Franchise THE GATES

$

Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment helped shape the childhoods of kids who grew up in the '80s and '90s with films like E.T., Back to the Future, and Jurassic Park. The production company creates a special brand of magical entertainment for kids. They are getting back into action with films like Jurassic World and The BFG, and now they are developing another project called The Gates that could be a whole new family friendly sci-fi franchise.

The project is based on a novel by John Connolly and producer Michael De Luca has hired Blaise Hemingway to adapt the script. The Gates is the first of a trilogy that Amblin acquired last fall. The story follows an 11-year-old boy named Samuel Johnson who teams up with an outcast demon to stop hell on Earth. Here's a full story description from the first book in the series:

Young Samuel Johnson and his dachshund, Boswell, are trying to show initiative by trick-or-treating a full three days before Halloween, which is how they come to witness strange goings-on at 666 Crowley Road. The Abernathys don't mean any harm by their flirtation with the underworld, but when they unknowingly call forth Satan himself, they create a gap in the universe, a gap through which a pair of enormous gates is visible. The gates to Hell. And there are some pretty terrifying beings just itching to get out.... Can one small boy defeat evil? Can he harness the power of science, faith, and love to save the world as we know it?

Bursting with imagination and impossible to put down, The Gates is about the pull between good and evil, physics and fantasy and the courage of a boy who is barely old enough to trick or treat on his own. This novel makes anything seem possible.

The two other novels in the series are titled The Infernals and The Creeps. This sounds like it could make for a great film franchise. A little boy teaming up with a demon to prevent hell on Earth? Count me in! It seems like a story that would fit the Amblin brand perfectly.
