The sixth season of The Walking Dead returns this Sunday! It’s the beginning of the end for everything that we know about the series because the introduction of Negan is going to turn everything on its head.

AMC has released the first four minutes of the midseason premiere for you to watch to help build your excitement for what is to come. Of course, after watching the video, I was just bummed out that I couldn’t watch the entire first episode! Four minutes is a heavy tease that just leaves you wanting more.

Another adrenaline-fueled, action-packed trailer has been released for Sharlto Copley's new thriller, Hardcore Henry. The movie previously went by the title Hardcore. What makes this movie so special and unique is the fact that the whole thing is shot from the point of view of the main character, just like the first-person video games that we enjoy playing.

The main character is a mute, amnesiac cyborg who is brought back from the dead by his wife through the wonders of science. Not long after he wakes up he's being shot at, and the adventure begins. The movie looks awesomely insane, and I'm excited as hell to watch it. This is one of those films that is going to take audiences on a fantastically wild ride of death and carnage.

You'll also notice in the trailer that Copley plays multiple characters in the film. Here's the synopsis:

Strap in. Hardcore Henry is one of the most unflinchingly original wild-rides to hit the big screen in a long time:  You remember nothing. Mainly because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife (Haley Bennett). She tells you that your name is Henry. Five minutes later, you are being shot at, your wife has been kidnapped, and you should probably go get her back. Who's got her? His name's Akan (Danila Kozlovsky); he's a powerful warlord with an army of mercenaries, and a plan for world domination. You're also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, and everyone wants you dead. Everyone except for a mysterious British fellow called Jimmy (Sharlto Copley.) He may be on your side, but you aren't sure. If you can survive the insanity, and solve the mystery, you might just discover your purpose and the truth behind your identity. Good luck, Henry. You're likely going to need it...

It would be nearly impossible and take forever to capture every time The Simpsons referenced a film in their show, but this compilation does a pretty good job. Vimeo user CGMZZ mostly sticks to the earlier seasons of the show, and shows America's favorite yellow family paying homage to Stanley Kubrick, Francis Ford Coppola, Alfred Hitchcock, and Steven Spielberg.

What other movie references have happened in the show that she missed? I'm guessing couch gags don't count as I can remember quite a few of those. I remember the episode that made fun of The Green Mile... but other than that I'm drawing a blank. Help me out!

About a week ago, the crossover between The Flash and Supergirl was officially confirmed and then Kara Zor-El was very briefly glimpsed during the episode of The Flash that aired on Tuesday. And that set fans' excitement on fire!

Even though producers are trying to reveal as few details as possible, Grant Gustin obviously lacks the ability to be secretive. So on his Instagram page he shared the first photo of him and Melissa Benoist, both wearing their superhero costumes. Barry Allen and Kara can be seen on set, while shooting “World Finest” — Supergirl’s eighteenth episode.

Gustin will make an appearance in the Supergirl episode on Monday, March 28.

Last year a photo leaked from the set giving us out first look at a new motorcycle vehicle in Paul Feig's Ghostbusters reboot. They call it the Ecto-2, and thanks to IGN, today we have an official photo to share with you. It will be interesting to see how the Ecto-2 will be utilized in the movie. I imagine it will be something that Chris Hemsworth's secretary character uses to get around in.

This isn't the only Ecto-2 that has existed. In the animated series The Real Ghostbusters, the Ecto-2 was a two-seater autogyro. I actually had the toy for this. If you don't remember it, I included a photo below.

The movie also stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, and Leslie Jones as the four Ghostbusters. Hemsworth will play their secretary; Andy Garcia is taking on the role of the Mayor of New York City; Michael K. Williams plays a character named Hawkins; Matt Walsh is a character named Rourke; and Neil Casey will play the film’s villain.

The movie is set to be released on July 22nd, 2016. 

In my opinion, season three of House of Cards was its weakest season. I spent the whole season waiting for something to happen, and an incredibly slow burn led to a satisfying season finale, but damn, it was a boring trip to get there. Looks like Netflix agreed and we are going to see a lot more happening in the 4th season of the hit drama.

Who will prevail in the war between Frank and Claire? Man, that's like watching a Super Bowl with two teams you hate.

Season 4 premieres March 4th on Netflix.

The final trailer has been released for Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. It's loaded with some awesome new footage, and the best part is actually seeing Batman in action kicking some major ass! It doesn't look like this movie is going to disappoint on a visual or action-packed level. That alone is going to provide fans with some solid entertainment. It will just be a major plus if the script and story are as good. I've also included the cool IMAX poster for the film above.

In perhaps the weirdest casting news I've seen in awhile, The Wrap is reporting that Danny McBride will be joining Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterson in the film that will link Prometheus to the Alien franchise.

He's not just in a side role either, they're saying he's billed to co-star in Alien: Covenant!

