David Tennant and Matt Smith Both Open to Returning to DOCTOR WHO

In a dream meet up, both Matt Smith and David Tennant attended a Doctor Who panel at Wizard World NYC and expressed their interest in returning to the series! Outer Places says both said they would be up for a return to the franchise, although not full time. Smith was the first to speak up...

"I really want to!"

Smith then went on to talk about how it would be cool if 9 and 10 could have a 6 episode run each or something like that, but only if Peter Capaldi was okay with it. Tennant said that either of the two returning is definite, the only question is how or when...

"It's one of those things where I don't think you could ever go back to it full time...but there's almost a built in invitation to come back."

With Doctor Who on a one-year hiatus, it would've been cool to see a couple one off's on holidays to keep the show in the mind of fans, I think! I don't imagine we'll be hearing anything about the show's fate until late this year unfortunately. I'm not opposed to Tennant and Smith making a return, but I would like to see Capaldi take the reins once more with the level of writing they were blessed with.

Arya's Blind Fight Training Begins in GAME OF THRONES Season 6 Clip

A brief new clip has been released from Game of Thrones season 6 called "Arya's Blind Training," and it features Arya Stark (Maisie  Williams) who is put in a situation that forces her to take her first steps in learning how to fight again. Arya is one of the most interesting characters to follow in this story, and I'm looking forward to seeing where season 6 leads her next.

Is Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) dead? What is Cersei's (Lena Headey)  retaliation for her public shaming through the streets of King's Landing? How will she welcome Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) home, once she learns the outcome of his rescue mission? With Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) back in Dothraki lands, what will become of Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) and Mereen? These questions and more will be answered in season 6 of HBO's critically acclaimed fantasy series, Game of Thrones.

Details on Black Panther's Costume in CIVIL WAR with Concept Art and Action-Packed Audi Promo Clip

Some new Captain America: Civil War promo material has been released to help prepare you for the greatness that awaits you in the highly anticipated film. We've got a few new pieces of concept art for Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman) created by artist Ryan Meinerding, who offers some information on the costume and what they wanted to accomplish with it:

"The overall concept is that it’s a woven suit- on a more granular level, there is Vibranium woven into the fabric. This Vibranium thread would provide a silver sheen so that when it catches the light, it would glisten a bit. From there we tried to create a design language for patterns to fit very subtly into the hard Vibranium pieces that are woven through the suit."

I thought the costume design was awesome in the movie. It perfectly captured the character, and I think they accomplished exactly what they were going for. Black Panther is definitely one of the coolest characters in the movie, and it's a lot of fun watching him fight.

I also included an action-packed Audi tie-in promo for the film that incorporates some great footage from the film. It basically offers an extended look at a crazy chase sequence involving Captain America, The Winter Solider, and Black Panther. Seeing this scene in context with the full film is even more exciting!

Captain America: Civil War will be released on May 6th. You'll find the concept art under the video. Also, in case you haven't read my review for the film yet, you can check it out here.

Crispin Glover (Back to the Future) and Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom) have been cast in Starz upcoming fantasy drama American Gods, which is a story that comes from the mind of Neil Gaiman

American Gods focuses on "a war brewing between old and new gods: the traditional gods of biblical and mythological roots from around the world steadily losing believers to an upstart pantheon of gods reflecting society’s modern love of money, technology, media, celebrity and drugs. Its protagonist, Shadow Moon, is an ex-con who becomes bodyguard and traveling partner to Mr. Wednesday, a conman but in reality one of the older gods, on a cross-country mission to gather his forces in preparation to battle the new deities."

Tucker will be taking on the role of Low-Key Lyesmith, who is described as “wiry and fast-talking, with an offbeat sense of humor and someone who has a theory for everything and gives Shadow some sage advice to ready him for the outside world.” Mr. World will be played by Glover, who is “sometimes more challenged by his own subordinates than his enemies.” These are two separate characters that are actually one and the same. In the novel, both are revealed to be the Norse God Loki.

