Here’s a fun animated video that tells us the entire story of Mega Man in only three minutes. The video was created by Rick Jones for Arcade Cloud, and it’s a nice little refresher. This was one of my favorite games to play when I was growing up, and it’s cool to see that it’s still getting the fan love after all these years. The franchise is still going strong, and there’s even a new animated series currently in development that you can learn more about here.

Variety reports that a new comedy series called Sick Note is being developed, and it has a great cast of actors that includes Harry Potter star Rupert Grint, Shaun of the Dead’s Nick Frost, and Miami Vice’s Don Johnson. According to the report, the story explores “how desperate a person’s actions can become when a lie starts to spiral out of control.”

These are all great actors who don’t do enough these days, so it’s great to see them land a project like this. Sick Note was created and written by Nat Saunders and James Serafinowicz, and it will be directed by Matt Lipsey. Here is some detailed information on the story:

“Sick Note is the story of Daniel Glass (Grint), a compulsive liar, who’s stuck in a failing relationship and a dead-end job, where he is under the thumb of his irrepressible boss Kenny West (Johnson). And just when things couldn’t get any worse, he’s diagnosed with esophageal cancer. However, everyone starts to treat him better because of his diagnosis and suddenly Daniel finds he has a new lust for life.
“But then he finds out he was misdiagnosed by the most incompetent oncologist on Earth, Dr. Ian Glennis (Frost) and that’s when Daniel has a big decision to make: come clean and go back to his old rubbish life, or keep this new information a secret and pretend to be ill. He decides to go for the latter but very quickly the lie spirals out of control and both Daniel and Dr. Glennis have to spend all of their waking lives trying to prevent the truth from getting out.”

The series is set to air on the premium pay channel Sky Atlantic early next year. Does it sound like something you’d want to watch?

10 Funny Unscripted TV Moments That Made the Final Cut

I love it when actors improvise and do something completely unexpected while shooting a film or TV show. Sometimes those spontaneous unscripted moments end up being comedic gold. ScreenRant has released a video that lists ten funny moments from TV shows that weren't part of the plan. Those shows include Friends, Community, Buffy the Vampire Slyer, Scrubs, The Simpson’s, The Office, and more. Here’s the description that came along with the video.

By its very nature, television is generally scripted. Whether it's an actor performing in an episodic drama or comedy, an anchorperson presenting the latest world news, or a quiz host welcoming an audience to a show, almost everyone who appears on TV says and does exactly what they're supposed to.But that isn't always the case - and we're not just talking about specifically improvised shows like Whose Line Is It Anyway? Even shows that are scripted have featured moments in which actors and performers have gone off script - and sometimes with great results. In this video, we're going to run through some of the best off-the-cuff moments to have been aired on television - both in live action and animated shows. Here are ten hilarious improvised TV moments you have to see.

Here’s an incredibly cool fan illustration featuring Batman and Robin from the classic 1966 TV series. The pencils and inks were done by Jim Lee ,and the colors were done by Jeremiah Skipper. It gives these two versions of the classic characters more of a hardcore look than we’re used to seeing them in.

I’ve got a fantastic and beautifully made animated short film for you to watch called "Lunette." This is a fantasy-based short that tells a poetic and delightful story about the journey of a wolf who travels with the moon. This isn’t a hardcore action-packed film, but it’s still great, and it's wonderfully executed. I really hope you take the time to check it out.

Amusing Video Imagines the Uno Card Game as an Anime Series

I’ve got a wonderfully entertaining video that shows us what the card game Uno would be like if it were an anime series. It completely works too! I haven’t played Uno in years, but I’d totally watch this if it were a thing. I’m not even sure if Uno is still popular, but this could breathe life back into the game and even find a new audience. The video below was posted by JelloApocalypse.

Watch a Rock Climber Scale a Skyscraper Using Vacuums

As a person who is afraid of heights, the thought of climbing up the side of a skyscraper using vacuums makes my stomach turn. A rock climber named Sierra Blair-Coyle was hired by LG to demonstrate the sucking power of their cordless CordZero vacuum cleaner by using them to climb up the side of a building in South Korea.

