A new international trailer has been released for director Andrew Dominik's fantastic looking mob hitman film Killing Them Softly. The trailer features some great new footage from the film that might just land Brad Pitt some best actor nominations. 

The story follows a character named Jackie Cogan (Pitt), who is tracking down two people who ripped off his boss's high-stakes poker tournament. That obviously wasn't a smart move on their part. Ray Liotta also stars in the film as the hustler running the poker game, Richard Jenkins plays a lawyer with inside information, James Gandolfini plays a washed up alcoholic hit man, Vincent Curatola plays a middle-aged prison release seeking revenge, and Sam Rockwell is also in the movie! You can't beat a cast like that for a mob movie!

The movie will be released October 19th. I love watching movies like this so I'm really excited about seeing this one! What are your thoughts on this film?

Over the last couple of weeks we've seen some fun commercials for a couple of fake video games created for Disney's Wreck-It Ralph. There was 1982's Fix-It Felix Jr. and 1997's Sugar Rush Speedway, and today we bring you a commercial for the fake modern day video game Hero's Duty. If this game was real would you play it?

Wreck-It Ralph was directed by Rich Moore (The Simpsons) and will feature the voices of John C. FOX went out and hired Mark Bomback to write the script for director Matt Reeve's Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Bomback has worked on several high profile film projects in his career such as Live Free or Die Hard, Unstoppable, Total Recall, The Wolverine and even the 24 movie that will eventually happen. 

Bomback seems like he's a solid choice to script the sequel. I loved the first movie, and I'm looking forward to seeing where the story goes from where the first film left off. We know that it will continue the story of Caesar and his rise to power over the humans. Andy Serkis will return to reprise his role as Caesar, and Fox is set to release it on May 23rd, 2014.

Here's a new trailer for the upcoming horror film Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The trailer is called "The Nightmare Returns", and it features some new footage from the film. I actually had the opportunity to see the movie while I was at New York Comic Con, but I can't tell you anything about it yet, so you'll just have to wait. From what you've seen in the trailers do you think it will be good? Do you think I liked it or not?  

The movie will be released in theaters on October 26th.

The movie was written and directed Michael J. Bassett, and it stars Adelaide Clemens, Sean Bean, Kit Harington, Radha Mitchell, Deborah Kara Unger, Carrie-Ann Moss, Malcolm McDowell, Martin Donovan and Heather Marks.

The story follows Heather Mason, along with her father, who have been on the run - always one step ahead of dangerous forces that she doesn't fully understand. I enjoy the kind of art that artist Jeff Agala pumps out, he has a fun style and his illustrations are full of energy. Here's a great piece of art he created inspired by the movie Mars Attacks. It was created for Planet Pulp's current art show dedicated to director Tim Burton. 

What did you think of Burton's crazy Mars Attacks?

Are you excited for the return of Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw 3D? I really want to be excited about this movie, but the first trailer that was released did nothing to impress me. But I like the concept of the film! I'm just not sure if it's going to be executed right. Here's a few new photos from the movie for you to check out!

The story centers on a young woman named Heather who discovers that she's a direct descendent of the insane Sawyer family from Tobe Hooper's original film, and she goes back to Newt, Texas to learn a little more about her family history. Apparently there will also be footage from the original film included in this one.

Several of the original cast members from the first movie have returned for this one including John Dugan who will reprise his role as Grandfather, Marilyn Burns, Bill Moseley and Gunnar Hansen. It also stars Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde, Sue Rock, Scott Eastwood, Trey Songz, Keram Malicki-Sanchez, Shaun Sipos, Thom Barry, Paul Rae and Richard Riehle.

Here's a horrific series of cereal character mascot art created by Guillermo Fajardo. He's taken the lovable mascots from Captain Crunch, Trix, Count Chocula and Frosted Flakes and given them an insanely terrifying character redesign. Each one of them looks like they belong in an insane asylum.

I've always wondered what if the charecters from our favorite cereal boxes were actual real life moving and dramatic creatures. So I chose the beloved Captain Crunch as the lead man of this collection. 