The series is being developed by Bryan Fuller and Michael Green. The two actors join Ricky White as Shadow Moon, Ian McShane as Mr. Wednesday, Emily Browning as Shadow’s wife Laura, Sean Harris as leprechaun Mad Sweeney, Yetide Badaki as love goddess Bilquis, and Bruce Langley as petulant god Technology Boy.

Eric Goldberg has done several projects for Disney, but among his most memorable is working with Robin Williams on Aladdin. For someone who never imagined the amount of communication that went on between a voice actor and animator, this is amazing. I cannot even begin to imagine the talent you have to be able to listen to Williams on a track and begin to draw what you are hearing! Amazing interview! Thanks to Wacom for sharing!

THE TWILIGHT ZONE Is Returning to Television...With 'Audience Interaction'

I guess if it wasn't weird it wouldn't be The Twilight Zone! The Wrap is bringing the news this morning that the series will be having an "interactive reboot" headed up by film company Interlude, who is known for their "choose your adventure" style films. Before you ask, yes, I'm guessing this too will be exclusive to their streaming service as I don't know how this would work on television. The idea sounds pretty cool though!

In another cool bit of news, director of the Bioshock video game series Ken Levine is set to direct the pilot episode of the series. I'm open to the idea, provided the decisions actually have an impact on the show's plot. I won't be so keen if either decision ends in the same destination. I'm eager to see how this turns out.

Video: Jackie Chan Has a Secret House Full of More Secrets

This is the coolest celebrity home I've ever seen! Jackie Chan gave a tour of his secret Hong Kong home (now no longer a secret), and it's just as incredible outside as it is inside! For starters, it's in an abandoned warehouse! Then he's walking us through the rooms and revealing secret rooms and chambers containing more secret rooms and chambers! But why would you showcase your secret house to the world!?

I think Chan is bored and is wanting to take on some thieves. Would you be brave enough to invade the home of a martial arts expert with several secret rooms?! I sure as hell wouldn't!

Jon Chu Will Return to Direct NOW YOU SEE ME 3

Lionsgate obviously isn't finished with the magician heist franchise Now You See Me. The studio has just signed Jon Chu to return to direct Now You See Me 3. He directed the upcoming sequel that they attempted to screen for an audience at CinemaCon last week. Unfortunately, after about 15 minutes they turned it off and evacuated the theater due to mysterious backpack discovered in the theater.

I was really bummed out because I was excited about seeing the movie! I'm a big fan of the franchise regardless of how over the top it is. Hell, that's one of the reasons I enjoy it! I liked what I saw in the first 15 minutes, though!

There's no word on what this next film will entail, but you can bet that it's going to include some kind of heist and some crazy cool magic! I also imagine that Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Dave Franco, and Lizzy Caplan will reprise their roles. Who knows, maybe even Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Daniel Radcliffe will come back as well.

The third film was officially announced last year during the development of Now You See Me 2, so I'm sure this third film will be set up in part two. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with these characters over the course of the next couple movies.

JURASSIC WORLD 2 Will Be Directed by J.A. Bayona

Universal Pictures has finally hired a director to take on Jurassic World 2. That director is J.A. Bayona, who brought us The Impossible and The Orphanage. Producers Frank Marshall and Colin Trevorrow made the announcement on their Twitter feeds:

Bayona was rumored to be the frontrunner for the job after he dropped out of Paramount Picture's World War Z sequel. Bayona is a talented director and this will be his biggest movie to date. I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with it.

Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are expected to reprise their roles, and the sequel is set to be released on June 22nd, 2018.

Jon Favreau Returning to Marvel to Produce AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR

I've been hoping that one day Iron Man director Jon Favreau would return to Marvel to direct another movie someday. Even though he doesn't have any directing projects with Marvel coming up, he still has a home with them, and apparently he's still helping them develop their upcoming projects.

