This is absolutely hilarious. Louis CK tells Jerry Seinfeld on Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee about how he regularly goes to IMAX theaters while high when his children aren't with him. What's funny is the ridiculous lengths he goes to in order to make it not terrifying. You'd think he just wouldn't go to the movie high or get a projection screen at home! Either way, great clip.

If you ever visit Los Angeles and you're interested in movies, you should definitely go to Universal Studios and take the tour of the studio backlot. It's a little cheesy (like all studio tours), but it's one of the best ones in town, and there are plenty of great moments along the way. But traveling is expensive, and for those of you who don't have the cash to come visit this summer, here's the next best thing: a video of Steven Spielberg giving EW writer Anthony Breznican (and by extension, all of us) a tour in a golf cart.

Spielberg has major history on that lot. You've probably heard the stories about how he snuck onto the backlot and spent a summer hanging out there when he was a teenager (before studio security reached TSA levels), and he recounts the time he got busted on the set of an Alfred Hitchcock movie. His Amblin offices have been there since the '80s (I had the opportunity to see a movie there once, and it was the coolest screening room I've ever been in). He has plenty of other good stories to tell — including one about the original Orca ship from Jaws — so strap in and enjoy:

If you’re a geek product of the '80s, you’ll appreciate this music video tribute to the classic films of the era. It’s called Mmm mmm 80s (Three Kids) and it comes from YouTuber Bonecage, who edited together footage from The NeverEnding Story, Karate Kid, and The Goonies to a parody song of the Crash Test Dummies. Here’s a note from the creator:

1984-1985 basically shaped my childhood. Freakin' Karate Kid, Goonies, and NeverEnding Story were on repeat for the next 10 years. In an effort to continue my nonstop 80s tributes, here is a parody of Crash Test Dummies about three of my favorite films. Crash Test Dummies is from the 90s, so this doesn't make a ton of sense, but suspend your terrible disbelief.

If you’re a fan of the comedy of Hannibal Buress, you’ll be happy to hear that he’s landed a role in Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming, which just started shooting. Also joining the cast is the wonderfully talented 15-year-old actor Abraham Attah, who starred alongside Idris Elba in Beasts of No Nation and Michael Mando from Better Call Saul.

The actor/comedian joins Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Michael Keaton as the villain, Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, Logan Marshall-Green, Martin Starr, Donald Glover, Zendaya, Tony Revolori, Michael Mando, and Bokeem Woodbine.

There are no details on who exactly these actors will be playing and plot details on the story are being kept under wraps. Well, just have to wait and see how it turns out. However, if you want to read some rumored plot details click here. 

The film was written by Vacation writer/directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. The movie is said to be diverse and have a John Hughes kind of style to it. It will also explore new things that haven’t been exposed in the other films before.

Buress is about to make his splash into film with a few upcoming projects such as The Masterpiece, with Dave and James Franco, which is a movie about the making of what is widely considered the worst film of all time, The Room. He will follow that up with Dwayne Johnson’s reboot of Baywatch, which bows next summer. He also voices one of the characters from Illumination’s The Secret Life of Pets.

Spider-Man: Homecoming is set to hit theaters on July 7, 2017.

When I was growing up, I never sat through the credits of films and these days, the only films that I do sit through the credits of are comic book movies because they usually tease something that’s connected to an upcoming film. Little did I know there are some films that put funny little jokes in their credit sequences.

ScreenRant has released a video listing ten movies that have jokes in the credits and out of all ten of them, the only one I was familiar with was Deadpool because it was so blatantly in your face. Some of the other movies included on the list, though, include Frozen, Airplane, RoboCop, Pulp Fiction, Mallrats, Guardians of the Galaxy, and more. 

These days, you’d be a fool to leave a movie theatre as soon as the credits started to roll, because you’re more than likely to end up missing out on something important or fun if you do. The days when credits were nothing more than a list of the names of the people involved in the making a movie are long gone. Now, audiences are treated to mid-credits scenes and post-credits scenes, as well as interesting messages and funny jokes that are hidden within the credits themselves.Of course, the key word there is “hidden”. Often, it’s hard to spot these fun inclusions with the naked eye – the mass of text included in any given movie’s credits can make it almost impossible to see them – but they’re definitely there and we’re going to show you a selection of the funniest.