She strapped two of the vacuums on her back, and with the power of suction, she completed the feat. Just in case the vacuums broke down, she was also strapped in with safety equipment including safety lines.

This is such a ridiculous stunt, but it’s also pretty cool. LG is out their risking lives to prove their cordless vacuum has ultra suction power. Watch the video below!

There's also a huge explosion! This gives us a great tease of what looks to be one awesomely action-packed car chase scene. We've definitely never seen anything like this before in the Fast and Furious franchise.

James Franco Set to Star in Stephen King’s DRUNKEN FIREWORKS

James Franco is set to star in another Stephen King project! It will be a feature film adaptation of a short story called "Drunken Fireworks." There’s also a chance that Franco could direct it, but he hasn’t decided if he wants to do that or not yet.

Franco most recently worked on Hulu’s Stephen King and J.J. Abrams series 11.22.63, which was incredible! That series was just a perfect storm of awesomeness, and it’s great to see that Franco is taking on another of King’s creations. This sounds like it will be a great project for him.

Drunken Fireworks is a darkly comic tale of a blue-collar mechanic and a retired mob boss who go head to head in an increasingly antagonistic annual Fourth of July fireworks competition. The tale is set in small-town rural Maine, where local good ol’ boy Alden McCausland (Franco) strikes up a rivalry with retired mob boss Nicky Serrano when Nicky moves in across the lake from Alden and his mother. When Nicky bests Alden’s Fourth of July fireworks show, Alden goes to great lengths to ensure that he beats Nicky the next year in a competition known henceforth as the “Fourth of July Arms Race.”

The script for the feature is being written by Matt Rager, who has collaborated with Franco on a few projects such as As I Lay Dying, The Sound And The Fury, and the upcoming John Steinbeck novel adaptation In Dubious Battle. Here's the official story description with additional details:

Alden McCausland and his mother are what they call “accident rich”; thanks to an unexpected life-insurance policy payout and a winning Big Maine Millions scratcher, Alden and his Ma are able to spend their summers down by Lake Abenaki, idly drinking their days away in a three-room cabin with an old dock and a lick of a beach.

Across the lake, they can see what “real rich” looks like: the Massimo family’s Twelve Pines Camp, the big white mansion with guest house and tennis court that Alden’s Ma says is paid for by “ill-gotten gains” courtesy of Massimo Construction. When Alden’s holiday-weekend sparklers and firecrackers set off what over the next few years comes to be known as the Fourth of July Arms Race, he learns how far he and the Massimos will go to win an annual neighborly rivalry—one that lands Alden in the Castle County jail.

This sounds like a fun story and will make for a great film.

Cate Blanchett Is Looking to Join All Female OCEAN'S 11 Film

This new Ocean's Eleven film in development that will be led by an all-female cast seems to be shaping up nicely with the actors getting involved. Sandra Bullock is attached to the Gary Ross-directed project, and Jennifer Lawrence is also looking to join. Now thanks to The Playlist, we’ve learned that Cate Blanchett is in talks to co-star in the film.

According to the report, inside sources have told them that the film is currently “affectionately known” as Ocean’s Ocho. This seems to indicate that there will be eight principal thieves pulling off a heist instead of eleven.

If Blanchett is cast, she will be playing the same type of role that Brad Pitt played, which is the role  we thought Lawrence was up for, but I guess not. The new movie is supposed to be a continuation of the original films, and Bullock will be playing Danny Ocean’s ex-con sister. With help from her right-hand woman (Blanchett), she’ll form a team of thieves to steal a necklace from the Met Ball in order to frame a villainous gallery owner.

The film was being developed by the late producer Jerry Weintraub, Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first three films, and George Clooney. We also know that screenwriter Olivia Milch (Queen & Country, Little Women) has been working on the screenplay. The latest report says:

While there was some early talk that George Clooney’s Danny Ocean character could cameo in the film, that idea has been nixed for now. However, they have loose plans for sequels should the movie take off, and it’s possible the character could appear down the road.

