Video: People Auditioning For Ridiculous NSFW Film Script Posted on Craiglist

This idea is as cruel as it is funny. A new YouTube channel Craigslist Casting posts fake scripts for aspiring actors wishing to make it big, and then posts their auditions. This first episode features actors auditioning for the role of Billy Ding. Billy will apparently be featured in an indie film starring Seth Rogen.

It's kind of mean in the sense that these guys think they have a shot to be in a movie...but then again, I don't think any of them are professionally trained actors. Who would you cast for the role of Billy Ding?

Oh just a heads up, things get a bit NSFW for language in this video so throw some headphones on or hook it up to a loudspeaker. Your preference, really.

Bryan Cranston Goes Undercover in Trailer For Drug Thriller THE INFILTRATOR

The story of Pablo Escobar's drug empire has been told a bunch of times by now, most recently on the Netflix series Narcos. Now it's being told again, from the classic "one man brings the whole thing down" angle. It looks like any undercover movie you've seen before (Donnie Brasco, etc), but it has a decent cast (including Diane Kruger, John Leguizamo, and Benjamin Bratt) and a passable director in Brad Furman (The Lincoln Lawyer). We'll find out how it all comes together on July 15th.

Based on a true story, Federal agent ROBERT "BOB" MAZUR (Bryan Cranston) goes deep undercover to infiltrate Pablo Escobar's drug trafficking scene plaguing the nation in 1986 by posing as slick, money-laundering businessman Bob Musella. Teamed with impulsive and streetwise fellow agent EMIR ABREU (John Leguizamo) and rookie agent posing as his fiancé KATHY ERTZ (Diane Kruger), Mazur befriends Escobar's top lieutenant ROBERTO ALCAINO (Benjamin Bratt). Navigating a vicious criminal network in which the slightest slip-up could cost him his life, Mazur risks it all building a case that leads to indictments of 85 drug lords and the corrupt bankers who cleaned their dirty money, along with the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, one of the largest money-laundering banks in the world.

Idris Elba Teams With 12 YEARS A SLAVE Writer For Showtime Series GUERRILLA

With successful roles on The Wire and Luther, Idris Elba is no stranger to television. Neither is John Ridley, one of the writers of 12 Years a Slave who also created ABC's American Crime and is developing a mysterious show for Marvel. Now the two men are collaborating for a new six-episode limited series for Showtime called Guerrilla, which Ridley will write, direct, and executive produce and Elba will co-star and executive produce. Here's the synopsis:

Guerrilla is a love story set against the backdrop of one of the most politically explosive times in U.K. history. It tells the story of a politically active couple whose relationship and values are tested when they liberate a political prisoner and form a radical underground cell in 1970s London. Their ultimate target becomes the Black Power Desk, a true-life, secretive counter-intelligence unit within Special Branch dedicated to crushing all forms of black activism. Whilst the series is set against a background of social and political activism, at its heart Guerrilla is about a relationship under pressure, and the reality that for any couple there comes a point when the choices they make have real and lasting consequences.

Production starts in London late this summer, and I'm interested in who will be cast as Elba's on-screen partner in this series. Showtime hasn't exactly been a haven for brilliant TV shows over the past few years, but maybe this will convince people it might be time to get a subscription...at least for these six episodes.

DE PALMA Documentary Trailer Dives Into The Director's Filmography

You may recognize Noah Baumbach as the director of movies like The Squid and The Whale and Frances Ha, and much like the protagonists of his recent movie While We're Young, he's taken a trip into the world of documentary filmmaking for his next project. He's collaborated with co-director Jake Paltrow for De Palma, a conversation with iconic director Brian De Palma that traces the filmmaker's unique path through the industry and touches on some of the classic films he's made along the way.

One of the most talented, influential, and iconoclastic filmmakers of all time, Brian De Palma’s career started in the 60s and has included such acclaimed and diverse films as Carrie, Dressed to Kill, Blow Out, Scarface, The Untouchables, Carlito’s Way, and Mission: Impossible. In this lively, illuminating and unexpectedly moving documentary, directors Noah Baumbach and Jake Paltrow engage in a personal and candid discussion with De Palma, exploring not only his life and work but also his singular approach to the craft of filmmaking and his remarkable experiences navigating the film business, from his early days as the bad boy of New Hollywood to his more recent years as a respected veteran of the field. In the end, what emerges is a funny, honest, and incisive portrait of a truly one-of-a-kind artist, and an exhilarating behind-the-scenes look at the last 50 years of the film industry through the eyes of someone who has truly seen it all.