Trix! Our Hypochondriac friend is addicted to cereal and enemy of sunlight, but not underestimate him! his passion for skating makes him a competitor maniac and not always a fair rival.

But be careful! 'cause the friendly human dressed as Count Chocula has recently becomed into a convinced-to-be-a-vampire murderer and is ready to hunt. Guess I don't have to warn you about keeping your neck safe during breakfast,... should I?  

He is masculine, very competitive and addicted to body building...It's your all-time favorite fierce-costumed-latin-lover Tony. What a better choice than breakfast with a perverse self-obssesed animal!

When it comes to comic cats I've always been a Garfield kind of guy. Unfortunately, the Garfield movies sucked ass. The other comic strip cat is Heathcliff, he was never really that interesting to me but he's going to get his own big screen adaptation. Like all movies based on stuff like this, the plan is to do a live-action/CG animated hybrid film.

The rights to the comic were acquired by the family-based production outfit Waterman Entertainment. Rights holder, Peter Gallagher had this to say in a statement,

Their track record is impeccable. 'Casper', 'Stuart Little' and 'Alvin' are examples of incorporating elements that past audiences loved and adding a contemporary flair that makes these properties endure with a whole new generation. That is exactly what I was looking to achieve with 'Heathcliff'. We want our existing fans to identify with the characters they know while introducing him to an entirely new audience. As a creator I know that they will be attentive to our lasting vision for the brand and welcome our input, which is very important to me.

Head of Development, Cooper Waterman added,

When working in concert with the creators and rights holders, you are able to tap their wealth of knowledge on the character and ensure the storylines remain true to the brand and their global fan base. This will allow us to confidently present ‘Heathcliff’ to a new generation and excite fans with new stories and plots.

Most movies like this tend to turn out bad. I'm not really all that excited or interested in a Heathcliff movie, but I suppose there's an audience out there that is. What do you think about Heathcliff getting his own movie?

Director David Fincher is still working on getting his big screen adaptation of Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. We haven't heard much news on the project since Fincher hired Se7en scribe Andrew Kevin Walker to rewrite the script. Fincher is now looking to cast Brad Pitt in the role of sailor and master harpooner Ned Land. This is the same character played by Kirk Douglas in the original 1954 film.

Casting Pitt in the movie makes perfect sense as Fincher and Pitt have worked together several times in the past on films such as Se7en, Fight Club and The Curious case of Benjamin Button. I think Pitt would be great in the role so it would be cool to see this all work out. As of right now, nothing is set in stone but the wheels are turning.

Disney hasn't even officially greenlit the movie yet, according to Variety, "the studio has placed a three-month hold on the filmmaker as it decides whether to move forward with the project." I hope they move forward with it! Ever since Fincher was attached to direct it I've been extremely excited to see what his vision of the story looks like! 

Fincher is also currently waiting for a script to come in for the sequel to The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, which is being written by Steve Zaillian. I imagine if Disney decides to move forward with 20,000 Leagues, he will do that before he takes on The Girl Who Played With Fire.

What do you think of Pitt possibly being cast in the lead role of this movie, and who would you like to see play Captain Nemo?

Director Ang Lee introduces us to kind of the first clip for his visually stunning looking film Life of Pi. I guess this is technically the first clip that we saw for the movie when it was presented to us in the form of a teaser trailer before Prometheus. There's a few little new additions to it though. I've go to say they did an amazing job with that CG animated tiger, it's flawless.

The film is based on the novel by Yann Martel, and tells the inspiring tale of "a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery. While marooned on a lifeboat, he forms an amazing and unexpected connection with the ship's only other survivor -- a fearsome Bengal tiger."

The movie is set to be released in 2D and 3D on November 21st! Are you looking forward to this one?

Check out this great zombie themed wedding photo! The groom, Josiah, had their wedding photographer take a picture of the wedding party acting like zombies as he and his wife were fighting them off. He then imported it into Photoshop and went to work, turning it into an incredible image of apocalyptic zombie insanity. This is a perfect addition to our Halloween Geek Art collection. Warner Bros. has released a great new behind the scenes featurette for the epic looking Andy and Lana Wachowski and Tom Tykwer directed film Cloud Atlas. The video includes interviews from the directors, cast and crew of the film, as they talk about the story and the characters. It also includes some new footage from the movie that features actors Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant, Ben Whishaw, Keith David, Jim Broadbent, James D'Arcy and Doona Bae.