During an interview with Digital Spy, the actor, director, writer, and producer revealed that he'll be back as an executive producer on the Russo Brothers' next two films, Avengers: Infinity War Parts 1 and 2. He told them:

"I'm going to be executive producing the Avengers films with the Russo brothers, which I'm very excited about. I talk to them about it all the time. I've worked both in front of and behind the camera with Marvel and I really love what they're doing now. It's a really exciting time to be over there... We're constantly looking for things to do together. And now I'm freed up."

So maybe there's a chance Favreau will come back to direct something for them again somewhere down the line. The director also went on to say that he's seen Captain America: Civil War and that "it's fantastic."

It's not really that big of a surprise that Favreau is coming back to produce another movie. It's just nice to know that he's keeping that relationship alive. Not only did he direct and produce Iron Man and Iron Man 2. He also was an EP on Iron Man 3, Avengers, and Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Favreau is hot off of his success with The Jungle Book, which he is also directing the sequel to. Who knows, maybe Happy Hogan will show up again in Infinity War!

ARROW Will Explore Oliver's Bratva Connections in Season 5

Arrow season five will finally explore Oliver's Bratva connections. CBR says showrunner Marc Guggenheim says the flashbacks will continue as the series heads into next season. Guggenheim says fans who who are tired of flashbacks may be so due to the fact there isn't much of a difference in Oliver past and Oliver present at this point in the story.

Frankly, I have no clue where this show is headed. I haven't heard an utterance of Bratva since early season 2. If I would've seen these flashbacks season one they would've meant so much more, but the Russians literally have no presence in the story currently. For me, I feel like I'm basically going to learn how he got his tattoo. Hooray.

Poster Posse's Chris Malbon Creates Otherworldly Art for THE JUNGLE BOOK

This incredible poster for The Jungle Book showed up in my twitter feed, and I am in love with it. It comes from Poster Posse member Chris Malbon, and it was part of an official collaboration the posse did with Disney. You can check out the other designs here and here, but this one is my absolute favorite. I love the kind of pseudo decoupage style (is that a thing?), and I love the way the jungle is literally sprouting out of the book. You can see more of Malbon’s work here.

Off topic query for our readers:If you have seen the movie, do you think young kids will do okay watching it? I was thinking about taking my son, but I’m worried it will be too intense…

Jesse Eisenberg Hasn't Seen BATMAN V SUPERMAN, But His Parents Liked It

Jesse Eisenberg told MTV News he has not seen Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but not because he read Ben’s review and decided against it. He just doesn’t like watching himself on film. He had no reaction to the (mostly bad) reviews of the movie because he lives “in a bubble,” so he didn’t see the movie to form his own opinion, and he didn’t read what anyone else thought of it. He does know that reviews were “mixed” because the British press told him. He says his parents like it though.

The MTV News interviewer also asked Eisenberg if he understood Lex Luthor’s plan and who he was working with in the film. He said that he did and that it made sense while he was filming, but that “certain editorial choices that [he] was not aware of” were put in retroactively. Curious…

The interview was part of the press tour for Now You See Me 2 (which should obviously be called Now You Don’t), so Dave Franco is sitting next to Eisenberg nodding pensively for most of the video. Now You See Me 2 hits theaters on June 10. Batman v Superman is in theaters now, in case you haven't seen it and still want to.

DEADPOOL Director Is Trying to Get Spider-Man to Crossover with Fox’s Marvel Films

$

I know that you think getting Spider-Man into Fox’s X-Men films is a pipe dream, but Deadpool director Tim Miller and producer Simon Kinberg are actually attempting to pave a way to strike a deal. When talking about the possibility of getting Spider-Man into their universe with SuperHeroHype, Miller said:

“Simon and I have been trying to build bridges.”

Those bridges are trying to be built with Marvel and Sony. Since Sony and Marvel were able to strike a deal, it means it’s not impossible to make deals with other studios. Kinberg went on to say:

“Both of us are close with [Marvel’s] Kevin [Feige], we respect and love Kevin. If it were even remotely possible, we will find a way ’cause we’d would love to see it… I just don’t know if it would be possible.”