Last year when Genndy Tartakovsky was trying to get a new Samurai Jack series off the ground, he said that he wouldn’t be back to direct Hotel Transylvania 3, which was announced by Sony Pictures shortly after the first sequel was released. 

Well, Samurai Jack is coming back and now it looks like the Sony has managed to get Tartakovsky back on board to direct Hotel Transylvania 3. He helmed the first two movies, which both turned out to be wonderfully entertaining films. Tartakovsky has this to say in a statement regarding his return to the franchise:

“I thought I was done exploring the world of Hotel Transylvania after the first two films, but while I was away from the franchise finishing my TV show Samurai Jack, an idea sparked that I got really excited about and made it irresistible to return and helm myself this third adventure.”

So, not only do we only get Samurai Jack back but we also get another Hotel Transylvania from the filmmaker. I think it’s great that he's coming back to make the next film! It wouldn’t be the same without him as he brings such a fun, comedic and heartfelt vibe to the story and characters. Hotel Transylvania shouldn’t keep going without him. 

Adam Sandler, Selena Gomez, and Andy Samberg are all reprising their role of Dracula, his vampire daughter Mavis, and her human husband Johnny in a story that was written by Michael McCullers (Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me).

Spider-Man: Homecoming started shooting earlier this week and we have our first photos from the set. They really aren’t that exciting, but they do give us a look at Tom Holland as Peter Parker, Zendaya as Michelle, and Tony Revolori as Manuel. They’re all definitely looking like high school teenagers. 

Jon Watts is directing the film and it also stars Michael Barbieri, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Kenneth Choi, Martin Starr, Donald Glover, Logan Marshall-Green, Marisa Tomei, Robert Downey, Michael Keaton, and more. You'll be able to pick out a few of these other actors in the set photos below.

The film is set for release July 7, 2017. If we’re lucky, maybe Marvel will surprise us with some early footage of the film at Comic-Con next month!

Out of all of the Justice League character reveals in Batman v Superman, the one involving Cyborg was definitely the most intriguing. We got a little glimpse of what Ray Fisher will look like as Cyborg. At a recent press event for Justice League, it was revealed that Cyborg’s appearance will mostly be CGI.

He’s the only character on the team that won’t have a practical costume to wear. The reason for the CGI is because according to the costume designer Michael Wilkinson, the Cyborg character is almost entirely made out of chrome, with lights coming from Cyborg’s chest and eye. According to ComicBook.com, one of the character designs that they saw of the character featured “a weaponized Cyborg with an extra arm soaring into battle alongside Wonder Woman above a Batmobile being flipped by Parademons.”

As you might imagine, the only real part of Fisher that we will see in the movie is his face. On the set of the film, he’s just wearing a motion capture suit with lights that “will serve as parts of his body but on set they shine light onto set pieces and other characters as Cyborg’s body would were it actually there.”

There was also concept art of the character that was showed off that featured him wearing civilian clothing like a “sweatshirt with a hood on and more casual pants.” 

As I said before, Cyborg was the most interesting team member reveal in Batman v Superman and it got me excited for how the character would look and be utilized in Justice League.

A few weeks ago, Batman: Dead End and Hunter Prey director Sandy Collora launched a Kickstarter campaign for a short film called Shallow Water, which will be the first part of a retro horror/sci-fi anthology feature film he plans on making. 

There are only a few days left to get this thing funded and every little bit will help. It's so damn close, and it would be a complete and utter shame if this movie didn't get made. We've really gotta support the talented indie filmmakers out there who are trying to bring something new, different, cool, and unique into the world — especially when it involves genres that we love like this. 

I included a proof of concept trailer for the film Collora released last year and it looks great! This is a film I could totally get behind, and with the proper funding that he needs to make the short, there's no doubt he'll deliver something awesome.

An innocent adventure: a fishing trip to a remote and mythical fishing hole goes awry and becomes a terrifying predicament that keeps getting worse. Nestled deep in the Sea of Cortez is a tiny island you won't find on any map. Six fishermen scour the Baja peninsula to find this magical place, but when they finally reach their destination, they encounter some sea life that they did not expect. This puts them all at odds and it quickly becomes every man for himself. Which will prevail, Mother Nature or Human Nature?