Turns out Kenny Powers is a huge movie geek and that's how he and director Ridley Scott began to discuss this role in the first place. I've got to admit I'm intrigued to see McBride do something outside the world of comedy, which he made his mark in Hollywood with. Hopefully he's the Maverick we all want him to be!

When Disney announced that they would be phasing out the previously established Star Wars universe moving forward, fans were upset. Although no one had a hard and fast number, it was apparent at the time that tons of lore, characters, and story lines would now be forgotten and go to waste. Now, thanks to EPFL, we know exactly how much was lost.

Sit down before you read this. Before its erasure, there were 20,000 total characters in the Star Wars universe. Of these characters (many of whom appeared in books, comics, video games), 7,500 played in important role in the lore. Ever wonder why there was a Jedi council for just a couple Jedi in the films? That's because there were actually 1,367 Jedi in the actual canon. There were also 724 Sith.

Out of 294 planets, the scholars found that 80% of the galaxy's population was human. Below you'll find a pie chart that will give you a ballpark idea of the size of the other races.

Essentially, it all comes out to A LOT of dismissed history. While Disney has been cherrypicking which characters they will have come back, it still sucks that a company as attentive to detail as them would not try to work within the expanded universe, don't you think?

How'd they do it? Using a computer program that pulls connected data from the web and attempts to connect it finding the same phrases or references. You can read all about that here.

The Six Million Dollar Man himself, Lee Majors, has officially been cast as Brock Williams, Ash's father, in Sam Raimi's Ash Vs. Evil Dead series. I've never really thought about Ash's dad, or what kind of person he would be, but it looks like we're going to find out! The casting of Majors in the role seems like a perfect fit! 

The news comes from TV Line who also reports that executive producer Ted Raimi has also joined the cast of Season 2. He will play Ash's childhood best friend, Chet Kaminski. Ted is Sam Raimi's older brother, and he has appeared in all of the previously made Evil Dead films in different roles. 

The first season of Ash Vs. Evil Dead was amazingly entertaining. It was everything I was hoping it would be and more. I can't help but think that things are just going to get even better with season two. It will be fun to see how Ash's pops and best friend fit into the story.

Season two of Ash vs. Evil Dead will premiere sometime in 2016.

Sometimes you see things on the Internet that leave you without words. Once I regained my composure from seeing this My Little Pony cosplay on Kotaku Australia, I was led to well-known drag queen Phi Phi O' Hara. O' Hara is in the midst of 365 days of drag, which has essentially become cosplay, which O' Hara says is one and the same.

A new red-band trailer has been released for the action comedy The Brothers Grimsby, which stars Mark Strong as an MI6 assassin and Sacha Baron Cohen as his goofy, football-loving brother. I really enjoyed this latest trailer, which has a lot of great new footage for you to laugh at and enjoy. It's been awhile since I've seen a film from Baron Cohen that I've actually liked, but this looks like it's going to be hilarious. Here's the synopsis:

Nobby (Sacha Baron Cohen), a sweet but dimwitted English football hooligan, reunites with his long-lost brother Sebastian (Mark Strong), a deadly MI6 agent, to prevent a massive global terror attack and prove that behind every great spy is an embarrassing sibling.

Nobby has everything a man from Grimsby could want, including 11 children and the most gorgeous girlfriend in the northeast of England (Rebel Wilson). There's only one thing missing: his little brother, Sebastian, who Nobby has spent 28 years searching for after they were separated as kids. Nobby sets off to reunite with Sebastian, unaware that not only is his brother MI6's deadliest assassin, but he's just uncovered plans for an imminent global terrorist attack. On the run and wrongfully accused, Sebastian realizes that if he is going to save the world, he will need the help of its biggest idiot.

The Brothers Grimsby was directed by Louis Leterrier (The Transporter, The Incredible Hulk, Clash of the Titans, Now You See Me), and it arrives in theaters on March 11th, 2016.

Drop what you're doing and watch this incredible stop-motion animated film called Battery Life. The film tells the story of a family of robots living in a desert dystopia who, after a tragedy, learn a dark secret being hidden by a robot zealot that is the leader of a nearby robot citadel.

The short was directed by Justin Nixon, who also wrote and animated the film on a budget of $5,000. He has created an incredible world here and he wonderfully developed some great characters to help tell his powerful story. This is seriously a must-watch impressively made film that is full of intrigue, drama, and action. Here's the synopsis:

Battery Life is a stop motion short film that tells a story of determination, self-sacrifice, and deceit. Set in a dystopian desert landscape, a robot family, through the test of tragedy, discovers a dark secret hidden behind the doctrine of a preacher.

Battery Life is our introduction. A film to say, “Here we are.” We are a team of people willing and able to work hard for something we believe in, something we think is really cool. And we did just that. On a budget of only $5000 (crowdfunded and out of pocket), we created this ten minute, thirty-five second stop motion film.