De Palma is being released by the wonderful distribution company A24, and it will be in theaters on June 10th.

Chuck Lorre Talks About Creating The Iconic TMNT Theme Song

Chuck Lorre is a television icon. His credits include Roseanne, Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory...the list goes on for quite a bit. Recently, Lorre was given a shout-out in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt for writing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles theme song and I had to read more about it!

Luckily not much reading was required, as I found an interview in which Lorre talks about the experience, and how he basically swooped in at the 11th hour for a lack of a better option. Pretty crazy considering the legacy he has in television!

Trailer For David Spade and Adam Sandler's Netflix Exclusive THE DO-OVER

After a quick teaser a few weeks ago, we now have our first full trailer for the second Adam Sandler Netflix collaboration, and it doesn't look half bad! The Do-Over looks to be another comedy that, unlike The Ridiculous 6, actually looks worth watching! First off, I'm always glad to see David Spade in a film! Second, Sandler is playing a supporting role. Third, no Native Americans stormed off this set, so it may not be racially insensitive!

All jokes aside, I have high hopes for this one! Here's a description:

The life of a bank manager is turned upside down when a friend from his past manipulates him into faking his own death and taking off on an adventure.

Simple enough. Fingers crossed that it's good! The film hits Netflix on May 27th.

Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks Saddle Up For Western Series TIN STAR

The western genre has experienced tons of ups and downs over the years, and after a bit of a dry spell recently, it seems like it's on the upswing again right now. Variety reports that 28 Weeks Later writer Rowan Joffe has written a TV series called Tin Star, and it has secured actors Tim Roth and Christina Hendricks for its lead roles.

“Tin Star” tells the story of Jim Worth, a former London police detective who has moved with his family to the Rocky Mountains to start a new life as a local police chief in an idyllic rural community. When his small town is overrun by migrant workers from a massive new oil refinery, the wave of drugs, prostitution and organized crime that follows them threatens to sweep away everything in its wake.
When Jim makes a stand, his act appears to prompt mysterious assassins to unleash sudden and violent retribution on him and his family; the resulting tragedy irrevocably shattering the peace they had found in this once perfect mountain idyll and transforming their remote sanctuary into a hellish and inescapable prison.

Roth and Hendricks both have TV experience (Lie to Me and Mad Men, respectively), and while Roth was recently seen in Quentin Tarantino's The Hateful Eight, Hendricks popped up in a couple episodes of a little space western called Firefly back in the day. It has a tiny, quiet fan base, but you might have heard of it. The European company Sky has commissioned the series, and there's no word about how or when we'll be able to see it Stateside. We'll keep you posted as soon as we hear more.

Watch: Maisie Williams Gets GAME OF THRONES Fans To Act Out Scenes From The Show

With the season six premiere of Game of Thrones only a few days away, actress Maisie Williams (aka Arya Stark) has teamed up with Nylon Magazine for a fun little video in which she gets behind the counter at a hobby store and surprises GOT fans. She's not in a disguise or anything, so there's no big reveal; if they watch the show, they instantly know who she is. But the fun part comes when she convinces them to act out scenes from the show in order to get some GOT swag. That woman flying around like a dragon is the best.

Game of Thrones returns to HBO this Sunday, April 24th.

AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR Writers Talk About "Delivering The Goods" With Thanos

$

Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writers of Marvel Studios' Captain America: Civil War, are gearing up for Avengers: Infinity War, which will feature the Mad Titan Thanos as its main villain. Thanos has been teased and hinted at in multiple movies (even appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy and speaking honest-to-God lines of dialogue), but he's proven to be utterly incompetent at acquiring and keeping the Infinity Stones thus far. Markus and McFeely are going to change that, and when the Huffington Post asked them the one thing they're looking forward to the most about Infinity War, they said:

“[Thanos]. It’s easy,” said McFeely. “Really giving him good scenes. You know, he’s never been the villain in any of the movies. He’s never been the main character in that way, so giving lots of good screen time to Thanos is paramount and pretty fun.
He hasn’t had an amazing scene. I think it’s an advantage ultimately, right? Because people are anticipating this guy coming in and really delivering the goods. So, I think they’re eager, and we just have to deliver it. We don’t have to convince them that he’s gonna be interesting. We just have to execute what has been teased.”