As a fan of the Soderbergh's three Ocean's films, I’m excited to see how this new relaunch of the franchise turns out. It could be a lot of fun, especially if they bring together an awesome cast like this.

Michael Bay Reveals the New Custom-Built Bumblebee Camaro for TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KINGHT

Over the weekend, director Michael Bay revealed Bumblebee's slick new look in Transformers: The Last Knight. This is a custom-built 2016 Camaro from General Motors. The character has gotten a new car design for every film, and as cool as this one is, I'm still waiting for the day we see him go back to the Volkswagon Bug look, because it'd be pretty damn funny.

Bumblebee is a fan-favorite character in the franchise, and he's scheduled to get his own solo film in 2018. I imagine The Last Knight will help set up that storyline. My expectations for these upcoming Transformers films are low. I'm not expecting them to be much better than what we've already seen. Regardless of the mediocrity of these films, they still make a ridiculous amount of money, which is why Paramount Pictures will keep making them.

The Last Knight stars Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager, Josh Duhamel as Lieutenant Colonel Lennox, Isabela Moner (100 Things to Do Before High School) as the film’s female lead, Izabella, and Jerrod Carmichael (Neighbors) in an unspecified leading role. Sir Anthony Hopkins also recently joined the film, and I'm really hoping that he will provide the voice of Unicron.

The movie is set to be released on June 23rd, 2017. What do you think of Bumblebee's new look?

Tom Hiddleston Teases Hulk and Loki Confrontation in THOR: RAGNAROK and More

Over the weekend, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston appeared at Wizard World Philadelphia, and during their panel, they talked a little bit about Marvel's Thor: Ragnarok. This third Thor film is sure to turn out to be the best of the three. I think director Taika Waititi is going to do something wonderfully special with it and give us something that we’ve never seen before. At one point during the Q&A, Hiddleston was asked what we could expect to see from Loki in the upcoming film and he explained:

"That's a great question. I'm so, I have to say, I haven't said, I'm so excited to be playing him again. I haven't played him, I really haven't played him properly since the end of 2012. I know Thor: The Dark World came out in 2013, but the last time I put the suit on was in 2012 if you exclude San Diego Comic Con."

I’m really happy that Loki will be back again, but it’s kinda sad that this could be the last time we see him in the MCU. He went on to talk about how the characters have progressed, explaining:

"Um, so what I'm interested in really is how his attitudes have changed. While Thor was away with his buddies fighting a computer, and uh, I'll think you'll see it's, there is all sorts of interesting things. I'm four yeas older and Chris is four years older  and there will just be new things we find in it. The most exciting thing about him is that he is always a trickster. It is trying to find new ways for him to be mischievous, because I love doing that, and I hope you guys love within that. “

Some new story details were revealed for film recently in which we learned that it will include some elements of Planet Hulk. You can read more about that here. Speaking of Hulk, Hiddleston teased the green goliath’s appearance in the film saying:

“And lets not forget that its no secret that um, that the Hulk shows up in Ragnarok, and um, the last time Loki and Hulk were in the same room didn't go very well for Loki so, he's got a few chips on his shoulder, but um, yeah, it's fun, you'll see.”

Yeah, it’s definitely going to be awesome to see Loki and Hulk come face to face again. I’m sure we’re going to see a rematch between the two, and maybe this time, Loki will get the better of him. We'll just have to wait and see. Hemsworth also shared his thoughts on the film:

"Man, it is a lot of fun. I think tonally it's a big shift in a great way, more than anything we've seen before. Um, Taika Waititi, the director, if you know any of his work, yeah, he's just an incredible sort of comedic talent, um, a lot of heart in everything he does, um, but you know there's a, it's a very different Thor, it's a different Loki, I think there's a, we go off on another world that we haven't experienced before. It's fun you know, uh, but that's me skirting around the issue because I can't say too much."

They will be joined by Idris Elba (Heimdall), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Cate Blanchett (Hela), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), and Karl Urban (Skurge). The movie hits theaters on November 3rd, 2017.