If you ran into me as I was walking out of the screening of Snow White and The Huntsman a few years ago and asked if I'd be interested in another movie set in that universe, I would have said no faster than I've ever said anything in my life. But the upcoming prequel Huntsman: Winter's War has both Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt in it, and since they're two of my favorite working actresses, I wondered if this was something I'd actually need to go see.

But this new trailer for the movie has convinced me my first instinct was correct. The film looks like a generic collection of fairy tale tropes filtered through a modern lens that makes it appear simultaneously glamorous and dirty. Hemsworth looks like he left any sense of personality at home, and since this takes place before Snow White and The Huntsman, there's a good chance that Chastain and Blunt don't make it out of this movie alive, which will likely remove whatever tension they may be able to build throughout this story.

The Huntsman: Winter's War hits theaters on April 22nd.

Hayao Miyazaki's movies are widely known for their warm colors, cute pets, brave characters, attractive storylines, and incredible attention to detail. But one of the most significant parts of any Miyazaki film is actually the food. Miyazaki uses food in specific ways to bring characters together, build their relationships, and add depth to the story.

While there are only a few scenes involving food in Howl’s Moving Castle, Miyazaki does not fail to make them significant. In this film, the food is used to symbolize Sophie’s growing relationships with the characters she meets throughout the movie.

The first meal we see Sophie eat is very simple—bread and cheese. This is when she has left her mother and sister and gone off on her own to the Waste, to try to find a cure for the curse that makes her look like an old woman. Her meal, like her current family situation, is incomplete.

The second meal of the film takes place the morning after Sophie has moved into Howl’s castle, having met Calcifer and Markl. Markl sets about making breakfast—bread and cheese again—and Sophie asks him why he doesn’t want eggs or bacon. His response, explaining that only Howl can cook using Calcifer, carries significance—they can’t have a complete meal without the complete family being there.

Sophie ignores Markl’s comments and convinces (blackmails) Calcifer to let her cook. Just as she starts frying the bacon, Howl returns and finishes the cooking, allowing them all to share an entire meal. While the food is great, the dining experience is a bit…lacking. They are eating on a dirty table, using bowls for cups, and one utensil each, as the rest are all dirty.

Howl leaves after this meal, and Sophie and Markl are subsequently returned to eating their simple bread.

From here we have to wait around 45 minutes until we see another food scene in the movie, and during that time, more characters have come to live at Howl’s castle—the Witch of the Waste and Heen, Madame Sullivan’s dog.

While we don’t really get to see the food for this meal, everyone appears to be enjoying it. We do get to see the clean table and nice dishware—a large improvement from last time—but the main focus is on everyone that is at the table. This meal, just like Sophie’s family, is finally complete.

Is Ryan Reynolds having an identity crisis?

Last year, he starred in Self/Less, in which Ben Kingsley implants his memories into Reynolds' younger body. Now Reynolds is in a new movie called Criminal, a film in which he puts his memories into Kevin Costner's body. And both of these come after the 2011 film The Change-Up, in which he switches bodies with Jason Bateman after the two of them pee into the same magic fountain.

In any case, here's the Criminal trailer, which features Costner as some sort of badass operative and has a pretty stacked cast that includes Tommy Lee Jones, Gal Gadot, Alice Eve, Michael Pitt, and Gary Oldman. Still, I can't quite shake the fact that this looks like a direct-to-video action movie. Criminal hits theaters on April 15th.

The story of the right man in the wrong body. In a last-ditch effort to stop a diabolical plot, a dead CIA operative’s memories, secrets, and skills are implanted into an unpredictable and dangerous death-row inmate in hopes the he will complete the operative’s mission.

Author John Le Carre provided the basis for the exceptionally cast Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy a few years ago, and that trend is continuing with upcoming adaptations of his work. The Night Manager, which stars Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie, looks fantastic, but this new trailer for Our Kind of Traitor looks just as good (if not better), and it features a cast that includes Ewan McGregor, Naomie Harris, Damian Lewis, Stellan Skarsgard, and Sherlock's Mark Gatiss.

McGregor plays a professor who gets caught in a web of international espionage, and it looks like a terrific little thriller that will scratch the itch of anyone yearning for an adult spy drama. The movie has a May 6th release date in the U.K., but Lionsgate hasn't set a U.S. release date yet. We'll keep you posted.

I've made my disdain for Michael Bay's Transformers movies extremely clear on this site in the past, and Paramount's plan to milk this franchise for all it's worth by creating spin-offs and sequels has only fueled my contempt for it. But considering how much money these movies continually make at the worldwide box office, odds are that some of you out there love these films and continue to pay to see each one on the big screen. If that's you, you may enjoy watching Burger Fiction's recap of all four live-action movies in 90 seconds — even though I think it's clear that the editors of this video don't have much love for the franchise and are highlighting how it's rarely more than gnashing metal and terrible attempts at humor.