I'm truly excited for this film, and I hope it ends up meeting the expectations I've built up for it. The movie is set to hit theaters on October 26th! Do you think the movie will meet your expectations?

In a recent interview with Collider Hugo Weaving called his voiceover work as Megatron in the Transformers films meaningless, and director Michael Bay got pissed off and fired back at the actor on his blog. Here's what the actor said,

That's a weird job for me because it honestly was a two-hour voice job, initially. I was doing a play and I actually didn't have time, anyway. It was one of the only things I've ever done where I had no knowledge of it, I didn't care about it, I didn't think about it. They wanted me to do it. In one way, I regret that bit. I don't regret doing it, but I very rarely do something if it's meaningless. It was meaningless to me, honestly. I don't mean that in any nasty way. I did it. It was a two-hour voice job, while I was doing other things. Of course, it's a massive film that's made masses of money. I just happened to be the voice of one of the iconic villainous characters. But, my link to that and to Michael Bay is so minimal. I have never met him. I was never on set. I've seen his face on Skype. I know nothing about him, really. I just went in and did it. I never read the script. I just have my lines, and I don't know what they mean. That sounds absolutely pathetic! I've never done anything like that, in my life. It's hard to say any more about it than that, really.

After hearing his explanation I can understand why he feels that way. With all of the effects and distortion they put on his voice you can barely tell it's Weaving anyway. Bay on the other hand felt the need to lash out, he doesn't name names, but you can tell who he's talking about. Here's what Bay had to say,

Do you ever get sick of actors that make $15 million a picture, or even $200,000 for voiceover work that took a brisk one hour and 43 minutes to complete, and then complain about their jobs? With all the problems facing our world today, do these grumbling thespians really think people reading the news actually care about trivial complaints that their job wasn't 'artistic enough' or 'fulfilling enough'? I guess The Hollywood Reporter thinks so.

What happened to people who had integrity, who did a job, got paid for their hard work, and just smiled afterward? Be happy you even have a job - let alone a job that pays you more than 98% of the people in America.

I have a wonderful idea for all those whiners: They can give their 'unhappy job money' to a wonderful Elephant Rescue. It's the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Africa. I will match the funds they donate.

Shortly after the director posted this on his site he took it down, but not before the internet got a hold of it. I've got to say that Bay makes a very valid point as well. If I got paid $200,000 for two hours of work I'd be the freakin' happiest dude alive! 

There's really no wrong or right answer here, just a couple of different opinions from two people that helped bring the Transformers to life. Do you side with one more than the other? 

I wasn't sure if we'd get another full trailer for Skyfall before it was released on Novemeber 9th, but here it is, and it's awesome! It features a ton of great new footage and does a great job of pumping us up for the movie!

David Fincher is one of my favorite filmmakers working today, and when I saw he produced this intense live-action Halo 4 trailer I was blown away! The short was directed by Tim Miller, but you can definitely see Fincher's influence. This is not only a great trailer but an incredible example of how amazing a Halo movie could be! I seriously believe this is the best live-action trailer/short we've seen from the Halo franchise to date.

Master Chief's mind is violated by a powerful new enemy, who in searching for Chief's weaknesses, finds the source of his strength. 

It gives us a little background story on Master Chief, and you also get to see him kick some ass! No joke, this thing gave me goosebumps! This is the team that should bring Halo to life on the big screen! Watch the video below and tell us what you think!

This is our first look at Amber Heard in Machette Kills, and as you can see, she's seducing Danny Trejo. Heard plays a manipulative assassin code-named Miss San Antonio in the movie. The photo comes with the announcement that the movie will be released by Open Road Films sometime in 2013. 

The sequel follows Machete as he's "recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy."

The movie also stars Mel Gibson, Demian Bichir, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens and Cuba Gooding Jr.