X-FILES Star Gillian Anderson Joins Neil Gaiman's AMERICAN GODS on Starz

X-Files star Gillian Anderson is the latest actress to join the cast of Starz’ highly anticipated series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods

Variety reports that Anderson will take on the role of the character Media, “the mouthpiece for the New Gods, functioning as their public face and sales representative, by taking the form of various iconic celebrities.” The report goes on to explain that “she lives off the attention and worship that people give to screens — to their laptops, their TVs, to their iPhones in their hands while they watch their TVs. Ever the perky spokesperson, and always in control, she spins stories in whatever direction best suits her.”

Anderson is going to be awesome in this role! It’s definitely inspired casting! The series will reunite her with producer Bryan Fuller, who most recently worked with her on NBC’s Hannibal.

The story for American Gods focuses on "a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of biblical and mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. Its protagonist, Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle), is an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane), a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross-country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities."

Anderson will join the previously cast Emily Browning as Shadow’s wife Laura, Sean Harris as leprechaun Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as love goddess Bilquis, Bruce Langley as petulant god Technology Boy, Jonathan Tucker as Low-Key Lyesmith, and Crispin Glover as Mr. World.

David Slade (Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night) is directing the pilot episode as well as some additional episodes in the series. The show is set t premiere sometime in 2017.

GAME OF THRONES-Inspired Hodor Tribute Doorstop

The big reveal regarding Hodor earlier in the sixth season of Game of Thrones was one of the greatest, most powerful and heartbreaking moments in the series. I loved what they did with this poor character and how through his whole life he was carrying only one thing in his mind, "hold the door."

Well, a group of Game of Thrones fans have come together to pay tribute to Hodor by creating a doorstop in his honor that they are kickstarting. They were only asking for $5,000 to produce it, but they have managed to already raise over $64,700. It's an awesome idea and they explain:

My friends and I are huge GoT nerds. We know more about Westoros history than... actual history. We all agreed Hodor should be the one to sit on the Iron Throne until we watched the ending of season 6 episode 5.
As a tribute to this oversized and simple-minded hero, we are creating this 6" "Hodoor" Hold the Door Doorstops. Yes, it actually works as a real doorstop.
We've already hired multiple designers (with over 20 years of combined experience) to bring this idea to life.
The final version will be a, 6" tall "Hodoor" doorstop guaranteed to impress even the nerdiest GoT Fan.

They still have yet to secure the rights from HBO. If they aren't granted the rights, the project will be shut down and everyone who helped fund the project will be given their money back.

Tom Hiddleston Addresses Those James Bond Casting Rumors

Last week a rumor broke that Tom Hiddleston was in talks to take on the role of James Bond in the next movie. Turns out those rumors might not be true, unfortunately. During a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia, the actor shared the disappointing news saying:

"I'm sorry to disappoint you everybody.  I don't think that announcement is coming. But I'm very gratified to hear the enthusiasm. There's not much that I can say that I haven't already said, but I know... your guess is as good as mine to be honest."

I really hope he’s just messing around with us and someday in the near future it will be announced that he will be the new James Bond! The actor has previously said that he’d love to take on the role if it was offered to him.

“I simply love the theme tune, the tropes and the mythology. I love the whole thing. If it ever came knocking, it would be an extraordinary opportunity. And I’m very aware of the physicality of the job. I would not take it lightly.”

When talking about the possibility of taking on the role  previously, he said:

"I mean, as somebody who grew up with Sean Connery and Roger Moore, when you mention that there is a part of me that goes really? are you kidding? But I feel like who's going to be the next James Bond is, it's one of the nation's favorite pub conversations. It's up there with who is going to win X-Factor and when is the England National side going to live up to its full potential, and is Britain going to leave the E.U. and all that thing."

It would be such a shame if the producers of the James Bond franchise don’t get Hiddleston on board. But who knows, maybe they have someone on their mind that will be a better, completely unexpected choice. Any thoughts on who you want that person to be?

I've got an enjoyable mashup for you to watch today that combines scenes from Star Wars: The Force Awakens with music from the band They Might Be Giants. The song that it's set to is called "Fingertips," which is actually a collection of 21 silly short songs that range from 5 to 20 seconds long.