Sounds like Josh Brolin better get ready for some serious action.

Also, a few months ago, the brothers made headlines when they revealed that they were dealing with the potential of 67 characters in the film, and many — myself included — were worried that would be too many to handle, even in a two-part film. They addressed that concern as well:

“Well, I mean that number is literally — that number comes from the fact that that’s everyone who’s already been introduced. If you line up all the characters who are available to use from the prior Marvel movies, it racks up to about 60 something characters, let alone the new ones you could bring in,” said Markus.
“Right,” added McFeely. “We had our office filled with cards of everybody who was alive and available, and the brothers came in and went, ‘Whoa.’ So that doesn’t mean that everyone is, you know, there’s not going to be 67 lead parts.”

That much was obvious, because 67 leading roles is unfathomable. It remains to be seen how well they'll be able to handle the increased roster, but from the sound of the early reviews from Civil War, they did a pretty bang-up job of it in that movie, so maybe fans shouldn't be too worried about this movie's overstuffed cast after all.

BLADE RUNNER 2 Upgrades to 2017 Release Date

I thought it was very strange that Alcon Entertainment set Blade Runner 2 to open in January of 2018, since January is typically a dumping ground for awful movies. But now that concern has slipped away like tears in rain, because Variety reports that the film has now upgraded to the earlier release date of October 6, 2017 instead of January 12, 2018. That's an interesting date, too — it's after what's sure to be a glut of big-budget summer movies, during a time when studios generally start pushing out their awards-caliber movies. Hmm...

The film, which is being produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Sicario helmer Denis Villeneuve, is set to start shooting this summer (through the lenses of legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins) with Harrison Ford reprising his role as Rick Deckard. He'll be joined by Ryan Gosling, Dave Bautista, and Robin Wright. If you're interested, you can read Ridley Scott's description of the opening scene of the film right here.

Action-Packed Full Trailer for JASON BOURNE!

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for Paul Greengrass and Matt Damon's Jason Bourne, and it looks freakin' spectacular! The trailer packs an action-packed punch to the face, and there's no doubt that fans of the franchise are going to flip over this thing. It even gives you a little taste of that Las Vegas strip car chase scene we've heard so much about.

The story finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows, and he's ready to fight for his life again. This could very well be the best Bourne movie yet! As you'll see, it's definitely going to deliver the goods.

Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel, and Tommy Lee Jones. Julia Stiles also reprises her role as Nicky Parsons in the series. Jason Bourne is scheduled to hit theaters on July 29th, 2016.

MR. ROBOT Season 2 Promo Spots and Premiere Date!

I was late to the game when I started watching Mr. Robot, but ten seconds into the first episode I was hooked! This is one of the best series on TV, and it’d be a shame if you missed out on it. The end of season one left fans with so many questions, questions that I hope will be answered in season two. Some of those questions include (Season one spoilers, obviously) what's up with Tyrell Wellick and where is he? What happened during Elliot’s blackout? How was Elliot able to pull off the hack? And who the hell is knocking on his door at the end of the season finale?

We have a couple promo spots, one of which gives us our first look at the upcoming season and gives us a teasing glimpse of what we can expect to see from it. “We have other battles to fight,” Mr. Robot tells Elliot at the end of the spot. What battles are those? I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out.

Mr. Robot follows Elliot Alderson (Rami Malek), a young cybersecurity engineer who becomes involved in the underground hacker group fsociety, after being recruited by its mysterious leader (Christian Slater). The upcoming season will explore the consequences of its hack Evil Corp as well as the illusion of control.

It was also announced that the series will return to the USA Network on July 13th of this year.

Mystical Trailer for a Chinese Animated Film Called BIG FISH AND BEGONIA

$

A beautiful trailer has surfaced for an upcoming Chinese animated film called Big Fish and Begonia. I’ve never heard of this project until today, but it looks like quite the spectacle. The movie is being developed by Liang Xuan and Zhang Chun with Studio Mir, which is the South Korean animation studio that worked on Legend of Korra. Apparently this film has been in development for over a decade, so it’s definitely a labor of love.

The film follows a sixteen-year-old girl named Chun from a mystical world hidden within the world of humans who transforms into a dolphin to explore the human world, encountering a mysterious young boy who sacrifices his life to save her—leading her on a journey to protect his soul and revive him.

Big Fish and Begonia will be released in China on July 8th.