I believe it is possible if everyone is willing to work nicely together. This would open doors to so many possibilities! One of the main things that Miller wants to see is a team-up of Spider-Man and Deadpool, which would be AMAZING!

I also think there’s a clever way to play with that with a PG-13 rating. Deadpool could be cracking all kinds of jokes regarding that. The relationship between Deadpool and Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most popular, so it would totally be worth striking a deal. That’s a team-up that fans would absolutely love to see!

That deal could also open up the door for Marvel and Sony to actually use X-Men characters in their movies and vice-versa. The thought of a full-on connected Marvel cinematic universe with all these studios is exciting to think about!

There’s obviously nothing concrete with this, but to know that Miller and Kinberg are trying to build bridges with the studio to make it happen is insanely radical! Let's make it happen people!

Daisy Ridley to Star in Fantasy Romance KOLMA For Producer J.J. Abrams

Daisy Ridley is set to star in another J.J. Abrams produced film project called Kolma. The film is a fantasy thriller that is being directed by Marielle Heller, who previously directed Diary of a Teenage Girl

Kolma will be a remake of Keren Margalit’s 2003 Israeli movie of the week, which was titled All I’ve Got. The story is described as “a cross between a loftier, more mystical version of The Notebook and Albert Brooks‘ 1991 fantasy romance Defending Your Life, the project follows a young couple who get in a car accident that leaves the man dead. 50 years later, the old woman is about to cross over and make the choice whether to reunite with her long-lost love in the hereafter or return to the fateful day her life changed forever.”

This sounds like a fascinating story and it sounds like a great project for Ridley to be a part of. She’s such a wonderful young actress and after seeing her in The Force Awakens, I’m looking forward to watching whatever else she ends up being a part of. She is also currently wanted for the upcoming Tomb Raider reboot that’s set up at Warner Bros.

It makes complete sense that Ridley and Abrams would work together again. After all, he’s the guy who gave the actress her big shot! The actress is currently shooting Star Wars: Episode VIII with director Rian Johnson.

J.K. Rowling Reveals New Wand Designs for HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD

With the two-part Harry Potter and the Cursed Child stage play in development, the concept art for some of the props in the play has started to surface. The first piece of art comes from J.K. Rowling herself, and it gives us a look at some of the new wand designs that were created for the production.

The image shows wands for Hermione, Harry, Ron, Draco, and Ginny, complete with style notes and wood types. If you're a talented craftsman, you could probably use this art to bring these wands to life for you own selfish desires!

In this new story, we learn what happened to Harry Potter, his family, and his friends. Here’s what we know about the story so far:

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn’t much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Oscar Isaac Says STAR WARS: EPISODE VIII Will Explore Things Never Explored in STAR WARS

Look, I’m already insanely excited for Star Wars: Episode VIII, but leave it to Oscar Isaac to make me even more excited! The actor recently did an interview with the L.A. Times, and he talked about how the movie will explore things that have never been explored in the Star Wars universe before. He explains:

“[Director] Rian [Johnson] is definitely going to places and investigating things that haven’t really been done in the Star Wars universe. For me, it’s so fun getting to explore different things that I wouldn’t have expected in this universe. In some ways it feels like we’re making an independent film. Certain things we get to play with—this kind of intimacy that we get to find—it’s special. It’s been really fun.”

That’s so cool to hear! I guess that means we can expect the unexpected in this movie, and that’s pretty damn thrilling. I also like that he says the movie feels like an independent film and that there’s an intimacy to it. That’s exactly how the original films were made. I guess we shouldn’t be surprised by this because the movie is being directed by Johnson who brought us films such as Brick, The Brothers Bloom, and Looper

I was hoping he’d be able to bring the indie film intimacy of those films to Star Wars, and it sounds like that’s exactly what he’s done.

Star Wars: Episode VIII opens December 15th, 2017.