Sony Pictures is currently preparing to start production on their upcoming animated Spider-Man movie, which will be completely separate from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There aren’t a lot of details on the project yet, but THR has revealed that film will be directed by Bob Persichetti and it will be his first feature film. Over the years, he’s worked on several animated film projects serving as head of story. A couple of those films include Puss in Boots and The Little Prince. 

It was also revealed that the script for the film was written by Phil Lord, half the writing and directing duo that brought us The Lego Movie and 21 Jump Street. His partner in crime Chris Miller is still attached to the film, but only as a producer. Also producing are Avi Arad and Amy Pascal.

There have been rumors that the animated Spider-Man film would be based on the Miles Morales version of the character, but the studio didn’t offer any confirmation or denial of that. It would be awesome if Morales was the center of the story in the upcoming movie. We’ll just have to wait and see until we hear more. 

It’s interesting that they brought in someone like Persichetti to direct the movie as he has no real experience in directing. The studio must’ve seen something in him, though. Hopefully he delivers an awesome animated Spider-Man movie.

Kotobukiya does some incredible work with the statues they release and they’ve revealed their San Diego Comic-Con 2016 Exclusive Lady Deadpool Bishoujo Statue. This is a 1/7th scale version of Wanda Wilson, who is holding a gyro in one hand and her very own Comic-Con tote bag in the other. On top of that, she also has her very own Comic-Con badge.  

Lady Deadpool is a member of the Deadpool Corps, which also consists of Deadpool, Headpool, Dogpool, and Kid Deadpool.

YouTuber pompberry has released a cool stop-motion video that features her applying makeup based on the classic anime character Totoro. This is her submission for the NYX Face Awards, which has been given an anime theme this time. She explains:

I decided to pay tribute to a movie that is very special to me, My Neighbour Totoro! It was my first time doing stop motion animation, so I hope you like it!

As you’ll see she does a fantastic job, and the makeup work is simply beautiful.

Warner Bros. has released a series of cool new character posters for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad. They include posters for Deadshot, Katana, Captain Boomerang, Harley Quinn, El Diablo, Rick Flag, Enchantress, Slipknot, The Joker, and Amanda Waller. 

Suicide Squad is the next film set to be released in the DCEU and the studio is hoping that it will wash the bad taste out of the mouths of fans that didn’t like Batman v Superman. I think it looks like it will be a better and more enjoyable all-around film that BvS.

Samkwok Workshop is back with a couple of new Iron Man mashup action figures! The first features a 1966-inspired version of Batman, which uses Hot Toys' Iron Man Mark III figure. The second is of Darth Vader, which uses the Hot Toys Iron Man Mark 42 armor as the base. It’s pretty cool to see the level of craftsmanship and detail that this guy puts into his work.

The first trailer has been released for an uplifting and powerful documentary called Gleason. I had the opportunity to watch this film at Sundance and it had an eye-opening, life-changing effect on me. It’s just one of those few films that are made that have the ability to inspire people to look at life differently and spark a positive change in attitude. It definitely inspired me to want to be a better person. Here’s the synopsis:

At the age of 34, Steve Gleason, former NFL defensive back and New Orleans hero, was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). Doctors gave him two to five years to live. So that is what Steve chose to do: live. This film incorporates incredibly personal video journals from Gleason for his then-unborn son to footage of his globe-trotting adventures undertaken as part of his mission to live his life to the fullest. The film not only is about Gleason’s strength as an activist, but importantly as a husband and father. The film ultimately centers around the universal story of family relationships, especially between a father and son.

This is an excerpt from my review of the film:

For me, the movie resonated as a story about fathers and sons. Not only is Steve trying to help guide his own son through life with these videos he's made, but he is also using it as an opportunity to get closer with his own dad. The two don't always see eye to eye on things and there is a lot of tension and frustration between them, but they work through their differences and find common ground to form a stronger bond with each other.

This is such a powerful movie of hope and perseverance. It's hard to watch at times and it's incredibly sad, but it's also incredibly uplifting and shows you that there is some amazingly good positivity in the world.

Gleason will be released in theaters in the US on July 29. It’s definitely a film worth watching.
